The Slytherin Table 2017 - 2018
"Yes, Hogwarts seems fascinating. What classes are you excited about? Personally, I'm a history person." Alexx replied, smiling. She chuckled a little at the end, surprised at how easily the conversation seemed to flow. Usually, Alexx would have been too shy to respond and would have answered with a humming sound and a shoulder shrug. Instead, she allowed the words to flow from her lips as smooth as rose petals. If her brothers and sister could see this, they'd be sure this wasn't their sister.
Truthfully, she was excited, through all the angst. There was so much to discover, so much to see and learn. Her eldest brother, Mikey, who was the only one out of the two of her brothers to graduate Hogwarts, had told her much of the school. It felt as though she had really been preparing for this her whole life. Then there was Tex, her brother that had dropped out. Aside from having a distant relationship as it were, he never spoke of his Hogwarts days. He just didn't. That was what scared Alexx. Something had gone down in these very halls, something that scared Tex into silence.
But she wouldn't worry anyone with those tales. She was sure it was nothing. Instead of worrying about it, she pushed the feeling aside and focused on the room she was in. Everything was magic. It was true, Alexx was no stranger to magic, but she had never been surrounded by this much of it. It was mesmerizing.
