MUGGLES ARE HUMANS TOO!

Help us end the unfairness!
Paige was placing signs all over the court yard. She had had enough. Too much blood purists and she was ready to make a stand. She wore a shirt saying the same thing. She handed out cookies that had the iced saying on them. Later she was going to use a megaphone and Kay on the ground with her supporters and say... something. But she was going to make a change wether snobby blood purists liked it or NOT.

"Join me in the stand for fairness!" This is what she would say to any interested students. She would smirk at any disapproving students watching. This was going to end with her. Now. She waved her arms. "Justice for the smugglers and muggle borns! We are Humans Too!" She hoped people would join her otherwise this would be quite embarrassing for Paige. She knew some of her friends might join her but she hoped some students she didn't know would join too and really help make a difference. Maybe even some Pure bloods may join. You never know. But this was Paige's greatest idea yet, and she was excited.

What was going on? Some stupid thing having to do with muggles? Jenny had to get a closer look. She walked up and peered at the sign. Muggles are Humans Too? What nonsense- "What nonsense is this?"

Paige reeled in her. "It's not nonsense! Fight for the rights of Muggles and muggle borns! Join me!" Paige handed Jenny a flyer but Jenny didn't take it. "Your a mudblood, aren't you?" Paige froze and put on a fake smile. "You be quite you!" Than she turned out and called: "Guys, do we except blood purists?" Some kids would help, 'No', while others just mumbled. Paige turned back.
"So... whatever your name is, looks like you're a little out dated."
Jenny gasped. How dare this mudblood embarrass Jenny like that?! How. Dare. She.

"This is stupid and I think you should stop. You are a mudblood and this is wrong. Okay?" Jenny crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. This girl was so annoying. Who was she to fight for the rights of filthy little animals? Gross. Ew. Disgusting.

Filthy.

Mudblood.

Jenny walked away to watch this disaster unfold before her. "Who does this mudblood think she is? My goodness." She said to no one in particular.

Illowy hardly thought of herself as the political type, even considering the family she was from. She was a Magnard, one of the older Pureblood families, though perhaps not as prolific as other's. It had been a long time since they'd held such staunch beliefs when it came to blood purity, much less involved themselves in such outdated beliefs. Certainly, she couldn't think of a time when she or her cousin had ever been made to believe that blood meant anything when it came to power, at least not from their own family. Even her own mother who was fairly traditional in many regards had warned her that blood purity has nothing to do with capability or power; history certain proved that to be accurate.

So when she'd heard some eaglet in the courtyard shouting about Muggle Born equality, truthfully she didn't care in the beginning; not because of the cause, but mostly because she had other things on her mind. It wasn't until another girl from her house stepped to the plate to voice her unsavory views and insults, that Illowy felt the need to insert herself.

Stepping in front of the hatchling, "Seems someone is feeling threatened." she mused. Illowy was a girl with the reputation of not being the most approachable, if anything downright intimidating, when one first met her. She was short and svelt in stature, with ghostly blue eye that students had said before seemed to look through you instead of at you, and long dark hair pinned out of her face revealing marble like, black veins that crawled up her neck and over her cheek; a harsh contrast to her fair skin. A result of a curse from her Second year.

"Let me explain something, First Year. We are charged with repairing Slytherin's reputation, because people like you and your family have sullied the proud Slytherin name with your medieval ideas about purity and now we must deal with those ramification; because frankly, I don't take kindly to the idea we are believed to be selfish, puristic, evil people." she spoke in a warning tone, "This is the 21st century. Not the 14th. Blood purity means nothing anymore. So if you'd like for your time here to go smoothly, and keep from embarrassing yourself further, I'd suggest you keep your nose in your books, and your outdated opinions to yourself."

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

The day had started pretty normal for the second year. She had gotten up, went to the great hall for breakfast, then back to her dorm to get her cat. It was so annoying that pets were not allowed during the meals- well, alright, excluding morning post- but Loras had to stay in the Slytherin common room for that time. He also had to stay down there during classes. It was almost a miracle how much his attitude towards Opeila had changed, he used to run away and stay away even over night.

Anyway, the Slytherin had originally planned to get her cat and go outside. So far, so well.
Only the moment she entered the courtyard, something was very different. For a moment she just stood in the entrance, staring at the signs that were placed everywhere in the courtyard. "Well, would you look at that... Looks like someone is frustrated to me.", she commented to herself, walking over to one of the signs.
It was no bad idea, but certainly one that would provoke conflicts. Especially the girl who was shouting about muggle and wizard equality would soon become the center of attention. You're putting a target on your back, kid...

Actually Opeila knew that kid. That was Paige, who helped her find her cat the other day.
The Slytherin couldn't quite tell yet if she liked her or not, but when a girl approached her in an obviously rather rude way, Opeila decided to join the two first years anyway. Apparently there was someone who had just the same idea- Illowy, a fellow violinist, who played the same songs as her. An awkward but rather pleasant encounter. "... This is the 21st century. Not the 14th. Blood purity means nothing anymore. So if you'd like for your time here to go smoothly, and keep from embarrassing yourself further, I'd suggest you keep your nose in your books, and your outdated opinions to yourself.", was what Opeila first heard when she came closer.

"Hey there! Illowy, Paige, long time no see. Is there a problem here?" Opeila turned her face to the younger Slytherin, a neutral expression on her face, but her eyes looking rather cold. "I don't think we met?"

Michael knew he shouldn't get into it, but he couldn't stop himself from going up behind his newest P.U.R.E. memeber.

He looked over the signs and frowned slightly. "Paige, do you really think this is a good idea?" He said. He looked over to Opeila. He licked his lips before saying. "This is a pretty bold way to do this. . . " he said.

He turned to Jennifer. "Don't worry, i understand beliefs are hard to change and your beliefs are who you are. "

Michael didn't really know who's side he was on, so he decided to choose Opeila's. A side of non-bias.

He looked over the signs. She was just asking for trouble. He knew 4th years and higher who would have a word or two to say about such a brainless plan. He sighed, he was starting to see Gryffindor in the girl more day by day, and he didn't know if it was.a good thing.

He looked over at the girls, 3 first years and a second. He was glad most others were problary busy with classes.

"Paige maybe you could just create a club? It would be less. . . well less." He said.

Paige couldn't help but roll her eyes at the snobby pure blood girl. But then another girl showed and and would speak to her in a warning tone. Paige couldn't help but smirk at Jennifer. "Ha" She would say only to herself. She was one of the people who inspired her to take a stand.

Than Opeila walked up and greeted her and Illowy. "Hey! How's Loras?" She asked, referring to the cat she helped her find just the other day. She would turn around adjust the cupcakes. "You want some?"

She looked up as Michael walked over. She rolled her eyes the slightest bit. She walked over to the flyers and fixed them a bit as Michael spoke to her.

"Uh huh. Yup, yup. A club. Yup. Sure."

She said, totally not going to listen to his advice. She fixed other flyers and flattened her shirt a bit.

"Less? Where would I get with less? Look." She spun on him. "I come from a muggle family who do things their own way. You guys may have your own way, but this is how we spread awareness about something."

Referring to Jennifer once more, Paige smiled. "And it's all thanks to people like you who inspired me to take a stand." She smiled then turned letting her smile falter. This girl was definitely watching her.

Jenny glared daggers at the third year before her. She pursed her lips. She crossed her arms. Sigh.

How unfortunate. This wouldn't end very well.

" Excuse me, Miss... " Jenny looked at the girls skin and eyes. She seemed almost dead. "Miss. Nosy. Excuse me but the King family has gone back centuries with one belief that we all have been raised with. Would you walk up to a muggle who believes in God and tell them that their belief was wrong and outdated?" Jenny shook her head. "No. But I am proud to give out such a reputation letting muddies know to back off."

She raised an eyebrow and was about to go on when another Slytherin showed up. "No problem, just that fact that all my life I was raised to a family belief to be told pretty much that it's dumb, stupid, and wrong." She hissed between her teeth and turned back to the fourth year. "And for your information, I'm more of a violin person instead of a book person. What did she say your name was? Illy Wheat?" Jenny knew that wasn't what her name was but still she laughed anyway.

"Well Miss. Wheat, I'll let you know-" She turned as a boy walked up. Ugh. He was playing the peace keeper. The good guy. "Something like that..."

As it was well into February, the weather had begun to warm, or so he had been assured by Eirian. Still bundled up in his winter coat, he was seriously wondering what the Welsh girl’s definition of ‘warm’ was. They had been on their way to the stables in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the Care of Magical Creatures class but Kazuo paused as they entered the courtyard, noticing the small crowd of students. He tugged at Eirian’s elbow, pointing to the girl, Paige, as she made a fool of herself parading about shouting about muggles being human.

“一体?(What on earth?) Eirian, remember the ball I told you about? That’s the girl who stormed out because Miller wasn’t paying attention to her. What does she mean ‘Muggles are human too?' I don’t understand what point she is trying to make.”

He moved closer to the group, watching as Paige began arguing with a dark-haired girl who seemed to have taken offense at the display. By her behaviour, Kazuo suspected she must be a pureblood. “I wonder if Burnett knows about this. The girl is in his Mudblood Club but I doubt this is a club sponsored activity. Does she honestly believe this display is going to do anything? While I’ll admit I’ve come across arrogant purebloods, I haven’t heard anyone saying muggles aren’t human. What a strange way to try to make her point."

He watched as an older girl he didn't know stepped in to lecture the dark-haired pureblood, finding the scene amusing. Opeila also joined the fray, followed by Michael who seemed to be trying to counsel Paige to perhaps stop embarrassing herself.

"I think two clubs dedicated to discussing the topic of blood status is more than enough and as I recall, Chase is a member of both." He addressed Michael and Paige. "Instead of shouting your anger to the sky, why don't you coordinate a debate? If you really want to address the inequality of treatment you perceive to be a problem, the only logical way to do so is through dialogue and this… isn't going to open up that dialogue."

Last year, a club had been lifted called the "Miracoulous Mudblood Club", and May had immediately signed up. After all, she was a Muggleborn, and at that time, she thought that entering that club would benefit her and her thoughts of being different from the other witches and wizards, thought overtime, she had understood that there were way more Muggleborns than other people believed there were. Having helped the club quite a lot, she had been proclaimed Vice-President of the M.M.M club, and furthermore one of the three in charge.

Today, May had gone to the owlery to pick up her Arctic owl. It was a completely normal day, and when she went out of the school into the courtyard with Hiems, she saw something that caught her attention...

A girl was adding some posters everywhere, with red lettering. It said something about saving the muggleborns....not that they needed saving anyways, but eh, she could do what she wanted.

But something else caught her attention too. It was a crowd. First, she thought that they were this "club" members, but really, it did not seemed so anymore. The disctinct voices of the students sounded over the courtyard, and, worried, May went to see what was happening.

"Uh huh. Yup, yup. A club. Yup. Sure."

May's eyebrow quirked ever so slightly. Another club? What for? They didn't need any more clubs, really. It was enough for the M.M.M to handle, and an extra Muggleborn club wasn't going to work. "Pardon me," May told @Paige Chase "But I think that there is already a Muggleborn club, that is much more developed that this one..."

Well, it seemed like the club wasnt the exact case

Other girls were being quite rude to each other ( @Jennifer King and @Illowy Magnard ), and May thought that the Slytherin girl (Illowy) was quite right. But the other one? (Jennifer) Well, what did she mean by Mrs? The other girl was only a 14 year old!

Illowy smirked at the hatchling's weak idea of an insult; shooting at the easiest target of her name. Pathetic, "Well bred, yet not very well taught." she smirked, "If you're a King, then I'd have imagined they'd have at least taught you how to properly use titles such as 'Mrs' and such. And thus you'd known that I'm clearly far too young to be married, and more important it's telling you'd think I'd ever be the property of a man, which I'm sure you know is what 'Mrs' means." it might've been a ramble, if clearly this girl wasn't well taught before her time at Hogwarts. Why not bless her with a short lesson in etiquette?

"Illowy Magnard. Pureblood." she introduced herself, "But since such names that aren't traditional English names are much too difficult for your weak mind to understand, you may call me Ms Magnard. Ms or Miss, in this case, is the proper title to give a young lady or one who doesn't wish to be owned." the snake couldn't help but add the mocking tone to mimic King's, "And I think you're falling off base trying to confuse difference of religion with blatant, racist bigotry. After all, my family has kept to our Celtic roots for centuries, and we've never faulted other's for their religions or lack there of. Now then, Ms King, I'm sorry to tell you are greatly outnumbered in this school when it comes to Muggle Borns and mixed students. And with such an attitude as yours, I don't doubt each of them will come to be much higher in skill and power then you could ever hope to dream of, despite whatever advantage you think your lineage grants you."

The older girl rolled her eyes when Jennifer admitted she was more of a 'violin girl' then a book girl, "Is that meant to impress me? Poppet, I've been playing the violin most of my life, as has Opeila and many others in this school. Yet, we both get well marks. Such a claim is as impressive as your blood status." Illowy informed.

Pale eyes flickered towards the small crowd that had gathered, "There's no need to debate what is already fact." she explained to a boy she didn't know, but seemed to at least a civil ideas, "The fact is that Muggle Born witches and wizards exist in our society. And they have every right and live and learn and work among us, just like Purebloods. And they have every chance to be as powerful as anyone else, and contribute to our society. They aren't going anywhere. Look at Hermione Granger. She's a Muggle Born, and one of the most famous, influential, and progressive witches from the last fifty years. Blood means nothing anymore."

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.
