On a cold night in December, Liam Di Vanily and Elizabeth Di Vanily gave life to their beautiful baby vampire, Camille Di Vanily. She was their monstrous vampire who would do great things. Camille Di Vanily always stayed at the Di Vanily Mansion, not because she wanted to; she was forced to stay there for her ” own safety ”. Liam Di Vanily and Elizabeth Di Vanily always fed lies about how horrible the outside world truly is. The only thing Camille Di Vanily saw was the vampire community she lived in from the balcony; well, that was horrible, and that also matched Liam’s description, so she believed it. Despite everything Liam and Elizabeth said about the outside world, Camille didn’t put her hopes down. Every night after their hunt for food, Camille tried to reason with Liam and Elizabeth, but it was of no use; they would use Camille against herself to scare her further. She got so scared she locked herself in a bedroom and cried all night, and according to Elizabeth, that is how a good lady has to be. Ever since, Camille Di Vanily wanted to see her own Mansion in ruins and leave this horrible place once and for all. Whenever a Di Vanily turns eighteen, they get to have their first hunt. When Camille turned eighteen, she found out the horrifying truth: the victim was already chosen days before her birthday. She went out ” to hunt “, but she fled away, living among the human world. Five years later, at the age of 23, while roaming in the dark Knockturn Alley, she stumbled upon a wizard with the name of Kristen Blair. He had dark, silky hair, big grey eyes, and a wonderful smile. Kristen loved Camille, and they decided to get married. Camille Di Vanily told Kristen about her vampire heritage, and Kristen didn't mind. The news had spread: "A Human married a Vampire". People spread various rumors. A few years had passed, and on 20th July 1981, Damion Blair was born; he possessed vampire-like features, but he wasn't a vampire. He was a dhampir. The rumours about the Blairs got more and more horrible, and Camille couldn't take it anymore. One night, she decided to leave. Camille Di Vanily, the person Kristen truly loved with all his heart, is now nowhere to be seen. Kristen became distant with everyone except Damion; he was the only thing or person that reminded him of Camille. When Damion turned eleven, he went to Hogwarts and got sorted into Slytherin. He fell in love with a French Ravenclaw girl named Isabeau Beamount. After graduating, they got married, and on 24th August 2015, they gave birth to Mavis Blair. Mavis also inherited the traits of a dhampir: retractable fangs, sharper fingernails, and a weakness to sunlight. Though these traits overwhelmed her during the early years of her life, she is still adapting. She doesn't see herself as different from others; rather, she calls herself unique and that makes her special.

The Blairs were renowned astronomers from the highlands of Edinburgh, Scotland. Their family motto Per Astra Veritas ("Through the Stars, Truth"). They are known as a very influential family. Kristen Blair (Mavis’s Paternal Grandfather) married a Vampire (Camille Di Vanily), which resulted in the mixing of vampire blood into their prestigious pure-blood line. Mavis Blair, the heir of the Blairs, is a Dhampir (25% Vampire). Her father, Damion Blair, was a Slytherin during his time at Hogwarts. He is a Dhampir (50% Vampire) with a lesser range of human blood compared to Mavis. Mavis is extremely close with Damion as he is also a Dhampir. Her mother is Isabeau Blair (nee Beaumont), who was a Ravenclaw when she first attended Hogwarts. She is from France. Her family had to move to England because of political reasons. She is a full pure-blooded human, which resulted in Mavis’s increase in human blood ratio. Mavis is extremely claustrophobic; she became aware of her fear when she got stuck in a broom closet, which also resulted in her First Instance of Magic. So, she’s also seen sitting near the exit of a class or near a window to feel better. She’s always seen wearing a dagger chain (a symbol of their heritage) and a black umbrella to protect herself from the sun. She is not interested in sports like Quidditch or Broom Racing, but she is a rather gifted duellist, and she’s trying to get on the Hufflepuff Duelling Team. If Hogwarts expects Mavis Blair to act like a Blair, they are very wrong at that point.

When Mavis was exploring the Blairs’ Mansion at the age of 7, she entered a tiny broom closet, and the door immediately closed behind her. She panicked, and she slammed the door harder and harder, but no one heard her cries for help. She gave up after a long 15 minutes, weeping in the same closet she got stuck in, and the door opened by itself.

- Please clarify a little more on the blood status of Mavis' family, it's a little unclear who in her family is a damphir, and what their blood statuses are before that?
- How/why did he not know he married a damphir?
- Your damphir application focuses more her paternal family than Mavis, please add some more information about Mavis being a damphir rather than her family in this section.

Xinyue’s mother Li Xiuying, was born into a Chinese muggle family that relocated to London because of her father’s job. While her late parents sent their only daughter to Hogwarts after she received her letter, they started growing distant due to their fear of magic. This continued over the years until the distance between them finally became impossible to bridge. As such, Xiuying started looking for closer connections within the halls of Hogwarts caste. Soon, she fell in love with a pure-blood classmate Zhang Yuchen, bonding over their shared heritage and love for magic. Their relationship endured long after graduation, even after Xiuying’s parents passed away, Yuchen remained by her side, promising to take care of her in their stead. Then, Xiuying got pregnant and Yuchen abandoned her without a moment of hesitation, taking all his financial support with him.

Being alone young and pregnant, her mother struggled to make ends meet. It only got worse once Xinyue was born. Eventually, unable to pay rent, she and her one-year-old daughter found themselves homeless. It was there, on a rain soaked London street that Richard Hayes found them. It was not love at first sight but a beautiful companionship, born of loneliness and mutual understanding. And so Xinyue gained a new family.

Her stepfather is a career soldier. Stern and struggling to show emotions but never failing to provide for those under his care. Years ago, he lost his wife when she died giving birth to his second son. Since then, he had been raising his two sons (James and Nathan) alone. Richard is a rational and practical man that can't cope well with things he doesn't understand so when he found out about Xiuying being a witch, he didn't take it well. He wasn’t angry with her but it was painfully clear how uncomfortable it made him feel. Due to this, Xiuying never used magic around him and his sons and Xinyue practically grew up as an ordinary muggle child.

Tragically, when Xinyue was only four years old, her mother was killed in a hit-and-run accident. Xiuying never spoke about Xinyue’s biological father and didn’t even put him on her baby’s birth certificate so once left behind, Richard became Xinyue’s legal guardian, while James and Nathan did their best to help raise her.

All three men love Xinyue in their own way but undoubtedly struggle to raise her. Richard is often gone due to his job and the two brothers felt the woman presence in their household only briefly before loss claimed her. None of them is truly equipped with a sufficient knowledge on how to raise a little girl. Due to this Xinyue continuously struggles to understand how to behave or make friends with other girls, too awkward and borderline scared to approach them.

First Instance of Magic:

When Xinyue was three years old Xiuying, who had spent years suppressing her magic for the sake of Richard and his sons, secretly experimented with some spells at night. Her daughter was awoken by the noises and went to look for her mother. Unfortunately, she had managed to startle the woman enough for one of her spells to backfire and hit her daughter in the head. The little Xinyue lost consciousness but didn’t seem to have any issues after waking up. Unbeknownst to anyone, a hidden condition started brewing as a result of the backfired spell. At nine years old, Xinyue, who had already occasionally suffered from minor headaches that appeared after her mother's death (likely accelerated by her mental state at the time), began suffering from intense migraines accompanied by vivid auras. Since the condition was caused by magic without anyone knowing, the muggle doctors misdiagnosed her with regular migraines. It was the first intense migraine eventually led towards her first accidental experience with magic. When the crushing pain overwhelmed her, every light around her suddenly went out, without anyone ever touching a switch. The boys were beyond confused but their father guessed what might be happening. This was later confirmed, when Xinyue got her letter from Hogwarts.

Character Statistics: Stamina 6 | Evasion 4 | Strength 1 | Wisdom 9 | Arcane Power 7 | Accuracy 8
Character Special Race/Talent: Excruciatingly human
Character Backstory: Ambrose Leopold Donnovan was born into a pure-blood wizarding family. Like any other family that obsessively kept its blood free of muggle heritage, his relatives were obsessive in other parts of life as well. Chief among these was work. After dynasties of hard toil, and perhaps a hint of the proceeds of crime — though those are only the supposed rumours — the Donnovans had amassed a fortune that would last for generations, without the need for them ever to work again. However, his parents were undeniable workaholics, creatives too passionate about their craft ever to take a break from it or accept that they had already secured themselves deep pockets that would last for ages.
His parents were rarely present in his childhood, too busy with their work. He was surrounded instead by maids and governesses, professors and coaches, who tried their very best to make him a commendable young man and failed spectacularly, because a child like Ambrose was far beyond their help. Despite the teachings and lessons that had been planned from the moment Ambrose first uttered a word or showed any understanding of the world, all the way up to his seventeenth birthday, he still spent most of his individual time with books. As if the hours he spent every day at a desk in the library were not enough, he developed a deep appreciation for arrogantly intricate literature, the sort of curiosities that drew disgusted grimaces or averted gazes from others. Whenever he discovered something of that kind, he would venture into it head first. Before long, the residence’s library became the boy’s sanctuary.
He was always certain of his future at Hogwarts, even though it was not confirmed until he received his letter. As in many other situations in his life, he believed events would turn out in his favour. He longed for the time when he could withdraw from society under the pretext of earning good grades, and completely submerge himself in knowledge.
First Instance of Magic: His first instance of magic happened when he was nine years old, at the Donnovan residence in London. One night he had been watching the woods outside their house in the middle of the night because he was restless. He heard a maid approach the room. He was disappointed, mentally preparing himself for a hushed scolding and a bitter sleep later that night, but when she opened the door she seemed not to notice his silhouette lounging on the windowsill, looking over the estate. When he looked at his reflection in the window, he swore it was missing. The maid left, going back, he guessed, to smoke in the kitchen and bad-mouth his family, probably assuming that the lump of sheets he had left in the bed was him.

Character Backstory:
Jo was born on a chilly winter morning, the only child of wizarding parents Jonathan and Caroline Byrne.

Despite significant overlap in their time at Hogwarts, being a couple of years apart and in different houses (Ravenclaw and Slytherin, respectively) meant Jonathan and Caroline never had much reason to speak to each other. That is, until they both took up positions on Gringotts' curse-breaking team, whereupon they discovered that they rather enjoyed each other's work. They eventually left Gringotts to form their own business in the lucrative sector of magical security consulting. Soon, they'd amassed a significant clientele of wealthy and paranoid wizards who were willing to pay them quite a lot of money to keep their property well-protected, or even secreted away. (Whether the property in question was strictly legal was never really any of their concern.) Working closely led to falling in love and marriage, and they put some of their wealth towards a large property a few hours from Kenmare, where Jonathan had been born and where his parents still lived at the time.

While their job is more than enough to keep the family in comfort, it demands long hours, often at strange times. This means that, growing up, Jo has often spent most of her time in the care of her grandfather Leo--Caroline's father--an eccentric man who'd once worked for the ministry as an unspeakable, now retired, and who moved in to help when she was born, and who handled her early education.

Though she often sees her cousins on her father's side and is forced to spend time with the children of her parents' business associates, Jo doesn't have a lot of friends her age; and with no siblings, she has become quite adept at entertaining herself. She's become an avid reader of fiction and loves dreaming up grand adventures as she explores the woody area surrounding their house, many of them inspired by the long stories of the first and second wizarding war that her granda often regales her with, as well as what information she can glean from her parents' jobs.

Lately, as the date she expects to receive her Hogwarts letter draws ever closer, her daydreams have become more concerned with what Hogwarts will be like and what she will do once she's graduated. Her paternal grandfather passed away from a stroke when she was eight and her dad inherited, among other odds and ends, the man's collection of muggle spy novels, which Jo has become a bit obsessed with. She's convinced she can eventually become a magical spy and is literally counting down the days 'til she can test her magical mettle and her ability to find out things she shouldn't in a more exciting setting.

First Instance of Magic:
The very first time she exhibited any magical ability happened when she was seven years old. Her father had floo'd into the house looking rather harried, with an angry-looking man in tow. He immediately bid her not to disturb them, as he led the man to his private office. Jo lost no time in posting herself at the closed door, pressing her ear against it, trying her best to make out what they were saying. She must've made some noise, because her dad immediately came to check the door, but she was so intent on making out every syllable, that she failed to notice his footsteps, drawing near. When the door opened, she froze, expecting to get shouted at, but her dad acted as if she wasn't there. He even called out her name, like she couldn't see her at all. It took her a few seconds to realise what had happened, but well, when she did, she had to excitedly announce that she'd performed magic, of course, which immediately shattered the illusion. She was grounded for months.

Mom and Dad are colombian inmigrants who moved to England with some great job opportunities, Dad became a gym teacher at the local school and Mom a connoisseur for both muggles and wizards, being versed in the art of bureaucracy and extremely good with people.
Lin was born and raised in England with two sisters, being the middle child between them. Dad is a muggle who used to be a teacher but also did woodwork back home, after moving and getting much more in touch with the wizardry world he picked up a side hustle as a wand costumizer, helping mom's friends to add handles, gems and all sorts of carvings into their wands, but eventually word spread beyond the little circle. He even added a little Moonstone to Lin's wand before she parted to Hogwarts for her first year.
And then Mom, she is a witch from a long line of rural witches, having to stay hiden back home and being just as careful now, even if she found her own circle of friends in the new country.
With it, Lin grew up surrounded by both muggle and wizard friends, yet magic was a very secondary part of her live, considering the chaos they got up to every day without it.
Shenever quite got to experience Colombia as her home but they travaled there often as she was growing up, yet adapting to England was easy when she discovered how close her house was from forest, creeks and unsupervised rural areas, and they sure made the best out of it in the few years she spend there before finally being sent to Hogwarts.
She got herself a good group of 5 friends, all muggles and around the same age, but magic was never necessary as they became adventurers around the whole town, up to the point if being known as "The Crew", mostly because of how much of a mess they could make in seconds, but they were good kids nonetheless.

Despite being around magic quite often, no one on the family appart from mom seemed magical until Lin's FIOM at the very late age of 9. The day it happened, Lin and her mom were on the way to school, walking with raincoats on during a very misty morning and skipping along the way. All was good until, crossing the street, a very quick and heavy truck went headed their way, soon to hit them when a loud scream and the sound of metal being crushed filled the street. When both of them opened their eyes, the truck was wrapped around them like it hit a ball. It sure took a long time explaining it to the Ministry when they came to fix the mess, mom helped with the clean up and that day the news say the truck lost control and hit a pole, Lin got taken for ice cream and got to skip class that day, "for the fright" said mom, but she was simply too excited.

It is a true testimony of trust when one marries a vampire. Laoise MacDermott can vouch for this. When she met Fintan O'Connor, a warm summer night in the city of London, the year 2010, she knew something was not entirely right. He was not a wizard, that was for certain, but he was not exactly a muggle. The sun had only just set when they had bumped into each other; Laoise returning to her family's vacation home, Fintan looking ready for a night in the city. There was no real reason to stay for a conversation. An apology and moving on would suffice, but they had recognised each other's accents as Irish, and as Irish people tend to do — especially in another country — they introduced themselves. Laoise's family would certainly not approve of her conversing with a man who did not appear to be magical, but there was something about him that intrigued her, and she had always been one to follow her curiosity; she had been a Ravenclaw, after all.

They agreed to meet up the next night for a drink. A dingy bar overran by muggles, yet another thing the MacDermotts would not approve of, where the drink was cheap and there was at least a semblance of privacy. They talked about everything and nothing, hitting it off incredibly well. So well that she never seemed to notice he always tended to hide from the light, sinking into the shadows so she would only catch occasional glimpses of his pale skin. He never seemed to smile, either. At the time, this did not strike Laoise as entirely odd (maybe he was just insecure?) and it was not until a few months later did the secret come out: Fintan O'Connor was a vampire.

When Laoise returned to Ireland before Fintan, they kept in contact via letters. Secretly, of course. Laoise lived in Dublin with her family, whilst Fintan lived in Cork with his. One day, after they had grown to like and trust each other, Fintan told Laoise the truth. In his letter, he explained that he did not intend to keep his vampirism a secret for so long, but he had been wary given the natural inclination of wizarding society to fear vampires. The O'Connors, many generations ago, used to be just an ordinary muggle family residing in Cork. It was not until four generations ago did vampirism enter the family via Aindriú O'Connor, who had a wild fascination with the vampire species. Of course, as a muggle, he was not aware that vampires actually existed; he had only heard of them through folklore. That is, until he one day came face to face with one. Éala, a living vampire, did not scare him, as she had expected to. Instead, Aindriú was revered by her, almost to the point of obsession. Somehow, they fell in love, and as an act of trust between the two, she performed the ritual to turn Aindriú into a vampire. It was successful, and thus the O'Connor family became a vampire coven.

They had integrated themselves well into vampire society after many years, starting with the efforts of Aindriú and Éala, and would be known as quite a respected vampire coven. Most of the O'Connors currently reside in a seemingly abandoned castle somewhere in Cork, far enough away from civilisation to not cause a scare. Anyone who happened to pass by the castle would more than likely assume it is an abandoned ruin, lost to time.

After finding this out, Laoise did not run scared. She did not scream in fear. Instead, she accepted it with grace. She already knew who he was as a person; the general opinion of vampires didn't matter to her. She thanked Fintan for trusting her, and despite knowing that this relationship would lead to her family disowning her, she stayed. They started to meet up secretly, in small towns between Dublin and Cork so both their families would be none the wiser. It was not until the spring of 2014 did the time to tell their families come around — when Laoise found out she was pregnant. Perhaps they had been too foolish. They were only in their mid 20s after all, and love can make people do foolish things. They had not fully prepared for this possibility, but had to accept it.

Both families had the expected reaction to their relationship. The MacDermotts were furious that Laoise not only went behind their back, but fell in love with a vampire of all things. A muggle would be bad enough, but Laoise seemed determined to exceed even that. They tried to demand Laoise cut off the relationship immediately and hope to any higher being that the child would not turn out like their father, but Laoise did not listen. The O'Connors, on the other hand, disapproved of Fintan falling in love with a human, because they were afraid the child would turn out to be a dhampir. It was not necessarily that they disliked Laoise, though they were wary of her. A vampire and a human could never produce a full vampire, and dhampirs were not commonly respected in vampiric society. At least there was one thing both families could agree on: they did not want the child to turn out a dhampir.

Despite protests from both families, Laoise and Fintan refused to part from each other. The road ahead would be tough, but they were determined to make it through. Even if that meant saying goodbye to the people who raised them. Knowing that neither family would come around easily, they took it upon themselves to move far away from the both of them, choosing to settle near the rural town of Clifden, in County Galway. It was beautiful and quiet, a hopefully perfect place to raise a child.

Before Laoise left her family home, her mother set her down to discuss an agreement reached between the family. If the child did turn out to be a dhampir, they would allow Laoise to bestow the MacDermott name onto her child for 'damage control', if the child were to attend Hogwarts and engage in wizarding society in the future. This would only be allowed if Laoise promised not to contact her family again, or try to make use of the wealth in their Gringotts vaults. Now, it is not that the O'Connors are necessarily infamous, and the average wizard likely would not know of them or that they were vampires, but they have been around for generations, and there is always a chance that someone, somewhere has heard rumours. Laoise agreed, understanding that this option would be best for her future child to not receive potential disdain from wizarding society.

Shortly before Caitríona was born, Laoise and Fintan eloped in a private ceremony at home, and soon after welcomed Caitríona to the world. Unfortunately, it was apparent almost immediately that what they were fearing did indeed come true: their daughter was a dhampir. Her unnaturally pale skin, almost exactly like her father's, is what gave it away. It became more apparent as Caitríona grew older. Gaps where canines should've been made room for fangs that appeared when she was hungry, angry, upset or otherwise emotional. Tears that appeared red whenever she cried, fingernails that were sharper and stronger than her mother's — there was no denying it. Her parents did not want her to be ashamed of this. Sure, she was only here because her mother had fallen in love with a vampire. She was still a person, after all. But Caitríona noticed it in the way they looked at her, even when she was young and seemingly unaware of such things. Their eyes held a mixture of sadness, guilt, and love. They still loved her, of course they did. But she could not mention being a dhampir to anyone, that was important. She shouldn't mention what her father is, or what she is. Her surname is her mother's, not her father's, to protect her. People know and respect the MacDermott family, so she must keep her dhampir side hidden. It was the only way wizarding society would accept her. Vampiric society would never accept her.

So, she learnt to be ashamed of her dhampir side. She grew up hiding it, feeling disgust towards what she was. The shame bled into resentment towards her father, eventually. It was his fault she was like this, yet he is teaching her to be ashamed. He is teaching her to hide, and it is all his fault. Caitríona MacDermott is not a dhampir, for those wondering. Why would she be?

Caitríona MacDermott was born early on the 1st March 2015 at 3:29am. For an early spring morning, the weather was unpredictable. Rain pattered softly yet steadily on the windows outside and dark clouds obscured the natural shine of the moon, leaving the streets dark bar the occasional yellow of a streetlight. Inside, the chilly night air creeped in as Laoise MacDermott and Fintan O'Connor welcomed their baby girl into the world.

Her childhood had been a rather lonely one, growing up an only child of a pureblood mother and a muggle father in a small cottage on the outskirts of the coastal town Clifden, County Galway. She did not have many friends during her early childhood, nor many children her own age whom she could talk to. Indeed, the young girl could count on one hand the amount of friends she had had, and most of them had been imaginary or inanimate. There had been a year where she'd received a pet snake for her birthday and lovingly named it Medusa, but it had concerningly went missing one day and had yet failed to return.

It was not the upbringing most purebloods would hope for their children; there were no social events, no parties, no family gatherings, and very little interaction with their few neighbours. They were quite isolated from the rest of the community, wizards and muggles alike. Caitríona MacDermott and her family may have been considered 'old money', and indeed there were vaults in Gringotts under the MacDermott name, but those vaults had been closed to Laoise MacDermott the moment she decided to marry Fintan O'Connor and move away from their family home.

Now, it was not as if her parents did not love her. They did. They tried very hard to give her as normal a childhood as they could manage. The location they chose to raise her in was beautiful yet secluded; the house was quaint yet cozy, and it had all the makings of a lovely family home. As her mother hailed from a traditionalist-leaning Irish pureblood family, keeping the Irish language and culture alive was incredibly important to them. Despite being estranged from the MacDermotts as a whole, it was one of the values Laoise wanted to keep and raise Caitríona with. This being so, Caitríona grew up speaking primarily Irish in her home, whilst still learning English as part of her homeschooling curricular.

The decision to homeschool Caitríona had been for the best. At first, they had debated the idea of potentially sending her to a muggle primary school in the hopes of at least giving her a sense of community and friendship, but this idea was short-lived when they realised it simply wouldn't work. Once Caitríona had come home in tears on what was otherwise a nice, sunny day, claiming that nobody wanted to talk to her and the other children had laughed at her for looking 'scary' and being 'weird', her parents knew homeschooling was the only option. From then, her parents gathered textbooks and school materials, both taking turns homeschooling Caitríona and teaching her all she would need to know for a good education.

When her Hogwarts letter arrived in the mail, it was a sort of bittersweet feeling. Hard to explain, almost. The possibility of this had been in the cards, and her parents were beyond delighted that they didn't need to worry about the 'what if' anymore, but for Caitríona... it did not spark such joy. It was more a mixture of trepidation and anger, for some reason. Perhaps it was because this would be her first experience at a school surrounded by other students, or because she did not exactly have a great track record for making friends or talking to people. Whatever the reason may be, Caitríona was not looking forward to starting her Hogwarts journey, and she was entering this upcoming school year with the awareness of someone being hunted for sport.

Despite being the daughter of a pureblood, there was always an inkling of fear that she would not turn out to be magical. Indeed, as she grew older and failed to show any signs of inherent magic, the idea of her not possessing her mother's magical abilities was something her parents had slowly begun to accept.

Then, a mere week before her eleventh birthday — something happened. It had been any normal day for Caitríona, and that meant she was in her room, curtains closed, writing in one of her many diaries. On this particular day, she had been scribbling so frantically hard on the paper that the tip of the quill snapped in half, blotting ink everywhere and staining the page; making the writing unreadable. It was not the first time something like this had occurred, but it annoyed Caitríona more than usual on this day.

She snapped the book closed and launched the quill across her room, landing with a clatter under her windowsill. It was not until many hours later, after she finished sulking cross-legged on her bed, that she went to pick the quill back up and noticed something... unusual. The quill tip was intact, and there was not even the slightest sign of it having been broken.

Caitríona had decided to not tell her parents what had occurred that day, even after she realised this was likely the type of instance they were waiting on. If she really was magical, they would find out when her Hogwarts letter came. If not, at least she wouldn't disappoint them.

Character backstory: Jonathan Story is an 11 year-old boy, his height is around 4 foot eight. He has dark brown hair that is usually messy and almost never neat. His eyes are hazel. Jonathan’s face is youthful, with a tiny scar on his forehead.

Jonathan is very curious and excited. He is good hearted and he has a strong sense of justice, he always stays optimistic and values loyalty and kindness.

Jonathan lived in a small village before he knew he had magical abilities. He has four siblings. His father is a school teacher and his mother is an artist.

First instance of magic: Jonathan’s first bit of accidental magic was when he was helping his mother in the garden. He was trying to reach for a flower that was just beyond his reach. When he tried to bend down and grab it, the flower started floating in the air. It flew around for a few seconds until it landed in his hand. His mom, who is a Muggle, was very terrified and so was Jonathan. They went to his dad, who they knew was a wizard and his dad told him that it was probably just a bit of wandless magic, and it was nothing to be afraid or worried of. Still, Jonathan was a bit scared. His dad tried to calm him down, but it was unsuccessful.

Character Backstory and first instance of magic:

Born in the city of Cork, Patrick had a less than ordinary upbringing compared to most kids. His parents, Donal and Aoife were musicians by trade and lived in a small apartment in the centre. They normally specialised in folk music, as well as a sprinkle of other genres that helped create a unique sound. Even though their talents were impressive, it still didn't bring in an awful lot of money.

Either way, it kept a roof over their head and that's all that mattered.

As he grew older, it wasn't no surprise that Patrick grew an interest in the arts. Not only did he listen to folk, but he also listened to most genres you could think of. If a song had the sound to take him to another world or tell a story, then it was almost certain he'd love it. Eventually, that would lead to him actually learning how to perform such songs.

In English, as well as his native tongue of Gaelic.

Pysically, Patrick looked a lot like his father than his mother. His hair was a light ginger colour and his faceial features bared similar resemblence. What he took from his mother was her light blue eyes and famous warm smile, something that became more clear overtime.

The persona he carried was more of a half and half split between his two. Donal was known to be a calm and approachable man, an individual who prided himself on respect for others. To say the least, he'd give the shirt off his back if it meant helping someone in need. Aoife was the more confident out the two with a wicked sense of humor. When it came to it she was also stern yet fair, always giving those who made a mistake a chance to redeem themselves. She was a woman many admired, none more so than her husband.

Those were the things that made Patrick into who he was today...

Although, there was one other thing that was going to reshape him and unknowingly his whole family... Magic

During one of the nights when he had just turned 10, they were in the middle of saying goodnight when a violin that had been left in his room began playing in the air. His parents were shocked, but to their surprise Patrick didn't even seemed bothered by it. It was very much a new thing for him to experience, but at the same time he felt oddly accustomed to the sight as if it were natural. The young boy had been seeing this happen multiple times the past few weeks, the first experience happening in this very room. He was busy doing homework one morning at his desk when the familar sound of the violin distracted him. At first, Patrick thought it was one of his parents testing his instrument. However, due to how bad it sounded he turned around to find the violin floating and playing by itself. All he could do was stare, his jaw almost hitting the floor. It was only when it gently fell on the bed did he snap out of his trance.

One thing was for sure though, he wasn't going to tell his parents what happened. Knowing them they'd find him mad or get worried there was a ghost!

Even though they were concerned, they reassured him there was nothing to worry about and told him they'd speak in the morning about what happened. Although, just when they were about to leave, three knocks were heard on the door.

When they answered, that's when their lives changed forever.

  • Please give us more information about Patrick's first instance of magic. The magic should be accidental—when did the violin first start playing on its own and what was Patrick's reaction?
  • Please make a trunk post in your encyclopedia. More information here.

Character Backstory:

I live with my non-magical father, who is a doctor, and my mother, who is a witch from an old and respected magical family. I also have a younger sister who is two years younger than me. We are very close and enjoy spending time together. I also have many good friends, and I like meeting new people and making new friends. My family always supports me and encourages me to do my best.
My hobbies are reading books, singing, dancing, and drawing. I enjoy these activities because they make me happy and help me be creative. I love reading different kinds of books and learning new things. Singing, dancing, and drawing are some of my favorite ways to spend my free time.
Even though I lived a normal Muggle life by going to school, studying, and doing everything like any other Muggle child, I was always interested in the magical world. My mother often told me stories about famous witches and wizards, magical creatures, and her life at Hogwarts. She also taught me to be kind, brave, and honest. Her stories made me excited about magic and inspired me to dream of studying at Hogwarts one day. I hope to learn many new spells, make good friends, and become a skilled witch who uses magic to help others and make my family proud.

When I was eight years old, I showed my first sign of magic. One evening, I was reading a very interesting book when suddenly the lights went out. My father said that a storm was coming. He and my mother left my younger sister and me in the hall while they went to look for a lighter.
I was sad because I wanted to keep reading. Suddenly, all the candles in the house lit up by themselves. My parents were surprised and quickly realized that the magic had come from me. That was the first time my magical powers were seen.

You'd like to change your nationality to Indian; can you please explain Penelope's nationality in the backstory? Are both of her parents Indian? Have they always lived in the UK? How did they meet, considering one is a muggle and one is a witch?
sorry for the inconvenience..I've decided not to make any changes because it was not related to my IC

Character Background
Reducio
Maheen comes from a traditional family of wizards living in Edinburgh. They believe that knowledge, traditions, and politeness are valued higher than social standing or money. In her early years, Maheen studied mostly at home, getting a great education both in magic and non-magic areas before coming to Hogwarts. Her tutoring included reading, writing, math, magical manners, and wizarding history.

Her father works in the Ministry of Magic under the Department of Magical Records and Archives, whereas her mother is a magical botanist whose expertise lies in growing Scottish magic plants. Her brother Oliver is 3 years older than she is. He goes to Hogwarts too. Like all brothers and sisters do, they fight a lot but love each other very much.

In her childhood, Maheen loved to read and draw pictures. She used to take strolls with her parents in Edinburgh and the countryside of Scotland, developing a passion for castles and tales of magic. Everything about Maheen's childhood was pleasant and peaceful. She had her close family and a circle of friends among nearby wizarding families. Instead of adventure, she preferred quiet reading or nature exploration.

At the age of four, Maheen was with her family in Holyrood Park when autumn had arrived. She was looking at a bunch of wildflowers when suddenly there was a gust of wind blowing leaves all around. She stepped back out of shock and surprise, and those leaves made a circle around her in a beautiful manner and then settled down on the floor near the flowers without touching them. It took only a few seconds, but it was enough for her parents to realize that her magic powers surfaced.
