Character Backstory: Alina is living with her parents, Leona Myers and Patrick Terrel, in a little suburban house. They have a great relationship. Alina's favourite hobbies are drawing, reading and horse riding, but she never neglects her studies either. She has always been top of her class, which hasn't earned her any friends. She has been bullied before, even went home crying a number of times, and though she talks back to her bullies and usually stands up for herself she's shy and quiet most of the time. This adds to the fact the she likes animals' company a lot better than humans, and she's the happiest when she can go horse riding at the local riding school. Alina's parents don't have much money, but they always tried to give her everything she needs, so they're often working overtime. Alina is alone a lot of the time given her parents' jobs, but she likes that. She usually passes the time with drawing and painting, reading all day while scooped into her room, or sometimes spending time with the only friend she has, Sydney Smith from across the street. Sometimes they go to each other houses, have sleepovers or ride their bikes around the neighborhood. Alina may be shy and quiet, but the side Sydney sees is not that. With the right person Alina is loud and mischievous, fun to be around, whether you need a partner in crime or someone to listen to your ranting. She's kind and helpful, and if someone goes against someone she loves she isn't afraid to stand up to them and speak her mind.
First instance of magic: When one day 10 years old Alina was drawing in her room at her desk, she was so invested that when she dropped her rubber down to pick up her pencil, the rubber fell out of her window. She jumped up from her desk, looked out of the window, and when she turned back to her desk to go and fetch it, the rubber was there on her desk.
