Confusion Sets In Ravenclaws

After the Sorting Ceremony, Sybil goes to join her new Housemates, only to find out something awful has happened. Her story at Hogwarts begins here...

Sybil walked over, preparing a warm smile to greet her new housemates and future friends with, but her smile slowly depleted as everyone seemed to be focused on something, or someone, else. Amid the gasps, shouts, and commotion, she heard bits and pieces from others that a boy by the name of Kaegen had been injured by what seemed like a rogue spell. Sybil couldn't be sure, but her new joy quickly turned to concern as she tried to get a look at the boy. However, he was already rushed out of the Great Hall, some Ravenclaws following behind him. She sighed, and sat down at one of the many new chairs at the Ravenclaw table. She sincerely hoped she wasn't the only new first year that was confused and had decided to stay. After all, she had read that experiencing a traumatic event together was a great way to start and build a good, healthy relationship. She looked up towards where the injured boy and his friends had left.

I just hope this is a traumatic enough event to set some friendship in motion She thought, though she immediately regretted the selfish thought afterwards, and focused more on hoping the boy was alright.

Confusion Sets In Ravenclaws
Dawn anxiously peered around the huge wooden doors that led to the Great Hall. She felt unsure of whether she should walk in and sit or just grab something to eat and sneak back out to sit on the Grounds. While her heart was set on reading outside, her brain, being logical was strict on making a few friends. With a sigh and a quick breath in she strolled in. No ones paying attention to you, so calm down! she thought to herself. She noticed that almost every person she passed by had some strange words to say to the other. "Rouge spell.." ,"Kaegan.." ,"Injury.."

Dawn frowned as she had been there only a few weeks and there appeared to be trouble. What surprised her the most, is the realization of not knowing what was going on. She winced as she remembered she had no friends to tell her what was going on. But it was quiet reasonable since for the past few weeks she had been stuck on reading muggle books. This is exactly why you need friends whispered a voice from inside her. She took a seat at the Ravenclaw table, feeling rather awkward as she reached over and grabbed a bread bun, to seem as if she had something to do. Her eyes flicked over to each student on the table and stopped when she noticed a girl who happened to be sitting next to her and seemed just as confused as Dawn was. "Uh, hello" Dawn said smiling at the girl hoping that she could begin a conversation.
