Slowing Down PV Alina Rosier Closed

A New Day - with @Alina Rosier

"Sounds like a plan to me, Miss Rosier," he grinned. An awesome plan. He loved her constant stream of ideas.

He rested his elbows on the railing and let the cool morning breeze brush across his face and ruffle his hair. Alina sidled up to him and they drew close against the crisp chill.

The view from clear up in the Astronomy Tower was spectacular. Like a really good sequel to the stars that were slowly beginning to wink out. Slowly, the rest of the world below them began to come alive. A few flocks of birds took flight. One or two tiny figures ventured out onto the grounds. And it wasn't until then, what with until the relaxing pinks and oranges cresting over the hills and Alina's nearness keeping him warm, that he finally began to feel his eyelids droop.

He looked over at Alina, only to forget what he was about to say what with the early morning sunlight caught in her hair. He mentally slapped himself back into the present, and smiled at her.

"We'd better get back or I won't be much help with that research."

They ventured back through the castle, hand-in-hand clear up until it was time to part ways at the dorms. By then he could tell they were both feeling tired. So Clifton didn't do or say much. Just planted a kiss on her cheek and said he'd see her at the library.

"You're lucky I don't turn you in," his bunk mate whispered in greeting. "And what happened to your jacket?"

Great gremlins, the kid was nosy. Clifton only gave him what probably looked like a half-drunken smile as he dragged himself up onto his bunk. He hadn't even realized he didn't have it.

"It's where it's supposed to be. Now let me sleep."

I do all my own stunts, but never intentionally.
