Marius accepted Annie's invitation to dance and helped her heading to the dance floor. The boy was not much of a dancer, but he did not hate it, either. Perhaps one could say he did not mind it much.
Annie started to move, and to his surprise, the fourth year was actually quite a good dancer. Well, at least he thought so, considering that she could not see anyone on the dance floor. She did not even step on his toes. It did feel rather awkward to have her arms around his neck albeit casually, perhaps because of the difference of their body heights. She must be around 1.6 metres, he approximately 1.4.
And as they danced, the senior badger told him her sad story. At the end of it, there was nothing he could say except "I'm sorry to hear that", and he truly was. For Marius, the most tragic part was that her dad being prejudiced simply because of his blood status. Born as a biracial child among loving family and relatives had helped the first year in accepting people no matter what their background was (why, they could not even choose it), and he still could not - did not - understand why others refused to do the same.
His concentration was broken when a kid nearby tripped and fell onto the floor face-flat. Abruptly he stopped dancing, and told Annie, "There's someone falling down face first and no one is helping. What do you think if we help her?" Poor kid. But this may be a blessing in disguise... at least for Annie now that she has something to distract her from the sad memory.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Eun-ji's comment made his eyes shift a little. It wasn't the fault of the adults, not that she'd know this. But Kim decided to let her think whatever she wanted to. As the boy and Lucia approached them, Kim let his eyes flicker over both, after giving his customary greeting to them. They addressed Eun-ji first and then turned their attention to him. He nodded when Eun-ji introduced her cousin to him and inclined his head towards the other male. "Please, call me Kim." Kim told him, not liking when his last name was brought up too often. Evelynn already called him just by his last name, which always made him rather nervous when he was around others. Hopefully, Ye-jun wouldn't copy what the prefect had done to him. It was only when Eun-ji introduced Lucia to him that Kim realized he had met Lucia before. Well, briefly at any rate. Kim was part of Lucia's club at Hogwarts. The Bookworms Club. Although the girl had been rather busy during the first meeting, so he hadn't gotten to talk to her much. "We know eachother from the Bookworms Club actually. Right, Lucia?" Kim asked with a faint twitch of his lips. "It's nice to see you in a setting like this though, you look good." He told Lucia with a nod. Kim didn't think he'd ever seen her in a dress until right now. But then, dresses were usually for balls. "Did you have a good time at the ball?" Kim asked, curious. What had other students thought of the ball? "So, you're Eun-ji's cousin?" Kim said as he let his blue eyes flicker over the boy before him. "How do you like Beauxbatons?" He asked. After all, the foreign schools were so different from Hogwarts. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Annie was surprised when the silence after her story held in the air for longer. Had he been re-playing what she told him. It wasn't like her to tell a person, barely more than a stranger her story. Perhaps she was just filling the time or maybe it was because she felt comfortable in his presence. His voice pulled her back from her thoughts as he apologized for the event. The brunette simply shook her head.
"What happened, happened. At least I'm not running into walls or having to awkwardly ask for directions anymore. After it first happened the idea of coming back to school was terrifying. But it would've been a shame because I would've missed out on all the opportunities to meet new friends like you." A small smile slipped onto her face.
The dancing would come to a halt as Marius unlocked his hands from their position around her. Tilting her head she'd then be informed of someone falling over. She blinked, slightly confused but nodded.
"Don't just ask me if we should help her, just go do it. I don't even know where the girl is." Annie exclaimed, half laughing at his concern and cluelessness. The air in the room didn't feel so heavy no and she'd follow in Marius' tracks as they went to help the girl.
"Say after this, the night is still young let's go chill in the Common Room I want to get out of this dress as soon as possible and into some pjs." The brunette half whispered while rolling her eyes sarcastically.
But hey at least nothing bad happened this time around? Balls were notorious for commotion and panic amongst the party-goers but heck, it was a peaceful night for her and she even made a friend. Kind of?

Roleplaying as Lee Ye-jun from Beauxbatons – Encyclopedia
Violet in English, Red in Korean and Blue in French“Well, it’s nice to meet you Kim.” Ye-jun offered his hand for a confident handshake. He still wasn’t quite sure what to make of the boy. He had nothing against him personally but he was somewhat apprehensive about the whole Charles situation. He knew the Ilvermorny student didn’t ask for the engagement either and yet…from what he heard, he didn’t seem all that bothered by it anymore. They did make a pact upon their first meeting however based on what Eun-ji said, he probably grew quite fond of her by now. Only the girl herself didn’t realize it. She was pretty oblivious to these things. Either way he couldn’t be sure of anything just yet. Perhaps once they actually met, he could better assess the situation but for now, it was one big unknown and Kim was a direct link to it. He did think about asking the Gryffindor but not knowing if his cousin told Lucia as well, he decided to avoid the topic for now.
By the time his usual overthinking and groundless suspicions came to an end, he was already being addressed by the youngest student again. Apparently done with Lucia, Kim turned to exchange some pleasantries with him as well. “Oh…it’s fine I suppose. I do enjoy fashion and that aspect is very present there but I miss some other things like muggle sports and such.” He paused looking at his cousin for a brief moment. “I honestly think Eun-ji would fit in much better than me.” She could continue her ballet classes during the school year and just be her usual artsy self in general. Also, very far from her garbage relatives. That would help a lot.

【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】Kim had been over there for a little while now, and Gemima was starting to feel anxious again.
She had tried to keep herself occupied, by watching the many couples on the dance floor, admiring their dazzling outfits. It was a beautiful sea of silks, flowers, and flowy gowns, and it made her feel even more like a fairy tale princess. The night had been nothing short of eventful, with the effigy, the Goblet of Fire... Why, there had even been a couple fights here and there.
But even with all things to do and see here, her gaze kept wandering over to Kim.
He was talking with an elegant, yet unfamiliar Ravenclaw girl, and an equally elegant Beauxbatons boy. The three of them looked the very picture of the popular kids she'd seen in muggle movies.
All of a sudden, she felt quite plain and somewhat insignificant, even in her goregeous dress. If those were the sorts of people Kim knew, then what was he doing with someone like her?
Gem let her gaze linger on Kim again.
I wonder what they could be talking about..?
Then their eyes met-- deep brown to icy blue. Her breath hitched in her throat, and her heart skipped a beat in her chest. She hurriedly looked away...【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | It was around this time that Kim felt a gaze on him. Instinctively he looked around and spotted the source, the girl he'd brought to the ball as his date. Right. He'd gone off to get her a cold drink to make her feel better, what was he doing chatting leisurely with Eun-ji and her cousin? "Excuse me, my date is wondering what I'm doing since I've been gone for so long now. It was true and he knew he should be giving all his attention to Precious. "Zàijiàn!" Kim said, lapsing into his trademark Mandarin farewell to them. He excused himself from the two, grabbed a cold and refreshing drink from the table, and then returned to Precious's side. "Sorry about that, I met up with someone I knew before." "And then they wanted to introduce me to their cousin." Kim told Precious and handed her the drink. Once she'd refreshed herself, the boy would close the short distance between them and capture the girl in his arms. Typical dance style manner. Pulling her close to him, Kim started to dance with Precious. It was a rather nice song, a slow romantic style one. And feelings were bound to flourish out there on the dance floor. There would probably be many who would feel their hearts flutter tonight as they danced. Kim twirled Precious around and kept on dancing. The two were actually doing quite well when it came to dancing to the tune of the song playing right now. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】To Gemima's relief, Kim bade good bye to his friends and sauntered back over to her.
"Oh, no you're fine," she said, accepting the drink he pushed into her hands. "I was just people watching..." She trailed off and sipped at the beverage as he spoke. It was cool and bubbly, with a pleasant, sweet floral taste. As she finished the glass and set it aside, she could feel the frenzied thoughts in her head slowly calming.
Suddenly, the boy took her into his arms and guided them both onto the dancefloor.
Gem's heart leapt into her throat, and her face felt like it was on fire. She went silent, eyes darting to and fro, looking anywhere but into those clear blue eyes.
The two settled into a slow, waltz-like dance. Gemima's fingers shook, and all she could hear was the sound of her own breathing.
But oh, Kim held her so gently. She stepped on his feet a few times, but he was nothing but patient, just like a true gentleman should be. He raised his arm to twirl her around, and she finally met his gaze again. He stared straight into her own wide, brown eyes, his fingers twisting around hers, and she felt the wild thundering of her heart settle into the tranquil flutter of a butterfly's wings.
Then they were dancing again. Gem bit her lip and followed his lead.
It was getting easier now, and she let herself get lost in the steady rhythm of it all.
One, two, three, one, two, three.
She felt as if she were floating, and she found herself laughing softly as she spun and twirled with Kim. She even found the courage to add a few of her own moves into the mix, and for the first time since arriving at the ball, she felt at peace.
But just as everything seemed to be falling into place, her foot caught on the hem of that goddamned gown, and she pitched forward into Kim's chest. A wave of dread crashed over her, and she just stayed there, too embarrassed to move...【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | As they danced, Kim took the time to look into Precious's eyes. They were a lovely shade of brown and he had to admit they looked very pretty. She was silent but that was normal. When dancing, people didn't tend to talk and usually focused on dancing to make sure they didn't end up tripping over their own feet in the process. So the silence wasn't awkward and their time together should have felt relatively normal, at least that was what should have happened between them. As it was, Precious seemed a little nervous at first, which in turn made Kim start to feel the same way. Not because of their close proximity to eachother but because of how she was acting. Could he have done something wrong? Or did she not like the current song playing? He moistened his lips with his tongue and was about to speak when suddenly Precious seemed as if she'd let go of her nerves. Now, they danced beautifully together, and Kim smiled at her, giving a rare genuine smile for once. Whether or not she saw this remained to be seen. Things were going well, until Precious tripped and fell into his chest, her face coming into contact with his body in the process. This wouldn't have been too bad if she'd instantly picked herself up again and pretended it had never happened. Many people resorted to this very popular technique. So they could save face. Or they simply laughed it off as being too clumsy or something along those particular lines. But Precious. She didn't do either one of those techniques and remained with her face plastered against his chest. Kim started to feel a bit embarrassed by her actions. He glanced around to make sure no one was staring at them and then let his eyes flicker down onto the head of dark hair below. Reaching out, Kim placed a hand on top of Precious's head and stroked her hair a few times. "...You gonna live there from now on?" He asked with a faint smirk. "I mean, I don't mind much, but I think your neck is probably going to get sore after awhile." Kim teased her, stroking her hair a few more times, and then let a finger go beneath Precious's chin and tipped her head upward until she was looking up at him again. "There you go. Show me those pretty eyes of yours." He murmured, not realizing that it would appear to most people, probably even Precious herself, that he was flirting with his date. To Kim, he was just being nice and considerate towards his date to the ball. And his intention was to make her feel better about herself, as she'd probably been a bit embarrassed by her clumsiness. "Are you ready?" After this dance, they should probably go reunite with the others again. But Kim wanted to make sure Precious had the time of her life at the ball and didn't feel neglected at all. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Kim's chest was surprisingly soft. Gemima felt the vibrations beneath his skin as he teased her and his scent permeated her senses-- wait, was that his hand on her head??
Someone's heart was beating stupidly fast, but she wasn't sure if it was hers or his.
Just as she was about to force herself away from Kim, his hand moved from her hair to her chin, and then she was staring into those dazzling blue eyes again.
"There you go," he crooned. "Show me those pretty eyes of yours."
Her eyes were pretty?
Gem almost scoffed. Look who's talking, mate. But she only nodded slowly.
"S-sorry about all that. Thank you." She'd always thought her eyes were boring and plain, but if he though they were pretty...
Gemima cleared her throat and joined their fingers together once more. Soon, they fell into that familiar rhythm, and she desperately tried to quell the burning in her cheeks.
This boy really was something else. She wasn't certain if he was just extremely smooth or extremely oblivious to his titillating actions. Did he-- like her? Hell, did she like him? It had been ages since she'd had a crush on someone, so long that she'd quite forgotten what it felt like; and forgotten how to deal with such confusing feelings.
Gemima bit her lip and sucked in a deep breath, forcing the thoughts out of her head. Now wasn't the time for that. Even if she had made a giant fool of herself, the dancing was very nice. (How would she even bring something like that up?) She managed to smile up at Kim, and focused on the music, letting it carry her away for a second time.
The song was over all too soon, and the other couples on the floor parted as a more upbeat tune began to play.
Gem gingerly let go of Kim and wound her hands in the tulle of her skirt. "Thank you for that," she murmured. "I really did enjoy it. But, uh, should we go look for the others?"
Now that the music and dance had stopped, those perplexing feelings had made their way back to the forefront of her mind, and she was eager for a change of scenery.【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Precious responded to his words. Well, it seemed as if she was doing alright, that was all that mattered. Kim let a faint smile come to his lips. "I'm glad you're doing better now." He told her as Precious smiled up at him and the two of them continued to dance. Once the song was over, the girl mentioned the others and asked if they should go look for them and Kim nodded. "That's probably a good idea. We don't want to leave them on their own, right?" He said and the two of them headed off to find their friends. However, it appeared as if Sophia had already left the ball and Sage seemed to have followed, which left Kim and Gem. But after the dance, they were both a little awkward being alone. So, they ended up deciding to leave too. All in all, it had been a pretty eventful ball, an interesting one to say the least. Kim's first ball would always remain in his memory, especially considering what had happened between him and Stalker. Hunter. Rabbit. Right, he'd be calling him Rabbit from now on. Rabbits were cute and pretty and adorable. Even though that didn't really describe Felix... it kind of did, it was hard to put his thoughts into words. Kim shook his head, trying not to think too much about Rabbit right now. Well, tomorrow would be the start of a new day and he was curious to see what people would be talking about directly after the ball. Could anything fun have happened that he'd been unaware of while there? It wasn't as if Kim could be everywhere and know everything. But gossip was sure to spread. The only question was what would the gossip be about? ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────
