Alexander saw how the girl was once again deflecting from the topic. Trying to gain control of the situation. Making it so that she was not the center of attention.

And that was alright. Progress would come in time. The most important thing is that she felt comfortable. If that required him to talk about himself then so be it.

So Alexander thought about his answer for a moment before responding. A small smile on his face as she called him professor "Still not a professor. But generally speaking I am afraid I am quite a boring person"

He would shift his legs to sit in a straight position once more.
"I spend most of my free time just reading and studying. Either general fiction or just new spells or history. As for physical activity..."

Alexander scratched his nose, there was an annoying itch there. "I mostly do a little physical activity. Some jogging, a little physical exercise etc. Other than that I don't really do any physical sports as of right now. "

He then rubbed his chin a little.
"Though I do have some interest in perhaps joining the duelling club. When it opens up once more of course."

Then he was silent for a moment as he thought about the offer of advertisement.
Right now he did not need any additional advertisement. THe small letter at the door was attracting just enough customers.

And more importantly, he did not want to get involved with a possibly dark and pureblood family like the Rosiers. That would be quite unfortunate.

"I thank you for the offer but I have the current situation handled. Though I might need to do a bit more about furniture" Alexander contemplated as he looked around the empty room.

"Dueling Club, huh?" she asked as she got up and wandered over to him. She liked how this boy was with this whole thing...the folding of the hands, the way he held himself. "I can see you being good at dueling."

Once she was now standing before him she placed her hands on each of his shoulders and looked down at him to size him up and he had a much bigger build than her, although EVERYONE did. Even her identical twin probably did! She then took just her right hand and brought it down from his shoulder to his upper arm, examining it. Yes, he seemed to have the build for dueling, he had the strength it felt, and he had good observational skills on reading people.

Did he have the speed for dueling? Alina figured that speed was also something that was very important as well when it came to that sort of thing between two people. It wasn't as if she was some dueling expert. She didn't really know much about it at all.

Still, Alexander Varellion was trying to help her out even if she wouldn't admit it and she wanted to help him out. One, she would still be paying him for his services that day, and two, maybe she could help build up his ego when it came to dueling. He had the build, the strength, the observational skills...now to test the speed.

She finally let go of his arm and stood straight up, gave him a short smile as an apology for touching him, and then quickly went to smack him. It was all playfully, of course, but she wanted to test those reflexes.

One knew tomatoes. They were red fruits (or vegetables depending on who you ask) that were famous for their red colours.

For a moment Alexander 's cheeks looked quite reminiscent of one. As he felt how the girl's hand went across his arm. Alexander was stunned for a moment. The action was just so sudden that he had no idea on how to react. His cheeks were flushed and Alexander had no idea what to do.

Then he saw how the girl pulled her hand back. This was quite a relief for Alexander as he brea.......

and rapidly brought up his right arm. Reminiscent to the kind of stance a boxer would hold in the defense. Blocking it with his upper arm.

Now Alexander fully breathed out. And whilst his face was still red it was now less of an embarrassed red and more of a furious one. Alexander did not appreciate anyone touching him like that. He liked it even less if someone struck him physically like that.

Alexander would rapidly breath in and out. But his eyebrows would twitch and he felt this tight pressure of anger pounding on his chest. Then after a few moments Alexander spoke once more. Now, though he tried to contain it, a trace amount of anger and vitriol in his voice.

"I would appreciate if you did not do that again." Alexander breathed in and out. His frustrated eyes and face would now transfer into a blank and cold mask. Then he spoke again with a blank and almost frosty tone.

"I am sorry. I lost control of myself for a second. But I would in fact not appreciate it if you tried to initiate non-consensual contact once more."

he had only meant it playfully, the attempted smack and she knew very well she was one of the weakest humans on earth so even if he hadn’t blocked her attempt, it wouldn’t have hurt at all.

Alina stepped back, feeling deeply hurt that the boy couldn’t see she was playing or rather even want to enjoy any of his time with her. Things got crazy enough with adding being miserable on top of it all.

“Well,” she tried to stay positive, “I guess there’s some more things you’ve got going for you when dueling. You’ve got quick reflexes and a keen eye and you never stop taking it serious. Plus, you’ll never give your opponent a break.” Not even slightly. She glanced away from him.

“So yes, I think you’ll be quite good at it once it opens back up. A right professional,” and she walked over to the chair where her bag rested and she opened it and began to go through it, hoping to find a small zipped pouch she had in it.

2 sickles for 15 minutes is what his sign had said and she had probably been there boring and irritating him for the past 45. She gathered out six sickles and came over to him. “Payment for your services, Professor,” she said before placing them beside him. Certainly she wouldn’t put it in his hands. She then turned to leave.
