He screws everything up, AGAIN.
Akore would rush down the hall. After bumping into someone, and dropping all his books he knew he needed to book it. Akore tried sliding on the corner and his left shoe stopped moving. As his right foot continued to slide to the left. Not being able to stop his foot in time his two feet collided together sending him to spiral face flat on the floor. Akore groaned and rubbed his head with his left arm.
After gathering all his books back up into his hands he resumed his mad dash to class. When he reached the door for the class. He then freed his right hand so he could open the door. When he walked into the class, he kept his face down as he walked to an open seat. He sat down to a girl in Gryffindor.
When he placed his books down on the desk he sighed because he dropped a page under the desk. When he came back from picking it up he hit his head on the bottom of the desk. When he tried to get out he hit his head again on the edge of the desk. After a few hits to the head, he got the paper and put it on his desk as the majority of the class was laughing at him. Sighing he waited until class started and was paired to the girl he sat down next to.
The young boy gave a sheepish smile. `` Hi I'm Akore... `` The boy stopped talking but his mouth was still open mid-sentence. He realized this was the girl he ran into. When tripped down the stairs. `` IM SO SORRY! `` The boy said this as his face turned red. The boy then looked down at his desk and started to fiddle with his fingers, as the Professor explained what they were doing today.

Ariana made her way to her potions class, chatting excitedly amid her new group of gryffindor friends, opening the door to her classroom she wandered in, taking note of her new surroundings. Getting out her quill, books, and any potion ingredients she would need, she swiftly moved to sit on the back table alongside her fellow gryffindor friends. The professor however, knowing her tendancy to chat and talk her way through every lesson, instructed that she sat in a desk, quite near the front, so to be sure that her brain would absorb at least some information today. She watched her friends faces fall with dissapointment and reluctantly made her way to the vacant desk, frequently casting her eyes to the back of the class to where her friends gave apologetic stares. Turning around and smiling to herself, she noticed that her place wasnt that bad at all, she could see a few of her friends from the other houses around her, all of which greeted her nicely as she had walked into the classroom. Everyone had sat down and taken out their books, wands and quills when suddenly the dungeon door opened again and a tall hufflepuff boy with dirty-blond hair walked into the classroom. He averted his eyes to the floor imediately as he went to find a seat.
He placed his books down on the desk, and I heard a sigh as he bent down to pick up a piece of parchment he had dropped off the floor. When he rose from picking it up he hit his head on the bottom of the desk. Ouch, I thought and I imedietly felt sorry for the boy as I turned around to see the majority of the class was laughing at him. His cheeks went slightly pink with embarrasment. The young boy straightned up and gave me a sheepish smile. "Hi I'm Akore... " He stopped talking but his mouth was still open mid-sentence. I frowned slightly, confused. " IM SO SORRY!" he blurted out. His face went red and he looked down at the desk avoiding eye contact, fiddling with his fingers. I touched his shoulder lightly, "My names Ariana" I said softly, smiling at him. He looked up at me and smiled, and I noticed that he had beautiful light green eyes, we turned back to the proffesor started to explain todays task.
Our project was to brew a forgetfulness potion. 'Quite simple' I thought. I got out my brass scales, phials, cauldron and various other ingredients, I turned to the boy working next to me. "Hey do you wanna work as partners?" I suggested. "Ya know cause professor said we could if we wanted to" He dropped his brass scales and hastily bend down to retrieve them from under the desk. "Sure.. uh yeah!" he answered, as he placed his cauldron on the table. " well okay so..." I frowned scanning the instructions for ingredients, "Aha found them.. okay so we will need Lethe River Water, mistletoe berries, and Valerian sprigs. My cheeks reddened at the mention of 'mistletoe', shaking it off, I bent over my textbook and read the first instructions; Add 2 drops of Lethe River Water to your cauldron and gently heat for 20 seconds. Then add 2 Valerian sprigs to your cauldron and stir 3 times, clockwise.
"Could you cut these up please?" I asked akore. " He took the sprigs and began chopping them up into finer pieces. I turned to unkork the small bottle of Lethe River Water in my hand. The wax around the cork was sealed tightly and no matter how much I tugged and pulled it wouldnt come of. "Need help?" said a voice next to me. I turned to see him holding out his hand smiling. I grinned and placed the bottle in his hand. He uncorked it easily and I stood there astonished as he handed it back to me. "I happen to be excellent at opening things" He chuckled. I giggled and turned back to the potion. Tipping the water and sprigs in, I stirred it three times and waved my wand in a rythmic pattern so that it created sparks to form around the cauldron. "We have to wait for it to brew now, but its going really well!" I said enthusiastically! "Meanwile, we can prepare the mistletoe berries, so what does it say next?" I asked. Akore scanned the instructions, "ummm... lemme check... oh, crush the berries into a medium-fine powder using the pestle then add 2 pinches of the crushed mixture to your cauldron" He grinned. I beamed delighted, as we began to crush the berries into a fine powder, then a sudden question came to my mind, I turned round to Akore "Are you always slightly clumsy or do you normally just get nervous?" I asked interested. I hoped I wasnt being rude, as I had a tendancy to speak my mind without thinking.

"My name is Ariana." She said. He looked up at her and smiled. Then we both turned back to the professor as he started to explain today's task. Out of the corner of Akore's eye. He saw Ariana turn. He turned his head to look at her. A thought passed through his head. "Hey, do you wanna work as partners?" Ariana suggested. He was going to nod his head when Ariana said. "Ya know cause professor said we could if we wanted to" Hearin tha Akore dropped his brass scales and hastily bend down to retrieve them from under the desk. "Sure. uh yeah!" Akore answered unsure of himself. Then he placed down his cauldron on the corner of the table almost dropping it. " well okay so..." Ariana said as he heard her flipping through pages of parchment. Trying to find the instructions. "Aha found them.. okay so we will need Lethe River Water, mistletoe berries, and Valerian sprigs. Akore finally looked over at her and saw that Arianas, cheeks had reddened at the mention of 'mistletoe.' After a short amount of time, Ariana finally spoke. "Add 2 drops of Lethe River Water to your cauldron and gently heat for 20 seconds. Then add 2 Valerian sprigs to your cauldron and stir 3 times, clockwise." "Could you cut these up please?" Ariana asked him. He listened to what Ariana asked of him. And took the sprigs and began chopping them up into finer pieces. When Akore finished his chopping he almost cut off his finger five time, but luckily for the boy, his finger was not injured. He then turned and found Ariana struggling to pop the cork off of the bottle. So he did what he thought was best, and offered to help. After easily taking the cork off the bottle he looked at Ariana's face. "I happen to be excellent at opening things," Akore said chuckling. And to his surprise, the girl giggled. Akore studied the girl's movements with her wand carefully because he always messes that part up. He smiled as he studied Arianas facial expression. He guessed she was very happy because she had a grin on her face as she worked. The more Akore studied the facial expression the more he was brought into a trance. As he worked through his mind why she was not mad with him from earlier. Out of nowhere she spoke and knocked him out his thoughts. "We have to wait for it to brew now, but it's going really well!" She said enthusiastically. "Meanwhile, we can prepare the mistletoe berries, so what does it say next?" As soon as she finished her question Akore was already looking through the instructions. "Ummm... lemme check... oh, we have to crush the berries into a medium-fine powder using the pestle then add 2 pinches of the crushed mixture to your cauldron" He then grinned. And she smiled back at him. After a few minutes of crushing the berries, his arm was tired. "Are you always slightly clumsy or do you normally just get nervous?" The question came out of nowhere. And Akore spirit sank. "Oh uhhhh." Akore stopped talking and if she paid attention to his facial expressions. She would know he did not want to talk about it. Akron took a deep breath in then exhaled. "I'm just generally clumsy." Akore then smiled and laughed. realizing the question wasn't that bad. And his spirits raised. As he remembered all of the times he messed things up. And he messes things up often. As he thought about this he realized he broke into a fit of laughter. He covered his mouth as soon as he realized. And after the class took their eyes off of him. He knew they were whispering about how strange he is. His whole face began to go red in embarrassment, as he sunk into his chair.

His laugh was infectious, I don't know why but it made me laugh too. Our sudden outburst of giggling caused people to look round at us inquisitively and out of the corner of my eye I saw Akore sink further down into his chair in embarrassment.
40 minutes later the bell rang and we all flooded out of the classroom. I found myself staring at the back of the blondies head as I wondered out of the dungeon, and I barely noticed Janet rush up behind me and jump on my neck excitedly. I was abruptly snapped out of my daze and I saw Akore round the corner and disappear out of sight. I turned round to see the rest of my group running towards me, either stuffing books into their bags or wands into the pockets of their robes. I realised that in my trance I had completely forgotten to wait for them. "oops!" I giggled. Janet stared at me and then let out a shout of laughter. "Whats so funny?" I questioned, putting my hands on my hips and pouting playfully. She straightened out at turned round to the rest of the group who were suddenly very giggly. "Whats going onnnn??" I whined, "You cant just leave me out on the joke!" Janet composed herself and turned to look at me, smiling. "Come on we'll be late for lunch!" And she grabbed my arm and dragged me down the corridor giggling. "You were you staring at that hufflepuff boy." She said in a kind of sing-song voice. "wern't you?!" She smiled triumphantly and waited for my reaction. "I-No-..wait...you can-t just.." I spluttered. I looked at the floor and felt my cheeks burn with embarrassment. "Anyway" I said in a kind of defiant voice, trying to steer the topic away from anything but that. She smirked, but changed the topic as we chattered on about quidditch, lessons, and all the exciting things so far that had happened at hogwarts. Although I couldn't help It as my mind began to stray to the kind hufflepuff boy, it was unfair that some people were so unkind to him, I thought. Maybe we could become good friends.
