Upon the contact with his acquaintances, Miss Decipio and Co., he was lead towards the punchbowls and other assorted refreshments, brow still slightly furrowed as his headache grew. He was interested in speaking to the girl since their previous engagements had been that of, well, that didn't matter- but as the night continued on, he found himself less disposed to wanting to stay any longer than he had already somehow managed to stay.

He'd deliberated on what next to say, as they moved across the pitch, should he mention the letter? Or apologise? He'd covered a lot of what he wished to say in his reply to the girl, but then again, some things were better communicated in person- but what would he even communicate? 'Hey, sorry again, for that kiss.' sounded like a rather awful way to start his first real conversation with the girl.

Before he had time to decide, however, a great flicker began to cover the pitch, candles one by one shuddering to halting darkness, which caused the boy a great deal of stress, the back of his neck prickling with a sudden cold, indescribable feeling. The grip which landed against the tips of his fingers against the smooth surface of his broom tightened, and he instinctively reached out in the direction of Miss Decipio, regaining his sense of space. "Oh dear." He managed to exhale, pursing his lips as the feint buzzing perked his ears.

This didn't seem very right at all if he was completely honest.

"Are you alright, Miss Decipio?" He then asked, partially for the co-captain, and partially for her friend whom he'd yet to be acquainted with. The question in it of itself was redundant, but of genuine concern as his eyes strained to see anything beyond the stars in the skies.

He'd heard how these functions tended to go, from a past friend of his, but he'd never expected to suddenly be caught in the dark.
With a pursing of his lips, and a familiar shrike of heat which ran its course through his synapses, there wasn't any question he was rather intrigued by the noise which had accompanied the darkness, playing as if only in the back of their minds, but still present. With a brief patting of his pockets, checking for his wand which rested safely against the fabric of his riding pants, he swiftly mounted his broom and squared to take off.

Even if he could not see, he could hear, and that was plenty enough for him.
He turned to the direction he assumed Miss Decipio and her friend were still standing as if they had any more luck seeing than him, and inhaled. "I'm going to find that noise." He started. "It obvious something's gone awry, I can't overlook the sound."

While he wasn't nearly equipped to handle a party, chasing after the unknown source of a mysterious sound, on his broom no less, was far more his speed-- given he'd already planned to go flying tonight anyways. As ominous as the situation had suddenly gotten, there was a taste for adventure on the tip of his tongue. "My mind's made up, you said you wanted to fly the Silver Arrow again, right?" In the darkness, he was sure she could feel the smirk on his face.

Losing the light had almost salvaged the picture that remained stiff before Persephone, like a still image of a video streaming in poor quality, mercifully allowing the screen to go black and the viewer to catch their breath trying to follow along. The issue with a darkened spectacle was the reflection it left in remnants, the fractured sounds and their choppy playback forming a mental image that mirrored more pandemonium than before. It left the girl unaware, defenseless against the consumption. She needed spells, but that was a road of self-neglect it was not the time to travel, instead crouching in the shadow and waiting for those viridescent eyes to adjust, a transformation that wouldn’t take but a few seconds. Persy had become accustomed to living in the lack of color.

A few voices would flood into the untouched, recognizable ones that brought no ease with their presence. Those voices, both urgent and relaxed alike, would barely echo over the deafening sound of silence, talking and rambling but nothing truly being said. Persy would reflect on the few moments before the dark began to rise, only current light source being the speckled stars that no longer hid, a deep glower impressed into her pale face that may be masked through the thick gloom. Scattered through the scene, punches had been thrown, both by people she recognized and a few that fell in step with the marching band of simplicity. Spells soared about, one casted by that certain brunet [Ruka] that her gaze had lingered on before, fractions of a cold blueprint spiraling in her mind, desperate to create a discernible iceberg. The boy who tugged on her strings had been casted into a commotion of his own, one that didn’t hook anything but her peripheral vision before the lights died away.

Something about her crowd, the wandering outliers that weren’t aware they were occasionally referred to as such, attracted chaos. Perhaps the magnetization originated more in the buried roots of the castle, the grounds they walk along now, terrorized. It was the universe’s vengeance for tainting its soil. Of course, the blonde didn’t indulge in such dehumanizing beliefs, but there was no need to further ponder. Still, it felt as though agony and bedlam hovered above her anomalies in a grim cloud, lightning striking when least and yet most appropriate.

Ears twitching, a dull buzz would pull her from this dazed state, eyes finally familiar with the deficiency of light, silhouettes evident in the mob but understandingly distorted. Persy’s gaze floated up, rising to the shimmering surface of the water where everything remained warped, searching for the derivation of the quiet hum. It wasn’t distinctive, not tied to the noise of the midnight lurkers, not natural from the growth of the trees. If it had been present the entirety of the ever-upward evening, she was sure it had been overlooked by the rest of the majority as well. Perhaps they didn’t question it, though the blonde deemed this foolish. Fear did not plague her now, nor would it ever, but the curious case of the cloudy drone would have to take the backseat when a familiar peer approached her.

Not yet able to properly observe his visage that was disguised by a fitting shade of dusk, a sudden scratch against Persephone’s ankle would jolt her back to cognizance. Matches, a measly thirteen left out of the fifty the small box initially carried, remained there, but disturbed her as if the wood wailed to be diminished by its flame. Igniting one now, allowing that heat to melt the pain away from her fingers, would expectedly be a waste of the valuable resource. Quickly, the girl’s glare ran across the horizon of the scene, squinting and searching for a longer-lasting object to bring that blaze to. With a slight frown, as though in dissatisfaction of postponing the beginning of the party, she decided they would remain in that snake-skin boot for fleeting, pleasurable moments. Staring blankly, she hoped they would be wasted well.

Flash had been kept waiting for a few brief seconds; Persy still crouched slightly before rapidly rising to full height, suddenly feeling like that change was too insignificant. Although her competitor's peculiarly timed request would greet her with bewilderment, the blonde had no choice but to oblige, straining to see the light at the far end of the narrow tunnel. If nothing else, Flash would provide beautiful cover, a human shield, if you will. Blending in was a crow’s most important skill, said by a man she was pained to admire, in a twisted way, merging with that twisted perception she wore. But the question remained: what exactly was the fellow snake looking for here?

“Assistance?” The blonde would echo in question, a slight smirk of satisfaction falling upon that already smug face. Regardless of the pleasure it gave her to feel useful—or be seen as such—Persephone wouldn’t press the request further, instead following him silently while locking her gaze once again on the shape she’d believed was the survivor, still unable to discern his actions.

Oh! She’d nearly forgotten! His gift was somewh—

Evelynn. The tension in her chest resembled that of confronting an old foe, though their history was short and that was generous. Persephone believed, at least up until this very darkened moment, that Flash was acutely aware of the tug on their relationship, a tight rope that was yanked in both directions with equal strength. Now, the opposite seemed to ring like an incessant church bell, the brunet surely not ignorant enough to introduce the two in confidence. Sure, the boiling liquid had brought the scarlet in the red-head’s heart to the surface, the defining interaction, but those words echoed in her mind. (Did they just hate you?) The serpent around the blonde’s pale neck would suddenly feel like a means of suffocation, yet her voice remained full, yet low.

“Ah, Evelynn, your skin look significantly improved.” Wild guess in the deepest part of the night, but yet, not really. Months had passed, and with magic at the girl’s disposal, the quick healing was a given. Perhaps no scars would even remain, a trait that brought about unwarranted envy.

Tired of the gazing at silhouettes that could only be assumed to be her anomalies, the brief light of a wasted match began to seem ideal. Turning away, as if to possibly conceal the location of this resource, Persy’s hands moved efficiently to grab the matchbox, strike the first one of the evening, and stuff it away securely. Looking back at the assembled army, the flickering flame would light her face, assured, maybe mistakenly, in its ability to glow for a short while.

Perhaps the vines of conversation and alliance had ensnared her for now, but the gift would be given.

Erin went for Thomas, she expected the smug expression and the cruel remark. Neither set her off, she was intent on wrecking the fool before she even stepped onto the dance floor. This moment was months, no well over a year in the making. Since the very first time they met. Even before that. Thomas knew the rumors that surrounded the girl, the girl around whom everyone disappeared. The girl that on their first meeting brought up his muggle mother, a woman he had a senseless dedication to because he harbored her genetic material and he occupied her uterus for a term. Yet he was a fool for not admitting it to himself, the truth that he was forced to bear the burden of legacy. That he carried the LeStrange name not as a proud pure-blood, but as something less. He could lie to himself and lie to others and claim that it did not matter but he was only fooling himself.

Erin would try to take Thomas down. Erin was incredibly fast and strong, her legs snapped up and she went right for the throat without hesitation. The brazen attack should have taken LeStrange by surprise but he would duck under her legs and they would sail over his head. Erin would spin about, her unexpected trajectory compensated for mid-flight. It was not that she was a brilliant tactician, it was merely an act of instinct. She would hit the ground hard but on her feet in a crouched position.

She was not about to back down from what would be their final altercation. "You're less of a dotard than I thought," she expected him to go down like a chump. "No matter," she concluded. "I will remember your protracted suffering fondly," she took no pleasure in his suffering now. She was not capable of relishing it. Nor was she able to derive frustration from this embarrassing miss. there was this relative indifference to the entire encounter that was not being fueled by wrath but rather by the intimate understanding and memory of what she felt minutes earlier. Something the seared into her memory as was a plethora of other emotions that were knotted so tightly she had no hope to untangle.

She would rise to her feet and she would charge at Thomas a second time. As she did so, Jack would step between them. With a leaping bound she would attempt to bypass Jack, despite his betrayal he was not her target. While in the present she was not capable of feeling anything, her sentiments towards Jack were illogical. There was an impulse to hurt him, but there was this sadness that gripped her. It was a foolish, sentimental state. One where she wanted to believe that there was a thread of truth despite logic dictating otherwise. That there was something. A foolish notion she knew well and as Thomas so bluntly pointed out -- nobody cares about her.

It was a logical decision to not paint Jack red on the bantam chance that the impossible was merely improbable and ultimately true. Had she allowed her heart, bloody and raw, choose for her how to act next. It would not have been Thomas that was the focus of her ire but rather Jack for his trespasses against her.

"I don't want to hurt you Fox," that was what he called himself she recalled. He hated names. He hated attachments. Saying it, she would have felt detached could she feel. While true, she only understood what she should feel, there was nothing there except a nearly abstract concept of detachment. It should have hurt her to use the name, to admit and to conform, but she did not care. She only knew she should.

Oliver was safeguarding her heart, ensuring Fox's continued survival purely by the virtue that there was nothing that compelled her to harm him. There was a laundry list of reasons however why this altercation between herself and Thomas needed to happen. She would rush Thomas and attempt to dart to the side of Jack and she attempted to run him down.

Yes, Jack is the woman

As she attempted to do so, hoping to avoid a terrible alternative fate everything would go black. Perhaps her bare foot stomped on a face, perhaps that face was not even Thomas'. However when everything turned black she stopped moving. She was not afraid of the dark (fearless) but it was a change. The girl was paranoid. This was the same girl that thought part giants were reaping children from her class and consuming them. That there were death witches among the students and staff. That there were more than a few nefarious men and women that were in on it, most of them authority figures.

Her first presumption -- someone was going to die. She could hear a voice, it belonged to Jack. If jack was on the ground she would seek hims voice. If she was on the ground because Tom-Tom got a lucky shot in, she would seek Jack out regardless. (OC I know that we are likely not going to stop fighting.) If she was grappling the Slytherin, she would continue to do so of course. Ultimately her reply to him would be the same regardless of her position. "J-Fox, where are you?" If she was physically capable (depends on what Thomas does and if it succeeds) she would blindly reach out for him (non action, wont do if counted as an action) and try to grab his hand (or if the mods are particularly cruel, potentially another person's hand).

Sorry for the wait :')

Smiling, Mildred thought that the conversion was rather flowing quite nicely, it could have gone worst... for example, there could have been no food, well all balls are supposed to have food. There could have been less... promising food, she thought as she happily ate some french fries. Of course, she would forget the whole yoohoo choice, as people make mistakes. "London? That's so cool!!" The mere thought of someplace other than her home town excited her. "Each person has their own limits regarding the weather I suppose, there's nothing wrong with being sensitive to the cold!" it was times like this that Mildred was glad she grew up in such a cold place, although the downsides of her hometown often made her wish she grew up someplace else, maybe someplace more exciting and where there weren't so little roads.

It was only reasonable her own question would soon enough be thrown back at her, although she wasn't even sure herself on the whole "why are you here" kind of thing. At first, she had come because she was asked to, then eventually her own excitement for the ball had grown beyond expectations and she had wanted to come not needed to come. "Well... I suppose I'm here-" It was then the lights had died out one by one, soon engulfing the whole pitch in a awful darkness- it didn't help that the faint music had stopped, leaving an awful buzzing sound that annoyed her. "Huh?" Mildred immediately looked around and it was clearly due to the sudden chatter that had erupted that many did not know what was happening.

She could no longer see Crystal, although she did hear her move around. "Please... don't leave me behind."She said faintly. Mildred has never been exactly fond of the dark, as the years passed she would bring Chicken with her when the lights were out however he wasn't here. "No... I sadly have never been the best at flying a broom." She winced, her skill sets were not suited for this. "Nor or I know Lumos" she said panicking, think! she continually repeated in her head, which definitely didn't help her think more clearly. She looked around for anything that could help her see or anyone she knew. "Do you think we should try to move to someplace else?" She said, not exactly feeling the safest at her current location.

Alexis followed the other girl's gaze as she introduced Notresvace, a former prefect. She appeared to be trying to settle a certain situation down, Decipio was right, she has that prefect aura. Alexis listened as Decipio told her about the Spells, Wands and Games club. “I've never heard of that club but it does sound interesting.” The game was indeed sounded like fun, she would gladly participate if she ever get a chance.

Alexis was baffled when she heard the loud noise of fight broke from the dance floor. One would have thought that they would simply behave in such an event. A moment after that there were spells flying around everywhere, as of they were ready to their wands at any given moment.

She returned her gaze to Decipio as the girl abruptly stood up, seemingly lost in thought analysing the situation. Alexis was on verge of pulling the girl out of her head but she spoke up first. Before the girl could get anything out, she was interrupted as a boy called out to her.

She nodded as the boy, Woodward as Decipio called him, acknowledged her presence. Alexis wasn't sure if she was to be offended or not that he didn't bother to introduce himself or address her properly.

She watched as they proceed to have a conversation despite of what just happened. She looked down at the boy's uniform as Decipio pointed it out. Strange.

Decipio suggested that they move themselves elsewhere and she agreed. Alexis grabbed her purse and followed as Decipio lead them towards the refreshments area.

She took advantage of the silent to observe the both of her companion. They definitely got a history. Whatever that was Alexis wasn't sure if she wanted to know.

Alexis didn't flinch as the candles began to went out. She tried to adjust her eyes to the newfound darkness that has covered the quidditch pitch. She turned her head towards Decipio and Woodward. She tilted her head a little when the boy asked if Decipio was alright. Now she was offended. A little more manner would be appreciated. Alexis wanted to say but she bit her tongue. Be nice. Instead she ran her gaze over the pitch again, it was dark but it was worth a try.

Alexis raised her eyebrows as the boy stated that he was going to look for the source of that noise but she stayed silent. She's not sure if that's wise but she must admit that she was curious as well. She opened her purse and grabbed her wand, “Lumos”

“And what do you suggest we do?” She direct her question to her both companion, flickering her eyes between the two of them.

Mentioning others around; Darkness and buzzing.
Locking eyes with the young Scot, Lark tried her best to fight back the blush that was most likely burning across her freckled cheeks still. More commotion from the boys not too far off made the girl's anxiety trickle in once more. Hopefully it was just hormonal drama not.... Hogwarts drama. The latter typically did not end well.

Too late.

"Oh no.." A small gasp escaped Lark's lips as the lights began to fizzle out and darkness swept over the pitch. Others were muttering and buzzing with worry. Wait. No that was just... buzzing? The band was cut short and it seemed so was the evening. This was different than last time.. fire had been the cause for cornern and half-giants that now seemed less of a threat with the Ravenclaw's vision being taken from her.

Lark felt AJ moving and tried to look at him in the dim lighting. She couldn't make out all of his features with how dark the pitch had become but felt his hand reaching for something. The buzzing was still not going away... Holding on tighter to her friend, Lark blinked up at the sky. Of course there had to be no moon go help give some form of light to the students below.

AJ's voice cut through the night. Broom? Did he want her to leave? A memory of last ball set the girl's teeth on edge. She had been useless. Unable to help her date let alone her friends. Not to mention knocked unconscious and woken up a stranger to herself. Before she could protest the boy had called out a charm. Letting go of AJ's arm she felt for her own wand in her dress pocket.

"I'm not leavin' without you." Her tone shifting to a more serious note and voice steady. There wasn't a chance in fiery hot hell she would leave her best friend behind. She had been weak before. Crying and upset at the Masked ball. Pulling her wand from inside the pocket she held it tight in one hand and squinted out into the night around them. They could head back towards the exit where the brooms were but it would be tough to maneuver in the dark... more buzzing interrupted her thoughts. What was this ungodly noise?? Even if they did make it there, what about everyone else? Someone bumped past her (rando npc unless anyone wants to claim that movement) pushing Lark back from her spot next to AJ. A shark spark of panic prickled at the silver haired girl as she swiped her free hand out to try and grab at her date's arm, or at least where she thought it had been.

"A..AJ-" Lark's voice caught in her throat as she tried to quell the bubble of panic growing in her gut making her fingers grip the cherry wand in her right hand even tighter. She could hear more people whispering or calling out in the dark but couldn't make out who was what-what damn buzzing!

River listened to the music playing while watching the students on the dance floor enjoy their evening. Even though River knew how to dance, she had no plans of getting up and dancing at a ball. She only had experience and training in ballet, mostly. Though she didn’t really feel like dancing adagio at a ball or anything.
Katrina didn’t seem to hear what River had said. She just nodded, which wasn't a faulty reaction, but it was quite noticeable that Katrina was not at ease yet either. River assumed another bit of conversation wasn’t needed for the moment, so she sat quietly and kept on watching her surroundings. The floating lights, and the chattering students sitting by the other tables.
River turned to Katrina as she spoke, “Oh yeah, go ahead. I’ll wait here”, she responded with a smile as Katrina got up from her seat and walked over to the refreshments. River really hoped nothing was up with the food and drink this time around. Something told her it would be fine. She kept a light eye on Katrina as she walked over, before the ravenclaw turned to look back over the rest of the pitch. Students were still arriving, and some were exiting. River made sure to keep a good idea of how to get off the field quick in case of an emergency, because you never know what might happen.

Katrina arrived in a moment, and sat down with her carrot. River gave her a quick glance, before her attention was suddenly drawn away by shouting. Someone were casting spells. A part of River truly hoped that this party wouldn’t be ruined because some students decided to turn to violence. Of course, for all she knew, there was a real threat that they were casting at. More spells sounded to be fired off, and she could see some flashes of light.
Until, there would be no light.
The girls eyes shot up as one of the candles suddenly dimmed to darkness. And then another one, and another one. “What in the-”. Her eyes shot from candle to candle as they all dimmed and went out, some leaving a thread of smoke. The bubbles became lightless one by one. And within a moment, there was darkness. And then silence, as the students noticed and the band stopped playing. The only sound that could be heard other than the occasional whisper, was a light buzzing sound, that probably no one had noticed before. But now that quiet had enveloped the pitch, one couldn’t help but notice.

Reacting quickly, River got up from her chair and found her wand placed safely in one of the pockets on her dress. She was so relieved she had actually found a dress with pockets for this ball. “You okay Katrina?”, River asked into the dark, remembering how on-edge she had been so far.
River was curious to know what was making the sound, but there was no way of knowing in this darkness. Looking out into the dark sky sprinkled with stars, River quietly muttered the incantation for the wand-lighting charm, hoping for it to shed some light on whatever was going on. Also hoping it would make for an easier escape if needed, because getting out swiftly would not be easy in the dark of night.

Logan rolled her eyes at Elsian's antics. At this point she was used to her brothers acting like clowns and chose to ignore it whenever someone around her age started to act that way. At least her confidence had risen enough that she was willing to dance with him.

The young Hufflepuff began to push her chair in, attempting to ignore the fact that the other had his hand in hers. A slight blush was evident on her face, but from the slight wind blowing, it could have been from anything at that point. Logan knew he was joking with her, she had sassed him anyway, she deserved it.

A smile was present on her face as he joked around with her. She wasn't used to feeling this comfortable around around someone her own age, but she found it assuring that she was able to make friends her own age.

"I do happen to really like my toes, thank you very much." she sassed as she jokingly flung some hair over her shoulder as if she was spoiled girl. She laughed quietly at the sight of the grin forming on his face and shook her head, hair falling back over her shoulders.

Logan could hear the start of a fight, closer to the dance floor, and turned her head slightly to see the commotion. She stiffened slightly at the sight of many students with their wands out and tightened her hand slightly in Elsian's. Logan had never experiences a Hogwarts party truly before, but she had heard about how most of them ended in disaster. She assumed at that moment that this was going to be no exception.

"Yeah, yeah lets go," Logan muttered as she followed closely behind Elsian, afraid something was going to happen to her if she wandered away.

The young Hufflepuff squeaked when the lights went out and her hand instantly tightened around Elsian's for a second time. "Elsian, what's going on," she muttered as she huddled a little closer to him. Logan was never good when it came to fighting, and the fact that she could really do almost nothing with her wand didn't help the fact at all.

Logan could barely see anything at this point, even with her eyes adjusted to the darkness surrounding them. The young Hufflepuff tried to take a deep breath, at least to calm herself, but it only came out shuttered.

"Yeah, lets stick together," Logan muttered, panic in her voice. She honestly didn't know what was going on. She could hear a faint buzzing noise, but had no idea what it was. "I shouldn't have come to this, I should have listened to myself." The young Hufflepuff stress out as she pulled her pretty much useless wand out of the waistband of her shorts.

This was not how the young Hufflepuff had planned to spend the night. She couldn't see anything except the stars about them and the faint outlines of other students.

As if he was a bug, buzzing around and being a nuisance, this boy in his blue suit refused to leave Calanthe alone. She was prepared to tell him off, but when he settled across from her on the pitch, she decided it would just be better to ignore him. People like this want a reaction, right? So that’s what you’re not going to give him. Silently piling the food in her arms once again, Calanthe ignored any interjections from the boy, including his attempt at making conversation. Had he said more, she would have probably dropped the pile and stormed off, but a scuffle drew her attention.

Two fistfights erupted at the same time, leaving two poor boys cursed, puking up slugs. One of them had made his way out of the pitch though, and Calanthe almost felt her heart pang while thinking about the two of them nursing their new affliction. Before the witch could notice anything else, the lights dimmed. And then they blew out. Engulfed in total darkness, Calanthe’s first instinct was to crawl across the food pile and hide behind the blue mosquito’s larger frame.

But what’s a bit of darkness? Is it time for the fireworks?

Reassuring herself that this was just part of the plan – or the professors’ way of announcing themselves – Calanthe calmed down. Then the buzzing came. Her head swiveled towards the figure of the boy in blue. It was like her thoughts had manifested and his words had in fact started to sound like a mosquito.

But the wizarding world has always been weird. Is this some sort of lead up to the fireworks?

It was unlikely, so Calanthe reached back for her wand. Her meeting with @Klaus Sohn had given her a forceful reminder to take her wand everywhere. Gripping the thing, she dropped the pile of food and picked herself off the floor. What was that lighting charm again? Luminous? Luna? Lu-loquacious? No, definitely not. Maybe I should start paying attention in class. She had no practice with the spell and as such, decided against attempting to cast it, leaving the wand in its position on her body.

“Hey, mosquito,” she called over to the boy in blue, just barely making out his face in the darkness, “Can you cast that light-up charm? The one that makes your wand go bright?”. Calanthe was sure that this darkness was nothing to be afraid of, but having a bit of light couldn’t hurt.

The shrill sound of a bird rang through the air and the girl could not tell if it were a real bird or a signal of some sort. Perhaps one to set off the fireworks? Following the bird’s cry, another voice rang out from above the pitch. Calanthe peered up to see a black silhouette hovering in front of a dark blue sky. She noticed this figure before, but assumed them to be part of security or a system to alert the partygoers to approaching authority. Maybe they had the right idea. Bringing her chin back down, her eyes took their time to focus on the blue boy.

“Or can you fly? With a broom?”

Secret Blossom Ball Event Finished
Interacting with @Isadora Ramone and mentions @Evelynn Decipio
Just as he mentioned the possibility of trouble happening at the ball that very thing happened. It was started by a boy tackling another, shouting "This is for Potter" at the top of his lungs before hitting his target flush. Percy slowly shook his head and brought a hand up to his face in disappointment "Speak of the devil and you shall receive..." muttered the boy as he continued to witness the brawl happening on the dance floor. His gaze would soon fall on another student, someone of which decided to opt out of the fight and watch instead. It was the girl he was so annoyed about.

She seemed to have finished her tour of the ball and found a group to convene with, something that almost surprised him due to the snappy attitude she had. Never the less, he had unfinished business to deal with "Excuse me, I need to go have a word with someone while this embarrassment of a scene continuous. Until next time." Percy nodded over to the girl before starting to make his way over to the girl in question.

He carefully made his way through the dormant crowd as they watched their afternoon entertainment, uninterested in the barbaric event happening beside him. Student behaviour like this didn't belong in Hogwarts, or anywhere in that case. His guess was the muggle borns and half bloods were the ones to blame for this embarrassing event, considering they always had savage tendencies.

Eventually, he reached the end of the drinks table and saw the girl not to far in front of him. Percy kept an eye on her as he reached into his pocket, trying to retrieve his present from within his coat pocket. Although, his plan would soon be sidelined as the ball suddenly plunged into darkness. The candles had somehow been distinguished by an unknown cause, making some of the students panic and gasp in horror. It was clear that something wasn't right as Percy calmly breathed and scanned his surroundings, looking for anything out of place. Faintly, he could hear a buzzing noise come from outside the grounds, an unnatural one if you ever heard it. Percy's words were starting to become one of fact as it became increasingly similar to the previous balls before, one of pure chaos.

All he had to do for now was stay calm, and keep an eye out for any other trouble. He could hear people talking about investigating the noise outside, one of which was a stupid idea. What if it was a trap to draw out some of the students while the remaining few stayed at the ball? it would certainly leave them ripe for the picking if the strongest left "Whoever goes out there is a fool" he shouted over the chaos, aimed at the ones looking to find their brooms and investigate "All you will be doing is putting yourself and others in harms way, stick together and don't act like a hero for heavens sake..." he grunted, sick and tired of the ignorance the students were showing tonight.
Action: Percy tries to keep everyone together instead of letting people investigate
