Calling all Slytherins!
Thank you for your interest in supporting a Slytherin Broom Fund. This fund will be used to upgrade brooms for the Slytherin Quidditch Team and the Slytherin Broom Racing Team.
Brooms are crucial to the performance of our teams, but can be very pricey for younger students and even older students who are looking to upgrade. An upgraded broom can be very helpful in terms of stat boosts and abilities that best suit our players. Therefore, we would really appreciate your helpful contribution!
How this process works:
- Please send your donation to Jabari ya Nyota, our designated fund-keeper. Jabari, played by current captain Vale Ashwood, has kindly offered to hold our funds to make sure that they are safeguarded for the correct purposes. This fund will not be affiliated with staff in any other way except for safe-keeping. Don't forget to note that your donation is "For the Slytherin Broom Fund"! If you have a preference as to whether your funds are going to Quidditch or Broom Racing, please specify. If you wish to stay anonymous, please include that in your note as well.
- If you are a first-year, and cannot send money, feel free to send Jabari items of any value! They can be sold, and every little bit helps.
- If you have a broom that you would like to donate, please send it to Jabari and we will keep it as inventory to be distributed.
- We will update this thread with your donation amount for each month that we receive donations or make purchases. We will keep a proper ledger to let you know what our funds are being used for.
- Prioritization of funds: Funds will first be used to get players off school brooms. Choice of broom will depend on the funds we have available. Then, funds will go towards students who require the least amount of donations to upgrade to their broom of choice. In each case, students with the least required donation amount will be prioritized first. When seeking upgrades, previous beneficiaries of the fund will be required to either sell their current broom for cash, or donate their current broom to the fund before seeking further support from the fund.

12/5: Since the Broom Racing season has not yet started, we are prioritizing broom upgrades from undesignated funds/inventory for Quidditch before our next match.
12/13: Broom Racing captains and teams have been announced. We are now able to prioritize broom upgrades for broom racers.
