Adam tapped his fingers gently on the wooden table as he struggled to spell the word bouquets. He was writing in big, bold letters — that meant that he couldn't afford any mistakes. When all of the u's were in their proper places (or as close as they would get), he smiled and turned the whole length of parchment around so that it faced the corridor.
FLOWERS, it read. FREE BOUQUETS. HAPPY EASTER!
Although it didn't look like much, this plan was weeks in the making. Adam had spent quite a while figuring out the busiest place in Hogwarts, and though it was hard to tell for sure, everyone in the castle seemed to pass by this spot in front of the doors of the Great Hall. With a venue located, he'd taken to his dorm room to practice his spellwork, whispering Orchideous into the late hours of the night. For once, Adam was grateful for the quiet of the rather empty Fourth Year Boys' room in the Ravenclaw tower. Finally, when the day came, he'd gone to the Small Hall and levitated a small wood table right out the door — through the hallways and to where it now sat in Hogwarts's foyer.
He'd made four bouquets in advance, both to ensure that he could reliably cast the spell and to give his potential customers something to look at. They could certainly grab one and go, but Adam was looking forward to making his schoolmates their very own bouquet right in front of their eyes. It was almost time for Easter holiday, after all, and what better way to celebrate the start of spring than with some magically-made flowers?
Everything was in place now, with the for-show bouquets arranged around the parchment, and Adam took a seat behind the table to wait. He crossed his arms, uncrossed them, and then crossed him again uncertainly. He tried to put on a sweet-but-not-smarmy smile — a salesman's smile. Hopefully, a crowd would start forming at any moment. Adam really wanted this to go well.
Because truth be told, this unauthorized flower stand was the riskiest thing he'd done all year. Since hearing that her son had been impaled at a Hogwarts dance last spring, Adam's mother had become a lot more involved in his school life. She'd warned, practically threatened him over the summer to stay out of trouble during his fourth year. If she got even the slightest hint that he was in danger, she would pull him out of school faster than you could say Side-Along Apparition. No doubt about it.
He was essentially grounded. Grounded! At fifteen years old! It was ridiculous, but Adam was too afraid to fight back against his mother for fear of being called home even earlier. He knew that he was lucky to be at Hogwarts, so he'd complied with her new rules and kept his head down the entire year long. For all accounts and purposes, he'd been a model student. But it had been so very boring. Adam wasn't a model student at heart. He liked to have fun, go on adventures, explore new places — and then sure, get an education sometime in between. Being under his mum's watchful eye all the time, knowing that she was following his every move even from far, far away was driving Adam mad.
This was his compromise. It was safe, good-natured, and for God's sake, it wasn't homework. Adam had never realized how much homework he was assigned until he'd actually sat down to do it this year. Maybe he'd get stopped, maybe he'd be reprimanded for not asking permission; that was a risk he was thrilled to take. He'd show his mum that he could stay out of trouble. And next year, when she wasn't looking anymore — well, Adam was going to do a whole lot more than conjure up some tulips.
Flowers. Free bouquets. Happy Easter. Adam repeated the words like a mantra and cast his smile around the room, waiting for his first customers to arrive.
This thread is open to Hogwartsians of all ages and houses! Feel free to stop by, chat with Adam, and pick up some flowers to celebrate the start of spring!

Alright, so Arista theoretically knew that spying (eavesdropping?) was unseemly behavior, but this time she hadn't meant it, she swore! She was on her way to her next class when she caught sight of... a flower stand? Right smack in the middle of school? She thought she was dreaming, or at the very least, hallucinating - wasn't this kind of thing supposed to strictly exist in markets and such?
Before she could form a more coherent thought though, a loud noise interrupted her thoughts, followed by a tumbling student (what a strange day this was), falling rather without grace straight to the table of flowers. Ouch. That must've hurt... Arista wished her first reaction to the scene unfolding in front of her was of empathetic kindness; one where she swiftly wondered if the witch was OK and if there was anything she could do to help. Alas, she found herself chuckling softly instead, somehow amused by someone else's misfortune. Her father would undoubtedly disapproved.
Largely out of guilt, Arista decided to approach the young witch and the older wizard manning the stand. In other circumstances, she might have fastened her pace to Transfiguration, ignoring the wizard with the flowers and keeping her head safely down. But she genuinely did feel bad for the witch who fell - and she supposed now she could also find out the reason why there were bouquets of pretty flowers among a busy stream of students in the hallway. Like shooting two birds with one stone.
"Here." Arista crouched down and helped fish out books and other tools from the ground. She turned to the young witch - she looked like she was the same age as her! - and handed them over gently.
"I'll happily chip in, too. These are beautiful," she said, offering a nervous smile. "I didn't expect to find something so pretty here, of all places. They truly made my day."
She was telling the truth. Back home, her head housekeeper would ensure there were fresh, large bouquets of flowers in the living room and a smaller one in his father's study every day. Her mother would instruct the gardener on which species to bring in each month - she had an almost encyclopedia-esque knowledge of plants that Arista sincerely envied. And so, spotting indoor flowers at Hogwarts made her fondly nostalgic of their mansion. She was miles and miles away from home, yet this simple stand with their colorful taste of spring brought back a million sweet memories.
"Oh, in fact, I'll buy the whole bunch!" Arista cried. "We could always use some fresh flowers back at the Hufflepuff dorms; I think everyone would love that, since it's spring and all, and..." she trailed when she noticed the sign to the side.
Free Bouquets, it said.
Arista's ears turned a bright shade of red. It wasn't even noon and she had already made a fool of herself! "I'm terribly sorry! I didn't know you weren't selling these."
She turned to her fellow witch and smiled weakly. "Maybe we could help distribute the ones that still look fine...? If you think that would be helpful, of course," she looked back to the flower stand man, biting her lips.
Then, almost like an afterthought, she asked, "Were you trying to get rid of them? Are these a flower charm gone wrong sort of situation...?
Arista hoped that didn't come off as too forward or anything. After all, she had her own mishaps with spells too; a Transfiguration spell gone horribly off track had turned several of her quill to sometimes moo in the dead of the night and develop an orange-y kind of hue. Really, she wouldn't think of him less if he was just trying to discard evidences of magic going south.

Cash was just been out from the library. Amongst all of the subjects this school teach their student, Transfiguration is the hardest for the second year. Sure they got E or O from time to time but still Cash dislike Transfiguration. And when the green eyes saw a student gathered near a table that full with bouquet, their interest piqued in.
As Cash closing in, Cash spotted a pair of first years that they have not seen before. It looks like the one with pink haired fell down and create some mess at Adam recreation. If someone done that to Cash, they will be mad. Then they saw the sign. The signed say free bouquet. Cash thinking it was a nice gesture.
The Slytherin Beater then stood beside Adam. "You are Adam, right?"Cash questioned the older boy. "I do not know if you remembered me or not but we met before. At one of Alan's tug o' war games ages ago"Cash said to Adam. If Adam did not have any recollection of the said event, Cash was fine with it but it was nice to meet a familiar face.
"If I were you, I will be mad"Cash stated a bit loud so the other two can hear it. "Free bouquet or not, what she had done was unacceptable"Cash expressed. Cash did not know where this hostility come from but there is no way to back away from it now. "By the way, what you did before it destroyed carelessly was a nice gesture"Cash throw a smile at the Ravenclaw boy.
Cash then picked up some of the tulips that still salvageable one by one. "How many flowers are in a bouquet?"The purple haired inquired the older boy. "I think I take one of these to give it to my girlfriend"Cash informed Adam while still picking the tulips that still intact. Cash just took after their father.
It is hard for them to expressed their feeling. And Cash did not know much about flowers. The young socialite also hoping Kara likes flower and is not allergic to it. If Kara did not like flowers or worst allergic to it, well the fresh bouquet of tulips could sat on top of Cash's study desk back at their dorm adornbly.

Rumors/gossip you might have heard about Henry ~ReducioHenry Knight
is overall a quiet and background type of guy which means there aren't many rumours about him going around but there are still a few that are spread around the school about him. Maybe you heard that he's a know it all or a geek/nerd that is at the top of all his classes in his year. Maybe you seen/heard that his hand is always up in any class and the boy always has the answer for questions pertaining to academics. Or maybe you heard that the boy is a sight for eyes with his dreamy blue eyes and perfectly tan skin. Maybe you saw him in the corridors and like most think that the boy is quite cute or had such beautiful features. Or maybe you heard about the rather popular rumour that the boy teaches himself advanced lessons and learns from his older brother during the summer holiday. Then there's the true and popular gossip that Henry Knight is a Duelist on the slytherin dueling team which leads to the rather popular rumours that the boy knows a few advanced but dark spells and jinxes.
The start of spring. Easter was finally here and the flowers were blooming in March. Henry has really never been the romantic type, actually he really was a idiot when it came to love but after a horrible valentine's day at the errand Henry figured maybe he should get Henry Llewellyn and Alexa Mackenzie something as least to celebrate the start of spring or something.
So the twelve year old would change into a sweater with his handy me down jeans and slytherin watch that he got from Rose Moon before deciding to leave his orange feline; Loki in his dormitory and head out to the grounds.
Upon taking a foot out in the grounds, Henry would take a breath for a moment everything seem still but that was also when he saw the familiar purple hair of Cash Ironwoods, one of his friends at least in Henry's opinion.
Henry approached but from where he was, he noticed that another was giving away bouquets of flowers for people and the boy thought it was a perfect gift for Henry Llewellyn and Alexa Mackenzie however that was also when he noticed Cash making a few comments about an ravenclaw girl who destroyed a bouquet it seem like.
Henry approached the group and stood next to Cash before speaking" hey Cash and I'm Henry Knight, from what I heard your Adam right?" offering a friendly smile before continuing" I'll take two bouquets for a few friends, this is a brilliant idea mate."
Henry then eyes the destroyed on with the ravenclaw girl before speaking" it's a shame that some people can't appreciate true beauty," before turning back to the two and smiling again as he spoke" but there's nothing you can do with ignorant people sometime," insults or comebacks were good with Henry, they easily came into his mind and rolled off his tongue so this was so simple to the boy unlike matters of the heart.

Things had certainly started off with a bang. All jokes aside, Adam was really worried about the girl who came barreling right into his table. It was a relief that she'd hit her head on the way up instead of the way down — he could've been looking at a much worse accident. As she sat up, Adam jumped out of his chair to help her; he got halfway around the table when another student came to her side, collecting the scattered things from across the floor. The girl looked at his sign, gave a cry, and started to apologize. What was she sorry about? It wasn't her fault that she'd...
Oh. Adam followed her gaze to the surface of the table, where one of his bouquets was crushed under a wayward book. There couldn't have been a more obvious symbol in the world. All the nice things that Adam got involved with got crushed, or bruised, or burned or broken. His heart ached for the smushed flowers. Still, he didn't want the girl to feel bad about them (since it really wasn't her fault), so he reminded himself to keep up his smile. Adam listened to the girl introduce herself as Ginger, glad to finally put a name to the unfamiliar face, and his eyes widened as she offered to pay him. Something about...compensation?
No, that wasn't necessary at all! He knew that he should've made his sign more specific. He wasn't selling these flowers to make money off of them. He was giving them away to spread spring cheer. Besides, he could always conjure up another to replace the one that had been ruined. As Adam tried to deny Ginger's kind offer, the other student that had helped her up chimed in. Apparently, Adam and his flowers had made her day. That was good to hear!
"Thank you," he responded, sidling back towards his side of the table,"but you don't have to..." Suddenly, the second girl (the one that hadn't introduced herself) broke out of some kind of daydream and made a stunning announcement: she wanted to buy everything.
The whole bunch! Now things were really getting out of hand. Adam had a feeling that he wasn't supposed to be taking money from younger students. He didn't know how to correct the girls without flat-out interrupting them. Luckily, he didn't have to figure it out. The girl — she was a Hufflepuff, he knew that much now — noticed his sign and rushed to correct herself. She was clearly embarrassed by her mistake. Adam smiled, hoping that it would reassure her.
"Yep, they're totally free! So no need to worry about any type of payment. Accidents happen." The Hufflepuff, the more talkative of the two girls, glanced at him and asked him a question that made him laugh in surprise. It was a smart idea, using this kind of ruse to cover up a spell failure. But no, he'd been practicing especially hard to make sure he wouldn't get anything wrong. "Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with them. I really did just want to give away some flowers — I swear. No other motives to it."
Something else that the Hufflepuff girl had said was nagging at his mind. She'd offered to help him spread the flowers around, hadn't she? Or at least spread the word. He didn't want to lose control of what was supposed to be a small operation, but maybe it would be smart to have some people talking about his table. Just to make sure that everyone who wanted flowers, got flowers. He was about to bring the idea back up when a familiar face arrived.
"Cassandra!" Adam exclaimed as the Slytherin student from Alan's game of Tug-o'-War reintroduced herself. "Cash, I mean! 'Course I remember you! It's good to see you again!" Cash wasn't wrong; it really had been ages since they'd seen each other. Adam was about to ask Cash how they'd been when they raised their voice so that the two other girls could hear them and told Adam that he should be mad about the flowers. What? He wasn't mad. It was just a silly accident — they'd covered this! He let the comment slide, but made sure to smile extra wide at Ginger next time he looked at her to let her know that there were no hard feelings.
At this point, another Slytherin joined them. He greeted Cash and introduced himself as Henry Knight, a name that rang a bell somewhere in Adam's mind. "That's me!" he confirmed when Henry asked his name. "Two bouquets coming right up for your friends — and one for your girlfriend, Cash. I'm sure she'll love it. I can count how many flowers are inside if you'd like." He didn't know the answer to her question off the top of his head, aside from a lot. Adam picked up his three remaining bouquets and passed them to his Slytherin companions, making a mental note that he'd have to replace his display stock once everyone left.
While he was sweeping the crushed petals of the ruined bouquet onto a back corner of the table, Adam heard Henry say something that was clearly directed at Ginger. It was more direct than Cash's remark, and Adam knew he couldn't ignore it a second time. He raised his voice so everyone could hear him and brandished a single tulip (the only one that had survived the flying books) to make his point.
"Listen, it was nobody's fault! And I really, really promise that I'm not mad about anything. Honestly, it makes the whole thing a little more exciting — as long as you're okay, Ginger, of course. It wouldn't be exciting if you got hurt. But anyways!" He jabbed the tulip through the air to punctuate his words. "I set this whole thing up to make people happy! There's no need to fight!"
Careful not to get too preachy, Adam dropped the flower and sat back down behind the table. He glanced between his four schoolmates and pulled out his wand, twirling it between his fingers. "So. Would you like anything else?"

Don't you Just love spring?
Sometimes, you had to take your time to see the beautiful things in life. In Paige's eyes, everything was beautiful. She was surrounded by nature, and beautiful, wonderful people everyday. And flowers, flowers are Mother Natures way of laughing. Live a little, laugh a little. And Paige loved spring. It was as if Mother Nature was waking up after a nice nap, and felt well rested. The flowers come to bloom, the weather is simply amazing, spring was just amazing.
And getting the chance to enjoy was wonderful. It was a pretty day out as usual, and Paige had a bag slung over her shoulder. She wasn't in any type of rush at all, and she strolled across the hall, but something caught her eye. It was sign, but actually, no. What caught her eyes were the flowers below the sign but she shifted her eyes to the sign. Free flowers. She smiled as she walked over just in time for a boy to ask if there was anything else they needed. Paige was guessing he set this whole thing up, and paige thought it was a great idea.
"yes, I would like just one, please. This is a beautiful idea by the way, you're very kind." She beamed at the boy. After the flower was handed to her, (if there are any left, of course) She would turn around before spinning around again and holding the flower put to the boy who had set it up with a goofy grin. "Tada! I'm spreading the happy feeling for you!"

Stunned by the flurry of exchanges that just happened in front of her, Arista blinked, trying to process everything. Then, once everything was registered in her head, she tentatively reached down to her pocket, pulling out several tiny bird figures delicately made from paper; each one no bigger than a fist.
"Hey. You're okay," she said with a smile, addressing the clearly distressed girl with the pink hair [@Ginger Crowdy]. Taking the other's hand gently, Arista gently fold in the bird on her palm, hoping it would help calm her down.
She distributed the rest of the little paper aviaries to the others as well: to the kind flower stand wizard who probably could've stabbed someone with that tulip on him [@Adam Harringtom]; the lady with the girlfriend and green eyes [@Cassandra Ironwoods]; the cheery Hufflepuff who just arrived (she caught glimpses of her at the Sorting Ceremony and liked her already - such a lovely presence) [@Paige Grant]; and even the intimidating-looking wizard [@Henry Knight]. All had paper birds on their persons now.
"They pair well with the flowers. Since, you know. Spring-ish themes," she explained. "It could also maybe help bring a little of nature and rivers and such with you? And your girlfriend might like it too..." she said deliberately, turning to the witch who looked her age [@Ginger Crawford] and the older one with the sharper tongue [@Cassandra Ironwoods]. She didn't dare look at the other wizard [@Henry Knight], one who agitated the girl who fell - he looked like he could possibly made her cry just by glaring.
In truth, the paper birds she brought were results of her failed attempts in performing the Reparifarge spell; she had tried to turn back some poorly Transfigured parchment papers (which was then a light brown-and-orange colored parchment with a strange feathered pattern) back to their original forms, but she had only managed to Transfigure them into paper birds instead. Still, she rather thought they looked cute. Less flapping and all made them more endearing, somehow.
She was glad it came in handy, though; Arista had hoped they could diffuse the situation a little bit. She really did feel bad for her fellow first year (at least, she guessed the pink-haired witch was the same year as her) and the flower wizard. They seemed like genuinely kind people... But she supposed the students that had made snide remarks probably did so in an attempt to uphold justice as well. The first year did destroy those flowers, and perhaps they thought that was unjust. If so, could she really blame them for being a tad bit nasty at her?
Then, snapping back from her thoughts, Arista added. "I'm Arista Elderman, by the way. Ari is fine too." She beamed, pushing her away the stubborn thought in her head saying No one asked, you're just making this worse for yourself. Arista sincerely hoped her nervously trembling hands wouldn't give her away.
She inhaled a quick, small breath before smiling again.
She could very well leave now - confrontations made her teary and queasy, anyway - but she felt like she should stay; just in case the flower wizard needed help, or the other, older students made the younger witch excitably upset again.
And so, anxiously shifting her feet, Arista stood by.

When Adam greeted back. Cash beamed at the older boy. Cash was glad that the Raven remembered them. "Likewise. It is good to see you too again"Cash told Adam. Adam then picked up the remaining bouquet and passed it to the green eyes. "I hope she does too"Cash stated.
The purple haired then looked down after the bouquet of flower is on their hand. "That was not necessary"Cash exclaimed to Adam after the second year look how many flowers was in the bouquet. Not long after Cash let out their snide comment, a familiar face and voice greeted their ear.
"Oh, hey mate!"Cash replied Henry back. Henry also said to Adam that he will took two bouquets of Adam's creation. Cash rose their eyebrow at Henry statement. "I did not know you such a player, H"Cash teased Henry. It seems Henry is in the same boat as Cash as he made his own remarked toward Ginger.
Henry went off at the clumsy first year by saying the girl can not appreciate true beauty and even calling out the pink haired girl as an ignorant. Cash had know Henry quite well but that side, Cash never see it before up until now. Did Cash thought Henry was over the line? perhaps but Cash will not called Henry out after he said that.
Adam was nice enough to try diffuse the soon to be heated argument between Cash, Henry and Ginger. Adam told all of his patrons that it was no one fault. He told the others that he made the flower stand to make other happy not fighting each other but that gone quickly as Ginger open her mouth.
Ginger was yapping on and on about what a Dee is and even explained how much she likes nature. Cash rolled their eyes. "Dios mio! (my god) would you shut your pie-hole? First of all, it is annoying. And secondly, no one ask"Cash took a deep breath. Ginger definitely annoyed the hell out of the green eyes.
"Adam was nice enough to try to diffuse the situation but no, you need to open up your dumb mouth and make it much much worser than it already have"Cash can not stand dumb people and Ginger is one of them. In the middle of Cash heated spat, another unfamiliar face come into the mix.
The girl that Cash assume is a first year (from how young her face is) come up to Adam's table and asking for a bouquet of tulips. When Adam hand it over to her, the girl would turn around and around. Finally she stopped and presented it back to Adam. Cute and a very Hufflepuff thing to do Cash thought to themselves.
"Looks like someone had a crush on you, Adam"Cash teasing directed to both Adam and Paige. Cash let out a chuckle. Then in another act of kindness, the Asian looking girl pulling out several tiny bird figures and distributed to the others. When Cash received theirx, Cash looked down on the tiny bird figure then back to its sender.
The girl introduced herself as Arista Elderman, Ari for short. "They pair well with the flowers. Since, you know. Spring-ish themes,"Ari explained. "It could also maybe help bring a little of nature and rivers and such with you? And your girlfriend might like it too..."The last bit was directed to the purple haired.
"Thank you?"The way Cash said it more like a question than a statement. The second year beater was unsure of what to do with Ari gift. "It was nice of you"Cash told Ari. Then something crossed their mind. The other had introduced themselves. Cash was thinking should they do the same?
It was a common courtesy, right to tell the others their own name? But at the end Cash opted not to do that. Surely the others had heard it when both Adam and Henry mentioned the young socialite name.

Technically Henry wasn't talking about or even toward the ravenclaw girl who destroyed Adam's bouquets of flowers, he seemly was mentioning something so if the girl don't offence to his words that only meant that she was guilty and was either too prideful or something to admit it.
The ravenclaw boy; Adam definitely wanted to keep the peace and Henry was the type to act ad peacekeeper to as he spoke" it is spring, why spark bicker between us when we can enjoy the season," before taking the two bouquets from Adam with a smile a she spoke" they really are lovely, " however when he heard Cash's comment about being a player, Henry would playful roll his eyes and playful reply" oh shut it will you, if anyone is the player here it's you. How many before Kara did you ask out," giving his friend a smirk before continuing as a joke" let's see, there was Cricket and Alec right? Then there was professor Professor Jensen, am I missing anyone Cash?"
The twelve year old would then laugh for a moment before retaking his emotions at the sound of the ravenclaw girl; Ginger who clearly didn't want to keep the peace. He was about to comment but Cash beat him to it and Henry just Henry Jay his friend's words before picking up where they left off, " yeah also I wasn't talking about you or toward you. So if you got offended by eavesdropping on another conversation I can't really help you there," before thinking for a moment for and giving a light smile as he spoke" and instead of discussing a Dee that nearly everyone knows about, perhaps you should focus your energy on keeping the peace."
Before turning back to Adam and Cash as he spoke to them, " so you two are friends right? Unless Adam your another that Cash had a crush on," giving his friend a playful smile before seeing another familiar face approach.
"Hey Paige," Henry waved to the girl as he watched her regift the flower to Adam and hear Cash's comment about her causing Henry playful grin as he spoke" leave her alone Cash," before letting his eyes linger on Paige with a smile.
Soon another join them and handed each a paper bird before introducing herself as Arista Elderman or Ari, Henry would offer the girl a smile as he spoke" these are beautiful Arista," mentioning the birds before giving a friendly smile and speaking"I'm Henry," and after a moment giving a playful smile as he spoke" and the purple hair player is Cash and the girl who may possibly have a crush on Adam is Paige."

Well, here we go
Paige would be smiling for some time, enjoying the beauty of it all. Ginger turned towards her. Ginger was a Ravenclaw Paige met in the library. Ginger rants facts a lot, which could be annoying sometimes, nut it was cute how passionate she was. She was about to smile at Ginger and say something before she noticed how people were looking at Ginger. Confused, her eyes drifted to the crushed flowers, and her face fell. She inhaled sharply and gently picked up a once lovely flower. It made her sad and she just didn't know why. Maybe because it was beautiful, it was living. It was peaceful, but now dead.
And she knew why people were upset with Ginger. She listened to everyone, and apparently Ginger took the comments too far, making them annoyed. Before she could speak, a girl with purple hair made a comment about her action. Paige frowned and turned towards the girl who was clearly older. She dug her thumbnail into her palm and bite back a remark. Only because her friend, Henry, told purple hair to knock it off. But clearly, it was amusing to him so Paige just rolled her eyes and turned to Ginger.
"Ginger, the flowers-" She shook her head. "I mean, from what I can tell, you took things to seriously after you crushed the flowers- " Why was Paige acting like this? She was just upset- what with the flowers- purple head's comment- it was all crazy. Then, a girl handed out birds and Paige thanked her. She playfully punched Henry on the shoulder, but maybe it came a bit stronger than intended, she wouldn't know. "Oh, sure, point out the Huffle for doing something nice"
