Stumbling, tripping, falling , faster and faster the world moved around Galton's head. Stone and wood melting to expose their true sugary composition. The flesh of all those around slipping away, sliding to the floor and dissolving. All too familiar ginger bread left in the place that normal skin would have been. A plethora of candy adorned the ginger people, mouthwatering to the boy's core. Galton the Glorious' kingdom come back to reality, like he'd been living in the false world and finally peeled back the layer he knew was there.

And then the shouts came. His subjects openly acknowledging him from their windows. Since the ball they'd been scared to show their support. Deeming the young King as weak after his loss to foolish candy, they'd ignored him like the plague. Where he had once only been able to catch a glancing look, he had their full attention, no, their full praise. They shouted and shouted at him. "Today is the day!" "White just suits you so well!" "NO! PICK ME! PICK ME!" Galton waved, smiled, blew kisses, bowed, anything to show his affection back.

That's when he remembered. Today was a truly happy day. It was hi- their day. The more he looked around the more white he saw. The carpet, the streamers, the petals in a conveniently blowing breeze. And it all pointed him to one place. The courtyard. How fitting a name for the location of the final courting act a couple could make.

That is where his true love lie. A powerful figure from a competing candy kingdom, their marriage would usher in a new candy empire. Galton's groom-to-be would supply the magical candy, while Galton's populous would act as the conduits for said magic, combine they'd be unstoppable. Galton must hurry. His groom was left longing!

As Galton's tiny feet carried him towards the courtyard he imagined his partner waiting for him. Long scrumptious white coat, a tasteful white suit below, maybe a crown of flowers atop his yummy locks. Galton could feel in his bones that they were made for each-other. Ever since that faithful day in the forest, fate had baked the two together. "DEAREST, DON'T YOU HOLD OUT ON ME, IT'S TIME WE BECOME ONE!" He shouted, running off into the courtyard, his candy man waiting for him.

Little did Galton realize, Vladimir was gone. A new lover has whisked him away, damn that Professor Elliot Price stealing all the most eligible of bachelors. However, Galton would not have the chance to discover his errant lover had run off with someone new. Rather he had just demonstrated for the auror what he had come looking for. His hunch that the child was afflicted by something, perhaps a potion had proven to be correct.

The odd little boy's cry was enough of a change in demeanor to indicate what had happened. VanCleaf would draw his wand, unfussed by the concept that there were others likely watching. "Immobulus!" August bellowed the command and pointed his wand in Galton's direction. He wondered if Galton was headed towards the source of the poison. he had followed the young man since his return to Hogwarts. most of his behavior was erratic and odd but overall mundane. He had seen the young man speaking with a suspicious youth in a long, dark coat (mentioned in the narration of NPCs in the thread facilitating this) but he never saw what was exchanged. It was not enough for the auror to presume that the teen was the cause, but he did consider the distinct possibility. Evil comes in a great many forms.

"I am sorry, but I am doing this for your own good Galton," he announced with a sigh as he approached the youth. The child was dangerous, perhaps not to others, he had seen more powerful pygmypuffs. However, the boy was a risk to himself. He shuddered to think of the terrible consequences that might have befallen this school had an adult wizard been afflicted. of course the question then was: why weren't the adults affected?

There was an unsettling feeling that came over the auror as he momentarily pondered this. He felt that whatever the reason, it was incredibly relevant. Something that he would have to pull from Galton one way or another.

"Levicorpus" he announced as a follow-up. A charm that was not the most gentle, however it did what was necessary for the time being. "Levicorpus" It was a charm that lifted the intended subject by their ankles. In this case, he cast it twice -- once on Galton and again on Jürgen Hess.
Date: Feb 29th

Subject: Galton Lansdale

Teenage, second-year Gryffindor student previously afflicted with a delirium of unknown origin that gave him delusions of grandeur and cannibalistic tendencies. He was fixated on "candy" during his protracted stay at St. Mungos where he was under the care of 24-hour staff in isolation. The effect took weeks to fully wear off.

Upon his return to Hogwarts, the child is seen as an eccentric but harmless young man with few friends. He continues to have an affinity for sweets, it is unknown if this is a sequeli of his previous condition or a preference.

On this day, the subject offered myself a caramel candy before consuming a handful of candy. Upon consuming the candy the boy's demeanor changed. Galton was magically subjugated using the Immobulus charm in a hope that I can preserve his lunacy to study him.

Galton will be incarcerated in the Hospital Wing of the school. I will be needing some assistance as we investigate this matter further.

He had no idea what was going on. Galton was totally into getting candy and then as soon as he handed the crazy lion a candy the ran off to give it to some creepy guy who was sulking in the shadows. The candy giving was supposed to go the other way around! One for the weird guy, three for Galton. the numbers added up at the very least, but nothing else did.

As soon as Galton consumed the candies, he changed. It was not a physical change, well at least one that he could notice but rather it was an intangible change that unsettled him. He called out for his 'dearest' whoever that was. They spent a lot of time together, there was no "dearest" for either of them. Not for a lack of effort on Jürgen's part, he tried numerous times and was rejected just as many.

"Galton?"

That was all Jürgen could get out before the stranger drew his wand and pointed it at Galton. It only took a second to freeze him over.

"Holy--"

Jürgen fumbled, his hands searched for his wand. He had to have it somewhere. His heart started to race as his mind screamed stranger danger!

"LeT hIm Go!"

Jürgen shouted as he found his wand and gripped it in his hand. His aim wavered, he was shaking. He was brave, yes that much was true but he was also poop his pants terrified.

Levicorpus

No explanation, just another spell stated with such calm and such ease that was more chilling than the sudden change. Jürgen let out a yelp, not that it hurt but his legs were pulled out from under him and then tail over head his feet were in the air and his head was inches from the ground. His head pounded as the blood rushed to his skull.

"Let him... us go!"

Jürgen demanded not that he was in any position to make demands.
