Opeila was not focusing on the class. The talking of the professor as well as her classmates were merely blurry background noises, while the twelve year old scribbled on a little piece of paper. A post-it note from the stack she had taken from her old home in Cambridge.

One word was written on the post-it note. Seilun. The name would mean something to a few people in her year, but she didn't meet that many people in her first year actually. Her name was Winters now. She had returned to Hogwarts as a different person with a different name, and it hurt her. Opeila knew she was the last Seilun. With her, the line would end. No more after. Only Winters.

Opeila slowly drew a line crossing out the name. It was gone. Meaningless. Below it, she wrote a S and paused. What could one do with an S?
"Can you hand me the bat spleens?" A voice to her right made her wince and turn the note around quickly. "I- yeah. Sure." The gingerhaired reached for the jar and handed it over to the Ravenclaw girl, who asked.

S... Seiana? Seiara? Se... Opeila wrote her ideas down, not actually happy with any of them. Senna? Sierra? Susan? Sesuna? Se... Sezuna. Opeila wrote it down. Opeila Sezuna Winters.
For a moment she stared at it. Then, as if she only noticed what she was doing, she grabbed the note and slid it into her bag. Hid it.
No one could know where that name developed from. No one needed to.

Opeila had missed what they were doing in this lesson. Over the holidays she had developed a fullgrown dislike against the subject and avoided making potions whenever she could.
So she just watched her neighbour mixing something together, feeling weirdly peaceful inside. Opeila Sezuna Winters. It was no big deal, a second name she had given herself, but still it felt like she was carrying a piece of home with her.
