Interacting With: @May Moonstar and @Ariana WalkerJanet was bored out of her mind, she couldn't find any of her friends as they had all gone off doing their own stuff. She wandered lazily into the courtyard hoping to chance upon someone she knew there. To her surprise there were several tables and chairs set up and there were more than the usual amount of students here, she looked around trying to spot a familiar face and instead she spotted two.
"Ariana! May! hey, what are you guys doing?"
Two of her friends sat at the table and (it took two glances for Janet to confirm what she saw) were painting each others nails?? She could picture the sweet hufflepuff liking this sort of thing perhaps but Ariana? No this wasn't her style at all. Nor was it Janet's honestly, she had grown up in a house full of boys and had gotten used to a life of rowdiness and rough play, she didn't mind getting a little scratched up and she didn't even consider wearing makeup, she simply didn't enjoy fashion and girly stuff as much as other girls did (similarily to Ariana which was part of the reasons the two were such good friends), although (unlike Janet) since Ariana had come to hogwarts she had grown slightly more feminine and more open to try out these sort of things. It wasn't a surprise to her that May was enjoying herself, the hufflepuff girl wasn't as similar to Janet as Ariana was and that was one of the things she liked about her, that she was different. Well maybe if Ariana and May liked it and were having fun Janet would? She had her doubts but was willing to do anything rather than be stuck up in her common room alone. So she sat down next to them and watched as May drew some little white stars on her blue nails.
"Well I don't know much about this kind of thing but they look great May," she said warmly.
Janet may not know much about makeup but she did know that as long as she could laugh and joke with her two friends it would be fun.WC: 370

Irene turned her head and Quinn looked over just in time to see of all people his head of house. The ever vibrant and funny Caradoc Browne or as Quinn secretly called him, Papa Badger. Something he felt suited the Irish head of house quite well.
Quinn pursed his lips when the head badger started to speak. He intently listened and nodded at his words. Pleasantly surprised when he spoke in the native tongue. "Thank ye professor." Quinn would quietly say petting his odd-eyed feline appreciatively. He expected to do this alone but than as always happened to him, whether good or bad. He was thoroughly surprised and this time surprisingly. Quinn was about to use his brush on the professor when a small ravenclaw girl who introduced herself as Breana Oliveire came to them.
She and Professor Browne exchanged pleasantries and she revealed her intentions of coming to the professor which made him genuinely laugh and chuckle. When Professor Brown finally spoke again he talked about letting her braid his luscious locks and than he posed the question to both him and Breana. It caused the giant to blush noticeably and visibly. "W-Well its a bit complicated but um. I was going to use a few eye shadow's and to get an interesting effect. Um I was also gonna use this black face paint to draw some stuff...i-if that's okay." He started to stutter and rub his neck nervously appearing smaller than he was. It was easy to forget that this large Hufflepuff like every student there was still just a child despite his mental maturity and body.
"And um if ye want to. Ye can also mess with me hair Breana." He sheepishly added. Irene stuck close to him curiously observing the two.Reducio

Percival walked towards the room where the little makeover and manicure session took place.Outfit minus the jacket:

He was wearing a black turtleneck shirt, and his only pair of jeans. Percival had decided to wear something he didn't really care about. In case of any spill that may take place.
The boy was certainly not alone, and a certain boy was being forcibly dragged in there with him.
Well not technically being dragged, the taller of the pair had his hand clasped tightly around the other boy's hand.
It wasn't every day that Hanako let him drag the other to some random area.
He had been a little surprised when the other had not really complained about having his hand held.
Though Percival just chalked it up to Hanako being in a good mood.
"Come on Hanako!" he said excitedly as he made his way towards an empty little table.
Percival did not let go of the other's hand till they stood in front of the table. The boy sat down eagerly, smiling at himself in the mirror.
The little table held multiple boxes of products. Percival held up a lip gloss with a confused look.
In truth, the boy had no clue what any of the products that sat before him were.
Percival frowned slightly before putting down the lip gloss carefully.
The boy picked up a facemask in a pretty looking package.
It looked fairly interesting to try, and the boy glanced at it closer.
The package had two seashells on the front and read: Anti-Stress, dead sea minerals, clay mask.
Things had been fairly stressful, especially since it was the end of the year.
His eyes widened with an excited look as he picked up a facemask brush. It had been lying with a couple of other facemasks. So he guessed that it was supposed to be used with it.
Percival turned his body so that he was facing Hanako. "Do you want me to paint it on for you?" he asked as he opened the bottle.
He squeezed some of the product, which was a dark blue color, onto the white brush.
While the boy waited for the other to reply, he streaked some of the mask on his own face.
Percival glanced back towards the mirror to observe how it looked.
A small smirk crossed his features as he found it slightly hilarious to cover one's face with what looked like paint.
Though he guessed the benefits the product claimed may be worth it. Even if they looked a little silly for about twenty minutes.
Percival glanced towards where Professor Jensen was and gave her the smallest of smiles. Even after the whole party debacle, the boy could not help but like the Professor a little.
Sure she had been a little scary, scratch that very scary, when she had to address the other students who made the situation worse. Though that was honestly understandable.
Percival never thanked her for using Scourgify on him when he had complained about needing a shower.
Maybe that was the reason the boy spoke up to her.
"Professor Jensen! Can I paint your face with the facemask?" he called rather loudly.
Inwardly, the boy hoped he wouldn't be turned down. Though outwardly he swore he would not show any disappointment.

Dealla had been so consumed by contemplating the small but slowly spreading puddle of nail polish in a mixture of fascination and horror that the sudden voice next to her made her flinch hard enough that she might have knocked into the boy, had he stood a little closer.
A moment later, the flow of nail polish stopped, both bottle and polish seemingly suspended in time.
"Oh!" Pulled from her reverie, Dee quickly reached out to carefully set the small bottle back upright and save its remaining content, before she looked up to see who had taken it upon themselves to save her from disaster. The Freezing Charm was not one they had learned in class this year, so... A second year, maybe?
Yet, the face that greeted her was one she was vaguely familiar with. Although they had never talked, she had seen the red-headed boy around, both in classes and outside of them, so he had to be a fellow first year. He was a Slytherin, if she remembered correctly.
Dee grinned and shrugged in reply to his comment, completely unfazed. It was true, she tended to be very... spirited, sometimes, and her gestures were correspondingly dynamic. "I'm sure the table wouldn't mind a little colour," she retorted, aquamarine-coloured eyes sparkling, then eyed the small green puddle critically, and amended, "Although - maybe it would mind that one." Drawing her wand, she cast a Scouring Charm, quick and precise, to free the table of its defacement. What a waste. Imagine all the nails one could have 'embellished' with that.
"Thanks for your help, by the way!" she tacked on a little belatedly, watching the remaining nail polish on the surface disappear, and offered a sincere smile. "That was a second year spell, wasn't it? How did you learn it?"
Setting her wand down, Dealla raised her gaze from the table to watch the boy who had taken a seat next to her as naturally as she would have done herself, then felt the corners of her mouth quirk up at his speculations. "I could help you find a suitable colour if you want," she offered, amusement colouring her voice. "I can't promise I'll find one quite as wonderful as this one, but I can try." She paused, tapping her nose in thought, and eyed him curiously. "What are you trying to ward off, though - creatures or idiots?"
In the meantime, however, she picked the brush of her green polish back up, and proceeded to paint the nails of her ring and middle finger. It wasn't like she could leave with just her pinky finger nail painted and announcing her presence wherever she went. What would people think? "So, what are you here for, if not to blind people with your nails?" Dee asked, gaze focused on her work. "Maybe I can offer some help to you in return, although I don't know the first thing about makeup."

As the Hufflepuff Professor suggested braiding, there was an obvious glint of excitement in Breana's eyes. The last time she had dealt with hair that's not her own was with her father's coiled locks, which she always helped braid into a somewhat messy bun. "Oh! Well, since you offered..." The tiny Ravenclaw then rolled off her sleeves, only to have it plop back to its original form. They are large sleeves, after all. With a bit of a huff and a haw, Breana just shrugged it off and figured that her sleeves will be a good sacrifice if they get any makeup stains in the future.
Breana took out her frog out of her pocket as the Head of House mentioned the impromptu party. "A-ah, well... guilty." She chuckled sheepishly, a hint of color flushing into her cheeks. "It was super fun! Do you do those music parties often, Professor?" She asked, plopping her pet frog on the top of her head. Since she may be busy working on Caradoc's hair and also seeing the fellow student's pet cat being allowed to hang here, she figured that Saps would rather settle into his usual haunt, which is on top of Breana's hair. The frog, of course, nestled in happily, with a satisfied little croak coming out of his mouth. The girl grabbed a couple of rubber bands and wrapped them on her wrist, scratching her chin as she surveyed Caradoc's hair. "Hmmm, well, since your hair isn't like Papa's, I'll probably do some of those Viking braids on the side. That way you won't hafta turn your head that much, and I won't get in the way of our makeup artist here." She said, nodding towards Quinn.
As the timid Badger student explained his own plan, Breana beamed at the idea of Caradoc having black markings on his face like a warrior. "Oooo, then that's perfect for the Viking braids! Professor Browne will probably look like he'd be ready to lead an army after we're done with him!" The girl giggled, despite not knowing that Quinn is still but a novice in the makeup department. As she grabbed a couple of locks of Caradoc's hair into her fingers to start braiding, her eyes perked up as Quinn mentioned doing the same with him. "Wait, really?" She asked, surprised at first. Not a lot of boys would think that having pretty little braid on them would look good, so Breana was taken aback. After the initial shock settled down, the little girl grinned as she worked on the professor's hair. "O-of course! Sure! Yours may be a bit shorter, but I think I can do sumthin' with it." As she tilted her head around to look at Caradoc's hair better, one would notice that her frog, Saps, would adjust to his owner's head. He really doesn't want to leave the girl's head unattended.

Makeover and Manicures
Tallis didn't know what she was doing at the manicure and makeover stations that had been set-up. She had never had much interest in makeup or dressing up but for some odd reason she had been drawn to the colorful array of items and things lined up on the table. She sat down in front of one of the mirrors and looked at herself. Her pale skin almost glowed in the light, freckles covered her small face. She tucked her hair behind her ear to reveal her blind eye. She stared at herself in the mirror, she had always been self-conscious about her blind eye. When she was younger it had been the same bright-unnatural green as her other but as the years went by it turned a pale white. Her make-up loving father told her that if she wanted she could have color contacts to hide her eye but she had always been uncomfortable about the idea and she knew both of her fathers where as well.
She looked over the makeup items and saw color contacts, she decided that maybe she would just try them on to see how they looked. She carefully picked a pair of dull green contacts and carefully placed them in her eyes. She blinked a few times and slowly looked back up at her reflection. She cocked her head to the side, unsure of what to think of the new appearance. With these on maybe people wouldn't think of her as a freak or at least not quite as much, she could have a fresh start, a new look. The idea was appealing but she couldn't help but feel as though, as she looked at herself in the mirror, that this person wasn't her, this girl was a stranger and while her life was appealing it wasn't her.
She carefully took out the contacts and cleaned them, placing them back where they where. She covered her blind-eye back up with her hair and looked back at the mirror. Maybe she should wear some kind of makeup though, even just a slight makeover. She knew how to apply makeup and was good at it but really just never had cared to wear it. One of her dads worked part-time as a makeup artist and wore makeup occasionally. She remembered having found memories of her and her dad decorating her other father's face and then him being not thrilled but didn't have the heart to tell them he didn't want to have makeup on. She smiled slightly to herself as she remembered and decided that while she wouldn't put make-up on she would do her nails. She decided to do a very simple design, a black base with little white moons and stars on each nail. She carefully looked through the piles of nail polish, surprisingly having a hard time finding a single bottle of black nail polish.
Eventually, she found one and placed it near her work station. She carefully washed her nails and cut them, doing exactly what her dad had taught her. Once again another memory came up with her and her fathers doing each other's nails, one more excited than the other. She smiled to herself again as she got ready to paint her nails. She carefully opened the pitch black bottle of nail polish and carefully took out the brush carefully and slowly started to paint each of her nails. After some time passed she finished. Now all she had to do was wait for the base to dry and she could paint the rest. She put away the nail polish and looked for a bottle of white nail polish. She soon found it had placed it near her, still waiting for her nails to dry.
She leaned back in the chair she was sitting in and closed her eyes, she started thinking about when she was younger before she had learned about her magical abilities. Even before then she had been bullied due to her size and blind eye. She had always been on the smaller side and her blind eye was definitely not what most kids would call normal, she remembered that even the parents would talk about her how she was such an odd child, why would anyone adopt a freak. It hurt her but she knew her parents always had her back and would never let her down. She opened her eyes and got back to work on her nails. She opened the bottle of nail polish and carefully designed the moons and stars on each of her nails making sure to not mess up. She soon finished and carefully closed the bottle of pearl white polish placing it back where it was. She sat back and looked at her nails, she was happy at the result even if it had taken a while. She looked once again at her reflection in the mirror and thought, that maybe she could do with a bit of makeup. She looked at her lips and saw that they were cracked and dry, a little gloss would help with that. She looked through the makeup items trying to find a simple thing of gloss. After swimming through what seemed like an ocean of items she eventually found a thing of gloss. She carefully applied it to her lips making sure to stay on her lips and not mess up. She soon finished once again putting the makeup back. She sat back in the chair and looked at herself in the mirror and smiled slightly, her dad would be proud all of his teaching wasn't for nothing which of course she would never say to him but may have thought on occasion. She decided that she had, had enough of makeup and whatnot for the day and decided to head back to her dorm. She quickly cleaned up the area around her and picked her bags up, pushing the chair back into the table. She was happy with her nails and while the thought of wearing the colored contacts still lingered in her mind she walked away, ready for what the evening would bring.

It wasn't that he'd decided to actively partake in getting a makeover, so much as he'd been swept into it after his fascination with the transformation of his fellow students. A lot of them had chosen new nail polish, or gotten slight alterations to their appearance. Assuredly the Professors were doing this all in an effort to boost the confidence of the students, while providing some of them with a foundation of skills they'd be using their whole lives.
It wasn't the majority of students that caught Sylvain's inquisitive eye though. His curiosity peaked when a girl with bleached white hair and green eyes caught his attention. They seemed to be applying nail polish at first, but broke out a box of a lovely lilac purple hair dye. Much the same shade as the Scottish Thistle native to his home of Inverie.
Entranced by their bold appearance, he then admired their choice in fashion. They sort of dressed somewhere between preppy and punk, which was different from how Sylvain enjoyed dressing. He'd chosen a nice and simple button down shirt with khaki shorts. His brown buckled belt matched his loafers and his argyle socks brought it all together.

As he peeked at them from across the courtyard, he hid behind a pillar hoping not to catch too much attention. It was honest curiosity after all. He really wanted to see how the hair turned out, and to ask if they was happy with the results of their efforts. Sylvain knew that sometimes people needed change to feel better, and looks could be a very telling thing to change.
As they came back to their station, Sylvain slipped a little closer to better see them dying their hair. He'd never dyed his hair before, but he imagined it took a lot of courage to look at the leap of faith from confidence and decide to recreate oneself in a new image. That kind of trait would be interesting to him, and prove the sort of self-assured attitude he'd been looking for in friends all year. If they could make the leap then so could he.
He wasn't particularly skilled at self-care. He'd really only trimmed his nails and gotten a haircut when told to do so, and he rarely, if ever, washed his hands outside of meal time, or after using the restroom. All of these bad habits had piled up and gotten worse over his time at Hogwarts so he decided to casually procure manicure instructions from one of the professors.
"H-hello, Professors." Sylvain said sheepishly, hoping they would seat him next to Cassandra. "Where, uh, should I sit down for a manicure?"
He cautiously returned his gaze to the person who'd captured his interest in the event to begin with, and had to nervously avoid making eye contact as he did so. Worried that Theyd find him unsettling or unnerving for gawking at them, he idly waved with a small brisk gesture of greetings. His elbow at his waist and his hand extended to signal he'd seen them. The only question he had, was whether or not they noticed him and could wave back with their hands so busy.

Cassie pulled aside their hair onto their shoulder, although for the back part of their hair a bit tricky to be colored, Cassie found a way so all their hair colored equally. Their hand ache and when Cassie push the now wet purple hair back, they forgot that they wearing white shirt. Cassie cursed under their breath when the purple color start to seeped and stain their favorite shirt.
While waiting for the coloring to start seeped through their hair and root, Cassie looked at the abandon nail polish and all the essentials they need to start doing their nails. Cassie shake the clear liquid of the nail polish bottle and crack it open. The smell of the chemical from the nail polish hit their nose. Cassie then close the nail polish.
They start trimming their nails into neat shape like they intended to. When they done with all their fingers, Cassie open again the clear liquid of the nail polish. They applied it carefully on their left with their right hand. When the nail polish half dry, they do it the other way around. Using right hand for their left hand.
Thank Merlin I am ambidextrous, Cassie thought. When the base nail polish dry, it is time for the second step. They grab the beige nail polish and do the exactly same way like the first one. When they in the middle to make their nails look pretty, a familiar voice greet their ears. The sound of timid boy asking both of the professors where he can seat.
It seems the boy decide to approach the young Serpent. Cassie smirks for the boy bravery. Some people know that Cassie is not the type of person that easy to get along with or approachable and yet for some reason this boy approach them. Cassie had to applaud for the boy courage.
"You can seat beside me if you want"Cassie said with their head down while still doing their nails. Their husky voice rasped out. Before that Cassie sense that the boy is waving at them but since they busy with the task at hands, the only thing that they can muster to said is that. When all their nails had been colored, Cassie looked up at the boy.
Knitting their eyebrows together trying to put the name onto the face. "Correct me if I am wrong you are Sylvain, right?"Cassie inquires the boy. Cassie once or twice saw the boy passing by, either with his group of friends or just him alone. It is funny how big the school is. They already stayed at the school for one year and yet only a handful of people that they know.
It is either as their acquaintances or friends some also their enemy in the making. No wonder at the beginning of the school year they often got lost. Cassie look down on the boy nails and try very hard to control their facial expression not to grimace. "Uhh.. Do you need help with that?"Asked the green eyes girl, nodded with their chin and head towards the boy hands.
"I could help you with it after I done with my nails and washed out my hair"Cassie told the boy and throw halfway smile to the argyle and loafers clad boy.

Atlas was pulled from her inner thoughts as she heard Ethen's voice pick up again realizing that in his tone he had probably sensed her sadness. The two were practically inseparable so it made sense that he would if she was acting off. Keeping her focus on the mirror in front of her she listened to his words, her heart giving a small jump when she heard him call her pretty again.
It was just a little thing but in her young mind it was everything especially because this time he had said really pretty. Giving a soft half-smile to Ethen, Atlas heard her new acquaintance interject as she tried to motivate Atlas to not let the little things get to her.
Hearing the girl ask questions about her look, gave her some brainstorming power as she looked down at the pallette trying to bring to life a look in her head. "I uhh yeah I have a lot of ideas I've just never played around with makeup before. I usually am to busy getting dirty or scuffed up so looking uhh girly isn't really a skill of mine." Atlas confessed to the young girl as she noticed a red and a purple in her kit.
"Maybe like a sunset eye look if that's a thing. I have a lot of orange on one eye so it might help to balance it out with some more colors." She thought out loud. The young girl had offered to help but Atlas felt bad having her take time away from her own look. "Also I guess there's eyeliner which seems really spooky but also fun..." Atlas continued as she cocked her head at the eyeshadow colors trying to see how to go about her look.
"My mom wears makeup but I've never thought to ask her about it because I never really cared --Not, Not that I do now...I just uhh I figure why not." She played off trying to sound like today's endeavor meant nothing to her. "And I gotta keep up with this character." She joked nodding her head to Ethen as she watched his look get crazier by the moment.
"I'm not one to ask for help, like ever but uh if you have a second I guess it couldn't hurt." She replied to Alexis as she admired her unique look.

Opeila chuckled a little when Ileen told her that she always seemed to miss that there were Errands unless someone dragged her there. The twelve year old didn't miss the sideglance and gasped with theatralic indignance. "Drags you there? That is a little harsh, don't you think? It's not like I physically forced you to come, I invited you, Ileen." She shook her head, an amused smile on her face.
Hearing her Head of House's voice unsettled Opeila a little. After the recent events, she simply didn't want to talk to her. Opeila was a causer of trouble, that was undeniable, but she knew when the fun was over. And she knew exactly that she had crossed a line with that thoughtless party in the middle of the night. After all what the professors had done to try and keep them safe, she felt simply ashamed about it now.
She chuckled at her new friend's words about disfiguring her forever. "What sort of ideas do you have that could possibly end up disfiguring me permanently? Well, now I am worried."
The brunette reached up to the back of her head and took the hairband out that held the two strands of hair together she always tied back so they wouldn't get into her face. Having them open would be an unfamiliar picture. "Go ahead! I trust you." Opeila sat on on of the chairs.
Opeila had really not expected Ileen to ask questions about Lady Margary and it hit her unprepared. "Yes, she does indeed. Don't your grandparents?" She tried to move the topic onto Ileen's family. Opeila liked her housemate but honestly didn't trust her enough to tell her about her own messed up situation.
"I can do your nails if you want.", she offered.
