A warm start... and a freezing end
Today was the day. Taylor was going to swim in the Lake for the first time in her life ! She was excited. She curled out of her nice warm bed and got into her swimming costume. She was assuming it would be cold outside so she had slipped a nice fur coat around her shoulders.
Taylor walked out of the Great Hall after breakfast and she ran, straight away, into the Hogwarts grounds. She squealed excitedly when she saw the Giant Squid leap out of the lake and back into the lake again. It didn't put her off one bit, Taylor was crazy to want to go into the lake the other students thought, but Taylor was too excited and hooked on the lake to notice all of the stares she was getting from everyone. She shook her fur coat of herself and walked close to the lake. Taylor took a deep breath slowly, and walked into the lake elegantly, sure, it was cold, but not extremely cold ! "Not cold at all..." Whispered Taylor. She decided that she would get out of the lake, climb the hill that was nearby and jump off of it and into the lake, she was always doing crazy things, anyway, she was a crazy girl, with a crazy family, with a crazy life. It was so normal for her to do this, after all, she was crazy...
After Taylor had made it to the top of the hill, she glanced down at the lake. "I'm ready" She told herself. By now, every single student had their head poked up at the hill Taylor was standing on. Everyone was curious as to what would happen. SPLASH !!!!!!! Taylor had jumped off the hill into the lake. No one could see her at all, just a few bubbles. What would happen ? Was she dead ? Was she alive ? No one knew... Except Taylor...
Wow ! Taylor was alive ! Her body floated to the surface and drifted back onto the Hogwarts grounds. She was asleep... or under concussion... anyway... she was absolutely freezing ! Her body was carried up to the castle where she was brought to the Hospital Wing. Taylor probably had pneumonia, anyways, it wasn't a big surprise, she was always doing crazy things!

A warm start... and a freezing end
Throughout his tenure as the prefect patrolling the Great Lake, Pericles had seen several students fished out of its icy waters. More often than not, this was the end result of bullying, as tormentors evidently deemed throwing someone into the lake the pinnacle of pranks. People did not usually go for a swim of their own volition, especially not in this sort of weather. It would come as a tremendous surprise when Pericles- presently out for his morning jog across the grounds- caught wind of excited chatter. Students scattered around the shore had seen someone approach the lake in a bathing suit. With dread and disbelief, he raced towards a gaggle of what was surely spectators. He was too late. The girl had already leapt, and even gone into shock. Somehow, instead of sinking to the bottom, she washed ashore. Intimately familiar with the use of the Hot Air Charm, the prefect drew his wand tried to blow her dry before pneumonia set in, then with some help, saw her unconscious body escorted to the hospital wing.@Taylor Bumblebee
Leaping into an icy lake was crazy, which Taylor knew, seeming to revel in the idea of doing something wild. But being a Crazy Girl did not always mean one was being quirky and entertaining. Sometimes, it merely meant you made poor decisions. Rules had been broken in front of an audience. To make matters worse, this was a Ravenclaw, one of their own, and he felt all the more responsible. A warning wouldn't suffice this time, thus a letter was left at her bedside table:Miss Bumblebee,
Your dip in the Great Lake was a violation to two school rules:
6. Students may not swim in the lake without staff supervision.
20. No attempting to injure yourself or others.
As a consequence (aside from your hospitalization), I regret to inform you that you are being sentenced to detention. Please be in attendance at 10:00AM on February 27th in the second floor's unused classroom.
