The best advice I can give is... just do it. Use a broom to make it go away or something.
I used to be scared of some kind of bug until I had to make them leave all by myself; no one was around and my class was in 15 minutes. I "fought" those bugs that day, and I'm not very scared of them anymore now. I still won't touch them with bare hands like that friend of mine, but I don't have to ask others for help again.
