A Chance Meeting
If there was one thing that Georgia had learned since arriving at Hogwarts, it was that it was really, really big. It was also old, which meant that it was undoubtedly full of secrets, which in turn meant that it was probably a really awesome place to explore. Between classes, homework, and trying to make new friends, Georgia had scarcely had the opportunity to scout out her new home and uncover its mysterious. Today, however, she had managed to carve out some free time. She was going on an adventure!
That had been her plan, anyway. The weather had different ideas: she'd woken to pelting rain and a freezing draught creeping through the castle. Georgia had let it bother her for a moment, and then she'd gotten dressed and pulled on a warm sweater with renewed vigour. No matter! She could explore the castle itself. There was bound to be something interesting to uncover, and maybe she'd run into someone along the way.
Her quest for adventure led her to the second floor, which she had never really visited before. Georgia wasn't one for studying, and she did not have any classes here. Besides, she'd heard rumours about an unusual bathroom, which piqued her interest. What could make a bathroom so unusual, after all? Did the taps run with freshly sourced spring water? Was the soap a different scent every day of the week? Did the room smell of strawberries and peaches rather than disinfectant or worse? She was excited to find out.
Georgia pushed open the door, stepped in the room, and gasped. It was not a good gasp. She was surprised--shocked, even--to discover that the bathroom was quite the opposite of her imagination. It looked abandoned, with sinks and toilets alike in a state of disuse. It smelled strongly of dust and mildew, and she wrinkled her nose as she caught her reflection in one of the cracked mirrors. This certainly had not been what she was hoping to find today. But she was not disheartened: it was still an adventure, if in a different sense than what she had imagined.
"I wonder what happened here," she said to herself, as she turned around, drinking in the room and its state of disrepair. "Seems like it'd be a perfectly good bathroom, if they fixed it up."

A Chance Meeting
It was rainy.
Very rainy.
Having lived his whole life under an open sky, however, Ruka had decided to go down to the grounds anyway. He didn't think he'd spent a single day yet without visiting the Lake and feeding the Giant Squid. He had put on his dad's old grey sweater and a pair of black trousers that he had rolled up at the bottom until they only reached his ankles, had put his black cloak on top and decided to completely leave his shoes out of the equation since he would only end up taking them off again anyway, and had gone out to feed the Squid again.
Nobody had been outside, not really, and even the Squid had preferred staying completely under water, so it wasn't long before he returned to the castle, clothes completely drenched, feet cold on the stone floor.
He was shivering a little, but he had fought worse weather conditions before, so he was in no real rush to go and get changed.
No, he decided to roam the castle a little more, leaving a trail of water from his cloak behind him wherever he went. His gut feeling led him to the second floor, passing students who raised their eyebrows at him in passing, ignoring doors that beckoned to be opened, until he passed one that caught his attention for some reason.
He hummed thoughtfully as he pushed it open, his gaze drifting across what clearly used to be a bathroom at some point. The room he found himself in was clearly not taken care of, the mirrors cracked and the floor dirty. He took a step inside and wrinkled his nose at the smell of abandonment.
His toes wriggled in discomfort, his bare feet rough on the dusty ground. He was about to turn around and leave when he realised that someone else was here as well; a girl, probably around his age, with long wavy hair, dressed in a thick sweater to fight the cold of the day. "Not exactly the nicest part of the castle, is it," he said, stepping a bit closer towards the girl, his cloak still leaving a wet trail behind him. "Why do they not get this place back in shape again? Every other bathroom seems to be just fine!"
