It seemed like everyone was in agreement on level of hunger, so when Dee asked, "Anyone want to go grab some food with me?" It was only appropriate that everyone fire back yes's, let's goes, and of courses. Sylvain simply nodded. His kebabs were probably finished and his stomach had started growling even with the reinforcing nourishment provided by the veggies and juice he'd snagged earlier. A loud grumble followed by a soft belch gave way to the shakiness that accompanied hunger, hunger that could only be satisfied by taking steps to get his food. Sylvain started towards the food as his friends talked about summer plans, but stopped each time a new topic started. Unwilling to lead the procession, and incapable of speaking up over them.
There it was, Chess combat being brought up again. Syl had heard of the event but missed his opportunity to sign up. This time though he let the topic slide, as the lad didn't want to repeat himself, or risk disappointing the others. A second wave of relief overcame him as Aida broached the topic of the summer cave. Sylvain's heart swelled at the thought of adventuring with his friends, but as it often did, his mind added doubt to the mix. Reservations keeping his question at bay with but a patch of wet forehead, Sylvain watched and listened as the others agreed almost entirely without hesitation to his surreptitious invitation. There were people who wanted to spend summer with him, and that was just all too much to wrap his head and heart around in this moment. Better he find something to eat before he had a panic attack.
Naturally that meant as Ileen was getting ready to take a picture, Sylvain was at his most uncomfortable. Impatiently, he waited while tapping his foot and pursing his lips. Letting his brain escape him while he awaited photographing, Sylvain thought of Ileen's upcoming birthday and what he might get her. The two had a fondness for books, perhaps he should get Miss Knight her own copy of The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection or even a copy of Bewitched Baking. For a moment, he thought to ask her, or even Dee, what might make a good gift, but decided that it'd be more meaningful to him if he decided what to get her on his own. As the camera would flash, Sylvain's thousand-yard-stare would slowly focus back in on the people less than five feet from him. However the rest of that picture turned out, the daydreamer was bound to look funny in it.
From the corner of his vision, Sylvain watched as a fresh plate of kebabs with chicken, onion, tomato and peppers on its skewers was added to the stack of outgoing dishes gathered around the line. There was no way to be sure it was his food without calling out to one of the teachers, who looked incredibly busy at this point so he wouldn't be doing that. Nervously he rubbed his hands together while purveying the plates around his to other BBQ goers within reach, hoping that someone else might recognize their dish and eliminate the choice in front of him. Uncertain as to whether or not the kebabs in front of him were his at first, Sylvain would then approach the plate looking for some kind of label only waiting a few minutes before accepting it to be his and taking a bite while attempting to try a little of each delight that had been skewered.
The chicken was tender, soft, but possessed the beautifully smoky flavor of mesquite. The tomato was juicy and ripe, bursting as he took a bite from it. The roasted skin provided a texture that gave it some extra interest to the normally soft fruit. The onions were charred on one side, raw on the other, giving a satisfactorily crisp bite to the generally chewy combination of nightshade, chicken and pepper. The peppers themselves added a subtle flavor that brought the whole kebab together, but didn't taste very well on their own so Sylvain elected to pick everything else off the skewer instead.
Turning back, a kebab being delicately cleaned of food, Sylvain looked at any of the friends that followed him. "Aida, tell me more about the cave." He slurped an onion back into his mouth and let the heat of the food escape into his palm as he waited for Aida to speak. With the other hand, he offered her his leftover grilled peppers.

Please ignore the girl, she looks nothing like LuciaVy- what?! Lucia gave up - why did everyone from other countries have to have such complicated names, for Merlin's sake!
"I think I'll stick with Slava," she decided with a half smile and a small laugh that seemed to clearly say something along the lines of, 'Sorry, I can't pronounce your name, and I'll embarrass myself utterly if I try. Sorry again.'
As Slava talked to Maksim in a language Lucia was yet to pinpoint, the girl looked at the fizzy drinks doubtfully, subconsciously nibbling the skin on her bottom lip. Lucia didn't usually have fizzy drinks, but maybe... Oh, what did it even matter? Taking the nearest can, the Hufflepuff tried - and utterly failed - to open the top. Oh, well done, Lucia, you've embarrassed yourself yet again, she thought to herself, but no-one seemed to have notice.
Slava finished talking to Maksim and turned back to her, speaking in broken English.
"Sure," Lucia agreed, and couldn't help sliding in, "At the celebration party, for Hufflepuff's victory?"
A tiny smirk crept onto her face as Slava left with a wave.
So, Lucia had drink, and she had food, but - the girl glanced down at the kebab still held in her left hand - it was raw still. She made her way to the 'barrelque', at the last moment hesitating and grabbing a burger as well, and a plate. What could she say? The rumble of her stomach certainly told her she was hungry!
A minute or so later, Lucia held a plate with a cooked kebab and burger on it, and a still unopened can of fizzy drink. She made her way back to the tables of food, where she helped herself to a bun to place her burger into, and couldn't resist adding a healthy dollop of ketchup.
Anyone who didn't like ketchup on their burgers was a wierdo, of that Lucia was sure. The fact was proved by her sister Briar, who was both a wierdo (though Lucia still loved her anyway, of course), and didn't like ketchup. Even though she did like tomatoes. Strange child.
please don't be offended if you don't like ketchup and like tomatoes lol, you're not wierd I promise xD
The soft tune of a guitar floated around the clearing, and Lucia turned to see her Head of House peacefully strumming the instrument, though Lucia had never imagined him to be the sort of person who would play a guitar.
After walking towards the newly-lit flames, Lucia sat down on a log facing the fire and started to eat her food. She balanced the plate on her knees, but left the - still unopened - can next to her right foot.
The sun was setting. It was turning out to be a beautiful evening.

Howard let out a long exhale as Serena quickly chatted with the group that had formed. He still wasn’t sure why he was so unsettled by her presence. It surely wasn’t because she was physically intimidating as he was much taller and undoubtedly stronger, but she had the effect all the same. Something about how her brunette braids fell around her high cheek bones and showcased those dark and dreamy eyes made his knees feel a bit weak. His sensitive nose would take in her essence and the fumes were intoxicating. Her voice was soft and rang like music to his ears. It was here and now that Howard would feel that little tug of the heart strings and plunging of the stomach that came with the strong and irrational emotions of a teenaged boy. Look...a pretty girl, she’s talking to you and being nice. All thought has escaped your mind. CRUSH
Howard’s eyes would fall from hers to a plate she was pushing into his hands. What’s this again? His mind would wonder as she agreed to his plan. “Let’s do what?” The boy asked in a stupor. Go make the burgers dummy...ya know...the plan you just came up with. “Oh! Right! Uh...after you.” He would let Serena make her way to the table of veg and condiments first. “Um, see ya around.” Howard called to the others before following. With hands that felt a bit like jelly, he added some fixings to his burger. Some lettuce, tomato, a slice of onion and mayo to round it all out. That’s how he used to eat them back home anyways.
The whoosh of flames and the crackling of burning wood would sound from behind them as Professor Browne lit the fire. “So...uh...nervous about the game?” Howard mumbled a bit as he attempted to converse.

The blonde noticed that he seemed to have an air of confidence around him, at least more than she had seen before. "I came to summer camp last year, but I didn't stay very long." Since she had only just come back to school, she figured she would stay for the full summer camp experience before heading home to finish preparing for her fourth year at Hogwarts. "Other than hanging out at camp, I don't have any plans. Maybe I'll get some Quidditch practice in. I heard there was going to be some sort of duel too if you wanted to sign up as well." Celestina peeked out at them from the basket but didn't seem to want to introduce herself just yet. Dymphna wasn't about to force her out. It seemed that there would still be time for her to meet Oliver though, as he suggested sitting together to finish their meals.
Dymphna didn't have much stacked on her plate, mostly fruits but she didn't mind a change of location. There were too many people around for her liking, but it wasn't so bad that she wanted to high tail it out of there back to the tent. She followed his finger, first to the disgusting couple that didn't know not everyone wanted to witness their PDA, then to the dark exit area and finally, a place where they could sit down and relax awhile. "That'll do," she replied briskly, hoping that her cheeks weren't tomato red from seeing the couple making out. Once they were finally settled, Celestina still in hiding, Dymphna munched on some of the fruit with her hand over her mouth as she spoke. "So, do you think Hufflepuff can beat Durmstrang?" Most if not all of the boys she knew were into Quidditch and since they were on the team together, it seemed the easiest topic to start with.

"Of course I am!" Callie finished off the final remains of her celery sticks with a rather satisfying crunch. "Celery sticks are great! Even if they kinda make me feel like a rabbit-" Callie let out a sharp gasp when she witnessed Eyre head straight for the dirt below and couldn't help but immediately grow concerned. The girl hadn't had much experience with Eyre yet seeing him get tripped over like that made her concerned for his welfare regardless...even if it was a little funny looking. It reminded Callie of some of the many slapstick comedy movies she had watched and watching people fall over never failed to amuse her. Callie barely managed to suppress a small laugh as she watched Eyre tumble towards the ground and almost immediately spun her head around to face Elias. "Of course we should go check on him, what a silly question! Man, you need to eat more celery sticks." She once again took Elias by the wrist and dragged him along to go and check on the boy although a brief stop at the snack table for even more celery sticks and a small gift for Eyre delayed their journey slightly.
Their brief stopped took much longer than intended thanks to the crowds and by the time they finally got around to checking up on Eyre he looked to be rather preoccupied with Rose. "He looks kind of busy..I don't wanna overwhelm the poor guy." Callie frowned, knowing that her nature could be a little overwhelming for people especially if they were injured. "Do you wanna go sit by the fire? We should probably leave Eyre and Rose alone...maybe we can check up on them later?" Callie offered with a smile whilst gesturing towards the fire. "Is that...is that a guitar?" She questioned whilst squinting at the fireside, trying to make out who was playing the instrument.

Aida grouped up for the photograph, but failed to actually obtain any food at the barbecue. Instead, the white ghost of a girl began to stare distantly into the horizon. She had hardly been able to get any sleep since leaving Hogwarts because her one refuge from the nightmares, the Room of Requirement, was now stripped from her. Yet, just as she had a biological need to eat, she also severely needed to pay the sandman his due.
"Aida, tell me more about the cave," said Sylvain… but Aida was already half a world away, re-entering an insomniac trance where spoken words were merely suggestions for her uncontrolled and wandering imagination. Yet, she felt eyes on her and she looked up to see the boy addressing her. She stared at him for a minute, on the verge of having a thought about him. Some kind of important thought. Yet, everything had grown so hazy and dim. She needed to find a place to lie down or else she would fall on her face.
With an apology, Aida looked at Sylvain and then the rest of the group. Her hand reached up to her heart and she quietly said that she had to go. She gave her friends a small bow before turning away. Aida did not know where she would go, but wherever that place would be, it was certain to be horizontal.

He could not enjoy it for long, having finally said it out loud what his actual reason to be here was; clearly it had been to babysit the girl because why else would he have gone to here? His parents had been worried to send his underaged sister to travel alone to a big country with a foreign language nonetheless, so of course as a big brother he had been assigned with the task to go watch over her. But Ella [@Thomas Lestrange] was not all too happy with the exposure of this fact, countering with his nickname which made the older brother narrow his eyes at the curly brunette.
A small sigh escaped his lips as he watched Greta's [@Evelynn Decipio] anxiety rise. He could almost feel sorry for her and the fact that she could not understand most of what was being said. He knew she did not speak English but why would she go to England if she did not speak the language? [In Swedish] "If they were, they would no longer be laughing and joking around," he muttered, perhaps a little grimly. He wouldn't let anyone make fun of him and if, he wouldn't care how many professors were around to witness him performing some underage magic but he would curse each and every one of the students who had tried to turn him into a laughing stock. Ella for sure would know that he was not joking around and Greta possibly knew as well, since his reputation tended to be ahead of him with how much he got into trouble for duelling other students in the hallway. If they were graded based on how social they were, it possibly would be the only class Nichlas would ever fail.
He got his finished burger back eventually, finally being able to stack the ingredients and took a lazy look around as he turned to Ella and Greta. [In Swedish] "Where do you guys want to sit?" he would ask the two of them, mostly directed towards Ella as she was his sister, but Greta was welcome to join them. He would furthermore nod towards the dhampir and the little goblin girl, @Howard White and @Serena Towers. [In English] "Would you two want to join us at a table?" he would ask in his thick swedish accent, his voice sounding indifferent. He actually would not mind whether they would take the offer or decline it, he was merely trying to upkeep his families reputation.

Serena blinked for a moment as the taller Hufflepuff questioned what they were doing. Nerves surging through her as she wondered if she completely misunderstood something, given that... she was agreeing to what she thought was his plan - right? What was even happening? This whole conversation was a bundle of mess. Oh for Merlin's sake, she should have just eaten her burger in the corner, by herself and ignored everyone else. It would have been so much less embarrassing than whatever this mess was. The only breath of relief she received was when he seemed to catch on, figuring out what she was talking about. Confirming that, at the very least, she did not make up the entire plan in her head.
Nodding, as the look of relief fell on her face, she led the way over to the table. It was only at this point that she actually grabbed the buns for herself, she pretty much only had a patty and some grilled vegetables on her plate at this point. It took her a little while to actually see where things were and figure out what she wanted on her burger. Glancing over her shoulder as she heard the sound of an instrument being played, she spotted the campfire that her head of house had set up. Serena glanced back as she heard a mumble, "Oh... Uh..." She paused for a moment.
Her mother would always tell her to act strong, brave and never tell someone when you were vulnerable or weak. Admitting to be nervous was not something her mother would approve of. But she was scared. This was the biggest game she was going to play - perhaps the biggest she might ever play. It was a nerve wrecking thought. Being a seeker made her a prime target. It always did. She recalled how she was surrounded in the last game she played at Hogwarts by multiple people that were coming at her. They were usually taller, stronger and scarier than her. Constantly being a target was not exactly fun. She bite her lip. She should not admit it... She knew that. It made her weak, "Yeah... I mean, it will probably be fine... Maybe. I just... And honestly, I haven't met anyone from the team yet but... from the sounds of it, they will probably destroy me within moments..." She mumbled back, rambling on for a moment as she raised her free hand to scratch the back of her head nervously. Serena stared into her plate as she spoke.
She pushed some of her hair back, off her face and tucked it behind her ear, as she looked up towards him and smiled hesitantly - trying to put on a brave face, "I'm sure I'm just overreacting, you know... It will be fine!" She added, as though she was telling herself that. There was a clear case of trying to convince herself. Durmstrang were known to be good at Quidditch. It was not the stereotypical reputation of Hufflepuff so she had no idea how the Hogwarts Champion would hold against them but she was sure that the team would do their best. They had been able to work together well over the year and she had full faith in the other players on her team. It was more... she was just very nervous she was going to be on the receiving end of a bludger to the face or being surrounded again.
"Will you be there?" Serena asked suddenly, wondering if he enjoyed the sport, throwing the conversation onto him so she did not have to look so pathetic. He probably thought she was a crybaby, understandably so. Stacking a few more things onto her plate, she looked around for the sauce. Being shorter than most people had one major disadvantage, it became harder to see where things were when people were crowded around the tables, "Oh! May I?" She asked as pointed to the mayo bottle after she noticed he had put some onto his own burger.

Lizzie left rather swiftly, and Ariana gazed after her, stepping forward as she did so- intent on following the girl. However she turned back suddenly, remembering Alexei and Ivy, only to see them exchanging farewells and ‘see you soons.’
“I shan't keep you ladies any longer. I hope to see all of you around camp though!"
The crowd had filtered out, and Ariana hesitated for a second as though she would turn back and stay talking with him, however she decided against it and instead offered final words to him before she departed, “Well, I too hope to see you around the camp Alexei! No doubt I will.” Flashing him one of her characteristically beautiful smiles, she offered him one last polite wave of her hand and followed after Ivy. The gryffindor had to keep her eyes peeled for Lizzie; the girl had darted off between the crowd and Ariana didn't want to end up leaving her by accident.
"She seems a little...Off. If you know what I mean. Did something happen before I arrived?"
Ariana turned to Ivy, a knowing grin plastered on her face [this wasn’t usually a good sign.] “Well, my dear Ana,” she started, intent on using this scenario to tease her friend throughout the camp, “Why I do not possibly know, maybe Lizz just can’t handle looks as exceptional as Alexeis as I can? I dare say I’m used to it, for I look at myself in the mirror every day.” This cocky nature was something Ivy would begin to become accustomed to, for Ariana never gave plain, bland answers to such simple questions. In truth, she hadn’t the faintest Idea what was up with Lizzie, maybe the girl didn’t like crowds? Or attention for handsome durmstrang boys?
She nodded in response to Ivy’s request as they neared the tables of food and caught up with the blonde ravenclaw. “Good idea,” she answered, “Just there seems fine.”

Santario continued to take photos of the fire but with different focus features. Sometimes the people moving in the background where what was in focus, and other times it was the fire. Most of the photos were of people from schools other than Hogwarts people she didn’t know or would never know, but they were interesting background pieces. However, the night's fanfare had worn off for her, and she didn’t see much of a reason to stick around anymore. She took a few steps back towards the bench that rested her plate of food, which had momentarily gone forgotten and her camera bag.
San would gently place the camera lens onto her camera before nestling it into the bag itself. Standing up from a squat, she pulled the strap over her shoulder and picked up her plate of food before starting to weave around people to leave the area. Maybe she would get lucky, and her less than entertaining tentmates wouldn’t be there, and she could just relax and eat in peace while going through the care package that was sent to her. At this point, she had wished that they would have only assigned her a solo tent, but alas, that apparently hadn’t been an option. She sighed softly as she breached the line of tents and left the line of sight of the bbq.
