He talked to himself, sounding oddly bitter."...I miss my mama and pops. Missed the food, miss that little dog that use to come by and would sit outside of our door. I still gotta name him. Charles? Clifford - No, that would be dumb and that was a stupid book, anyway."
But it was for good reason! For anyway. Maybe it was something that most wizards went through, maybe muggle-borns and half-breeds like Keenan, himself. However, even when his parents told him time and time again, they told him that spending as much time in the muggle way of living is going to cause something like this and learning about Hogwarts will lessen the effects.
He said, pouting. Day and night, with learning experinces by hierloom of knowledge itself. His father, of course. Can't forget about his mother too. But, with an aching in his heart, he actually missed home."Well, that was a big fat lie, now was it?"
With it being early morning and being near by a lake, it was cold as well. Even his newly brought robes wasn't cutting it.
But with a castle like Hogwarts which have been larger than most buildings he knows about. Perharps this even outshines the Empire State Building in the States! As he looked around, he didn't see anyone and why would anyone be around here in early morning anyway.
He would be walking on the edge of the water and if he could find any stones, good skipping stones in fact, he'll be throwing into the mouth of great lake for a little before heading inside the castle where there was actual warmth.
Keenan went sometime talking to himself about what "spell" of warming himself up would work and it appears none of them were working at the moment."Don't they have a spell for things warm. Like, Warmus Mebus or uh...
How shocking.

The Unfortunate Encounter
Everything was..... a mystery nowadays. So many new things happened everyday that it was getting rather difficult to keep track at this point. It was likely enough to overwhelm an adult completely, but surprisingly Maggie didn't seem too phased by it, rather it seemed like she was enjoying herself maybe a little bit too much.
All these new things were intriguing to her and her endless curiosity was being sated constantly. One could call it a dream come true in a way. The train joruney, the boat ride - it had all been amazing and this place was even more so. There was so much to see and explore that she couldn't help but wander around whenever she possibly could.
Such was the case this morning, early before any of the daily classes began. The lack of the usual hustle and bustle was perfect for exploration, but it seemed like she wasn't the only person to have the same idea. In the distance Maggie noticed a singular figure, but she couldn't quite make it out from that far away.
'This could be fun.' The girl thought as she wrapped her robes tighter around herself, not that it would make any real difference as she was already wearing a grey sweater underneath along with the signature first year skirts ((OOC I do hope this hasn't changed)). Most people would likely be boiling already even at this time a day, but to her it was just perfect. The joys of being far too sensitive to the cold.
Maggie would slowly begin making her way over towards the other individual, having little to no regard to stranger danger, something her parents would have told her off about if there were here, but hey there weren't! It was time to meet new people and see new things! She couldn't help but let out a light chuckle.
"G..good morning!" The girl spoke up in a cheerful tone as she neared, announcing her arrival so as not to spook the other person. When and if they did so they would be met with what can only be described as a ghostly-pale girl, standing barely above 4' 2, with snow-white hair and deep blue eyes. Her robe clearly donned the crest of ravenclaw, which was also rather noticable from her blue tie. "Cold isn't it?" Maggie would quickly add with a wide smile.

With skipping stones across the lake for a couple of short mintues as each stone causing a variants of ripples.
Funny enough, with the large space and the way the stones made loud noise, even if he was a couple of meters away from where he threw it.
It even sounded like, "Good Morning."
His mouth dropped, agapped. His face turned rosy-tint with his dark complexion.
...Though, they sounded near his age. A tad girly but perfects could have the magical ability to be tricking Keenan.
Can they do that with magic...?
The girl would see the puff of hair was slowly shifting his postion, facing her akwardly with a derpy laugh. He looked like he got caught by a grown-up but his whole shocked expression appeared to calm.
Kinda short, honestly. But she was a girl, after all.
Her skin, a completely different spetrecum of complexion compared to Keenan's. Her skin looked soft, oddly warm even with her awfully pale skin as well as white hair.
Keenan was about 4'11, with the lack of skin care or hair care like most boys. His skin was around the color of clay-dirt as his hair was a worn-out ambur color. Speaking about his hair, it appeared to be loosely arranged into braids in the back while a puff of hair was left dangling onto his forehead.
With a hunched back, shivering ever-so slightly, continuing.
An ugly yellow, he finally found it. Putting his wand into his left hand as he threw the scarf onto his neck so later he could tighten later.

As he picked up another stone as he was about to crank out another one before everything sounded to click in his ever-shrinking brain."Hehe, blimey. Hogwarts got magic-talking stones now. This place is weeeeeird. -"

Keenan sounded relieved, as the embarssed color on his face started to disappeared. With the wimpy panick started to leave him, this was a good oppurinity to see what she actually looked and..."Oh! Thank gosh. Thought you were a perfect, they like snitchin' and I don't know all of the rules and I ain't having detention.

Keenan said, smiling weakly as his shyness creeped up within him but she was nice and it wasn't a lot of people around so it wouldn't hurt to be social."Freakin' cold!"
With a hunched back, shivering ever-so slightly, continuing.
Keenan continued again as he dug into his pocket, accidently pulling out his wand so he could try to find his scarf."Ya' don't appeared cold, lucky. I think I got a scarf in my pocket."
An ugly yellow, he finally found it. Putting his wand into his left hand as he threw the scarf onto his neck so later he could tighten later.
He did a little chuckle. What a dork."Say, you gotta wand! Let's compare 'em. Oh yeah, Name's Keenan! Meh wand is Aspen, heard in the book that revolutionaries, like good guys, usually got these, heeh. Anyway, I like it 'cause it looks like an elepant tusk."

'There are magic stones?' Her eyes would widen slightly at the proposition. Were there more magic things? Cars? Boats? Wait there were magic boats she had already seen them. A magic tablet with all the games she wanted? That would be amazing! She couldn't help but smile at the thought.
"Prefect?" Maggie would ask out loud as she tried to remember where she had heart that before. 'Prefect...ah those people She would remember reading in the rulebook they had been given. "It's not before six am and you aren't swimming in the lake!" The girl would nod with a wide smile as she recited the two rules in question off memory. It seemed her companion was one of those who got worried over nothing by the looks. Then again if he had read the rules he would have known that there was nothing to worry about honestly.
"I'm quite cold as well. I do have a lot of layers though!" She would announce in that same cheerful tone, slightly opening her robe in order to show her sweater, but not enough to let too much cold air inside. That would just end up being plain uncomfortable for her after all!
Maggie would shake her head. "Mommy told me to keep it safe. It was really expensive so I want to look after it." The girl would rest her right hand against her thigh where the leather holster, she and her mother had made together was located. "I am Maggie. Mine is made of aspen wood as well. The old man at the shop said that it also had the feather of a phoenix. It might be better if you put it away. What if you ended up dropping it and it broke?" She would ask with a clear hint of concern in her voice. It would be bad if that was to happen after all!

"I Suppose That I Should Get Out and Do Something."
They stretched and looked out into the window of the common room. The Slytherin common room as well as the dungeon itself was actually underground. The windows of the common room saw out into the depths of the lake. Sometimes you could even seen fish or creatures swim by. It scared Faolan a bit. It scared them to know that such big creatures that you wouldn't normally see if you were just in a boat on top of the water, could be seen though the window of the place that they were going to be staying for the next 7 years.
They sighed and folded their lips over. Getting up out of a chair that they were sitting in, they walked over to the fireplace in the room and stood in front of it. It was so warm, and nice over by the fire. They hoped it stayed that way, warm, peaceful, calm.
"Well this is very nice." They smiled a small bit, however their smile began to fode into a blank expression. "I'm so bored...I wonder what Keke's doin'."
They were referring to their cousin, Keenan. They two had occasionally kept in contact. "Occasionally". They two had lived together in their uncles house with their family. Now which uncles' house it was was a whole other argument in itself, but nonetheless, the two talked almost every day. Faolan smirked. "Maybe I'll go find him." They said and smiled.
They tied up their black boots and grabbed their scarf. Faolan was almost always cold, no matter where they were, no matter what time it was, they were cold. They fixed their black robe and put the two ends into the robe after tying the scarf around their neck. They walked out of the common room door and into the hallways. Knowing Keenan , he would probably be out exploring somewhere due to the fact that it was so early and it probably wouldn't be inside the the castle.
"Hmm...I guess i'll try outside. Maybe there's something out there. Plus i guess I could use some fresh air."
* * *
A few moments later after having lost their way in the castle then finding their way out, Faolan walked through the trees and over the the diving docks only to discover that they were right about their thoughts. Keenan was there, however he wasn't alone. He seemed to be talking to a girl. Though they didn't want to intrude. They were a few meters away from the two and looked around from a tree every now and then.Quietly though, they listened and softly breather. They didn't want to be caught, despite that they stepped on a twig while trying to shift in their spot.
"Oh Shoot." They whispered.

It took a moment before it clicked in his head, once again. He looked at his wand before looking at Margarita,
Still, it did feel good to still hold onto.
With a sigh as Keenan weakly nodded his head in the request of Margarita, he put his wand into his robe pocket.
Wide.
He turned around, facing Margarita, explaining to her,
He would walk a little bit, away from the group and a little bit ahead of them.
He did a shy, cheeky smile as he didn't want to admit that he was at fault for taking his wand out as he didn't even know any spells with the damn thing, anyway. The most thing that happened with it would be a purple sparks and then nothing."Well, I knew that."
Still, it did feel good to still hold onto.
With a sigh as Keenan weakly nodded his head in the request of Margarita, he put his wand into his robe pocket.
He said, almost sounding relief."Ya' know, Margarita. You have to be the first person that I've actually talked to that isn't a Hufflepuff, thank goodness."
He looked around before whisper next to her,"Sure, I love my house - Sorta, I'll get more into that later. I love my house but I need to find other houses to have friends with 'cause honestly... -"
Keenan's face had a moment of clear pity on his face but he closed his eyes for a moment before weakly smiling,"I have muggle friends at home and all of this magic stuff only been happening recently. I'm kinda out of place so..."
As he talking to Margarita was getting more interesting and the wind could only be felt only getting colder from where he was standing."Make me feel at home, ey?"
His usually lazily open eyes actually opened up."Say, I'm goin' to head back inside soon. I might - "
Wide.
Keenan liked to jest and slightly bully his cousin. It was all in good fun, however! Keenan would be holding his nose, as if he was smelling a terrible odor but he was clearly kidding." Faolan, ya' stick out like a bloody sore thumb! - Yer hair is literally the color of a rose, weirdly enough, and I can smell your rose-wood wand from here. It stinks!"
He turned around, facing Margarita, explaining to her,
As he spoke, not really believing the words and more just a ingrained saying that he would hear from his many relatives that told him."This is my cousin, Faolan. Y'all should get to know the family of the Kingsman, honestly. Apparently, we have a long history in wizardry in Ireland."
He made a face, looking away from the both of them."Or what my pops like to tell me."
He would walk a little bit, away from the group and a little bit ahead of them.
He pondered, a interesting question for the eleven year old."I wonder how Hogwarts will shape our future."

As soon as Keenan finally put his hand away the girl would finally move her hand away from her thigh, relaxing her stance once more. It seemed like the person that she had ended up running into was a bit.... intriguing or at least didn't think that far ahead, though it might be her that was the weird one. Her mother had always taught her to look after her possessions, putting them back in their boxes once finished etc. Maybe other people weren't the same.
Maggie would briefly nod with a light smile. The girl would shift in her spot ever so slightly, shifting her weight from her left to her right foot, not really paying much attention to her immediate surroundings, rather trying to focus on what Keenan was saying. At first glance it seemed like he was one of those people who tended to ramble on quite a bit. She personally didn't mind really as people like that tended to answer any questions she might end up having my themselves, so it was easier in a way.
"Muggle? What is that?"
She would ask as he had growin quiet once more. It was a word she had heard before in Diagon Alley, but nobody had told her what it meant back then. They had somewhat avoided it really, as such she still had no idea that it would be something she would be associated with on a daily basis for the rest of her life.
Just as Keenan was about to ask her something the conversation derailed quite... spectacularly. Maggie honestly hadn't expected that sort of reaction at all and as such it really wasn't surprising that she ended up taking a few steps back and to the side, completely freeing up the direct line of sight to whomever her companion was screaming at. She just ended up standing there, with her back against the lake completely dumbfounded, mouth slightly agape.
"How rude. Shouldn't you be nice to family members?"
She would note, clearly completely in shock. It was more than obvious enough she had been raised to look at such acts as being bad and something that shouldn't be done. After all her parents had always taken utmost care to make sure that no such things happened and the people she had interacted with were much the same! All in all, to say that she had been sheltered was quite the understatement.
The girl would slowly relax from the initial shock, which was more than obvious in her posture and expression as both slowly mellowed out "It will be. I can't wait for lessons to start. Which ones are you looking forward to the most?"

The Unfortunate Encounter
As Keenan talked for a bit, letting go a little bit as talking to somebody felt...
Relaxing. With someone like her that he could relate with. Once Keenan gotten comfortable with somebody, his tendency of talking as if he was the center of the world and everything.
But a particular question that stand out to do the, 'Saaaaaay-whaaaat' face as his lips made an 'O'-shape with his lips.Keenan sounded genuinely confused on a wizard didn't know what a muggle was. It was literally the thing all wizards and every single descendant of a wizard should know of!"Mate, you don't know what a muggle is?"
Then the look of realization was physically plastered onto Keenan's face, grinning stupidly.Taking a good long look at Margarita,"Yo' a muggle-born, whooooa. Whooooooooa."The smile was still on his face as he thought, 'Bruh, this is actually unbelievable. Just think that you're a muggle that's nothing special and just thought you were a little weird and then BANG! You can go to Hogwarts and get out of the muggle world.'"Tha' gotta be the only reason. Either that or ya' parents failed educating ya'."
As he thought to himself, he took off his glasses before rubbing the inside of his eye as he tried to recall what his dad said about it.He said, more to himself to himself than Margarita."I think me pops said something about muggles being the non-magical population of the countries all around us, as well, including us Wizards. They don't currently know about us but honestly, that's all I know. How would it be bad if them muggles knew about magic, ey?"
Keenan joked."But apparently, you seem to be the few muggles - Well, muggle-borns - who are lucky to be at Hogwarts so count ya'self lucky to be at Hoggies, Margarita! And even luckier to be my friend, ehe."
Soon, Margarita commented on Keenan's "joking" but the dark complexion ginger gave his excuse,Coughing into his arm loudly, making a mistake about Faolan's pronouns again."Ah, me and Faolan be family. He - !"
Keenan said, the badger in him really roaring (or is it barking?) within him."They, they-they-they, really don't mind it and anyway, I'll stand up to Faolan even if some lame second year or third year tries to bully them. Wand or dang hands! No one messes with my friends and the Kingsman name."
His little fist shook slightly at the thought of anyone bullying his cousin but, was he just talking or did he really mean it?
He was a Hufflepuff, afterall and the sorting hat knew best...- Right?
Feeling the need to walk around a little bit as the two of them were a couple of feet behind Keenan now as he kept their back towards them but turn to answer her question,He pointed his index finger at the pale child,"Favorite class? Mostly Charms, though, Potions is pretty fun and Defense Against the Dark Arts is fun too! - In a spooky, Halloween sorta way.""What about you?"
