She was watching perhaps, the worst tennis match. One of hidden words and mixed morals. Of a game that she barely knew the rules to but the players were experts in. Her body felt cold where Flash's hand in hers had previously been. Her heart hardened under the realization of being fooled once more by the silver tongue of a serpent. Willow hard swallowed, words getting caught in her throat. Unable to come to terms with the idea that her brother, this dear person she had brought into her life. Introduced to her family. Brought to her grandmother's grave. Given a quilt with her family's crest on it, started by her grandmother and ended with Willow. How-
Willow barely flinched as Jack punched Flash. Her mind was elsewhere, thinking of how much Flash hadn't told her. Of how much he still didn't trust her, when she trusted him with everything. The sentiments in Jack's anger were echoed in Willow's heart. She had always been patient, waiting for Flash. Watching as he grew, hoping someday... someday he would open up. But three years later and still, nothing. In a flash no pun intended, he changed from her brother to a stranger. Her arms wrapped tightly around her middle, hoping to protect any last vulnerability that she had spared Flash. What else was there to hide when for three years she had laid her soul bare for the boy in front of her.
Soon it seemed like chaos descended on them. The girl that seemed to be the new holder of Flash's heart came to save him. Willow watched as she had the same calming effect on him as she had just minutes earlier. Ah, she was never really that special was she? She flinched at the happy birthday, the last sting at the insult of a day.
As he started to walk away she tried to steel her expression and remain neutral, the tears couldn't help but build in her eyes. It was not an act to gain sympathy, but a slow crack of her and the person she loved and knew disintegrating under the surface. Not giving another glance to those that had surrounded the conflict, she walked off into the least crowded area of the celebration, discarding the flower crown she had made to match Flash in the process.

"If I told you, you would have stopped me."
The words were faint, but Jack's ears strained for them. Rage boiled his hurt, disappointment, and sorrow. It seemed that was the only answer he was going to get.
"Yeah? Well did you maybe ever pause to think about why I might have stopped you?" he hissed. By then, however, another girl had stepped in. Jack recognized her from the Valentine's Tea Party as the one who had asked Flash to be her valentine.
“How about you use your words next time?” she shot at him.
At that, Jack had to laugh. It was a mirthless, hollow sound, but the irony was too much. Jack, the Chatter Fox, loved using words more than pretty much anything. He had always been against those who used their brawn over their brain. This time, though, he himself had resorted to violence. She must have thought him one of those physical brutes he always used to make fun of and ridicule in the past.
"...Sometimes words just aren't enough," Jack answered dully, thinking about Victor and how he would likely never come back to life again. How he had probably died in agony and fear with no one there to mourn for him. How Flash had tried to cover it up and seemed to feel no remorse for his murder even now. Still, this girl didn't know that.
Well, let her think what she wanted. Let Flash keep his facade with his fake friends. Jack wanted no part of it. It was one of the things that irritated him most about the other boy. If he was going to be painted as the bad guy in this situation, so be it. He had gotten his message across.
Jack ignored the girl who had drawn her wand (Lucia) and boy (Lee) who had come to cover Flash and Eun-ji, it seemed her name was. He turned away from the retreating students, looking back once more at the burning dragon effigy. He gazed at it, his eyes glazing over as he stared into the flames.
The girl with the wand called out to Willow and Jack spared her a glance. Flash had wished her a happy birthday. It was her birthday, then? The redhead sighed. It must have made the whole thing even worse for her. Before he could move or say anything to her, however, Willow had turned to walk away, tossing aside her flower crown as she did so.
Well, it wasn't as if Jack could comfort her even if he had tried. He thought he knew something of what she felt, but it wasn't like she would have listened to him anyway. They had never really gotten along, but they both cared about Flash and there were things he thought he could empathize with her about. Nevertheless, she probably wanted to be alone after what had just happened.
Feeling tired and defeated, Jack drifted back the way he had come. He wasn't really feeling much like staying for the rest of the festival now, but it seemed the festivities were starting to come to a close regardless. As he passed Evelynn, he nodded to her vaguely, lost in thought.

ACTION: Dragging Flash away to safety
Blue in English, Red in KoreanJack's reaction was milder than she expected. He had laughed but it was that special type of laugh one only let out during dire situations. Eun-ji was pretty familiar with the sound by now and didn't take it personally. After all, besides the punch, she didn't even know who was right and who was wrong here. It wouldn't make any difference if she asked. No body would tell her anyway. She felt like an outsider. A stranger accidentally stumbling on a secret gathering. There may have been no outward indication of it but Eun-ji was terribly nervous. This was well outside her comfort zone and she feared being rejected. She went as far as grabbing Flash's hand and she would be absolutely mortified if he shook it off. Thankfully, the boy did no such thing. Instead, he squeezed her hand back and though he didn't say anything, it was painfully obvious that he wanted out. It was all the witch needed to know. She was vaguely aware of her cousin and Lucia's joining the fray but didn't have a capacity to address that at the time. Her mind was too preoccupied with the boy holding her hand. She would thank them and apologise later. I'm not making their evening very enjoyable today. The girl realised, feeling a bit guilty before her brain decided to concentrate on her current predicament.
Willow didn't follow them... She looked hurt and opted to escape the situation on her own rather than join her brother. It was not just a silly spat then. Eun-ji concluded, her heart aching for the boy. He probably hoped the Hufflepuff would come as well. I guess I will have to do for now. As her anger settled down, the witch was slowly becoming aware of the physical contact between them. Strangely enough, she found that she didn't mind it herself but she was feeling a tad self-conscious. Only...Flash was clutching onto her hand as if his life depended on it. A fact that helped to chase her worries away pretty quickly. It wasn't until they reached a spot virtually devoid of people that she stopped and turned to look at her friend. She didn't let go, instead letting him be the one to do so in his own time. Eun-ji was happy to lend him her limb for a bit longer should he consider it in any way comforting. Alternatively, she would also not stop him if he decided to let go immediately. At this time, she was more concerned about his wellbeing. It bothered her that she couldn't do anything about it. Neither of the two healing spells she learned so far could provide much of a relief and she didn't have enough information to ease the emotional damage either. However this didn’t mean she didn’t intend to at least try.
Looking around, the Ravenclaw confirmed Ye-jun and Lucia weren’t on their heels. They probably followed her to mark her approximate location but decided to give them some space for now. Another thing she had to thank them for. (godmod approved by Lucia) The Ravenclaw reached her hand and touched Flash's cheek ever so gently. Are you in any pain?" She asked before dropping her arm down again, not wanting to make him uncomfortable. She wouldn't ask if he was okay because clearly he wasn't and she hated when people did that. It really only left you with two options. Tell them even if you didn't feel like it or stick with the obvious lie. I'm fine. It felt like she was saying that a lot too recently. Still not asking didn't mean she wasn't curious. While her question implied, she was only interested in his physical wellbeing, her eyes probably told a whole another story. She knew emotional pain could often be far worse than the physical one. Eun-ji would settle for getting an answer to one of them though if that was all Flash was willing to give. She liked to leave an opportunity for others to avoid mentioning anything they didn't want to share and she was master at pretending that she heard everything she wanted to hear even when it wasn't the case. Eun-ji was someone who was there to listen without prying. She understood. She had her own secrets to protect now.

Aaron turned away from Eun-ji as she headed in a different direction, his attention back on his date for the evening. She commented on the fact that they were kinda just standing around, and he nodded in agreement. They should do something. His mind went to the question he was going to ask her before the fire incident, but she beat him to the punch.Regular Text - English | Bolded Text - Korean
Interacting: @Aly Salinger
Aaron's eyes traveled from the hand she was extending back to her masked face, and he couldn't help a grin forming on his face. The courage she had seemed to overflow in his direction as he spoke, "With you? Absolutely." The pink-jacketed third-year took her hand, exuding more confidence than he actually had and ignoring the flip of his stomach from the contact. They had never held hands before, but he tried not to make a big deal of it. The brunet boy led the way towards the band that was playing music. There was an ersatz dance floor in this area and Aaron turned to face Aly. He just barely hesitated before taking a step closer, his hand not leaving hers. Their clasped hands rose, and he had to focus as he placed a hand on her waist. His eyes traveled to hers and he felt a bit more at ease.
"A waltz, then?" he suggested, waiting for her confirmation before leading the dance. He had to count in his head for a little, but he quickly realized that Aly knew what she was doing. It made their progress around the dance floor a lot smoother than if she didn't. If anything, she might be more familiar with dancing than he was - though that was admittedly not a hard thing to accomplish. He'd only properly learned a waltz a few months ago with very few practice sessions since then. Of course, he'd brushed up on his knowledge leading up to this date, but actually dancing with her was so different. In a good way. Unbeknownst to him, he couldn't stop smiling as they waltzed across the area, and he said a joke or two to try and keep a smile on her lips as well.
Sure, his heart felt like it was pounding a kilometer a minute, but this felt nice. Natural almost. But also uncomfortable - like his stomach would leap out of his throat at any minute. Her presence was overwhelming - he didn't pay attention to anything else. Not the time that was passing or the other couples that might be dancing nearby, or the drama that might be taking place not far off. Aly was the main thing on Aaron's mind. He couldn't believe he was actually on a date with her. This was by far the best Hogwarts dance he had been to.
TL;DR: Accepting Aly's invitation to dance, leading the way onto the dance floor, leading them into a waltz sort of dance and having a good time

It would have been lovely.
Had Kim not taken a boomerang to the head for Sophia a few seconds earlier.
He could smell the fresh scent of flowers and Kim took a deep breath, letting it out slowly.
The tall, purple haired boy's right wrist was bandaged, along with the area on the right side of his back where the fire blossom had burned a hole from behind him. And of course, the area on the left side of his chest, above his pec muscle was also bandaged and burn paste had been put on all the aforementioned places. At least the tears that he hadn't been able to control before had stopped flowing and Kim was getting back to his usual cool and mysterious self.
He looked around for some sign of their friends.
"Hm, should we head to the crafting table and see if they're there?"
"Or should we wait for them near the entrance and see if they show up?" Kim asked Sophia as he glanced over at her. The other two girls hadn't shown up to watch them participate in the games and hadn't come to the healer's tent. So, they must have gotten busy somewhere. Maybe they were chatting to other people they knew at the ball? "I'll head over to the crafting table if you want to go try and find them?" He suggested to Sophia.
"Or would you rather stay with me and we can just wait for them there?" Kim asked, wondering what Sophia would want to do.

"What the heck was that all about, Kim" she asked in concern, almost missing the boomerang that'd been heading for her, "Are you okay?"
She carefully examined the back of his head, happy to note that the damage didn't seem too severe. She poked and prodded at the impact spot for a few minutes, but thankfully Kim didn't seem too terribly injured. She'd hate if he'd been hurt too badly trying to save her.
Returning her mind to the Ball, and Kim, Sophia realized that she was so, so eager to find her friends, but she was also so eager to check out the crafting table. No matter what she preferred first, though, there was an important matter to attend to.
"Kim," she said, fully serious and lacking her bite from earlier, "We need to talk about what happened earlier. Who was that boy? Why did he drop you onto the LEGOs?"
She had to get to the bottom of this. Letting poor Kim be hurt like that was unacceptable, and so was turning the other cheek, despite what her usual doctrine typically said about this kind of situation. They needed to talk about it so that they could track down the offender and bring him to justice. Or, at least so they could avoid it in the future.
She grabbed Kim's hand once again, dragging him back in the direction of the Firewalking course.
"While you tell me about this boy, we might as well go get our shoes. Mom got them for me, and I'd hate to lose them," she said, tapping her chin with her free hand, "Then we can go to the crafting table and mess around. If they want to find us, we'll be there in one spot. Easier than if we were walking around."
There. They had a plan of action. They could retrieve their shoes, Sophia could learn all about this mysterious boy, and they could make their way over to the crafting table soon after. It would be a night of fun, even despite the awkwardness of the earlier evening.
Maybe it was the adrenaline, or maybe it was her growth as a person, but Sophia didn't feel as angry or flustered anymore about the whole situation. She was still a bit annoyed, mostly at herself, but she was becoming desensitized to Kim's stupid charm and his actions from before. Would it last beyond the night? No. Probably not. But for now, she could just enjoy her time with Kim, as she always had before this Ball.
No matter what came of the night, she'd seen a vulnerability that she'd never seen in Kim when he was injured, and she would make sure it brought them closer together. She really did care about Kim, and she was proud to have him as a friend. Even if he was a deviant.

Kim blinked as Sophia spoke.
He didn't want to talk about it but at the same time he knew Sophia was stubborn.
A sigh escaped his lips. "I don't know why he dropped me on the LEGOs. Stalker tends to confuse me all the time. I never know what he's thinking and that's part of the problem." Kim told her as Sophia grabbed his good hand and dragged him over to the Firewalking course with her. He didn't say anything else on the subject because to him, he was done with it. As much as he thought about Stalker, he didn't know much about the boy.
Other than his eyes were like molten chocolate and seemed to envelop him in their depths. And if he tried to escape or go too deep, those eyes would burn him like the chocolate they represented. But enough of Stalker. Kim didn't want to think about him anymore. "Mm. I need to get mine too. Even though I can always get another pair, I don't like to waste things." He said as they walked and eventually they made it to the destined location.
Kim stooped as he bent down to pick up his shoes.
It was kind of hard to do with one hand but he somehow managed to do so.
He sat down on the ground and then pulled them onto his sore feet, wincing a little as the material scraped over his sensitive skin. "How are your feet doing, Sophia?" Kim asked, curious. What kind of pain tolerance did Sophia have? If he had to guess, Kim would think he had a medium-high tolerance level, he could handle a good deal of pain. Much more than the average human. But when it came to burns, it was different, those were the worst type to get.
He finally managed to secure his shoes to his feet and then stood up to regard her.

"There has to be some reason though. Did you make him mad? Say something that offended him?" she asked as she slipped her feet into her shoes, bending down to strap them on properly, "I just can't see why someone would do that. And there was something weird in the way you two were looking at each other, but I didn't get a good look."
She could still see Kim's face from that moment clearly in her head, but this 'Stalker' boy's face eluded her mind's eye. Again, it felt like when a word was on the tip of her tongue. Like, she knew that there was something weird about that boy and Kim, but she couldn't put her finger on it.
When Kim asked about her feet - likely to change the subject, she figured - she huffed her chest out with pride. She'd been somewhat ahead of most of the competitors in the firewalking event, so she wasn't hurt too badly.
"I don't know if you could see it from last place," she said with a friendly smirk and a shoulder bump to his good arm, "but I was pretty fast. My feet are fine."
After a brief pause, she quietly added, "Thanks for asking though."
When both were shoed and ready, Sophia grabbed Kim's good hand again, and began to drag him. They had a goal in mind. This Ball was far from over, and she wasn't going to let a little thing like injuries get in the way of them experiencing every possible activity remaining.
"Let's go, I saw a crafting area over there, and I want to make something," she said with a determined glint in her eyes.

Kim thought about it for a moment.
"No. I can't think of one. Our first meeting went really well though."
He said sarcastically, thinking back on the time he'd first laid eyes on the pretty boy. "I was waiting in the classroom for all the students to leave, so I could go afterward like I usually do. But when I got to the door, it slammed into my nose and face. I ended up falling back and hit the back of my head on the floor. I got a concussion out of that! And the culprit was Stalker, who was behind that door!"
Kim made a face. "He didn't even apologize. He just kicked the door open into my face. He didn't even knock to see if anyone was inside at the time!" The purple haired boy complained and his lips formed into a pout, as he glanced over in Felix's direction. "The only good thing that came out of this was that it was through Stalker's actions that I ended up meeting Precious in the first place." Kim said with a hum.
"She was at the hospital wing at the same time as me." He told Sophia with a smile.
Still... talking about their first meeting made Kim reminisce about the time. And without knowing it, he started to speak aloud, without thinking about what he was saying to Sophia.
"He cornered me against a desk and then pinned me against a wall in the classroom. The way he leaned forward until his lips were almost touching mine... I'm surprised I managed to escape with my life. I thought he was going to consume me." Okay damn, talking about it had made him almost re-live the moment. Kim's heart was pounding and his face had become flushed again. Why did Stalker do this?
He wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing that he'd met the rude but pretty Hufflepuff.
Kim cleared his throat.
"I call him 'Stalker' because after that he kept trying to attack me. Everywhere I went I'd see him staring at me. And sometimes he'd even go after me. It got to the point where I felt like I was going to pass out every time I saw his face. Gem tried to help me deal with him, as she apparently hates him too. I'm not sure what her story with him is but she seemed to have her own issues with the boy."
He shrugged. "Come to think of it, Precious was the one who said we were going to the ball together. Stalker also said he was going with someone." Kim's eyes narrowed at this. "Stupid girl, she doesn't even know she's being played with by him. But she seems enamored with him. It's unfortunate that she's Precious's friend, or I'd talk shit about her. As it is, I'm settling for ignoring her right now."
"And hating her just inside my mind." Kim growled.
Enough of this. He needed to get off the topic of Felix right now, Stalker didn't rule his life!
Kim smirked at Sophia's words. "You might want to get your eyes checked. I wasn't in last place. I might be close to last place but that's not the same as being dead last." He said with a wink and nodded when Sophia reassured him her feet were doing fine. As Sophia grabbed his good hand and dragged him off, Kim let himself be dragged, wanting to do some crafts too. Come to think of it, he hadn't asked Precious to dance yet at the ball.
She was his date. Did she feel neglected? He'd have to remedy that later on.

"Oh..." Akemi's voice faltered. The growing doubt that Felix had dipped out last minute on her started to kick in. They had just met, and everyone seemed to hate him for some reason only Merlin knows...Gemima's face went all sour when she asked her about him, Hell, the first time she literally met him he was fighting Gem and her date. There was a lot of stuff she didn't know about her tall, self-absorbed date. Well, except that he was tall and self-absorbed.
But she couldn't worry about him right now. She had a new friend to make, and new friends were a priority. So were flower crowns.
"It's alright!" She put on a fake smile "I bet he went off to some event, or he's late himself." Alright. Now that that was out of the way...
Akemi turned to Sage and grinned. "My name's Akemi. Akemi Yamamoto. Sage is a really cool name! Oh, and you look lovely. Nice flower crown." Sage did look quite lovely, and she wanted to have a good first impression. As one always does when wanting to make a new friend.
Akemi turned back to Gemima. "Yeah, flower crowns sound fun." It also would be a good distraction from Felix. It would probably calm her down to a level where she wouldn't slap him into next week if he actually... when he showed up. Also, flower crowns were fun to make; Akemi used to make them with her muggle friends back in Manchester. They brought back good memories, which was something else she really needed.
"Alright then! Where are those flower crowns?"
