Information that may be relevant to Novus. Being a half-blood is uncommon due to previous litigation (refer to my earlier post) that is possibly beyond Novus' understanding. The magical world and the muggle world are very much separated our of not only fear but also tradition. Despite his heritage, having a muggle ancestry so recent as a parent, his contact with the muggle world would be very much limited. Wizard relatives would likely discourage him from seeing his muggle family, limiting visitation or insisting on their presence during limited visits. This is what makes Hogwarts so different, the amount of students born as first generation wizards or that came from mixed households has created a less homogeneous culture.
