General The Slytherin Table 2019-2020

This was so much cooler than he had ever imagined. Although maybe not what he had thought. When he was on the train he had spent some time wondering where he would end up and how he would be placed by the sorting hat. Ravenclaw was his first pick. He hadn't even considered any others.

The more that he sat and thought about it the clearer it became though, it did make sense. All his life he was scared of becoming something dark and maybe this was his chance to prove that he wasn't. A test of sorts that would make sure that he could handle everything.

As he sat and looked around the great hall he saw so many faces but knew that he would be unlikely to ever meet many of them. Another thing that came crashing down on him was the size. Even the great hall itself was so unbelievably large to him that it felt daunting. Like an empty cavern that you could not hide from. He was not scared of it but felt somewhat intimidated by it. Like somehow he could get lost and never find himself in the grandeur of the school.

Some of the other students seemed to be laughing and having a good time, making friends and looking around in wonder but Rhydian sat alone amongst the crowd. Feeling that sense of emptiness his mother had once warned him about. A trait that she had shown when she was first here. That hollow emptiness that seemed to pull the excitement and joy out of him.

He shook his head, this would not be him. Not here or anywhere else. He stood and brushed off his cloak and made his way to the door. He exited the hall and sat against the cool stone walls across from the door, letting the cold feeling neutralize the panic that was surely coming. "I can do this, I have to do this." He said to himself and sat there a while longer, trying to pull together a shard of the confidence he had coming into this place.

Kara sat at the end of the Slytherin table, alone, again. She was so angry at herself for being such a coward and not even being able to talk to anyone.
Kara shoved some carrots into her mouth and almost swallowed them whole. She caught herself ad realized that her anger could kill her. She hated that she had such self-pity. She looked around for a little and then looked back down at her book, "Warriors, The Silent Thaw."
She always read a book while she was eating, it was one of the things that distracted her, so she brought a book with her everywhere, even to class. She'd always read in her free time during class, but other times, she was in the Owlery writing letters to Lilly, Matthew, Mia, and Gabriel.
She sighed as she looked around. The Great Hall was echoing with cheerful voices of some second year girls gossiping and some Ravenclaw boys talking about the most recent Quidditch match.
Kara hadn't seen the game, for sports didn't interest her that much. She remembered that her foster brother, Gabriel, had always loved sports and invited her and Mia to watch the football games with him and Matthew while Kara and Mia were playing. She smiled at all the sweet memories of her foster home. The family she lived with might not have been connected by blood, but it was connected by something better, love.
She sighed, knowing now that Gabriel and Mia would never know about her being magical, Lilly had told them that she had gotten accepted into a really good boarding school for girls instead of telling them the truth and saying that she was going to Hogwarts.
A sad look formed on her face, knowing she would probably never find anyone who would like her, and Gabriel and Mia weren't there to help.

Lilian walks to Slytherin table and looks for a spot to sit and eat something. She was so hungry cause she didn't eat anything till now. I am so hungry she thought but this was her fault cause she didn't want to eat anything. But now she was feeling that she need food.

When she was looking she saw a brown-haired girl at the end of the table. The girl was reading a book while eating. She wonders what was she reading. I can ask her later she thought. She starts to walk towards to girl. When she gets close to the girl she realizes that the girl looks kinda sad.

Actually Lilian was anxious she hopes that she can talk and be friends with this girl. She slowly sits across the girl and decides to make her meal then talk with the girl.

Lilian looks at all the food on the table and takes a piece of chicken with a bunch of tomatoes and potatoes. she just takes water for a drink. Then she looks straight to the girl and says ' Um... Hello sorry, I didn't ask before sitting but you look lonely so maybe ı can eat with you.'

Kara kept reading her book and ended on chapter 12.
"Um..Hello sorry, I didn't ask before sitting but you look lonely so maybe I can eat with you."
Those words hit her straight in the heart, her wish had come true. "Ok, don't mess this up, this is your only chance." She thought to herself.
She looked up from her book to see a short, blonde-haired girl sitting beside her now. Her robes showed that she was a Slytherin too. She looked friendly, so Kara took her only chance she had. She first tried to smooth out her frizzy hair and her brown eyes glimmered with satisfaction, this was it, her first friend at Hogwarts!
She smiled at the girl politely.
"Hello, and yes, it's obvious isn't it, I'm super lonely. Well, ignoring that, I'm Kara, Kara Capricorn."
Kara realized that the girl was probably going to think she was weird, her last name was a strange one, but she never knew her birth one, so her foster mother, Lilly had taken her horoscope as her last name. She looked back down, embarrassed, thinking she screwed up. She didn't know why she was so nervous all the time. She got mad at herself again, why did she have to be such a hermit!

The girl looks at her with surprise but a happy face and she said "Hello, and yes, it's obvious isn't it, I'm super lonely. Well, ignoring that, I'm Kara, Kara Capricorn.''

Lilian was happy that she could finally have a friend. I am not gonna be lonely in my Hogwarts life she thinks and gets excited and happy. She hopes that the girl in front of her thinks the same things as her. İf she is thinking the same things she can be good friends with her.

She smiled at Kara and said'Nice to meet you, Kara. I am Lilian Doll. By the way, your surname is a horoscope right its so unique to have a surname like that. Actually ı wish that ı had a unique and beautiful surname as yours ı don't think that my surname is good. Oh, and do you have an interest in horoscopes? Actually ı have a little interest. '

She takes a sip of her water and continue 'I hope we can be friends Kara.' she says and smiles at Kara. While waiting for Kara's reply she thinks that she can be great friends with her cause Kara seems like a good girl and Lilian thinks that they have a lot of common interests.

"I hope we can be friends, Kara>"
"I...I..." Tears started to well in her eyes. Those words, they, they were so sweet, so soothing, she had just found relief.
"Yes yes yes yes yes and a bunch more yes's! I would love being your friend! Thank you thank you thank you!" She yelped in delight.
She gave Lilian a big hug and started crying, she had done it. Her dream had come true!! She had always thought so low of herself when all she had to say was hello!
Kara was having a full on celebration in her head. She was so happy and overwhelmed at the same time. Wiping the tears of joy from her eyes, she continued.

Kara starts to crying this makes Lilian wonder that if she says something wrong. But when Kara hugs her and accepts Lilian's friend request with a lot of joy Lilian realizes that she is just happy.

Lilian giggles and looks at Kara with a happy expression and thinks that she is gonna great friends with Kara.

"I will never be able to thank you enough, I've been needing a friend. You seemed to appear in my life as an angel! Also, about my surname, it's my horoscope because I've been fostered my whole life and nobody knew my actual birth surname. So, my foster mother, Lilly, decided to take her husband's tradition of making last names their horoscopes, and that's how I got my surname, I like it, but I thought other people would think it's really weird...Do you think it is? Kara says to Lilian.

'Well I don't think that it's weird. Actually for me its a very unique and beautiful surname. İf you think that your surname is weird then what should ı do?'Lilian asks while giggling.

'Me an angel? No of course not. I just wanna be friends with you that's all. But let me tell you something Kara ı can be hyper and energetic sometimes and that can make you angry ' Lilian tells in a little serious tone.

Kara smiled brightly at Lilian, she liked her already. She felt like she had known Lilian for years, that was how much that Lilian had meant to her. She didn't care if she would get mad sometimes, that's what happens, it's life!
"Well, once you know me for a long time, I'll be a lot more open and hyper around you, so I hope you're not as hot-headed as me!"
She smiled brightly, feeling a warm feeling inside. She had lost the spark that she had with her friends and had become a shell of her past self, only thinking of her own pity and not being brave enough to even talk! She ate some more food and knew that this was the true beginning of her year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!
She wondered what time is was and then an owl flew above her head and a letter fell into her hands. She looked at the note and gasped. It was from Mia and Gabriel. Lilly and Matthew's names were on the envelope too! Her whole heart and soul yelped with delight. Kara felt like a child again. She wondered what they had sent her. Not thinking, she leaped out of her chair and looked apologetically at Lilian. "I'm sorry, but I just got a letter I've been waiting for, and I have to practice my spells for Charms class. It was nice meeting you! She grabbed her book and ran off to the Slytherin common room yelling with glee and with her heart burning with satisfaction. It was time to overcome all that got in her way!!

Kristen sat down at the slytherin table uncomfortably. He was still having trouble accepting that any of this was actually happening.
Apparently, he was in a school full of witches and wizards and he himself was a wizard, but his brain just wouldn't accept it.
I've died, his brain told him. Or I'm in a coma or something. This can't actually exist. Magic isn't real. But it was real, and it was happening.
He looked over at the sorting hat, which was currently being placed on another students head. The hat had said that those who were in Slytherin were 'cunning'; That wasn't exactly how he would describe himself. He wondered if the hat had put him in the right house.
He looked around at all the other Slytherins. They all seemed to be having their own conversations. He sat there, unsure of what to do. Feeling quite unwanted, he looked up and down the table at the feast. The food looked great, but he wasn't hungry.
He reached into one of his large cloak pockets, and pulled out a book he had bought at Diagon Alley (Fantastic Beasts and where to find them). He didn't read normally, but he didn't have anything to do and the book was interesting. He just sat there, reading, waiting for the sorting ceremony to end so he could go to his dormitory and go to bed.

Morris entered the Great Room and took a seat at the Slytherin Table after being sorted he feasted on all sorts of foods, talked with newer sorted people, waiting to meet someone who wanted to be friends. Morris didn't want to seem too desperate to make people his friend, unless they wanted to. This was his first time here, so Morris seemed to be nervous.

Morris got up to get more food, he saw a boy named Kristen Coulter and tried to make friends with him, that's a start. Morris is usually shy making friends at first, but once you get to know him and he knows you, he is more talkative. Morris thought he was pretty kindhearted, caring, and likable person to talk to, Morris could talk to you about anything, and everything, he just had that kind of atmosphere around him, he may be slow at making friends, but he will get there in due time, as his years in Hogwarts continue. Morris loves having friends he can trust with his secrets, questions and concerns to. Morris looks all around, and he tries to talk to someone, and tries to make friends with them, Morris feels he is doing good trying hard to make friends.
