Last week Henry couldn't have imagine meeting Gia Adelard by the great lake and singing songs from muggle Broadway shows that he remembered doing with her around three years ago or something when he was only 10 years old and just moved to Liverpool.

But after a surprise meet up with his friend finding out that she's magical and now knows about the wizarding world so there wasn't any secrets between them except for one main thing. The twelve year told her about his family being attacked by a werewolf but left out one crucial part; he was starched and now a werewolf. Not many students know at Hogwarts and the boy was still rather uncomfortable with telling others so when he didn't need to then he hardly let out that piece of information often forgetting it.

However Henry did want to tell Gia, he trusted the girl and knew that he will tell her about it someday. However at that moment, the boy had was walking across the ground with his rather old violin case in one hand and message type bag in his other hand with his orange feline; Loki following him.

Reaching the tree that was the agreed upon meetup spot, Henry set his messager type bag and violin case in a near little pile before sitting against the tree, waiting for the gryffindor while Loki stretched out a foot or two in front of him.

The first year strolled towards the Great Lake one Saturday morning with her black guitar case swinging gently by her side and her face bright with anticipation. Gia had been waiting for this day ever since she had run into Henry in one of the many Hogwarts corridors after at least a full year of communicating only through letters and never actually being able to meet up in person. It was nice, she thought, how it almost seemed like no time had passed at all. If you'd seen them talking a couple days ago, you would never have guessed that they hadn't seen each other in person for so long—but it was true. Although their encounter had been quite brief, the two Hogwarts students had planned another meeting by the Great Lake and both had agreed to bring their instruments along. They were going to be playing—and singing—Broadway songs, just like they had when they were younger, and the Gryffindor just could not wait.

Speeding up her pace slightly as she spotted the tree where they had planned to meet, Gia's gaze scanned the area around it to see if Henry was already there. It didn't seem like it, at least not yet. Suddenly, the eleven year old saw something moving out of the corner of her eye. It was Henry of course, walking towards the tree and sitting down, his back up against its trunk. A grin spread across the first year's face and she picked up speed once more, almost running now. "Henry!" she called, once she thought he would be able to hear her. "Hi!" Arriving in front of him, the girl took a few seconds to catch her breath. Noticing the cat that was stretching a little ways to her left, she looked down at it curiously. "Is that your cat?" asked Gia. It was quite adorable, she thought, and very eye catching with it's bright orange fur.

Feeling it was a little awkward to talk to someone who was sitting down while she was standing up and being used to the fact that the Slytherin was a little taller than her, Gia quickly plopped down onto the grass. Reaching out with only a tiny bit of hesitation, the brunette stroked the top of Henry's cat's head. She had never really been a big animal person, and as she did this the girl hoped that it wasn't one of those cats who liked to scratch people. When she finally drew back her hand, the eleven year old looked up and grinned at Henry. "So, how are you?" she asked conversationally. Then, after giving him some time to reply, the Gryffindor added, "What do you want to do first?"

Placing his messager type bag against the tree before setting the violin case in front of him and carefully opening it. As the twelve year old looked over the rather beautiful violin sitting nestled in the old and worn out case a smile was brought to the boy until he heard his name and snapped the case shut.

Placing the case on top of his messager type bag in a neat pile before jumping up and seeing Gia, a smile growing as he spoke" Gia! Hey," before giving her a half hug as the bot remained standing now looking toward his orange feline before speaking again, " yes, he's mine. That's Loki, I got him at the beginning of the year," still watching the feline as Loki wandered over toward Gia and gave the girl a sniff. After a moment the feline gave his short approval meow letting out a relief breath from Henry since the cat had pretty odd ways with who he trusted.

Loki never purred nor shone any other signs of affection really so after the cat stared up at the first year expecting her to pet him. Loki then took a seat on the grass in the middle of the two students.

After watching Gia sit down, the second year then sat down at her against the tree as Loki took a seat in the middle of the two students. Henry would smile a bit at his gryffindor friend as songs and memories of past times spent with his friend suddenly played in the boy's head allowing a smile to already across his face.

"I'm fine and how are you Gia," the boy was British so a few of his words may sound a bit more proper as his accent tingled at the end of each sentence before the boy nodded a bit toward his friend as he spoke" what would you like to do?"

Gia hugged the Slytherin back briefly, a bright smile brightening her features even more. She wasn't exactly a hugging sort of person, but today (and possibly some other days) she would make an exception. Before they ran into each other in the halls a couple days ago, she hadn't seen her friend for a very, very long time, so the girl was definitely not going to object from a small, quick hug. It was actually quite nice, if she was telling the truth. . . A few seconds later, Henry introduced the orange cat that was (still) stretching before them. "Loki, huh?" said Gia, petting the cat on the back when it came over to sniff her a few moments later. The name was slightly familiar, but she couldn't place exactly why. "Wait, isn't that the name of one of those Norse gods or something?" Yes, that was it, the first year thought. It had to be.

Loki soon wandered away from her and sat in between the two of them. Both students sat down as well. "I'm good as well—and very excited." she admitted with a grin. "And as for what to do, well. . ." Gia paused and thought for a few moments. "Well, we were going to play a few Broadway songs, right? And sing along, too?" When she received an answer, the eleven year old said, "Okay, well, how about we start with those? I'll need to warm up a tiny bit, though." Reaching for her guitar case, the young Gryffindor unzipped it. The shiny guitar gleamed in the sun, and Gia couldn't help but smile when she saw it. The instrument had never failed to cheer her up—even when she didn't necessarily need cheering up anyway. Taking it out of it's case, she propped it on her leg and strummed it a couple of times, practicing the chords she thought she might use.

Glancing back at the Slytherin boy to see how he was doing, Gia suddenly realized how long it had been since she'd heard him play. Over a year, just like the amount of time it had been since they'd last spoken in person. . . She must've been wearing an odd expression, and once she realized this the first year hurriedly pushed it off her face. "What song d'you want to start with first? Hamilton? Dear Evan Hansen? Something else?" she remembered the two she'd named being the main ones they'd listened and sung in the past, but there definitely had been others as well. "I honestly don't mind what you pick, I love them all." Gia smiled. This whole situation just felt so right. And it was definitely also a whole lot better than talking over owls, she thought with a bigger grin.

Loki seemed to not really care for the attention as the orange feline sniffed at the first year before sitting in between the two and seemed to be listening or studying their conversation. Henry just nodded with a smile at Gia's question concerning his feline's name before responding" Yes, Loki is the Norse god that represented Mischief but also was throughout the myths often fell into darkness only to find the light again, I thought it fit him," before the twelve year old would smile at his feline staring at and listening to his conversation.

Henry would let his eyes flicker back toward Gia upon hearing the girls voice again. Henry listened to her reply and smiled as he quickly added in, " I'm in excited to," before nodding on as the second year listened to the girl talk about what they were going to play first or how they would stay this musical study like session.

Henry was about to speak but held off as he watched the girl take out her guitar making his smile grow. Although the second year remembered that it been around a year possibly more since he heard his friend play or sing which only increased his excitement to start which was odd since the twelve year old was usually a anxiety and shy person that had a bit of stage fright. While he still hid his emotions, the young boy wasn't afraid of singing outside where others could see probably because he was too focus on playing/singing with Gia again.

After a moment as Henry leaned his back against the trunk of the tree and folded on legs underneath the other while Loki sat still listening to the two student's conversation at times it seemed the cat was human or was magical but sadly Henry knew both options were false.

" Hamilton or Dear Evan Hansen sound brilliant to start off with, you can chose the song if you want Gia," Henry spoke thinking about how even through he was a pureblood the boy knew quite a lot about muggle Broadway shows and musicals because of Gia which to the boy it was amazing as it took a moment for the boy to remember the songs from those two particular shows before he spoke" what about Only Us or Story Of Tonight?"

Gia nodded. "Thought so," she replied with a grin. "I like it, it's a good name. Did you get him in Diagon Alley? I remember seeing a pet shop there. . ." What had the place been called again? Something to do with magic for sure. Magical. . . pet shop? No, that wasn't it, it had been more professional sounding. Menagerie? Yes, that had to be it.

Gia and Vance had stared through those windows for so long, looking in awe and wonder at the unusual animals they had in there. Well, some of the animals weren't that different from what the two of them were used to seeing, like a cat, for example, but there had also been animals like owls and toads too, as well as little pink and purple balls of fluff that were just adorable. Gia had begged her father to get one, but he hadn't seemed to think that she was ready to own a pet yet. Still, the first year knew exactly what she was going to ask him for on her birthday the next time it came around. . .

Henry told her that he was excited as well, agreeing with what she had said a few seconds earlier. "Good," said Gia in a joking tone, her words accompanied with a grin, "Because this is definitely going to be a lot of fun." The conversation paused for a moment as she took out her guitar and strummed it a couple of times, warming up. When she looked back at her friend, he was smiling at her in a way that made her want to smile again too. He also didn't seem even remotely nervous about singing with her after so long either, which was something he most likely would have a few years ago. "Okay then, what about. . ." She paused to think, hoping a good song would come to mind. Right as it did and she opened her mouth to tell Henry what it was, he spoke. "You read my mind!" The Gryffindor exclaimed with a laugh.

"Okay, how about we sing both? We can do Only Us first, and then Story of Tonight if you'd like," she offered. "And then maybe we can sing It's Quiet Uptown or History Has It's Eyes On You?" Gia liked Hamilton better than Dear Evan Hansen if she was being honest, but just by a very, very tiny bit. Still, she loved both of the musicals a lot, and didn't mind which one they sang the most songs from. Remembering another song from Hamilton, she added, "Ooh, maybe we could sing Helpless too—I'm trying to think of songs that are mostly singing singing, not rapping, just so you know." She smiled. "We can do raps too, though. . . they're fun to do."

Then, waiting for his answer, she began to play a few chords she knew were in Only Us very softly.

Note: I actually haven't watched Dear Evan Hansen yet, but it seems really good from what I've read and heard. So. . . if I get anything wrong about it just tell me and I'll fix it. :) I've watched Hamilton a bunch of times and know all the songs by heart though. . . ;)

Henry nodded toward Gia with a smile before looking back at his orange feline come and stretching Loki's ears a bit as usual through the cat didn't purr or should any other sign of affectionate as Henry spoke" yeah over the summer my brother and I got him at Magical Menagerie. He was returned three times and quite untrusting the owners said but he liked me so," scratching Loki's ears for another moment before stopping and turning back to Gia as Loki stretched out in the grass around a foot or two from the duo.

Remembering as Arthur brought him the feline from money that he saved up from looking part times at the leaky cauldron. Henry was more then thankful to have the cat but also felt rather bad that his brother spent his own money on him. However Henry made a promise to himself that one day soon he will pay off every galleon that Loki cost no matter what his brother said and the twelve year old was hoping to starting earning money that summer if any place would hire a thirteen year old.

"It's going to be wicked," Henry replied to Gia with a laugh upon hearing her comment that had a hint of a joke in it. However the conversation continued and Henry would listened to Gia strum at the guitar, listening remember the one that he found in his attic and how he was teaching himself. Maybe he could get Gia to give him a lesson?

"Your still bloody amazing at playing, Red tigresse," Henry spoke including a nickname for his friend. It wasn't unusual for Henry to give his friends nicknames however Tigresse is the french word for Tiger in English, a nickname that Henry gave to her around two years ago since he remembered that she wanted to learn French.

Henry brushed a few strands of hair from his face and laughed a bit witu a nod before hearing her other suggestions which were all Hamilton. The boy wasn't that knowledgeable witu any Broadway shows/musicals but he knew that his friend knew a great deal about Hamilton as he listened to her suggestions before speaking.

"What about we do; Who Lives Who Dies Who tells your story, first then let's do; it's quiet uptown before going to Only us and History has its has on you. Uh, is that good? Of course we don't have to and you can chose the first sing as well," Henry spoke flashing his eyes downward for a moment from embarrassment, confidence was still a bit new to the anxious boy.

Upon hearing her voice, Henry would look back toward Gia with a smile and nod to her words before waiting for her to be completely finished as he spoke" Helpless is good and Burn to, if I remember you have a great voice for that song," Henry would smile at his friend before falling silent to listen to her.

OOC Note: I technically haven't watched Dear Evan Hansen either... I just know the story and songs kind of by heart but I love Hamilton a bit more!!! pains me to write Henry so idiotic to it so perhaps start with that and maybe a rap... yes I memorized the raps

The young Gryffindor smiled. "That's cool—I asked my dad for a pet, but he didn't think I was old enough yet. Whenever he decides I am old enough, I think I'll get a cat too. . . or one of those little pink and purple puffs of fur." she laughed, realizing only then that she actually didn't know what the creatures were called, and then explained this to her Slytherin friend. "My dad didn't want to go into the shop at all because of the owls flying around, so I didn't catch their name. They're definitely adorable, though!"

After he told her it was "going to be wicked," Gia nodded. "Yes, it is—but maybe we should start singing and playing the songs instead of continuing to say how fun it'll be." she said with another giggle. Smiling to acknowledge his compliment, she noted the use of her old nickname that he'd come up with a while back when the two of them were much younger. Well, not much younger, but. . . younger. "You know, I honestly do think that I need to come up with a nickname for you. . . I guess that's one thing I'll work on in between this meeting and the next, huh?" she grinned as her mind began to start thinking hard about what she could call him. His nickname for her was a good one, and she wanted to give him one that was just as good.

After she'd finished warming up on her guitar and suggested a few songs, Henry came up with a good order of his own. "All right, that sounds good!" Gia smiled warmly at the second year when she noticed that although most of his anxiety (like his stuttering) was gone, he still became slightly nervous when suggesting his own ideas. "No, no, I like your order." the eleven year old said quickly. Her mind had turned from nicknames to Hamilton, and only a few moments after she said this, another song popped into her head. When she told Henry what it was, he agreed and also added another song to the list they were planning to sing: Burn. "Oh! I can't believe I forgot about that one! It's actually one of my favorites. . ." Shaking her head, the girl remembered he'd given her another compliment as well. "Thanks," she added hastily, shooting him another grin.

Then, trying to recall the exact order he'd said the songs in, Gia said, "So. . . we're starting with Who Lives Who Dies Who Tells Your Story, then moving on to It's Quiet Uptown, and then singing Only Us, History Has It's Eyes On You, Helpless, and Burn?" With another chuckle, she added, "We're almost singing the whole musical!" An idea suddenly appeared in her mind and the girl looked over at her friend with excitement evident in her eyes. "Ooh! What if we sang songs from one musical each time we meet? I mean, not this time, obviously, since we're also singing Only Us, but the other times?" It seemed like a good idea to her, but she waited to see what the Slytherin would think before saying anything else.

Henry listened to his gryffindor friend talk about pets and getting either a cat or pink/purple balls of fuzz.

Henry listened to her describe the creature as he himself started to think about what she could be referring to since not many pets fit that description.

Balls of pink or purple fuzz? Definitely not a type of owl or cat... that doesn't sound like. It doesn't sound like a frog either nor a rat which limits the allowed pets down by a lot. Wait that does sound like a Pygmy Puff! Yes that has to be it.. it's the only one that makes sense..

"A Pygmy Puff? Sorry, it's just it sounds like you were talking about a Pygmy Puff," Henry spoke before the conversation continued on.

Henry nodded toward Gia with a smile as a way to say lets start while the boy leaned his back against the tree and rested his hands on his knees before laughing a bit about her comment on nicknames as the boy spoke " I wish you luck then and excited for what you can come up with," Henry replied before the conversation continued.

Then there was some discussion with the order in which Henry was feeling almost anxious about and didn't like doing his suggested order so the twelve year old stayed silent with a bit of a nod and smile toward his gryffindor friend.

However a order was settled on and Henry nodded toward Gia when she restated the order along with her comment as Henry spoke " sounds brilliant, ready to begin?" His British accent stinking in with every word as he cleared his throat and prepared himself to stay singing the first song; Who Evers Who Dies Who Tells Your Story which was one that Henry liked listening to but never got the full meaning probably because it was written about muggle history.

Henry heard his friend's suggestion and just nodded with excitement as the twelve year spoke" I love that idea! Alright so that's how were going to be doing these meets from now on mate," Henry smiled at his friend before adding " ready to begin?"

Gia could tell that her friend was thinking about which animals she was talking about by the contemplative look on his face. Giving him a few moments to think without her speaking and interrupting, she wasn't too surprised when he suddenly asked if it was a. . . pygmy puff. . . that she was talking about. "Ooh, maybe," Gia said, cocking her head to the side ever so slightly as she thought about it. "Yes, that'd make sense. They were pretty puff-looking, I suppose." The first year giggled. "I'll have to go back to Diagon Alley to see what they're called for sure some time. I should definitely know their name before I get one, if that ever happens." Gia gave Henry a grin.

The Slytherin boy smiled, showing Gia that he was ready to start singing. Then, however, upon hearing her nickname that he'd come up with a few years ago, she decided to add in a short side conversation. Why not? Henry's next comment made the eleven year old laugh along with him, and she nodded. "I'm pretty good at coming up with nicknames, if I do say so myself." the girl said jokingly. "It might take a bit, though. . ." Their conversation moved onto the order of the songs they should sing. By now, Gia was getting slightly impatient for she simply wanted to start singing, but she hid it well. When they finally agreed on the order of things, the young Gryffindor clapped her hands together in excitement again.

"Yes, I've been ready since I got here!" she said with another giggle. They were going to start with Who Lives Who Dies Who Tells Your Story, one of the songs that Gia could listen to over and over again without stopping. Well, okay, fine, she could do that for every single song in the play, but. . . whatever. That wasn't the point. The reason that this song was so. . . good to Gia was because of the main chorus—the part that the whole song was named after. For some reason that she couldn't quite place, the words "You have no control who lives, who dies, who tells your story" just seemed to make her think, if that made any sense.

After grinning even more when Henry told her that he liked her idea, Gia nodded. "Ready!" she said happily, and began to strum a few opening chords on her guitar. Then, once it was time to begin singing, the first year kept her voice quiet so that it was mainly her friend who could be heard, not her.
