Reyna awoke the next morning form her peaceful sleep not remembering the adventures of the previous day. The fact that she had found the mysterious quill that somehow connected her with a girl from Ilvermorny. A place across the ocean. Mysterious. However, Reyna hadn't remembered this incident until later that night she opened her bag to find a quill tucked under a piece of paper that wrote something she remembered she had not written. And then all of yesterdays events flooded back to her. She quickly scribbled a reply to the girl named Rose. Fair. It also means less time spent with my bestie and we don't get to be dormies. But I don't mind. It also gives us a chance to make other friends in our own houses. But being a dormie with my bestie would be nice. Below the first message was a second about animals this time. One that she didn't remember writing either. I agree! Although, I've never seen a Thestral, and I hope never to see one. But all animals are fascinating. She paused. She connected a ton with this mysterious girl. She hoped one day they could meet. One day we'll find each other, I hope, because I'd love to meet you and you're bestie. Maybe if you come to Hogwarts sometime. She really hoped so. This girl seemed really nice and they could surely connect on their love of animals. |

Kaya was having a busy day. She spent time with her friends and lessons and now finally got a moment for herself. Remembering there was a mysterious conversation going on, she opened her notebook to find new replies.
Oh, I agree. But you know, I'm pretty sure we still have some friends that the other one doesn't know yet. But I guess it's also fun like that. She paused, reading next words and thinking about her reply.
I hope you don't get to see this animal as I would never wish you to go through loss of someone with you witnessing it. They are not a type of animals that everyone will consider as beautiful, but I like them. She smiled sadly for a moment and returned to a happier smile quickly after that. She liked Thestrals and she was interested in the fact that those who didn't witness death couldn't see these animals.
It would be great. We're always coming for balls and summer games. Maybe we could meet in one of those times. Kaya thought about it for a while. It definitely could be great. To meet this girl who seemed to have a lot in common. Maybe they could be friends and discover more about each other. That could be great. Kaya didn't know much people from Hogwarts. Maybe this girl could be a new friend from that school.

It was a few days before Reyna actually got the chance to get back to Rose, the mysterious pen pal girl she had met through an enchanted quill and notebook. She found the replies scribbled from her last message and felt bad for taking such a long time to respond. Oh, totally! I think it's always good to have many different friends, but your bestie will always be your bestie. She then read the rest. Oh yes, I hope to never see one. Since you can see them, does that mean you lost someone significant? I'm so sorry and hope that you are doing okay. She never ever wanted to go through something like that, and made a prayer that she would hopefully never lose her family, and at least not anytime soon. Oh for sure! I don't know which one, but one of them maybe. Like some summer camp, I don't know haha! We will have to see when one comes up I guess. I hoped that we could be friends sometime in the future and bond. And maybe I could even meet her bestie, and she could meet mine! She grinned. A wonderful idea for sure. Some time passed and Kaya almost forgot about the mysterious quill. After all there were plenty of things to do. When the reply didn't come as fast as usual, she stopped waiting for it. After all maybe another girl wasn't interested in it anymore. However, she was cleaning notebooks from her bed and noticed new replies. It was a girl from Hogwarts. Someone she most likely didn't know yet. I totally agree. Bestie is someone much more dear and more constant.
What could she write else? She didn't have any ideas. Looking at the next reply, she paused before writing a reply. Yes. My grandfather on my mom's side. But it was some years ago, so now I just miss him.
Was she giving too much information? But that was fine. There was nothing much in it. They still didn't know a lot about each other.

Hogwarts. Visiting it was always bringing something new. Their balls seemed to be chaotic, but their summer camp seemed to be more calm. Kaya sighed. She wasn't sure what she preferred more. But certainly she was glad she didn't experience any chaos by herself yet. All she knew was coming from rumors.
