Secret Blossom Ball
Alexander's smile only continued to grow wider. He loved seeing Aida so enthusiastic. He patiently listened to her as she spoke and looked at her with joy and satisfaction in his eyes. "I suppose I have to be careful around foxglove then. I don't want to be transported a hundred years into the future whilst walking through the forest."
As they neared the stands Alexander began thinking of responses he could give to the things Aida was talking about and her questions. As he did so his eyebrows furrowed a little and he clasped his hands together. Twisting his thumbs a little as he thought.
Then he looked towards Aida and spoke with clarity. And a quiet sort of satisfaction and generally enjoying the moment. "There is much beauty to be found in this world. Just as there is much that spoils the beauty of the world. Yet it is important to always keep looking towards what is good so as not to be consumed by that which spoils the world and thus join it." He then transitioned from the philosophical to a more personal response.
"But I'd love to go exploring with you sometime in the future. Perhaps when we have the summer break." Then Alexander thought intensely for a moment. Now they had come to personal topics. What his hobbies were, his dreams. Honestly, Alexander had to take a moment to think about it himself. Then he responded openly.
"Well I used to do a bit of softball. Though that stopped when I moved to England. After that, I mostly read and browsed the internet. Reading fantasy books and watching videos about fantasy worlds and characters. Now I suppose I have walked into a fantasy story myself. One with magic, wizards & witches, and a myriad of other things. But with this, I can't skip to the end of the book to see how it ends."
"As for dreams. I don't really know myself honestly. I don't truly know what is possible either. Furthermore, I have yet to find where my talents truly lie. So I can't say where it might lay." Alexander then stared of towards one of the large towers.
"Certainly no quidditch player. But maybe a duelist or some kind of craftsman? I am not sure."
As he said so they just reached the stairs towards the stands and Alexander began ascending them.

Secret Blossom Ball
Interacting with @Evelynn Decipio
Just after dusk a sole figure emerged from the shadows of Hogwarts Castle, long blonde manes hidden from sight by the hood of his black cloak. What little of the fading daylight managed to reach his face was nowhere near enough to be able to make out the figure was in fact Vincent, unless you were no more than ten feet away. It didn’t matter, all that mattered was that he didn’t attract any attention to himself. He pulled his cloak closer around his body to hide the formal attire he wore underneath it and cautiously set foot towards the Quidditch stadium. As he was expected to attract as little unwanted attention as possible he took a slight detour, avoiding the paved paths. He flinched as the flat soles of his shoes caused him to slip and almost topple over. Stupid shoes with their slippery soles. He wasn’t too fond of walking around all dressed up, he by far preferred the casual look, but since, as his mother had taught him, etiquette required him to dress formally when attending a ball, he had made an effort to look sharp. Well, sharpish anyway.Open for other interactions
The date to this ball had been set weeks ago and with it came the silent, but serious warning not to draw attention to it in any way. At first Vincent hadn’t given it much thought, a formal dance is not exactly the kind of event an eleven year old boy usually is concerned with. Nevertheless Vincent couldn’t help but feel a little excited about all this. He had a thing for the unknown, the sneaky, the mysterious even, although that usually applied to something else than a ball. But his fondness for the unknown was not the main reason he decided to attend. He wanted to address something he had grossly neglected lately, which was meeting new people and, who knows, making new friends. He had been too engrossed in studying – and other, more worrying matters – to make serious work of it, so this would be the perfect occasion to do exactly that. He smiled with anticipation as he approached the stadium, curious to experience what it would be like in there and, perhaps more importantly, who he would meet.
He had no idea how formal it would actually be, but an official ball – even a secret one – seemed, well, official. In his book official meant behaving according protocol, which he didn’t exactly have sufficient, let alone extensive knowledge of. He tried hard to remember the rules of etiquette his mother had so patiently taught him. The thought of his mother sent a short but intense rush of sadness through him. He missed her more than he would ever admit, but the thought of how proud she would be if she could see him behave like a true gentleman tonight comforted him. He smiled. He was definitely planning on having a great time tonight. The only regret he had towards this evening was the fact he didn’t have a date. Though he had never really thought about how it was supposed to be going, not even in his wildest dreams he would have imagined his first official ball would go like this. Sneaking out all dressed up, walking stealthily to its location alone, no date to escort to this secretive dance. So much for mystique and romance. No, this was certainly not how he felt it was supposed to be. Yet here he was. He wasn’t even surprised to be honest, things hadn’t exactly be normal for the past months anyway, so why would this be any different? With a smile of resignation on his face, he straightened his back and accepted the fact this was actually only fitting. Time to get in there.
Upon arriving at the stadium Vincent was rather surprised there was no visible indication something huge was going on inside. Only when he was on the proverbial doorstep he discerned two rows of candles enveloped in what looked like soap bubbles that lit up the path to the actual pitch where the ball would take place. Vincent could only admire the set-up, which ensured no suspicion would be raised with any unsuspecting passerby. Very clever. He entered the changing rooms and took off his cloak, revealing his formal attire. He was wearing a cashmere, dark scarlet, single breasted, classic tuxedo jacket with black satin-piped lapels and slit pockets over a matching pair of black cashmere pants, a white pleated square-front tuxedo shirt and a black necktie with a solid baroque pattern. Fitting black, plain toe single monk strap shoes and a white pocket square completed his outfit. He took a blue-and-bronze boutonniere – after all he was an eagle – from the box that was held at eyesight by a suit of armor, pinned it to his breast pocket, swept his hair back and entered the stadium.
Once inside he couldn’t help but be in awe of what he saw. The arena was beautifully transformed into a fairy-like ballroom with the dance floor as the centerpiece, that, due to its black-and-white tiled setup, vaguely resembled a giant chessboard. It was flanked by a large amount of tables, each holding a flower arrangement, on both sides and a stage at the far end. Sweet tunes resounded from the stage where an orchestra successfully tried to create the right atmosphere for the night. Both goal areas were arranged as concession stands offering a plethora of drinks and food. The scenery was illuminated by an enormous amount of the same bubbled candles that had marked the path at the entrance of the pitch, providing a somewhat dim, dreamy light. To top it off, the entire area was bordered with a wide array of flowers and plants. An impressive sight altogether. A rather large number of people was already present, scattered out all over the pitch and even though Vincent preferred his gatherings at a smaller scale the entire atmosphere was very much appealing to him. A tad overwhelmed he weighed the various options he had. Where to go, what to do next? So many people.
He looked at the dance floor where several people were dancing, but for now he had no interest in dancing. He needed to acclimatize first and build a bit a little more self-confidence before he was willing to put his mother’s lessons to the test. A little? No way, a lot! Besides, dancing was way more fun with a partner and seeing as he was still on his own that would have to change first. He noticed his throat felt a little dry, so he walked over to one of the tables to the left side of the dance floor and decided to quench his thirst first. Something to drink would be a great starting point. He checked the various chalices that were all prefilled with various sorts of liquids in a wide range of colors. He looked around, hoping to get some sort of clue of what they were filled with, but to no avail. He just had to choose and hope for the best. He randomly picked a one, glanced at its pale yellow contents and took a sip. It seemed he had made a good choice, as the chalice turned out to be filled with pineapple juice, coincidentally one of his most favored beverages. Or at least it tasted like pineapple juice, he wasn’t sure it really was.
Vincent took his chalice along and wandered around the pitch, staring in amazement at all the pretty suits and dresses, representing almost every color from the spectrum, surrounding him. It seemed everyone here, boys and girls alike, had gone out of their way to look sharp, pretty and handsome. While walking towards one of his fellow Ravenclaws, a boy he had talked to a couple of times before, to start a conversation, his eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar sight somewhere near the dance floor. He shifted his gaze. Auburn locks, fiery eyes... “Again with this?” he thought, slightly annoyed. This was the third time he ran into this up until now unknown girl, one could almost be forgiven for thinking this couldn’t be a coincidence anymore. Or perhaps the fact he simply had seen her before tricked his mind into thinking he ran into her unusually often. Either way, his Ravenclaw mate would have to wait, this time he was going to talk to her, come hell or high water. He halted and changed his direction towards her, all the while scrutinizing her carefully. She appeared to be alone. Even though her eyes were scanning the pitch she seemed a little preoccupied, absent even. Perhaps this wasn’t the right time to get acquainted. Then again, why not? Now would be as good a time as any, he could probably always find a reason – or more than one for that matter – why now wouldn’t be appropriate.
Still, the very thought stopped him in his tracks and he took a few seconds to ponder. He could still abandon, she hadn’t noticed him yet. But why would he? The worst that could happen was that she refused to talk to him and, perhaps, thought he was insane. He smiled, adjusted his necktie and confidently continued walking towards the girl, his gaze fixed on her striking eyes. He had been called worse and apart from that one could argue how far it was from the truth anyway. “Hi, I'm sorry about so rudely interrupting you train of thought, but do you mind me…?” The rest of the question was left floating as Vincent abruptly stopped talking. He lowered his eyes, cheeks flushed with shame. He took a deep breath before looking back up, his eyes once again locked on hers. "Pardon my manners, my mom would kill me if she were here, hearing me addressing a girl without properly introducing myself. I'm Vincent." he said with a wry smile, cursing himself for his lack of courtesy. "Vincent d'Arque. Enchanté, mademoiselle.”

It was not long before the girl noticed Thomas approaching Marion. What is he doing? She isn't going to take kindly to this after he threatened to push her out of the owlery window. It was not surprising to say the least. Thomas could only be trusted about as far as you could throw him, and for Tyranni, that meant she couldn't trust him at all. The sweet redemption for his stupidity was when Marion threw the drink in his face. He will never learn.
As she continued to people watch, she wandered to the drink table grabbing a refreshment and continued to wander. She managed to spot Dan sitting at a table with some boy she had never seen before. Typical. The boy looks smitten. He did not look like he would be much help should trouble arise. Flash was dancing with a boy that the girl had recognized in passing, but his attention still appeared to be partially focused on Vlad and Opeila. Jack was MIA. If that boy has gone somewhere to snog his date..., the thought wandered through her mind.
It was not long before Thora found the girl, and joined her, complimenting her on the war paint. "Thanks Thora! It is a tradition from my mothers side that dates backs centuries. The women still do this paint for most formal events or seances." She had only had a few meetings with the girl outside of Quidditch, but she seemed very competent in her abilities, if not relatively quiet.
"I'm not surprised Thomas deterred from the plan to approached Marion. I don't think we should trust him much more than we trust Vlad to be honest." With that, she looked back towards the group to see the boy now questioning Victor. "I really don't trust the weird kid he has tagging along with him like a desperate puppy either. The feelings I get from those two are not ones of comfort. If anything happens tonight, there is a good chance they will be behind some of it." Glancing towards Thora, she waited to see if the second year had any other observations.

Wren watched silently at the side of Victor, as Rafa and Lydia walked over. Rafa addressed all of them except her. She silently hoped that Rafa wasn’t mad at her. To her, he was like a brother. The closest thing she had of a sibling, until her mom got pregnant, but she would always think of him as her first brother, and she hoped she would get to introduce Rafa to her new brother once he was born.
She was a little surprised to hear Lydia address her and ask her if everything was alright. After her little outburst, even though it was defending her, Wren was sure she scared her off. She replied with:
“I just got here, I honestly have not a clue as to what is going on”
Rafa then excused himself suddenly and walked over to a table and peered under it. She hadn’t a clue as to what he thought he was doing, nor what he was actually doing. She debated on whether to go over to him or not, then deciding it would be better if she didn’t. She didn’t want to leave Lydia, again dateless, or Victor because she had already left him once. She decided to stay, and even though the boy, she learned to be Thomas, completely ignored her, she asked him what was going.
“Thomas, are you okay? What the hell happened to you?”
She intended to force him to look at her and acknowledge her.
“I need you to tell me so that I can help this situation.”

Emory felt delighted by Cassie’s compliment. It was nice to have someone compare her outfit to that of a Goddess, no less. She became even more delighted once the other girl returned a compliment to her. Cassie and Lizzie, their names were.
“Well, thank you gals so much. I appreciate it,” Emory said with a smile. Before she could ask anything else, Cassie had offered for Em to join them with two of their other friends. This was just what she needed! A group of people to talk to. “Oh, sure. I would love to tag along. As long as I am not interrupting or anything.”
Admittedly, it was a bit awkward being inserted into a group of completely random people, but it was also a nice way to make friends. Cassie and Lizzie seemed like really nice people, so there was no reason she should turn them down, right? Cassie even introduced Emory as one of her friends, which took her by surprise. Her shocked expression quickly returned back to a warm smile as she introduced herself to the other attendees. From listening to their conversation, she learned that the other two were named Blake and May.
Emory gave a slight wave to them and introduced her self, “I’m Emory, but you guys can call me Em. Nice to meet both of you. I don’t mean to intrude in your group, by the way. I hope you don’t mind.” Emory took a seat in one of the empty chairs after the rest did. “I promise I don’t bite,” she said with a giggle.
The young Slytherin would sit quietly and listen to the others as they spoke, only interjecting when she needed to. She even joined in on the toast and took a sip of the lemonade that she had in her hand.

What Ozzy said made Dan's heart drop. Judging from his stories, Ozzy loved his mother more than almost anyone. Worse yet, he was stuck alone with his father, of all people. If what Ozzy said about him was true, the man was an utter sociopath. He wasn't physically abusive, at least Ozzy hadn't told him that he was, but his mental abuse and emotional abuse he inflicted upon poor Ozzy was enough to make Dan want to take a high heel to him.Interacting with @Oswald Vanigton
Dan hugged Ozzy tighter.
I do understand. But ye still should'v owled me or sumtin. Deat' of a loved one isn't sumtin ye, or no one else should hafta go t'rough alone. Thats what yer friends, and yer boyfriend'r for.
Then Dan thought of something. Something that was a half baked idea, and would probably never work.
"Hey, if yer wantin' ta get away from yer dad, do ye wanna stay with me? I'll talk wit me mum'n'dad about it. And eh... try ta keep me dad from brainin' yers."/
Then Dan remembered. He was supposed to keep an eye out to what was going on. He flicked his eyes to the dance floor, and located Opeila immediately. And she was dancing with someone. Dan supposed that this was Vlad.
"Eh, Ozzy... I gotta tell ya, Im sposta help keep an eye on the ball, Watcha say we finish eatin' quick like, and maybe we go and look together?"

As her creative friend started listing all of the possible paints that she can remember, Breana's eyes grew wider and wider as the list grew longer. "P-puffy paint...?" Is all she could muster, as that's what Willow said would interest her. Thought of what puffy paint is flew through her little curly-haired head. Is it a sort of food paint? Is it paint for cream puffs? No, her mother would've told her about that already... Maybe it's the type the makes stuff puff up? What type of chemical would create such a reaction on objects though? Is it safe for her to handle? She shook her head, getting herself back into the conversation with Willow. "Well, I'm sure we can get together during free period and try out all them paints!" She chirped.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) for Breana there was no shortage of surprises for the young bird as Willow was almost lightning fast to guessing who she went out to this ball with. "H-HUH-- Why--h-how--" She started, then quickly tried to defend herself with a loud but rather nervous laugh. "Aaaaaah, well, you see, I-- Erhm-- Well--" She said, before hanging her head in defeat. Breana let out a long-winded groan before pointing at Willow. "Promise, okay?! I want a pinky swear AND a cross-your-heart!" She pleaded to the Hufflepuff, holding out her pinky for that solid promise.
Now Breana's expression turned into one of anticipation. It's time for Willow to get on the hot seat instead. She placed both of her hands on her legs, squishing the shape of her dress a bit. "Ooooooooo~" Breana hooted playfully to her. "Ah, was he? That's a shame, though..." She then lightly patted Willow's shoulder. "Well, I'm sure that you could find h--HE WHAT?!" Breana shouted, quickly covering her mouth with her hands to stop her from shouting any further. She lowered her voice as she continued. "Is it like... the full-on type of kiss? Not CPR or anything....???" The little girl probed. She wouldn't expect to be doing stuff like holding hands at her age, much less kissing, so hearing that Willow did it already is astounding for her.
During their time on the dance floor, Breana laughed as Willow sang along with her. "AAAYYY!" She laughed. "My dad knows! But it's in Portuguese, not the real Spanish one, though." Then she started singing the one that her dad knew, humming the parts that she couldn't quite understand. "And then there's this thing that Papa does that's called trilling, like--" Breana starts trilling as if she was rolling her R's in a rapid pace for a language test. As she does the exciting sound, she spins around, making her dress flow beautifully. She laughed happily, glad that her dress wasn't too restraining for such quick movements.

Blind to the fact that she had been spotted by the individual whom she wished to avoid (Percival Gray), Evelynn's steps carried her on a seemingly meandering path. Gray eyes darted this way and that, taking careful stock of those who had gathered, and catching sight of a suit of armor in a far corner guarding what appeared to be a collection of brooms. An interesting feature to include at the ball, to be sure. One, she could only assume, was a consideration for some sort of escape ride out. At least, that's the first thing that came to mind for her. Hopefully it would come to that, however.
Now and then, Evelynn's gaze would flicker back to the dance floor, keeping the occasional tabs on Holmwood and Tan. The tension in Flash's expression seemed to have since faded, at least as far as Evelynn could tell at this distance. At the very least, the two were well into their dancing now, evidently Flash having taken the lead despite having been the one propositioned. An interesting twist, she thought. There also seemed to be a significant lack of smiling, she noted. Were this supposed to be some sort of lighthearted display as the Gryffindor had made it out to be, she might have expected softer expressions from the both of them, the occasional smile, lilting voices. Instead, they looked conspiratorial, and Evelynn noticed that Flash's attention periodically drifted to...
That was when Seilun caught her attention, dancing with the boy she recognized as the one who had donned the long coat in the courtyard back in February. So he had finally arrived, then, Vladimir. And evidently, her date and his present dance partner had noticed as well, as shortly after, an unfortunate trip and stumble by Tan left the two in serendipitously close proximity. Enough to keep a close eye on them. Evelynn found her attention shifting back to the brunette cub, regarding him curiously. He hadn't been named as one of those in on the operations, but perhaps he knew enough to force an involvement? It seemed to convenient of a stumble, now that she thought of it. Perhaps he, like his dance partner, was a practiced actor in his own right. She'd have to keep that possibility in mind in future.
That aside, if those two were handling matters on that front, she'd do well to fix her own attention elsewhere. Peeling her attention away from the dance floor, she continued her wandering, once more flicking those pale grey hues from face to face, figure to figure. The sudden sound of shattering glass snapped her attention around to a set of faces she had previously spied earlier in the night. There, standing in apparent shock with what appeared to be shards of reflective glass at his feet, stood Moore. His eyes upon the arrival of Caster, an overly large vase of flowers held out to her. A group of girls cut in front of Evelynn's vision, temporarily cutting them off from view. And just as well. The little lioness didn't want to be too noticeable in her curiosities if she could avoid it. Although, it wasn't like it would be odd, she imagined, for anyone to find her peering in their direction. They stood out awfully.
But they weren't the only ones. A streak of green flashed unexpectedly in Evelynn's peripherals. She didn't search hard for the source. Riding upon a broom to take station above the milling of the students at the ball sat none other than Pierre, perched upon the shaft of a broom like some sort of peacock in emerald finery. Oh. Apparently Flash wasn't the only one of whom she referred to by given name. Temporarily drawn to a halt, Evelynn waved fingers in his direction, brow cocked and lips pulled into a crooked smirk as that notion settled in and her mind continued to churn. Of course he'd come flashing in with some sort of schtick. Although, admittedly, she was somewhat disappointed for not having thought of that herself. A bird's eye view at a time like this would have been quite useful... Perhaps she ought to pop up and join him...
Just as she turned back, thoughts seriously contemplating returning tofind that suit of armor she had spotted earlier and to "borrow" one of the brooms it was guarding, she caught the eye of someone waving. Who-- MacAllister, evidently. Although a touch surprised by the acknowledgement, Evelynn returned his distant greeting from across the crowd with a dip of her chin and a small wave of her fingers. He seemed a little caught in conversation with his lovely escort at the moment, Evelynn noted, but perhaps she could find him again sometime a bit later. She had considered making use of the ball to properly touch base with all of the Quidditch team members in a capacity outside of practice, and the two of them still hadn't yet had a proper conversation. Plus, he looked rather impressive sporting a traditional kilt. She could hardly let that pass without some sort of comment. Yes, she decided. A little later.
Right now, she had more important matters, and no doubt Flash would be disappointed if he knew she was anything but resolutely focused in her duties. By the time she had skirted around the group of girls, Evelynn had spotted a little table, as yet unoccupied. A perfect spot to rest wearing feet and await the return of her 'date', and all the while provide a convenient view of a certain group. Which, by the looks of it, had lost a member. Caster had taken off elsewhere, it seemed, to meet up with a few others. And unfortunately, her own quidditch Captain was among that number. Leaning forward, elbows planting to rest lightly on the table's surface while fingers interlaced below her chin, Evelynn tried not to look too keen on watching his interactions. Although, admittedly, she felt a sudden and very strong urge to hex him right then and there. What she'd give to watch his reaction as copious amounts of mucous spewed suddenly and violently from his nose. How quick could he be, she wondered? Would he be able to move in time before coating the lovely dress of his date?
So as not to allow the stir of ire and flame boil her skin too quickly, she forced herself to pull her attention away from him and onto those nearby. But she kept them all within her peripherals, and she could not stem the thoughts that rose as a result. Where was Flash? An emotion bordering on envy flared up obnoxiously in the pit of her stomach at that moment knowing that he was away on the dance floor instead of with her. How was she supposed to test D'Spacito's reaction if her date wasn't even there to elicit one? Although... perhaps this was even better. If he saw her supposedly alone, only then to be joined by his friend, perhaps the effect would be greater. Somehow, she felt comforted by that premonition, lips curling with a hint of vengeful confidence.
And then she was left to passively observe. It seemed so strange to her, really. To watch two of the individuals with who she'd had so much strife just indirectly mingling with those who had proven to be massive time sinks of her own pondering. Did Caster know? Who it was she had attended with? And who was he, really, that Moore? Or Davenport? Or Vladimir? Were they innocent? Or somehow involved in all of this as more than provisioners of circumstantial evidence? The latter-most, at least, seemed to be...something. No ordinary student would perpetuate the circulation of effectively poisoned sweets and the chaos they could inspire. But to what extent? And what of the other two?
An outcry by Davenport drew Evelynn from her reveries and she glanced over just in time to see her meager attempt to push away a relatively stocky looking fellow (Lestrange) in black. Silently scolding herself for missing whatever had lead up to that outburst, she watched on after as Moore intervened. Or tried to. An oriental looking kid (Jones), a Hufflepuff chaser actually now that she recognized him from the last Hufflepuff versus Gryffindor unofficial match, had stepped away from the group, his feet carrying in her direction and blocking part of her view. She leaned forward casually to lightly touch her chin to the knuckles of her interlocked fingers in order to look around him, but...
"Hm?" She was forced to break her attention and fix it upon someone (Vincent d'Arque) who had come up from beyond her blind spot.
Evelynn turned her head about, gray eyes panning to find themselves met with those of a peculiarly familiar presence. One whose string of speech cut off abruptly as he apparently decided that he had been just a little bit too bold, or perhaps rude, in interrupting her silent musings. Evelynn's brow quirked to crease her forehead as she watched with mixed amusement at the spread of a flush across the boy's face, and confusion as to why he seemed familiar. With a blink, her gaze flicked down to note his wry smile before glancing up to meet his gaze once more.
"A pleasure..." she replied, the tone of her voice a touch reserved with veiled curiosity. And how unfortunate. His surname was one that wouldn't flow easily amidst normal English conversation. "Decipio," she replied in kind, holding out a hand for a shake as her scrutinizing gaze flicked over his face and the obvious features of his attire. "Evelynn Decipio."
That was when it hit her. A sudden flash of sandy blonde hair from a lofty perch above muddied ground. Brows pinched almost imperceptively as her gaze lofted momentarily to glance back over his shoulder to almost exactly the direction of the stands on the other side of the ball where she had seen a certain lonely figure seated several weeks before during her last practice game.
"...do you watch Quidditch?" she asked, the probing of her question slightly guarded.
Before she could properly reply to his response, however, the very same Hufflepuff (Aaron Jones) that had blocked her view moments before cut into the introductions with her name on his lips.
"Ah, hello," she greeted him, wiping the intense focus from her expression and replacing it, hopefully, with a welcoming one. She gave a slight shrug of her shoulders through the foxfur stole that covered them. "Well enough, I guess. I find the decorations quite enchanting, actually," she smiled, using that as an excuse to let her gaze wander back around as though admiring them, but really taking another sweep of her gaze around her in order to get a snapshot update of the group of interest. Caster had returned at some point. Likewise, the unfamiliar boy in black (Lestrange) was holding a hand out to Moore as though expectant.
"And you?" Evelynn smiled, glancing back to Jones. "Enjoying yourself?" She'd wait a moment to allow him to respond, but then would ply apart her fingers and hold out a hand. "Decipio, by the way. Evelynn Decipio," she offered, evidently offering a shake. "And this is Vincent d'Arque," she continued, introducing the other boy as well. "But you already knew mine, it seems. It looks like you have me at a disadvantage..." She let the comment hang in the air, her expression clearly expecting a response.
Action: Currently seated at a table, conversing with d'Arque and Jones

Willow nodded excitedly at Bre's confusion of puffy paint, "It's paint that is like puffy and dries like that! So you can make like 3D dots on stuff! It's very cool." Willow had decorated different things in her house with puffy paint for fun. It was always fun to make textured designs that were actually 3D and not something that she had to make look 3D. "I'll owl my parents for more of my painting supplies, so I'll owl you when I get them all in and then we can figure out a day from there?" Her parents had been sending her collection in bits and pieces to take it easy on the owls, maybe she could send two next time...
Her own pinky reached out and solidly linked with Bre, "Bre, your secret is now locked and sealed within my whole heart. It will never be leaked, it will end up with me in my grave I promise you that." Crushes were a big deal to reveal, and Willow didn't want to break the trust with the first person that had ever trusted her with that information. Granted, she kind of pulled it out of Bre. But, in doing that it was now her responsibility to keep it as much of a secret at Bre wanted. Willow followed up the pinky promise with a cross of her heart. "Cross my heart, or hope to die."
Willow panicked and quickly shushed Bre as her voice raised when Willow mentioned the kiss. With a giggle she shook her head at Bre's description of the kiss. "It was just like... He kissed me. Neither of us moved or did anything. Alan was the one that pulled me away. I was just shocked! I couldn't believe his nerve. But," She shrugged, "It happened. I can only move on from it right? Plenty of kissing left in my life to do." Without Bre, she reasoned she would be having a much worse night.
The Hufflepuff didn't want her time with Bre to end, especially as she started to sing and tell her about her family in the small ways. The ways Willow thought mattered. But as she spun with Bre, Willow's eyes caught a certain Quidditch Captain pulling something out from under a table. How many people were hiding things under tables? Ruka had hid sticks. It almost enough of a question to make her look under all the tables. For now, maybe she could start with him. Willow turned to Bre, an urgency in her eyes. "Bre, you should go talk to Pericles. If you are his date, you deserve one dance. And honestly, we don't know how long this ball is going to last because it could be shut down by a professor any second. Go get your dance. A princess needs her prince after all. I'll find you later, yeah? I have to go ask someone something..." She glanced at the Gryffindor that was now behind her, returned her gaze to Bre with a quick nod, and headed over.
She approached from behind, hoping she could catch him in the act and startle him enough to get a real answer. As she got close enough, her footsteps lightened and went on her toes so her heels wouldn't make an audible noise. Even if he turned and spotted her, her following actions wouldn't change. She peered over his shoulder at... flowers? "Long time no see Thunderbird~ What 'cha up to?" If he were to stand up, she'd take a couple steps back to accommodate his height. If he stayed crouched she would crouch down next to him. "That's a weird place to hide flowers for your date. They're not very safe under a table, are they?" A gentle smile was on her face, hand clasped in front of her. She wasn't trying to insinuate that he was up to wrongdoing, but someone who hid things under tables wasn't exactly innocent either.
"I don't know whether to cry or scream or do both. It feels like I've done more than enough of both. And it feels like I haven't done enough." - Mason Deaver

Secret Blossom Ball
squeak
squeak
After getting changed in the changing rooms, Mildred went off to find wherever the main ball was located. Thankfully, she followed the lingering students scattered about and was able to finally walk in- at first, she had to do a double-take and make sure she didn't somehow end up at the wrong place, despite the fact that it was quite impossible however there was always the chance that she actually fell down a magical hole and she was someplace else, one can dream of course. The quidditch pitch looked completely different, it was honestly quite amazing how the pitch turned out- she looked around at the candles floating in the sky in which they seemed to be trapped in some sort of bubble. At the walls, a variety of plants and flowers hung from above. The whole atmosphere of the lights, flowers and everyone there... everything felt so surreal.
She walked further in, hearing the squeak of her shoes- she was first greeted by suits of armors. One containing ribbons and boutonnieres donated by the LGBTQIAP club, she peeked through the accessories and took a boutonniere that was a bright yellow and black to represent her house, the only thing she thought was could she eat this. She held up the boutonniere and spin it around, didn't men usually wear these? she shrugged, she'd come back to the whole could she eat this matter later on.
She listened to the music and wished she had brought Chicken with her, she just knew that Chicken would have loved the music. She looked closer at the stage with the Arts and Orchestral Society club playing music, hoping that perhaps she could find someone to teach Chicken music- when she noticed Willow and Breana dancing- She watched Willow spin Breana before taking her departure, she would have to say hello later although at the moment she clapped and cheered for Breana and her dancing skills, "GO BREANA!" That was also another person she would have to say hello too later on although more pressing matters were at hand right now, the snack tables.
Moving through the sea of students, Mildred went on her merry way to reach the snacks table. While the young Hufflepuff girl had eaten dinner beforehand, it was just there was always room for dessert... and a whole another dinner. Was this the greatest idea? Not really, she knew that although food was the greatest cure for her sadness and the second cure being her shoes. Whoever had planned the snacks table or what would go on the table, she would have to thank later... she could practically cry at the assortments of food and how wonderful everything looks, she quickly grabbed a plate and piled a few cupcakes and fries on the side. Lastly, she knew she needed something to wash everything down she looked at the drinks table in the middle and grabbed something random, she looked at whatever she grabbed and it seemed she grabbed a random bottle of "yoohoo" whatever that was.
Carrying her food and her strange drink, she quickly walked towards the nearest table scared of dropping her food, by the nearest table it was really the first table she saw- although there was already a participant at the table, she hoped they didn't mind. She quickly placed down her food and realized a sigh of relief, "Whew- I was scared I was going to drop all my food, that would have been a real disaster." She looked at the person sitting at the table realizing that she most definitely did not know them, which is just great. She has seen them around the school, in classes and around there and here however she didn't know them and with everyone wearing formal attire or whatever they so wished- she didn't know what house they were in. The girl in question wore a suit which definitely looked good on them, "Hello! Do you mind if I sit here? I don't think I've ever met you before, the name's Mildred Wilson!" she beamed at the girl while motioning towards the chair.
