Lights, spells, action. Things fell apart pretty quickly within the train. Locomotion commotion was an apt description for what went down (are you sick of reading those sweet words yet?). But, it would not be an apt description for the current situation. Unlike the baddies' locomotion movement, which Galton had failed to stop, the train was fully halted. Halted was a nice way to put it. It crashed. There was screaming, there was yelling, some blood - a big ordeal. Galton had even let out a few yelp as he held onto a doorknob or railing, or whatever it was, Galton couldn't tell so much.

Shortly after he valiantly cast his splitting spell and was pushed into the hall by Heavy, he was blinded. That was the "lights" part of "lights, spells, action", if you were wondering. If he had better ears he maybe could've attributed the nice optical burns as a product of his dueling partner. But he didn't, so she would go unblamed. Truth be told, being "blinded" was the most uncomfortable thing about the current situation. Sure the train car was turned on its side, and some kids were most likely critically injured, but Galton the Glorious, the lifeblood of Gryffindor, had a hard-than-average time seeing. Galton felt a bit like a moth must after staring at a lamp for too long.

Unlike a moth, Galton wanted to get out of the current light he was in. Whether it was flames from the explosion, or once-working corridor lights, staying inside the wreck seemed to be less than ideal. Galton had also seemed to lose his traveling companion, the great Hugh the Heavy and he kind of missed him already. Plus, without the protection of Galton, the boy could be dead. What type of hero would Galton be if he let him perish? A bad one, probably.

And so, the dazed Lansdale sought to make his way out and to the boy. Though, this time, like a moth, Galton may have had to do a little more bumping to make his way out. Blurred vision really was just such an inconvenience.

"Huuuuuuugh. Did you die?" Galton would callout.

Just when Griseldis confidently believed that she would be able to punch that awful cowboy who was capable to pull a young girl's hair and used it as his hostage. A girl with ginger long hair suddenly came out of nowhere right between her and the cowboy. WHA-!?!?!? It was too late to stop and before she knew it, her fist connected at the poor girl's jaw instead of the cowboy. And the moment she watched helplessly as she fell from the physical impact and had a headbutt right at Opeila's face, however, it seemed to her that the ginger got the most injury and pain from both sides which made Griseldis winced at the sight.

Time wasn't merciful enough to give her a moment to let her emotion of guilt and disappointment sink in. Everything escalated into chaos in the car. A few students who were in the hallway decided to fight against the cowboys but there were a few who decided to hide in the compartment to keep from selves safe from the danger outside. It was extremely difficult to do anything against the cowboys when someone thought it was a good idea to blind everyone in the hallway by casting very powerful light spells which resulted in not only blinding the cowboys but the innocent students as well. How could that person risk other people's lives and only thought about their own safety in such a selfish way? It was rare for the lioness to get so frustrated, but then an explosion happened and a heavy object crashing towards her right in the guts causing her to lost her own balance. Darkness, Pain, Screams, and the sound of the rolling car...CRASH!

Griseldis didn't know how long she was unconscious, she could feel the pain and the heaviness on her stomach. She used both hands to touch what was on her and it felt like it was a large piece of luggage on her. She tried to gather all the strength she had to push the object aside so she could be free from it. Hearing the gentle hoots of an owl, she immediately recognized it was Crystal, "Crystal!", Griseldis shouted then she felt something landed on her right shoulder and now she could clearly hear the hoots from her own. "Thank Merlin, you're ok...", even though she could only see things blurry but she could at least guess what she was seeing and rely on her hearing. She also slowly realized that she could feel the heat around her, was the train burning? I need to find the others first to get out of here...I hope Opeila and the others are still alive...was the lioness's first thought. Luckily, she was able to hear a loud familiar voice not so far away from her direction. "Alan! Is that you? It's me, Gris!!", Placing a hand on her stomach to try to smooth the pain, she would walk in Alan's direction.

"Jesus cheese and crackers" Raine muttered under her breath as she rubbed her head after she was tossed from one end of her compartment back out into the hallway where she was not trying to be. She was ecstatic that her spell was successful, as she saw the cowboy she attacked start spitting up slugs the moment her spell connected, but her inner happiness was short lived as she joined the tumbleweed parade that the car decided to do with everyone that was standing or sitting in that particular cabin. Her compartment wasn't safe and Raine was shown that as she flipped about within it. She sadly also saw a lot of her housemates get tossed from the train itself and had to wonder if they would have survived the fall without much injury. She was lucky enough to not be tossed...

Or was it unlucky?

They were all now stuck on a train car that was separated from the rest of the train it seemed after that explosion. Raine sighed heavily as she made her way back onto her feet slowly. She noticed one of her classmates using the red sparks spell in the train, giving Raine an idea. If the car they were on was stationary, surely someone in the other cars on the train would notice that it was gone and alert an adult, hopefully before reaching the school. But just in case that courtesy was not granted...

"Does anyone have an owl we can send an emergency letter to the school with? We have injured students and I doubt we can all heal ourselves properly before the next set of trouble begins."

Again, this was a time where the girl wished that she had an owl of her own, but alas, she had to rely on others and hope they were smart enough to compose the letter.

Other than setting a scene for emergency services to be contacted Raine didn't know what else to do. She doubted anyone would see the red sparks in the daylight. Plus, with the cowboys gone, Raine's concern returned back to the weird overcast that she had seen earlier before the takeover. This was all staged, she was sure of it, but she could worry about the attack being staged later.

Right now, she concerned herself with the darkness that flew over the train before the explosion.

His fist swept past the cowboy and as Hugh's eyes lit up in surprise, a bright light flashed into the entire hallway. For a time, all he could see was a burning white that eventually dissolved into flashing sparkles obscuring his vision. Rubbing his eyes with both hands, he tried to get his eyes adjusting back to his surroundings. That's when he felt the train rocket. Whilst his hand would instinctively reach out to hold on to something, he was too late. His fingers slipped past whatever metal object he almost managed to get a grip on and in the blink of an eye he felt himself catapulted backwards.

His feet dangling in the air with no control over his flight pattern at all, he was bound to collide with something. The part-giant crossed his arms in an attempt to make his entire figure solid. To his own surprise, he found himself landing on both his feet. Though the impact his body made with the ground did leave a print behind. Taking a second to realize the commotion was done, Hugh lifted his head in response to hearing his name. There was no mistaking who's it was. "Galton! I can't see! Where are you?" Trying to peer through his stinging eyes, the large Gryffindor stumbled forward into the snow. "Hello?" There was little for him to do in his current state. He felt like a sitting duck if any of those cowboys were still near and out to get them. "Bastards..." He hissed with clenched teeth.

Akari stayed crouched down near this injured boy, her face still plastered with a concerned look. His deep harsh cough worried Akari even more and her brows began to furrow slightly as the boy began to speak. She was puzzled, and wanted to ask the boy a some questions to try piece the situation together, but he was quite obviously not in the shape for that so instead she just stayed quiet, and tried to look around and find someone she could ask to help assist the injured boy, but everyone was occupied by trying to fight off the cowboys.
She was grateful when she noticed that her compartment mate had come out as well and was impressed by his spell casting and in the corner of her eye watched his charm hit one of the cowboys behind her.
Her heart though continued throbbing rapidly, she was frightened of what the cowboys might do next seeing the chaos they had already caused.

But then before she knew and was able to comprehend what was going on screech the train came to a jarring halt, sending limbs, luggage and pets alike, flying throughout the car. Her eyes squeezed shut not wanting to see what was happening.
Luck just seemed not to be on their side.... things were only getting worse.
Once she opened her eyes she was astonished... did... did the cowboys just disappear? Just like that? How- Why-
Then nearly crashing head first into someone abruptly yanked her out of her thoughts and brought her back to the present. Looking up to see that her compartment mate who she still didn’t know the name of, saved her from a painful collision, she then shakily and somewhat out of breath proceeded to thank him.

She then watched with wide eyes as the windows began to shatter and all kinds of things were breaking left, right and centre. Now grabbing and clinging on to whatever she could she watched in horror as a couple kids including that injured boy slid out of the train and were left on the track behind them. Her mouth opened as if she were to say something, but nothing, not even a squeak came out.

Then a small squeal could be heard from the compartment she had previously been in as her little fluffy creature came bounding out and then immediately leapt up into her arms. Once she caught him, Akari held Kenji securely in her arms, not caring if that meant giving up her balance, she wouldn’t let him get hurt.

Jackson & Marshal

@Jackson Valentine was more fortunate than some. He would tumble and roll, purchasing hold only to have it ripped away with the violent turning of the train as it was blow off the tracks. The scream of twisting metal and the rumble of shuddering earth. He would never forget the noise, the feeling of being tossed about like an insignificant ragdoll. The sounds of his classmates, their calls for help and their fearful screams of pain.

@Marshal Mozor would not be so lucky, the car would crush his leg. the very weight of the car would break his bones. The pain of a fracture is utterly unique. There is this sudden wave of pain, this sense of panic, a primal sensation that they were in trouble. It would be generic but the pain would come and then go with a throbbing ebb. It could easily be forgotten in that moment after, a product of panic but he would be reminded the first time he dared try to move.

Jackson would make the error of performing more than a single action in a round. Bandaging his own wounds first, tearing bits of his ruined attire in an attempt to stymie his bleeding. Partially effective, sealing his wounds, those deep cuts and wide abrasions. Bandaged wounds being heated to the point of cauterization
It was a little innovation he had learned after Professor Vernatis warned them of the heat-generating properties of the Wand Lighting Charm. With a potent enough flame, he placed his wand against his bandaged joints.

@Katrina Walker would be tossed about the car. Rocked back and forth, she would be lurched violently. A barrage of suitcases and travel wares would bash about the car as well as the flailing bodies of her peers. Yet ultimately, compared to others Katrina would be relatively unhurt.

She would start bellowing orders that she would not follow herself. Nobody would heed them as the girl made big plans in a very short span of time. What she needed to do however was find a way out of the car. She would have to climb past her injured and disoriented peers: Opeila, Galton, Cade and Kaito.

Her own belongings left behind, Katrina would escape through the rear of the caboose.

A voice would call out to Kat as she explored the outside of the overturned car.

”K-K-K-Kat?! Anyone? Help! We’re... some of us are still trapped in here!”

The voice belonging to a bloodied and very much injured Pierre.

Meenauh

@Meenauh Silmataurea's thoughts were on Xailah when the explosion went off, the concussive force knocking the train from the tracks. All the duelist could do was hold on, she could not save anyone when she needed to save herself. She would fare better than many of her peers, she was still able to walk. She would have to climb past her peers: Starlee, Calanthe, Pierre, Everly, Alec and even Xailah. The nearest and clearest exit was through the flaming portal made by the very explosion that rocked the caboose off the tracks.

Meenauh would not climb over her injured and fallen peers. She would not emerge through the still flaming passageway to the outside of the train. No, Meenauh would have to climb. Elena

It was a good thing owls can fly...

Only, they were intended to do so outside of their cage.

@Elena Jangleton would be flung from the car, bloodied, bruised and disoriented she would land in the icy snow. A bit of a chilly salve that would soothe her wounds had she the luxury to ponder them. She had Flutters to worry about. Flutters was still on the train, trapped within the confines of its' battered cage. Wings flapping uselessly, letting out panicked hoots from the confines of the abandoned compartment.

Her compartment-mate (Marshal) was crushed by the car. She would not tend to him or seek out her owl, she first needed to find her wand. She had lost it in the chaos of the crash. She needed to find her wand, it had to be someplace in the snow.

Opeila would hear the words but it was as if she was underwater -- blub blub blub. She heard it, she just did not pay any heed. She just compared herself with the girl, anything she could do... Opeila could do also.

The girl would be battered, tired and disoriented but she could still walk under her own power. Her wand in hand she would wander out the train after Katrina, leaving Galton, Cade and Akari behind. She would call out for "Vladimir" but she would not get an answer. Vladimir was not moving but she would see him. A trail of blood would stain the snow red and black. His clothes, a casual cornflower blue sweater with a white collared shirt beneath and a pair of simple tan slacks would be tattered and bloodied.
Opeila would find Vladimir unconscious in the snow.

Anastasia

Ana was argumentative for the sake of being argumentative. Fighting for the sake of a minimal offense, her fragile ego and pride being threatened. Her lack of care and regard for others notable until the moment Evelyn locked the compartment door, separating them from whatever disaster might befall their peers. Suddenly then Ana had reason to protest. Suddenly she was worried about people she would not have given the time of day to minutes earlier.

Some people are enamored by conflict, not by an actual passion.

The train would be knocked off the tracks. Suddenly she would become closer to Rafael, Evelyn, Jacob and Jackson than she ever intended. Their bodies colliding like racquetballs being swatted about. Her concern for others would not be extended to Valentine, the boy was launched out the window of the rolling car. He narrowly missed being crushed, instinct likely driving him more than skill.

When the car stopped rolling, the caboose would be on it's side. Their nearest means of escape being up. It was by the virtue of luck that the three: Evelynn, Rafael and Jacob would remain inside. Ana was below them, standing in the unstable car. Another doorway immediately below her that could still give way under her feet if she did not take care.

Ana would start rummaging through the misplaced and displaced luggage and students about her. Apparently her broom was on her person while she was casually ambling about the car. A stretch. Her demands for answers and information would go unheard.

[Any player in the hall can claim to have a spider money Pierre wrapped around them]. He would bounce in the car as it dangerously careened off the tracks. There were terrible noises and tragedies that he would not be able to see.

The Gryffindor would quickly realize that his kitten Figaro was missing. The poor bengal kitten had been launched from the car during the crash. Thankfully cats mostly land on their feet. Pierre would not see it of course, the kitten had wandered off. The fascinating white fluff (snow) required further exploration. The kitten would find poor, legs crushed Mozor.

"Mew?"

Pierre would try to find a way out of the car. The flaming portal near him seemed a non-option. his only choice was to go up. He would try to move up, through the door nearest him. Xailah

Xailah tried to hold onto Schrödinger, only he was very heavy and in the midst of a disaster not very lazy. The cat would let out a HISS and a yowl that even the metamorphmagus would not be certain was possible. He would be lost in the commotion, hurled outside the train through the flames.

There is a saying about cats landing on their feet. Schrödinger was there to prove such was not always true, landing squarely on his large rump. The big lump of grey would resemble a very chunky flying squirrel in the midst of the explosion. He would land in the snow a few dozen meters from the crash. Fire singed fur, he smelled like a pack a day habit smoker. Ultimately the fat cat was ok, but he was also curious and lost. He would know one thing for certain. They were supposed to be moving in the direction of the train, the very train that was continuing to move on without them. His tail with swish with agitation.

It was far too cold outside.

Inside poor Xailah would search for her cat. Schrödinger was far from elusive but his mistress would first search inside. She would find several grey items, mostly clothes which were for too small to resemble the glorious Schrödinger as well as a few suitcases that would have been insulting mistaken the feline for.

The unsung hero Schrödinger would watch the train disappear over the horizon. It was impossible for the conductor to fail to notice such a raucous explosion, powerful enough to rip a car away. Schrödinger would do what he must in a time like this. A lazily, slightly limping gait he would amble towards the still burning train. His mistress was inside. He must find her, tell her where the rest of the train had gone.

He would crouch low, his tail would swish once again as he calculated the trajectory.

The damned train moved (it had not), Schrödinger would not be deterred even by a cheating locomotive and try once again. This time successful, he would find his Mistress and let out a long lazy-sounding Meow choosing to explain everything before he gave her his greatest and most powerful boon - himself. A third, and final bounding leap he would try to hand in her arms, knowing fully that his presence was what gave his mistress her power.

A large piece of luggage on top of her that she would immediately discard. @Alan Vanes, still sloppy from regurgitated slugs would survive the tumbling train and the bandit raid, but one important thing was missing: Tiger, his cat. Griseldis was apparently luckier. He would look around for his feline companion. Poor Tiger fell through the door that was knocked open during the chaos and back into the compartment that they once shared.

The cat was able to voice being flung from the car, something Alan could be silently grateful for this. At first he would not see Tiger. Tiger was not in Alan's immediate vicinity. But rather in the room below. It would be a sad, confused and yes... distress "mew?" That echoed from below that would alert Alan to Tiger's presence.

Alan would learn the truth soon thereafter. Below him, in the car, its little needle-like nails embedded in the plush cushions of the seat, Tiger was standing vertical as if they were climbing drapes.

Opeila somehow got to her feet and from the corner of her eye she could see that also Loras was still at her side, unhurt. Slowly, carefully she walked towards the exit and out of the train, trying not to fall again. There he was, out in the snow, blood staining it red and... black...
Opeila hesitated for a moment. Who cared. She would wonder about the colour later. If there was one thing the second year had, it was a strong sense of fairness. Not as much as Jack, who needed everything repaid like her would repay everything, but in this situation...

Opeila dropped on her knees next to the unconscious boy. The vibration when she landed on the ground made her head feel like someone stuck a knife to it and for a few seconds Opeila only sat there, here eyes pressed shut, a painful expression on her face. Waiting for the pain to fade.
And eventually it did. It didn't disappear, but Opeila could bare it again. She quickly put her wand back into it's former hiding place.

Now the Slytherin thanked the stars for feeling cold earlier. She had been wearing Flash's coat on the train and now it was incredibly useful. Quickly she took it off. It took her a moment to lift Vladimir off the ground for long enough so she could wrap it around him. The snow would get through his sweater in no time, probably did so already and Opeila could still go on like this for a while.
Once she managed it, the Slytherin exhaled deeply and placed her hands on her knees for a moment to support her own weight. She was exhausted.

...And she just ruined her trousers. And the bracelet. Both were stained with red and black blood, but Opeila didn't really care right now. She looked at Vladimir for a moment. "You absolute idiot.", she told his body, before she started to close the coat. Finally she placed Vladimir's head on her legs. Keep him warm until they got help from the castle. She was no doctor, but this had to work, right?"Now don't you die here, you hear me? Don't you dare." The cold air helped clearing her head a little. The smoke was gone and she wasn't blinded anymore.

Having taken care of Vladimir, she turned around to look at her peers who were stumbling out of the train. Was Gris among them? Where was Marshal? Suddenly Opeila had a terrible feeling. She wanted to take care of Marshal and instead she ran away. If he got hurt- Could she have prevented it from happening if she had stayed with him?

Oh God, Piérre hoped that he had been heard. The poor boy was just barely clinging to consciousness, his world swimming in and out of reality. He was shaking so badly he could hardly bring himself to stand straight.

Perhaps that was why he didn’t notice the dangers of simply climbing out of the car by opening a door upwards on a tipped car. Perhaps that was why he couldn’t register that three suitcases were falling down and on top of him, and perhaps that was why his typical carnivalesque agility had failed him. Concussed, unbalanced, frightened, shaking, and bleeding rapidly, there was a tiny complaint from the Britalian as he tugged the door open and received a suitcase to the nose for his troubles.

CRUNCH

Broken nose for sure. Perhaps he would be losing the last of his baby teeth today. Any way you sliced it, the second suitcase one he managed to slip away from, but the third caught him in the chest, pummeling him to the ground: but not before he hit his head on the way down.

Thankfully, the boy would be blissfully unaware as his ragdoll body of a mere 106lbs would crumple to the ground without a word. The world doubled, tripled, brightened, spun, and then dimmed as the throbbing of his heartbeat echoed in his mind, the light pulsing of blood encouraging Piérre to sleep. This was not unlike when he had been concussed just last year by hitting his head on the bed frame of a Hospital Wing’s bed... but it was a good deal more peaceful. He hadn’t nearly experienced enough trauma this go around to enter a disturbed or frightened sleep.

There was an out-of-body experience, and for a second, Piérre swore he saw his tiny broken body hidden beneath suitcases, barely breathing as his chest rose and fell. He couldn’t see anyone else... there was tunnel vision which caused him to become sick to his stomach...

And then blissful dark consumed him.

Valentine was shaken by the fire that had spread across his clothes, though more from surprise than actual pain. He hadn't expected this outcome that made his own efforts all but useless. In a frantic scurry that seemed to compromise his earlier composure, he muttered the incantation for the Extinguishing charm and performed a self-cast.
Actions for this Round:

Casting Extinguo on Self.
As (if?) the flames went out, a sudden coldness assailed him, one that was previously unnoticed due to the hot streams of blood flowing down his hands, followed by the excruciating bite of fire. He had always been under the impression that pain could dull out all other senses, but this turned out to be a myth. The physical pain he felt only seemed to amplify his vulnerability to all other sources that sought to weaken him. Amid the harsh punishment of the weather, Valentine shivered involuntarily.

Standing out in the open was a bad idea. The bitter winds easily pierced through the holes in his tattered robes. But lying down on the ground was even worse; too much surface contact with frozen soil would cause the water to seep into his clothes. His gaze immediately found itself on Marshal, who wouldn't survive fifteen minutes under these conditions, assuming he was still alive.

"Hey! Can you hear me?!" he exclaimed once again, his concern growing when he received no response after two consecutive attempts. The cold was starting to get to him, but as he could only reasonably execute one action per post, he'd have to wait until the next one before getting warm. Sorry, Jackson.

A side effect of this, however, was twofold. First, the explosiveness of his initial Lumos spell would likely have burned over the exposed tissue, stopping the bleeding from the smaller blood vessels that were exposed. Second, the numbing cold against his exposed wounds would have an equal likelihood of constricting his blood vessels, thereby allowing them to clot more easily.
Environmental Effects(?)

Environmental factors result in a stoppage of the bleeding.

(Trying my luck here 😭)

Everly was not a fan of weird cowboys and exploding traincars.

Spells and yells came from every direction, and the first year froze for a moment, bewildered and confused. Realizing that she was making herself an easy target for any opposing cowboy people, she began to move and try to evade the spells that were flying around, only to be thrown back by the explosion and fire, crashing into the suitcases. Managing to dodge the ones that were spilling and falling, she breathed a sigh of relief, but almost exactly at that moment the car would tip and she would crash into a body [Piérre] that she couldn't recognize, blinded by the light of another spell. Groping desperately for something that assured herself that she was still alive, blinking spots out of her vision, she tried to grasp a hold on what was going on.

Fire. The door was aflame.

Everly's grip became iron, either out of fright or the dangerously close heat, grabbing on so she wouldn't slip. The car was rolling, and Everly's mind spun, wondering if this was the moment she would die.

Was that... snow? She could feel the cold, wet texture and shivered. What was going on? From the shapes in her vision, the car had stopped, and there were bodies that had been crushed by the car. A voice urged her to start moving towards the exit, and she tried to judge where it was, moving sluggishly towards what she had decided was the exit. The snow was cold and wet, and her vision back, she tried to figure out what was going on. Blood and bodies, the car on its side, she hurried over towards them. Three of them, bloodied and bruised, one managing to crawl out from under the car, the other two crushed under the weight. One was the snobby, mean third-year [Elena] she'd encountered in the library, the other two she didn't recognize.

"Are you three alright?" she asked, her hearing fuzzy and her voice shaky. Her breathing was heavy and tired, but there was still the hint of concern in her voice.

"What... just... happpened..." she muttered to herself, closing her eyes, heart pounding.
