The Magic of Plasters
Date || September 12th, After Lunch
There were a lot of things in the wizarding world that Willow was still coming to understand. One of those was how people that didn't know anything about the muggle world were raised. It boggled her that people didn't have TVs, phones, video games, ability to just... text or call people when you want to talk to them. Shopping malls, planes, what a muggle school even looks like. She just didn't understand how people didn't know or care to know about them. But in her first year she had found that those born into the wizard world were just as curious about the muggle world as she had grown up being. Of course there were people that found the magic way superior and muggles are incredibly inferior but she didn't let that stop her.
It truly boggled her mind though when she learned that wizard born individuals didn't know what plasters were. With magic there was no need, people could just seal up their wounds and move on. As wild and curious of a child she was, Willow had grown up normally having one or two plasters somewhere on her. She actually found herself missing them in her first year of Hogwarts, her first aid kit that her parents sent her with sitting completely unused in her trunk. Once learning about this, she spent her summer collecting all types of fun and cool plasters to show all of her friends. She posted an ad in the small hall offering her education services on such a neat muggle product. The young badger felt like she was about to be an informational TV product seller, but she wasn't selling anything.
She found a bench in the courtyard and spread out a small pink cloth over it and laid out the many boxes of plasters she had of all different skin colors and fandoms. It had just occurred to her that the wizards might not even know who the characters were, but that was another problem. Next to all of the plasters she left out a pile of friendship bracelets. If there was anything Willow loved, it was a new opportunity to make friends. She had a pink plaster over her nose just as a fun fashion accessory for the moment since she had come to miss them so much. She plopped herself behind the bench and waited for any prospective students to show up.
Edit - Changed number of spots available.
Feel free to put whatever plasters you'd like to see at her table! With the friendship bracelets you can also choose what they look like. She's been making them since she was a little kid and can make any design.

Although Illowy had been raised in Dublin, Ireland and thus around Muggles, the girl had had a surprising lack of interaction with the Muggle World since, as did most large cities, Dublin had its own underground wizarding world away from the Muggle's view. While sure they had most modern convinces such as electricity, and some modern kitchen appliances, they didn't have much else, having been brought up in an otherwise traditional Wizarding Household.@Willow Anderson
That being said, since coming to Hogwarts, she'd been exposed to some small artifacts the Muggle Borns had brought to school with them over the years, though mostly from afar; so when she saw the flier offering to teach about some odd Muggle item, her natural curiosity to see such a thing up close made her feel inclined to take up its offer as she made her way out to the courtyard as per the flier's instructions. Just as promised, she easily spotted the girl in the bright pink jumper with some odd bit of, what she assumed to be, paper stuck to her face.
As she approached the girl, she shifted awkwardly (with the new year she found herself increasingly nervous meeting new people, having had less then comfortable and pitiful looks of concern and confusion as to the black, marbled scars on her neck and face from the year previous) as she looked down at the girl's collection of oddities. On her heels trailed a glorified ball of fluff, Killian, who seemed just as curious about the objects the girl had spread out in little boxes on the bench, all different colors with little pictures on them.
"Hi. I saw a flier about muggle things..." she started, looking at the girl as she tucked a bit of hair behind her ear, "Are these it?" frankly, she didn't quite understand the items or what was so special about colored and doodled on strips of paper, or what their practical purpose was. Though her first assumption from how the girl before her was wearing it, Illowy assumed it was some sort of Muggle fashion accessory.

I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Melissa walked out to the courtyard where Willow, the pink-haired girl who gave Mel a friendship bracelet, held a 'lesson' about these things called plasters, also known as band-aids. Apparently, they can cover and cuts but they won't heal. The ginger was really interested in them because she grew up in the wizarding world so her father would just seal up the wound and move on. When she got to where Willow was, there was another girl with her. The pink-haired girl must've noticed Melissa getting closer because she said, "Omg hi Mel! How's your year so far?"
Mel literally had nothing to say. She was just so...I don't know...awestruck? No one ever greeted her like that. "H-hi Willow. The y-year's going...um...going pretty good I guess-" It was awkward. She never had to reply to what Willow said so she didn't know what to say. "So uh..how are you?" Melissa asked. Then she said, "Hi...My name's Melissa, Mel for short." to the other girl. Then the ginger looked at the things on the pink cloth Willow had probably placed on the bench. There were little things that looked like little pieces of paper with little drawings on them. Those must be the plasters, she thought. Next to them were bracelets. They weren't just normal bracelets though. They were friendship bracelets. Of course! Why else would she be called the friendship bracelet girl? she said in her head.@Willow Anderson & @Illowy MagnardPermission to godmod Willow given

The Magic of Plasters
The week had been rough for Søren. He was wholly unprepared for the workload that second year brought upon him. Essays upon essays to prepare for and notices of projects that couldn’t be swept under the rug. Only the first full week of the term had passed, and he was already tired of it all. The last few days shocked him into action as he spent most of his time cooped up in the library going over the notes and readings assigned. He would not fall behind this term. He couldn’t.
But a break was needed and Søren found himself out in the courtyard just after lunch. There was no goal to accomplish. He just needed a bit of fresh air before returning to the musty library. On his walk, he spotted a trio of students gathered around a bench. His first instinct was to steer clear. He would be back with other warm bodies in a few moments. However, after catching a glimpse of pink hair, he abruptly switched directions towards the bench.
“Willow! It’s Willow, right? Your hair looks great. It reminds me of my sister’s,” he smiled towards the familiar girl in question. Willow was the organizer of the egg race that Søren participated in before the school was closed for the summer. Caught up in both the adrenaline of the event and the sorrows of losing, he had completely forgotten to thank Willow for the time she spent planning and executing the competition.
He noted the other girls’ presence. One was a Slytherin he recognised from passing by in the common room and the other was a completely new face. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the black scars standing out on the Slytherin’s skin. Curious. But he looked no further, aware that doing so would contest any social training he had. Instead, he focused on the oddities laid out across the bench. Piece of decorated paper and colourful bracelets caught his attention immediately.
“Hm, what are these?” he pursed his lips, unsure of what use they could be. “Ah, forgive me. I’m Søren. Silverwood,” he nodded to the two girls and back to Willow in case she hadn’t caught his name before.@Willow Anderson

Xailah had seen the ad in the small hall- took nothing more than a glance at it. And that was it. She didn't exactly take much interest in the flier. So she went on with her merry way. It was almost a shame- had the child not wandered down to the courtyard, she would have missed the opportunity to gain knowledge on muggle objects. Xailah was an avid collector of muggle contraptions. Mostly dining ware, and mechanical objects. During her visits to Hogsmeade, she could almost always be found window-shopping, in the Muggle Artifacts shop. Sometimes even shoplifting- which well, she took no pride in doing. She couldn't help her kleptomania most of the time. Xailah would skip her through the corridors, and eventually through the courtyard. If one was quick and quiet, she could be caught engaging in many childish acts. Like this current one. Schrödinger, the Gryffindors large Chartreux cat, bobbed along on the shoulder of his mistress. His little claws dug into her shoulder, in fear of toppling off.
One, two, three... ten... fifty, fifty one... Xailah liked to play a game. Okay- she liked to play a lot of games, many of which involved tormenting others. But not this one. This game, was a counting game. She counted how many steps it took for her to reach her destination. That was it. That was the game. It didn't sound very fun, but it kept the metamorphs mind busy for a little while. At seventy steps, Xailah would notice a splotch of color out of the corner of her eye. She turned to see a girl with pink hair, sitting on a bench. Xailah recognized the child as a member of the S.W.A.G club. A flock of students- okay, three students, surrounded said girl. There was one student that Xailah immediately recognized. A young Slytherin-Illowy, that she only seemed to meet when things went wrong. The lioness- being the naturally curious creature that she was; just had to find out what was going on. She wandered over, her gaze locked onto the scattering of... things, on the bench.
The Gryffindors slotted pupils flexed, growing, then shrinking, as they analyzed all the colors strewn about. What are those things? Schrödinger would notice something too. Not the sprinkles of color, like his mistress did- he would notice something a little less colorful. And fuzzy. A cat. The lob of grey matter trilled. Xailah was just so lost in the moment, that she didn't take notice of the noise. Eventually, she would tear her eyes away from the objects on the bench, to look up at the surrounding people. There were two people she did not recognize- a boy and another girl. Xailah politely nodded to them both, to acknowledge that they existed. She would then turn to Illowy, and offer her a tight-lipped smile. She hadn't seen the snake since the most recent Blossom Ball. And while the two girls weren't exactly friends; Xailah couldn't help but feel very bad for leaving Illowy in the Quidditch Pitch.
"Hallo." Xailah nodded, briefly turning her attention to the pink-haired girl, to greet her. The cubs gaze would drift back to Illowy, giving her a greeting as well. "Hallo Illowy, you are doing well I hope?" She wanted to ask the snake about what went down in the pitch, on the night of the ball. But now, seemed like a rather inappropriate time to inquire about it. Schrödinger having noticed that his mistress was paying no attention to him, began to squirm on her shoulder. Xailah finally looked down, to see what he was getting all excited about. "Oh. Who's your friend, Illowy?" The lioness asked, smiling down at the snakes feline companion. Xailah would stoop to get a closer look at the feline, and if given the 'okay', she would attempt to pet him.
Standing back up, her interest would be drawn back to the colorful items displayed on the bench. After a long minute, Xailah had figured out what one of the pile of objects, were. Bracelets. At least she thought that they were bracelets. They didn't look like any bracelets she had ever seen before though. Golden hues drifted to the pile of other items. They were the more confusing of the bunch. She had no idea what they were, but figured that they were probably candies of some sort. Her reasoning for deciding that they were candies, was... kind of logical. Candies were brightly colored. These things were brightly colored. Candies came in boxes, and had wrapping paper. These things came in boxes, and they had wrapping paper. Therefore, they had to be candies. It was flawless logic. Everyone could go home. Mystery solved. Course the metamorph wasn't going to walk away that quickly. She was doubting her logic, and figured it was best to stick around, and wait for an explanation.

Pale eyes glanced around herself as other's started gather as well, however the only one she recognized at first was the lad; and only from seeing him around the Slytherin Common room. She caught his side eye on her, though it was only for a moment, causing the older girl to turned her chin away from him. Her thin, marble scarred hand lifted to pull her hair over her shoulder in a small attempt to try to hide the markings and refocus her attention back on the strange papers. Though he called her attention back once more as he introduced himself, "Illowy Magnard." she spoke, tone neutral and somewhat cold.Interacting with : @Søren Silverwood, @Xailah Alptraum, @Willow Anderson
Her demeanor changed a bit when she caught sight of two famililar faces; Xailah and her cat Schrödinger. A small smile lifted to her features. Though the pair weren't exactly friends, Illowy did hold a level of trust and respect for the older Gryffindor. She hadn't seen nor spoken to Xailah since staying behind from the group after the Blossom Ball, and amid that chaos, she hadn't had the chance to make sure the other was alright, "Hey, Xailah." she greeted back, "As well as I can be. How are you?"
Illowy's gaze followed Xailah's down to Killian, staring up curiously and impatiently at the other feline, "This is Killian. I got him last Christmas." she explained as the other stooped down to the cat. Killian sniffed at the pair curiously, tilting his head before peeping out a small mew and tentatively inching closer, "He's super friendly, I promise." she assured.
When the other girl rose to her feet again, Illowy looked back at the odd papers. Frankly, she still wasn't quite understanding what the purpose of something so silly was. Crossing her arms casually over her stomach, she leaned into Xailah slightly, "I think these things are some kind of Muggle fashion accessory." she hypothesized quietly before pointing a finger to the plaster that the girl wore on her nose, "Like how we might wear a necklace or earrings... they wear these things on their faces." she explained her theory. However, there was one thing she wasn't quite understanding, "I don't know how they keep them balanced like that though. They're like paper. Surely paper would just blow off, right?"

Eyre was on his way to study for his Potions exam when he stumbled upon a table in the courtyard. It was a cute little display, with lots of different tiny pieces of thin shiny colored things. The girl heading the table was the girl that he met at the S.W.A.G. meeting, the one that he'd tried to make an alliance with. He gave her a shy smile, waving. "Hey... Nice to see you again." He greeted, his attention being brought back to the small little treasures (?) in front of him.
There were a few more students over at the table at this point, so he didn't feel as shy picking up a bright red colored thing. He flipped it over and examined the thin papery substance that was split in half on the back, before raising it to his nose to give it a subtle sniff. It didn't smell of anything, so it must've not been edible. "What is this?" He pondered to himself silently. He noticed one that had a familiar face on it. It must've been a superhero from one of the muggle comics that he read... Colonel America, or something? He picked that one up as well, examining it the same way that he did the last one. This time, he raised it to his mouth to give it a tiny nibble. A piece of it came off in his mouth, making him sputter, his face contorted as he picked it off his tongue. Nope, that was definitely not edible. He hoped that he hadn't poisoned himself for doing that.
The girl beside him said that perhaps they were muggle fashion accessories, which he gave a nod to, wiping off his mouth as he blushed. Whatever it was, it wasn't anything that was tasty. He should've known that it wasn't when he saw that pink-haired girl was wearing one on her nose, but... well. He didn't have a time-turner to undo that one.
He touched the part that he bit and pinched it in between his thumb and forefinger, noticing that it was strangely sticky. "It stays on because there is something sticky on the back. Maybe adhesive?" He shrugged at the girl, going back to examine the plaster. "I have no idea what this could possibly be..."

Willow honestly didn't think anyone would show up at all. Wizard born kids had given her mixed signals about being interested in her heritage. People like Pericles couldn't get enough of the information while people like Percival Gray nullief everything about her existence. But, slowly people started to arrive much to her delight. The first person every brought her cat~ Which made Willow immediately regret leaving a sleeping Buttons in her hammock. "These are the muggle things, yes! I'll be waiting just a couple more minutes to launch into a full explanation just in case anyone else shows up. Feel free to look at them and take a bracelet~" Her smile was bright and beaming with excitement of people genuinely not knowing what they were.
Soon after a familiar face joined the girl, "Oh my goodness hi Mel! How's your year so far?" She remembered stumbling into Mel, or more so Mel stumbling into another Ravenclaw that Willow was trying to help on one of the first days of class. "I'm glad it's going well. Let me know if you need any shortcuts to your classes, I don't mind showing you some more if you ever need them." As Mel looked those over she waved as Søren approached, someone she recognized from the egg race she did before summer time. "Yeah you remember~ Thank you, I got it done over the summer!" She idly twirled a piece in her hand, now acutely aware of it, as if it doesn't exist all the time. It seemed as she was talking to Søren, someone from SWAG had struck up a conversation with Illowy as she gazed on everything that was on the bench.
There were really so many friends to be made here, especially when the last person before she started the explanation showed up. Someone that had helped her attack her own brother in the game of Shuntbumps. "Hi there~ Glad you made it to the smallest muggle exhibit on Earth. I was gonna start an explanation soon, and I think... this is probably a good time to start it." She moved a bit closer to start explaining all the things to the seemingly brutally unaware wizard borns. As she watched with horror as Eyre brought it up to his mouth, "Wait! No don't bite.. Oh ok. Interesting. So, first things first. Please don't eat these. They're not meant to be eaten. Although they do have candy plasters that are also not meant for what these plasters are for." She eyed Eyre for an extra moment, before shaking her head slightly and jumping into the full explanation.
"So, hi welcome~ Whether you stumbled upon this in a walk, or whether you saw my flyer you're all welcomed here! I found out just recently that you guys don't know what plasters are, but luckily you have a resident muggle to teach you all about them!" She took a Hello Kitty one out of a box and slowly took off the paper wrappings for the careful eyes around her. "So, because muggles don't have healing magic generally it takes a lot longer to heal things. When you get something like a scrape or cut or something you can use bandaids to protect it!" She moved her leg to show a scrape she had gotten on her knee the over day when she fell while exploring the grounds. "See, I just take the paper off the back and plop it on and bam! It's all safe from the outside elements. The little squishy part in the middle is sometimes medicated, sometimes not, but it soaks up blood if it's bleeding and just gives a nice surface for the cut to be against. So it doesn't get irritated." She paused and took a breath as she rapid fired the information out.
"There are all different shapes, sizes, colors, and designs! It can kind of be a fashion statement of injuries~ I didn't injure my nose, but I actually have just missed having plasters so I plopped one on my nose and that's cool too!" She pushed the various boxes towards the people surrounding the bench. "Try putting one on~ Anywhere." Her bracelets caught the corner of her eye. "Oh! Also, these are friendship bracelets I make. Feel free to take one of those too if you want to! But yeah, plasters and friendship bracelets. That's what I present to you guys today!" If she were selling them, she feel like she could sell them quick and easy. But, this was for purely educational purposes on sharing about the lives of muggles. "Any questions?"
Feel free to put whatever plasters you'd like to see at her table! With the friendship bracelets you can also choose what they look like. She's been making them since she was a little kid and can make any design.

Xailah didn't miss a beat. "Ah. I'd say I'm doing better than I deserve. Thank you for asking. Its very nice to see you." The Gryffindor was starting to get the greeting thing, in the bag. Normally it took her several second to decide exactly how she was feeling. And then it usually took several seconds after that, to decide whether or not she should be honest about how she was feeling that day. Things became much simpler when she found out that no one really cared about how anyone was doing- well, actually that was not true. There were a few that cared. Xailah fell into that category. While not completely familiar with the snake, the lioness genuinely worried about how the girl was doing. The metamorphs eyes wandered over Illowys face, taking a moment to look over the web-like formations of inky black, that peeped through the porcelain flesh of the snake.
There was something about the scars, marks, whatever they were- that were almost pretty in a way. Had she known how the girl had gotten the marks, the metamorph would have no longer thought of them as such. Her gaze darted away, and quickly found its way to the very pretty cat, sitting by the feet of his Slytherin mistress. "Killian?" The lioness called, testing the name on her tongue. "What a pretty boy-" Schrödinger, seeing that his mistress was not calling him, a 'pretty boy'; gurgled grumpily. "Waow." He hopped down from his spot on the Gryffindors shoulder. His grey fur stood on end, as he observed this new 'pretty boy'. Ignoring her cat who was throwing a fit, the metamorph would extend a hand. She trilled, as she coaxed the Silver Siberian, over. "A wonderful Christmas gift." Xailah looked up, nodding to Illowy. "Oh, you are just precious." The Gryffindor murmured, hearing the small sound, produced by the silver feline.
Xailah cautiously extend her fingers; at Illowys confirmation, that her companion was a friendly one. The Prefects hand gently fell onto the back of the cat. She couldn't feel the full effect of his fur, through her gloves- but the fabric was thin enough, to where she could identify that Killian was very soft. "Is he good with other cats?" The Gryffindor questioned, her yellow hues eyed Schrödinger- who by this point, was visibly pouting. He sat on the ground like a sad grey lump. The tip of his little pink tongue peeked through his mouth- giving him the illusion of a face a child makes, when they don't get their way. "Oh ssstop that you big baby. I won't be replacing you anytime soon." She rolled her eyes, before resuming the standing position she had taken, prior to petting the cat. "Schrödinger doesn't get to play with other animals very much. My roommate- Aurelia, she has an owl. They don't exactly like each other though." Xailah would be thrilled if two cats got along in the end.
Illowy would lean over slightly, and Xailah would do the same, so she could hear the snake better. The Slytherins thoughts on the odd paper-like objects, were quite good. And made sense too, considering the girl who had laid out all the items, was wearing one. So perhaps they were not candies after all. Unless... Unless they were candies that could be worn? Xailah had heard rumors that such things existed in the muggle world. "Ah- I was thinking that they were candy. They appear to fit the description of most candy made for children. But I think I like your theory better." She whispered back. Xailahs eyes followed the pale finger of the snake; which pointed the way to a colorful paper, that sat on the nose, of the girl in front of them. Ah but, there was always one more thing to ponder- how the papers stayed on. "Hm. Perhaps the papers have sssmall pins on the underside, that hook onto the skin? Like piercings?" The Gryffindor shared in Illowys pondering. However the metamorphs thinking face, quickly turned into a confused one.
A boy had joined the party. Xailah didn't take much notice of him when he walked up. She only noted, that he had grabbed for one of the colored papers. She had not seen him raise the object up to his mouth, and take a bite. Not right away at least. But had she seen him, she too would have probably taken part in the paper eating. Hearing the boy spit, and sputter; immediately crushed the metamorphs candy theory. The boy would then turn to Illowy, and murmur something about adhesive. That would explain why the paper stayed on. Xailah still wanted an explanation. The pink-haired child wouldn't miss a beat. The little badger jumped right into the lesson- revealing that the mystery objects were called plasters. Now, these 'plasters' weren't like any that the metamorph was familiar with. She was more familiar with the plasters used for casting things. Upon listening further, the metamorph would come to the conclusion that the plasters were a method of preservation. "So these are used to preserve ssskin? Are they used as a muggle embalming technique?" She asked the rose-haired child. Xailah knew all about embalming. Because... Well. She just did. Her father occasionally did mortuary work.
It made sense to the girl. This band-aid, seemed to hit all the important points as far as embalming was concerned. It kept skin safe longer. It prevented the interference of outside elements- it even came with its own embalming fluid. Hell, these band-aid things were an all-in-one. It got bonus points too, for allowing the healing of living tissue. Oh and they could be worn fashionably? "Ah. You were right Illowy." Xailah whispered to the snake, in an oddly cheerful tone. These plaster things were great. Sure. Xailah might have jumped to conclusions, with the embalming theory. But she had to admit, it was fun to hypothesize the other possible uses of the band-aid. She knew that she just had to share this information with her friends. Raising a spindly finger, the metamorph would point to the box in the badgers hand."May I have a box?" She asked, eyeing the box with the funny kitties on it. "The one with the cats preferably." Accessorizing herself with bandages could wait for now. She also peered at the freindship bracelets, that the girl had mentioned. She had never heard of them before. "Also, what is the intended purpose of the friendship bracelets?"
