Welcome Feast at Castelobruxo launched!
The welcome feast for the upcoming Capture the Flag event at Castelobruxo has been launched! Come and enjoy food, roleplay with your friends (or meet new ones), and enjoy a fire-dancig performance in Feast and Fire.
Keep an eye out for additional events and activities that will be released as we get closer to the start of Capture the Flag.
Sign-ups for both Malocas and Capture the Flag remain open for another one and two weeks respectively, as scheduled. Posting in the welcome feast thread is not required to participate in the games.

A Brief Reminder: Multi-Accounting is Against Community Policy
The online RP community has a long history of this kind of deception, and it negatively effects the experience of players. When someone creates multiple accounts and presents them as different people, the harm goes far beyond "cheating in a forum game." Yes, it can create unfair mechanical advantages, but in our experience that is rarely the primary motivation.
Sometimes people do it to bypass systems they dislike, such as wanting to be in a different house or gain access to content they otherwise could not. More often, however, it is about creating additional perspectives. They become their own biggest supporter, reinforcing their own stories and validating their own claims. They can play different roles in the same social circle, befriend the same people from multiple angles, or manufacture consensus where none exists. Some enjoy the sense of control or secrecy. Others enjoy manipulating narratives or relationships. Whatever the motivation, the result is the same: it undermines trust and damages the community.
There are also practical consequences. Members who follow the rules are placed at a disadvantage. Multiple accounts may receive additional in-game resources, gain access to opportunities unavailable to others, or exploit mechanics by effectively collaborating with themselves.
But the deepest harm is personal. People who thought they had made two friends discover they may have been speaking to only one person all along. Conversations they believed were genuine become suspect. Memories that felt meaningful are suddenly overshadowed by doubt. Even if the fictional identities were fabricated, the emotions and experiences of the people who interacted with them were real. These people leave the situation feeling hurt, embarrassed, or betrayed.
Please do not make multiple accounts, eventually you will be caught, people will learn of your duplicity and they will be harmed by your selfish choices.

Adult System Reminder: Current Adults & Upcoming Graduates
As graduation approaches, we wanted to post a quick reminder about how the Adult System works and what you should be doing to keep your character progressing.
Graduating Students
Once your character graduates from Hogwarts, they can apply for an adult profession during the annual application period. Entry-level careers cover a huge range of paths, from Ministry work and healing to athletics, research, entertainment, crafting, and more. Some careers require specific OWLs or NEWTs, while others have no examination prerequisites at all.
Remember to check your intended career path ahead of time so you know whether you need particular exams before graduating.
Existing Adult Characters
If you wish to advance to the next tier of your profession, you'll need to complete three job-related roleplay threads over the course of the year before the next advancement period. These can be:
- Three solo threads (approximately 2,000 words each), or
- Three collaborative threads where you make at least five posts meeting the site's minimum word count.
The roleplays should meaningfully involve your profession, for example: serving customers as a shopkeeper, conducting research as a scientist, or treating patients as a healer.
If you're happy where you are, you are not required to advance. You may remain in your current profession and continue roleplaying it without seeking promotion.
Adult Advancement
Each year, adult characters may choose one advancement option:
Be sure to keep your Adult Advancement Log in your trunk up to date to reflect whichever option you choose.
- Gain +5 stat points,
- Redistribute 5 existing stat points, or
- Trade 5 end-game stat capacity for an additional ability.
New Student Character
Because most site events continue to center around Hogwarts, graduating players are encouraged to create a new student character while continuing to write their adult as a bonus character. This lets you experience new school stories while carrying forward the legacy of your graduate.
If you have questions about prerequisites, job paths, OWLs/NEWTs, or advancement requirements, feel free to ask before applications open. Planning ahead now will make your transition into adulthood much smoother.

Forum Reorganizing
In an effort to make the forum easier to navigate especially for new members, you may notice a few organizational changes around the site:
- Announcements have been moved to the top of the forum for greater visibility.
- Out-of-character information has been moved higher in the navigation for easier access.
- Setting information has been consolidated under Index to keep world-building resources in one place.
- Several forum sections have been streamlined to reduce unnecessary scrolling and improve navigation.
- Redundant forum areas have been removed.
- Fixed an issue where some forum links directed users to unintended areas.
- Goblins: your stipend can now be found in Gringotts.
- There were also a few admin-only areas where the bean could be found that have been removed from the rotation on where the bean could be found.
- Out-of-character information has been moved higher in the navigation for easier access.
- Setting information has been consolidated under Index to keep world-building resources in one place.
- Several forum sections have been streamlined to reduce unnecessary scrolling and improve navigation.
- Redundant forum areas have been removed.
- Fixed an issue where some forum links directed users to unintended areas.

New Ravenclaw Prefect
Please welcome @Aislin Darragh, also known as Bridget Collins, to the staff team, in replacement of prefect @Elena Clark. Aislin has been a duelling captain for quite some time now, and they have also been part of the community since 2019. We have been impressed by their work with duelling and look forward to seeing what they will do on staff!

The Wild Awaits & New Castelobruxo Errand: Fluffy Encounters
On the leisure day of the Capture the Flag event, visitors can spend the morning helping feed the residence llamas, alpacas, and guinea pigs under the supervision of Castelobruxo student Naiane Tomari. Sign up for the Fluffy Encounters errand for a chance to pet these cute animals.
In the afternoon, students who want to explore further can use the sky routes to travel to the nearby village or other destinations. Discover more of the Amazonas in The Wild Awaits.
PS. Sign-ups for Capture the Flag is open for another 4 days. Posting in either of these threads is not required to participate in the games.

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, adoptive fathers, guardians, mentors, and father figures who have made a positive impact in the lives of others.
For many, Father's Day is an opportunity to celebrate cherished memories and express gratitude. For others, it may be a day of reflection, loss, or complicated emotions. We recognize that every person's experience is different and hope that today brings you whatever you need most, whether that is joy, peace, remembrance, or simply a quiet moment to yourself.
To all the dads and father figures in our community: thank you for the time, guidance, patience, and care you invest in those around you. Your influence often extends far beyond what you realize.

Rumor Spreading and Honesty
It has come to my attention that some members either have an allergy to the truth or an unusual desire to waste everyone else's time with fabricated drama. This is a final reminder before disciplinary action is taken: stop.
If someone genuinely hacks your account, the person responsible will be banned. If you falsely claim that your account was hacked, you should expect the same outcome. Making up stories to attract attention or avoid responsibility wastes staff time and undermines trust within the community.
Likewise, please do not misrepresent yourself. If you tell people you are a famous singer, a medical professional, a lawyer, or otherwise hold yourself out as something you are not in order to lend credibility to your statements or impress others, do not be surprised if those claims are scrutinized.
To be clear, we do not expect anyone to reveal their real-life identity or personal information. You are under no obligation to share your real name, location, occupation, or other private details. In fact, protecting your privacy online is encouraged.
What we do expect is honesty about the information you choose to share. If you are not comfortable answering a question, simply decline to answer or keep it private. Inventing stories, personas, or life events is misleading to other members and disruptive to the community.
If this behavior continues, bans will follow.

Have you ever felt frustrated there is so little information known about Hogwarts's Greenhouses? Did you ever wish there was a more detailed description of each Greenhouse, as well as more explanations about their differences?
Well, it is your lucky day!
I hereby present the brand new and shiny Herbology Greenhouses. They are now sorted depending on climate, with the exception of the Seventh Greenhouse, which basically serves as a bunker for all evil, evil plants. And.... oh my, is that an eight Greenhouse? Surprise!
