She gave way to a small laugh as Cade continued to hound her, her eyes rolling back playfully. It seemed she was getting on well with him, as well as the Slytherin boy who appeared to speak rather formally. Despite her family not branching out quite as much as other pure-bloods, she could still recall the surname Pride. She supposed most children from such lines would be taught to speak politely and suitable, or at least she was. Though her proper etiquette and mannerisms seemed to fade away over time, and instead developed into a sort of fierceness.
The conversation of Quidditch continued, up until she watched as the Gryffindor Quidditch captain approached them on his broom. Valencia froze for a moment, unsure if he had somehow heard her remarks from all the way down on the pitch. Impossible.. She waved slightly in response, his eyes not exactly focused on her and instead regarding the entire stadium. He did seem.. nice. As she felt Cade nudge her back, she shrugged, not having exact words to reply with.
The wind blew for a moment, causing Valencia to tuck a few stray pieces of hair behind her ear to prevent them from blocking her vision. As she glanced back, the voice of a female seemed to be calling out a name. Valencia recognized her immediately, from the run-in inside the Abandoned Toilets. It was unlikely she would remember her, or what happened there, so Valencia merely nodded with a smile as she individually addressed Cade among their group, lips pursed.
"No drama at all, don't worry abou-", Valencia's stopped mid-sentence, eyes now rounded and wide as she watched Mathias stride over towards the boy that yelled at Valencia just moments ago. A part of her wanted to stop him, as if she should grab his arm and pull him back towards them, though was it really her job to prevent some student from acting out foolishly? "Pride-" She hissed in a whisper, the use of his last name making it sound as if they were close friends. "What in God's name do ya think you're doing?" Though it was visibly apparent he wasn't listening, and instead extending his hand out towards the second year. She raised a hand to her face, pinching the bridge of her nose just between her eyes as if it would spare her the second-hand embarassment.

Dive down deep into her sound.

Another match, another solitary Thomas perched atop a wooden backstop to the rear of the stadium's highest row of seats. Thomas leaned against the wall, a quill-pen breed and journal in hand, unwavering gaze towards the players from each team. A new addition this time, a small pair of binoculars to better survey the action. Anything to get an edge of understanding deciding factors of a match, as his early season predictions that were printed in ink did not reflect on him positively as the quidditch guru he made himself out to be.Interactions: Ami Procoppio | Open to new interactions
Though Thomas' decision to take on Quidditch as his primary topic writing for the headliner was not based in understanding of the game. More so passion for the beauty of sports, the boy confident as time passes, his analysis will develop. Especially now, given his opportunity to don the black and green uniforms on gamedays for his own house. Adding a new layer of appreciation for the daily rigors of a quidditch player.
On the boy's journal page, a series of pre-written notes would be found regarding statistical percentages. His prediction for this match, though defiantly not published in ink, would favor Ravenclaw. A shame that former captain, Neculai Lazar, no longer represented the Ravens on the pitch. Stepped down from the team for reasons unknown, providing a void that fellow prefect Sylvain would occupy, even if warming the bench. All eyes would be on Cecily Quinn to help manage this storm of transitions for a largely dormant club.
Yet Miss Quinn would not be a target of focus as she has in the past, instead River Dewlight thrusted into a starting role, an opportunity to breath new life into this team. Their success would likely depend on her abilities here today. And despite Decipio's capable display last match, Thomas believed the stars would align for the Ravens today. At least he hoped they would.
The boy scanned the benches to find @Rafael D'Spacito, circled in his journal for an interview following this match. Decidedly concealing his addition to the Slytherin team in this approach, knowing this information may alter his answers. Thomas could only hope Mister D'Spacito was not aware of this news.
The Gryffindor captain was engaged in what appeared to be an impassioned speech to the portion of the roster that chose to engage. To his side, he motioned to a table of refreshments. Likely orange slices and capri suns for the developing cubs. Thomas' vision then flickered to his fellow spectators, scanning the crowd to ensure a certain Ryan did not lurk in the shadows. He spotted a few familiar faces, most notably @Ami Procoppio looking to have a similar approach, scouting the opponents for the continued success of her club.
Thomas would store his journal within his robe pocket, traveling down a set of stairs to the row Ami was situated. He found a seat two away from where she sat, at least out of arm's reach. If she decided to deck him again, he would at least have an opportunity to react this time. "Ami." A pretentious smile stained his lips, removing a flask with that he filled with a black dark roast coffee before the match. Hopefully scourgify was effective in removing the remnants of firewhiskey from past happenings.
"Coffee?" Thomas offered, beginning to reach towards the Hufflepuff, before swiftly pulling it away. "Just fucking with you. Can't share sips with you, a Huffle with a superiority complex." Plot twist, Thomas was developing that himself. The boy glanced down to her notes while taking a sip of his coffee that fortunately just tasted like coffee. "Having better success sorting M's and N's?" With a smirk, Thomas removed some of the leftover exploding bonbon's from his pant pocket, offering one to Ami. "M&M?"

Ah, Quidditch. A game played on broomsticks, with four balls, six hoops, two teams, fourteen players. Rose had been almost obsessed with Quidditch her first year. But just as she was about to try out her second year, she had chickened out and never showed up to the tryouts. She had been… scared. Scared as heck. Even though pictures of grasping the snitch in her hand seconds into the game, winning a victory and maybe even the Quidditch Cup for the team as the seeker of Gryffindor had dominated her dreams and thoughts throughout first year, the dreams and thoughts of her messing up, letting down her team, her entire house- those dreams had steadily increased over the summer in place of her victorious dreams, and she didn’t want to think about it.
Rose was sure she would rather be on the ground anyway, hurling spells at people across a platform. At least she told herself that.
The air was crisp with a chill as Rose, bundled up in her thick coat and her scarf, made her way toward the Quidditch Pitch. She was a little bit late- the players were coming onto the field while Rose stepped into the stands. She would spot some of her friends and raise her voice, cupping her hands around her mouth and yelling their way, “GO SCARLETT!!! GO AKARI!!! YOU GOT THIS, LIONS!!!” She had briefly met some of the other players, like Rafael and- Anastasia. Anastasia Beckett was not one of Rose’s positive acquaintances. The only times Rose had seen her, she had hurt Rose (or tried), whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. She had really hurt Eyre in their physical fight, and even though they had made up by now, she was still a little tentative near her, cautious of her exploding in her face for absolutely no reason.
The stands were full of students- mostly either Gryffindors or Ravenclaws rooting for their teams, or other people rooting for their friends. Rose was usually impartial if Gryffindor wasn’t playing, but she was definitely going to cheer her House and friends in Gryffindor on.
But who would she sit with? Rose climbed higher into the stands, slipping through the crowd of students and trying not to make physical contact with any of the people also present to watch the Quidditch game, and if she did, she would apologize and then move away from them, keeping her head down. Rose scanned the area. The higher stands were less congested, giving Rose enough space to give a quick scan, deciding where she would sit. She spied a boy sitting alone, his eyes on the game. He was familiar- yes, she had classes with him, but he wasn’t a Gryffindor. But- something else. Rose had just briefly spied him just after Anastasia had tripped her at the Masquerade Ball, as well as right after Eyre had left to confront Anastasia. Just a little glimpse of him- Anastasia had been talking to him. She hadn’t really paid too much attention to him, except for a little pang of pity that he had to experience the presence of Anastasia.
In her classes, she might have heard his name, but it took her a couple second to think of it. Finn? Flash? Yeah, that sounded right. Rose was a little more perceptive than the average person, so she had already worked out at least a little bit about this Flash guy. Why not sit with him for the duration of the Quidditch match?
Rose walked over to Flash, speaking up over the chatter of the people around her. “Um, hi- uh, would it be okay if I sat with you?” And, just in case he didn’t know her name, she would supply it for him- “I’m Rose.”

Tom saw the board in the common room had full of requests for back up Quidditch players. He thought about it but apparently the first flying lesson he had held him back. He was frustrated but now felt so fortunate. The weather was nasty level cold and this place just had a snow fall. He expected that the wizarding world might have a different kind of white skeleton. His first snow in Hogwarts was at the great hall New Year's dinner table. He never thought that he could eat and enjoy the scene in the same place, and it's warm! Back to the field, not need to even mentioning the breezing wind, which almost knock him fall during the lesson.
With senior students help, Tom managed to survive the first month without getting lost in the castle, and not getting detained. Before the game starts, he took extra eggs and serials. Even he's not going to play the game, he needed energy to just stay there and watch. He never watched a game that played above 50 feet. He's wearing double work robes with a winter coat, and the not so comfortable gloves. He left one robe back the dorm incase he needed after the game. With hot chocolate mug on his hand, he was ready for the show.

Paige couldn't help but laugh as Simon stole her tea and drank it. Evil. Paige was evil. She laughed again. "Yes, I cleverly planned for you to steal it from me so I ordered tea instead. Ha. Ha. But since you want chocolate so much:" Paige pulled out lemon drops and chocolate, one in one hand the other in the other hand. "I GUESS I'll just eat these lemon drops and you can have the chocolate." She threw a napkin at Simon's face. "You have a tea mustache."
She looked back, realized Rose had walked into the stands. "What's up Rose?"She waved to @Rose Moon before turning back to the pitch. Lots of players were still walking on. Some were benched. Sheesh, there were more lions out there. "GO EAGLES, YOU'VE GOT THIS!!" She turned to Simon with a goofy smile on her face. "Too much?" Paige shook her head before sipping her tea.
She wanted hot cocoa now. She was back to craving chocolate. She did bring some, of course. She took a chocolate from the bag and placed it in her mouth. How is it that Simon Kincaid does not like Chocolate? "You sure you wouldn't like Chocolate?"

No chocolate, @Paige Chase
He reached his hand out to snatch the napkin from Paige's hand before thanking her for it. He wiped his mouth and then folded it, placing it back into his pocket. One never knew when they'd need one again and he certainly didn't want to leave it laying around the stands.
She then tried to offer him up some chocolate. She had pulled out candy from her pocket, chocolate in one hand and lemon drops in the other. The one with chocolate was more extended out toward him and he glanced to the chocolate in an attempt to deceive her before quickly snatching a lemon drop from her hand and popped it into his mouth with quick reflexes.
Paige had said hello to someone with a name he didn't know and he glanced in that direction, figuring to see a Ravenclaw or a Gryffindor since that's what mostly occupied this particular set of stands. Sure thing it was a Gryffindor who was walking through the sea of students to find a seat. Simon watched the redhead for a moment but his attention was pulled away when Paige began to cheer. It did catch him off guard and he was slightly startled but laughed from it. "No, no, not too much. If there was ever a time to scream your house pride to the heavens, I would think now would be it."
He smiled to Paige and watched as she brought back out the chocolates. Not them again. Once more she was offering them up toward him and he shook his head. No thanks! Chocolate was the worst out of any sweet...well, sort of. Chocolate, caramel, butterscotch...they were all pretty bad. They were creamy and coated your mouth to where you couldn't get rid of the taste right away. He'd eat any vegetable before he'd agree to eat something like that. "I'm good. Thanks."
"So tell me, which team do you think is going to win? I mean, if I were to bet all the money that I had and my aunt and mine's home back in London were on the line, which would you say would win?"

Paige couldn't help but laugh as Simon quickly grabbed the lemon drops from her hand.
"Oh no! Don't do that to me!! I would never want to answer that! I'd rather put my home on the line than yours! Okay... uhh.." Paige hung her head and laughed. "Gosh, when you put it poo like that, I have to say Gryffindor. Ah! Sorry! " She said, apologizing to her house.
"I'm going to throw this bag of chocolate at you if you give me such a hard decision again, young man." Then she smiled. She's been doing that a lot, lately.
She took a sip of her tea once more. It was never t as good as hot cocoa. "What do you have against chocolate??? It's sooo good. Okay, Caramel? Butterscotch? Peppermint????? Peppermint has nothing t do with chocolate why did I even bring that up?" She smiled. She looked back to the pitch.
"Who do you think is going to win? If you had to be very honest, and my house and money was on the line?" She said, mocking him but in a friendly way. She nudged him. "No, but really, who do you think has this game?" She raised her eye brows.

Cuddling up with @Paige Chase
He could see the inner dilemma in Paige as she thought about his question and he had to give it to her - at least she thought about it! Some would just quickly say their house no matter what but she wanted to analyze it like the true Ravenclaw she was. He laughed when she apologized to her own house and then said the other team. "I think Rowena Ravenclaw will forgive you!"
Chocolate, caramel, butterscotch...peppermint. They were all just as bad. "I would take peppermint over any of them. No question." Still, he liked the sourness of a lemon drop more than something minty. Honestly though, he really couldn't tell you too many of his favorite foods though. Food and tasting just wasn't really something that he enjoyed.
"Who do I think is going to win? I don't know, sometimes the underdog surprises you. I'll have to say Gryffindor as well though. They've got team members that have experience together. I heard that Ravenclaw has a new captain but then again, that just might mean more thurst to prove himself." Simon glanced up but he didn't like looking up into the sky when it was still daytime and turn his attention back to his friend.
"You know who REALLY is going to win here? Us," he said as he moved closer to Paige because there were so.many.others. in those stands. He brought his arm around her and cuddled in close. "Because we don't have to work our butts off. We don't have to be up there thinking and strategizing. We get to hang out here and enjoy the day."

Letting himself lean back against the bench, he sprawled out his arms to allow them to rest on each side of the top of the bench beside him. The boy was ready to drop the issue with the naive first-year, for the time being, allow himself to try and enjoy the match as much as he possibly could, but, it seemed there were other annoyances that would inconvenience him in a short while. For now, though, he watched as one of his best friends flew out and over the pitch causing a little smirk to be displayed upon Zykeals features, "Show off," he muttered to himself fondly.
Surprisingly though, Rafa flew over the benches and immediately called out to him with an 'Oi, you!' and continued to make comments about the poor weather conditions that seemed to plague the games. Zyk would allow the rotation of his aspen wood ivory-white wand and grasp the hilt in an instant, with that, he'd raise it up and point it to the tip of his eyebrow and give a little salute to his friend as he pushed out his wand. "Give em' hell on the pitch bro," he shouted back in response, an amused smirk still crossing over him as he knew Rafa could handle the situation easily.
Watching as Rafa paid one more glance to him, he noted that he needed to have a Hodag night some point soon, a good bonding moment for their dorm that seemed to be so hectic as of late. When his friend flew over to address the Gryffindor Team, Zykeal noticed a shift of movement from one of the students who were near the girl he had addressed earlier. A boy, one he'd never seen before, started to make his way over towards Zyk and seemed to have only eyes for him. Those golden hues of his own started to roll as he knew exactly the type of eyes the boy had, the sheer determination to try and make a name for himself. Unfortunately for the boy approaching, he chose the wrong person to play this game with.
After the boy drew close enough to allow the extension of a hand, Zyk would stall for a couple of seconds and consider the boy for a moment, always sizing up possible opponents. Letting the boys hand hang in the air for a moment longer. Offering a slight sigh and a mutter of, "Here we go," he'd extend his left hand out while pulling his wand hand to the center of his chest, letting the hilt be settled to where it juts out towards the boy's chest. As he took hold of the boy's hand, he'd pull the boy in closer towards him and offer a sickening smile as the kid made a comment replicating comment against his friend, "Zykeal Lane," he offered quietly, so only the other could hear.
A quick glance was given off down towards Ami and the other boy she was sitting with, 'oh well', he thought, as his hand holding his wand twisted the motions of the infamous 'Knockback Jinx'. The tip of his wand drew carefully the movements needed for the incantation he spoke as looking directly into the eyes of the boy before him, "Flipendo," he offered quietly in retort to the boys random comment upon the 'rumors' he'd heard. What happened from there was up to fate, he took pride in his magical abilities, but, from time-to-time, his concentration lacked the conviction needed to complete the spells. It was really dependant upon his mood at the time, now though, he was quite unforgiving of these simple-minded creatures before him. Zykeals' aim? To send the boy flying off towards where he had come from. Zykeal wanted his space.

Quidditch: Ravenclaw v Gryffindor
The first Quidditch games of the season had taken place at the end of October, when Marcus Iwasaki had been experiencing a bout of moon sickness. Although it wasn't debilitating, he had known the sheer volume of cheering in the stands would have made him absolutely miserable, so he had stayed at the castle with a good book and coffee. When the crowds returned, he had been mildly disappointed to learn that Ravenclaw had lost their game against Hufflepuff. He was not a huge fan of Quidditch, but he did understand the competitiveness of the sport and the fact that it meant a great deal to the players themselves. Marcus knew that being there wouldn't have made a difference to the outcome, but he still felt that showing up in his Head of House capacity might have helped with morale. So the man resolved to make an effort to show up to the next round of matches.
On this Saturday afternoon, Marcus joined the rest of the crowds traveling down to the Quidditch pitch for the Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor match. Given the cold that February had brought with it, the Head of Ravenclaw was bundled in a dark winter cloak that cascaded over his broad shoulders. Gloves and boots were helping him contend with the cold, and he held a thermos filled to the top with coffee. The stands themselves would provide the students with hot chocolate and tea, but neither of those drinks were his preference. He had neglected to bring a hat or earmuffs like he saw on so many students, but he was used to feeling a chill on his head. Plus he was wearing a scarf that protected at least his neck from the cold.
If it started to snow, he could always use the umbrella charm to shield himself. It was a simple spell he was confident in, especially given how he had practiced it after witnessing its use during the first-year boat ride. Nora had cast the charm just in time to shield herself from the onslaught of lake water that the squid had caused.
The trek down to the pitch was long, but he was quick to separate himself from the crowd of children. He instead made his way up to the staff area of the stands - uninterested in being surrounded by the wildness of the students cheering for their houses - and he spotted a familiar visage. It was a man that Marcus had not had a proper conversation with during his time at the castle. @Kelsey Brumby had been hired as the school healer back at the end of November, but they had only ever exchanged brief pleasantries during meals or passing in the halls.
"Hello, Nurse Brumby," Marcus greeted, taking a seat on the same bench as the man. He made sure there was a decent amount of space between them, but not too much that he couldn't be heard. "Or do you prefer Healer Brumby?" he wondered aloud, taking a sip from his thermos of coffee. Having never seen the skills of the Hogwarts Quidditch players before, he was intending to actually pay attention to the match, but the game had yet to start. Conversation was better than just sitting around waiting for the game to begin.
