Opposite friends
Laila walked down to the school grounds in her favourite white shirt with a pink jacket and her bright blue jeans with a belt that she thought looked nice. Laila walked over to the Quidditch Pitch. Laila thought it was huge! Her dad had told her about Quidditch and how big it was, but she did not know it would be this big. Laila walked closer to the Quidditch Pitch. She stood on the middle of the Pitch, and looked around. She looked at all the circular goal posts. She also looked at the stands.
It was quiet as there was nobody there other than herself. Laila enjoyed the quietness of the place though she would like some company in such a big place. Laila just walked around the Pitch the cool breeze on her face. It was quite chilly. Laila kind of felt bad for the Quidditch players. What if it was just a cold day, and they had to play? She could imagine the cold air and how they would have to deal with it.
She crossed her arms, and walked faster so she could get to see more of the field while being warm. While she was moving she counted the tall goal post.

Laila noticed someone, a girl sitting down beside her. The girl had blue hair that Laila thought looked cool, and she was also pale, the girl wore black jeans with black boots and a black long sleeve shirt. "Hi" Laila said smiling at her. Laila sat down too. "I'm Lailaflora Ruby but you can call me Laila or Flora for short" Laila said.
Laila looked at her a little bit more and said "I like your hair". Laila did not know if the girl she's talking to would be nice to her, but Laila did know it was not right for her to judge someone by their looks. Sure the girl looks really...gothic, she could be a really nice person. You don't have to wear bright colored clothes to show that you are a nice person. Laila knew that because her parents told her.

"Yes, I like Quidditch very much. Thank you for the hair compliment," The girl said. "No problem" Laila told her. The girl stuck out her hand, and introduced herself. "Er, hello. My name's Stella Rose. Nice to meet you?" The girl Stella said. Laila shook her hand "Nice to meet you two" Laila said.
"If you were allowed to play Quidditch, what position would you play as? I would want to play as a seeker, because I get to work with the rest of the team." Laila told her.
"Anyway, what house are you in? Are you a first year? Do you like Hogwarts so far?" Laila asked her sounding really eager to know. Laila zipped up her jacket because she got colder as the chilly Autumn wind blew by her whole body which made her shake a little.
Laila took her elastic band from her pocket, and tied her hair in a high ponytail. Laila also found some candy in her pocket.
Even though Stella did not seem like the nicest person to talk to, Laila knew that the candy would cheer her up, because she did seem to be having a bad day. Besides candy was sweet and it would most likely sweeten up her day.
"Here you want some?" Laila asked Stella holding out one of the candies from her pocket. Laila smiled at her again.

Stella answered all Laila's questions: Stella would be a seeker, she's a first year, she's in Hufflepuff, and Hogwarts is good so far.
Stella did overreact when Laila just offered her some candy. She thought it was poison. "No it's not poison it's just candy see?" Laila told her taking
one of the candy. "You know, the candy kids take in Halloween." Laila told her " I would never poison anyone. I'm not a killer" Laila said. "Do you even know what candy is?" Laila asked her.
Laila moved away from Stella a little bit. "Erm you can calm down now." Laila told her. "Anyway, if you were a professional Quidditch player, what Quidditch team would you play for? Or if you were not, what team would you root for?" Laila asked her changing the subject. "I'd root for the Holyhead Harpies" Laila told her.
Laila ate another piece of candy. She wondered if Stella was allergic to candy. Maybe that's why she thought the candy was poisonous. "Oh! Are you allergic to candy? Laila could not believe what Stella said. How could she not know what candy is? Before Laila could say anything, Stella walked away. Without even saying bye. How rude. Laila thought to herself.
Laila got up too, and walked around the Quidditch pitch. She folded her arms as it began to get a bit chillier. She walked up to one of the seats to see what the view was like. Suddenly, Laila heard a sound. It sounded like a coconut hitting a human's head.
Laila walked over to where the sound came from, and saw that Stella hit her head on a bludger. Laila put her hands over her mouth. She giggled only a little bit. Karma. Laila thought. But that's not important. Laila shook her head, and went over to Stella. "What do I do? What do I do?" Laila mumbled to herself. If only she read books about what do when this kind of stuff happens.

Laila sighed with relief as Stella woke up. But Stella was acting like she lost her memory. "How can you not know who I am? I just met you like 2 minutes ago" Laila asked her. Then Laila realised Stella probably got a head injury or something but immediately after, Stella remembered who she was. "Laila? Huh?" Said Stella. "Yep it's me Laila!" She said. "Are you sure you don't need to go to the nurse? Do you remember your name? Do you know who you are? How many fingers am I holding up?" Laila said as she held up four fingers. "How did you fall anyway? What were you doing? Were you running? My dad always told me not to run unless it's necessary. I ever listened and ran all the time anyway even if it was on slippery ground. That was until now since you fell probably because you were running, but it could be for another reason." Laila told Stella. Laila got some candy out of one of her pockets and even though Laila knew it was not the right time to eat something that Stella thought was dangerous right infront of her; Especially since she just hit her head on something hard and might have gotten severe head injuries, Laila was really hungry and ate the candy anyway. After that, Laila stood up. "Do you need any help getting up?" Laila asked Stella while holding her hand out to her.
