Lily couldn't help it. She burst out laughing. " God you are so funny and also not intimidating. You don't scare me Colin!" she smirked and turned to Clair, mouthing so he doesn't see: He likes you Quickly, she bent down and petted Kiwi, laughing. "Don't worry Clair. I mean what I say. AND I'm not a troublemaker. Colin here is." She puts her arm around his waist. She would've put her arm around his shoulders but he was a lot taller than her. So waist would do. She laid her head on his arm, still giggling. Being cousins, they were extremely close as well as loved teasing each other. And she particularly loved teasing him about Clair. She knew she should stop now that she had confessed her love for someone that liked her back but still.... it was hard to stop. Colin did know about Oliver and her crush on him but if he mentions it here.... Lord, he's going to wish he didn't have a crush on Clair. And she was going to wish she could disappear. After all, he was the only one who knew about Oliver and she wanted it to stay like that. He shot her a glare and she returned that glare with her own amused glare.

Oliver was busy preparing himself, he heard that there was a cat party and he loved cats! He wore a suit and black pants. He hoped he hadn’t over done or under done his clothing. He quickly fixed his hair to a messy but formal hair style. He couldn’t wait for the fun he would have. She told him she would be there. He walked in. “Hey everyone! I heard there was a cat party here?” he asked. He saw Lily and waved. He walked over to Lily, he noticed he was with a tall guy, a bit taller than him. They look like relatives. Brother and sister? No probably cousins.
Hey Lily! How’s the party? he asked. He looked at her cousin. Hello! I don’t think Ive met you before! Im Oliv-“ but he was cut off by someone laughing really hard. “They are loud. I can tell this party is a big hit in Hogwarts!” he said. He turned his attention again to Lily. ”You want to get some cookies? I think I saw some over there!” Oliver said pointing at a table. He offered his hand and they walked over to the table with cookies and lemonade.

Lily turned as she heard Oliver. "Hello, Oliver. The party is fun." She gave a sly glance to Colin. "I agree.This is my cousin, Colin McCoire. Colin, this is Oliver. My friend.He loves teasing me." She smiled at Oliver and hugged him quickly. "I'm glad you came." she whispered in his ear. Letting go, she blushed knowing Colin would start to tease her. She shouldn't have teased him about Clair but it was so funny to watch him squirm in front of her and not able to do anything about it. Then again, he might start on her now that Oliver was here. Oh lord, she was going to get it knowing Colin. He would want revenge on her teasing. Uh oh. Maybe she shouldn't have teased him. ."So do you like cats?" She asked, smiling. She forgot about everyone and everything as she chatted with Oliver. She couldn't help it. He was just cute. "Do you have a pet of your own? I don't but I'm saving up for a owl and then maybe a cat. I really like cats." she said, looking at the other animals

Clair had always trusted her ability to read lips, often she could tell if she had made a mistake reading someone's lips if their words did not make sense. Well that was the case today.

She was sure she had Lily's lips to say 'he likes you' yet that could not be right, who liked her? Clair decided that she would ask Colin if he knew, after all he said Lily was his cousin, so therefore Colin might know all the 'gossip' that his Cousin knew, if it was even real gossip.

Clair would not have been so confused if she had heard what Lily was saying before, she would have just waved it off as if it was nothing more interesting then a Cousin bugging another, Clair did not know any of her own cousin's even though she had a ton of them.

Besides, if Clair had not seen Lily looking right at her when she had silently spoken, she would have guessed the little lion was talking to someone else, maybe Bailey or Rita.

There was only one thing to do. Clair walked up to Colin calmly, she was rather close to him, she could have poked him if she reached her arm out about six inches. "You know what she just told me?" Clair said softly, so that only Colin could hear, "She said 'He likes you' now who do you think would like me?" She laughed a little, "I think she might have eaten something funny today." She paused, "no offense seeing as she is your cousin."

He gave her the rose. He smiled. He sat down with her. Oliver didn’t know how much time had gone by. Seconds, minutes, hours and even days. But he didn’t care. Nothing seemed to care now. Your dress is so nice! If I were a girl I would probably wear it! But obviously I can’t because Im a guy. he said. He noticed some people starting to take notice of Lily and him. But he didn’t care. He squeezed her hand tightly. After a while he invited her to get some Lemonade and cookies. He poured 2 cups of lemonade and gave 1 to her. He noticed Lily’s cousin, Colin looking at them both. But he didn’t care. Im so tired. But its a party! Who wants to sleep at a party” he said looking around the room. He ate some cookies. These are really really good. he said. He looked around and saw Colin looking at a Girl. Whats that all about? he thought to himself. Probably nothing he thought brushing it off. “Ok seriously whoever baked these cookies taste delicious!he said. As he thought about it more, he felt odd, something was wrong but he didn’t know what.

Lily smiled as he gave her the rose. "Thank you, Oliver. I love it" she tucked it behind her ear, fixing it so it would stay in her hair. He commented on her dress and she blushed. "Thank you dear. You look handsome." Oliver gave her some lemonade and she said thank you. She smiled drinking a bit of her lemonade when she saw Clair whisper something to Colin. Nearly spitting it out, she swallowed thickly, staring at Colin, who too was staring at her. Covering her mouth, she blushed more trying not to laugh or in one way or another seem like it totally wasn't her that did it. Looking away quickly, she looked at Oliver. "I'm glad you came. It's more fun when your here" More scary too, she thought glancing at Colin who seemed to be blushing hard. Shaking her head, she reached down and petted Kiwi who very obviously liked her since she followed her again. "Do you like all animals?" She asked Oliver, smiling at him while still petting Kiwi, who was now purring very happily.

Sirin was...confused. To say that she didn't feel excluded would be plain lies. She'd joined a couple of kids in a casual party of pets--it had now unfolded into two ELEVEN-YEAR OLDS snogging and a brawl about to happen. Sirin knew trouble when she saw it--but at least it was entertaining.

"Uhm...may I know what the fuck happened here? I'm literally standing in the corner (for the last 5 minutes) with Elysia and now you two ELEVEN YEAR OLDS are making out. @Oliver Brown aren't you a bit young?"

Of course, Sirin was one to speak. She, too was eleven--a first year. She may have acted like a motherly figure just then, but it just came out of her. Elysia, stunned by Sirin's sudden revelation, curled up in her lap and let out a small squeak. The little ferret could also sense incoming "danger." An attack was brewing. Sirin could sense the hostile atmosphere and, slowly, drew her wand. Should there be danger, she would run and find the nearest prefect to help out.

Of course, it wouldn't hurt to let the situation unfurl---would it not be entertainment at its finest?

Slowly, Sirin lowered her wand and smiled, trying to be friendly and ignore the very awkward situation.

"God you are so funny and also not intimidating. You don't scare me Colin!" Lily was being super annoying this afternoon! Colin rolled his eyes as she told Clair she wasn't the trouble maker. He had to admit, his cousin had nerve --- she was certainly in the right house! What's up with that? Anyway, I wasn't even trying to scare her! he thought.

And then she had to go and stick her arm around his waist! "Yeek!" he squeaked as her hand found his belly. Surely Lily knew how ticklish he was and Colin felt certain that this was all part of her scheme to tease him. And right in front of Clair! Oh, bloody hell! Clair can see everything, and now she's going to know too! He had to admit that the idea of being tickled to death by Clair was not at all unappealing, but still! She just had to find out from Lily!?

Colin was busy trying to keep himself from giggling and he didn't even notice that another kid had joined the party. He was a little shorter than Colin, and he liked the lad's messy hair. He was wearing some kind black suit thing. Must be a Ravenclaw, Colin thought. Either that or the lad just got back from a funeral. He tried to introduce himself, but Colin couldn't catch his name. Sounded like Lee Leesbow or something. Must be a muggleborn.

But then two very strange things happened almost at once. As soon as Lily caught sight of the new lad, she quit tormenting Colin, gave him a smirk and went over to Lee. She gave him a hug and introduced the lad as Oliver. Perhaps Oliver was his middle name? Lily said something else, but Colin didn't catch it, because at that moment Clair started to walk over towards him. Colin's eyes widened and he lost all sense of anything else going on around him.

He began to breathe fast! Her eyes were so blue! Like the sky, and like ice, and like gems! Oh, my God! She was looking at --- him!? He knew there was no one next to him, now that Lily had gone over to talk with Lee Oliver. She was close enough that he could scent her hair. He loved that scent! He wondered if she was going to tickle him! Her expression was difficult to read. He knew Clair could tease --- she was wicked fun that way! But he felt lost in her beautiful eyes.

He could see beyond Clair that Lily and Lee were talking and they'd gotten something to drink.

"You know what she just told me?" Clair's voice was soft and gentle. Colin loved Clair's voice! Wait. Lily? he thought.

"Er ---" Colin had to pause and take a deep breath. When she was close like this, Colin's brain always seemed to melt. "She said I'm a --- a troublemaker?"

His eyes darted back over towards Lily and the boy but Clair was so close! Her presence excited him and he found it difficult to look away from the lass! He had a bad feeling about this! Colin wished that Lily hadn't teased him so. He really wanted to tell Clair he loved her. But not here with Bailey and everyone around! He moaned. He just wanted to chat with Clair and Sirin and Bailey and play with the kitty cats!

Clair continued, almost in a soft whisper: "She said 'He likes you' now who do you think would like me?" Clair laughed a little. Colin liked her laugh too. He knew she had a sense of humour. But once he took in what Clair had just said, he completely forgot all about Lily, forgot about the kitties and Bailey and Sirin and everything else.

Colin gasped and his heart skipped a beat before pounding in chest. "I think she might have eaten something funny today. No offense seeing as she is your cousin." A tiny part of Colin's brain wanted to draw his wand on Lily and turn his little miscreant of a cousin into a matchbox or something, but that thought was fleeting and anyway was entirely drowned out by how on earth he was going to explain to Clair!

The lass was so close. They were so close! To each other! "Uhh!" How can I tell this girl I like her!? Colin's breathing became fast and shallow. Oh no! You're hyperventilating, laddie! "Whoa. Need to --- need to breathe, Colin!" he said. "She's just a lass, Colin! You've got this! Jet tell her it's you that like her!" Colin gasped again. "Did I just say that out loud? Oh no! I --- I didn't mean that! NOO!!! I mean! Oh God!"

Colin buried his face in his hands. He could feel a hot blush rising from his chest all the way up and spreading across his face. For a split second he wished he knew how to disapparate! He could reappear in China or someplace and just die of embarrassment! "I mean!" Colin reached out and touched Clair's arms. "That's not what I meant!! Ye're not 'just a girl'! I mean, ye are the bonniest lassie I've ever met!"

Colin wondered how Lily could do it! Just walk up to a lad and give him a snog! Colin himself was now an experienced kisser, since the bottle spinning game, but still --- this was Clair! He wondered if he'd ever be brave enough to kiss her properly. But right now --- right now Colin wanted to die! He was messing this up so badly!

"I mean! Um!!" Colin liked his lips. They'd gone dry, and so had his throat. He thought: Wait! Who wouldn't like Clair!? I --- I love her! Colin didn't quite like the way Clair laughed after she asked him who might like her. Did she think she was somehow unlikable? Could she not see how much he liked her?

Colin felt dizzy. Like he might faint. He'd managed to work himself up into right state. All he could get out after all his stammering and nonsense was: "M---Me! I---I do!" He said the words so quietly that he wondered if Clair would even hear. Colin realised he was still holding Clair's arms. "Oh! S---Sorry!"
