It might have been a tad greedy of Eden to suggest more than one fair lady to accompany him, but he had simply liked them both, and if they were already in complete awe over him, then it wasn’t really his fault, was it? If anything, he’d be satisfying their wishes, and that seemed like a kind deed to him. Some might have complained that he was technically breaking the odds, but if the other lads in his year did not hold the same level of etiquette the white-haired Hufflepuff did, then that was their fault, and Eden only did what he had been taught - to make people like him, a task he had mostly failed at up until this point.

Especially Emilia, who seemed to be thriving and clearly enjoy his company most. It definitely brought a sincere amount of satisfaction to Eden as this was supposed to be his area of expertise - and having been making twice as many enemies as he had friends was not his regular approach. But people like Jack were exactly why. How could Eden, or quite frankly anyone, allow such menace to frustrate them and not snap back? Though this time, Little Ed was more than prepared to deflect any stupid and unnecessary comments the furry lad threw his way. In fact, Eden began to stare at his trimmed, pearl white nails whenever Jack spoke. As if to indicate that whatever it was he was on about, Eden was ignoring it.

Oh, you’re speaking? I’m too busy minding my own bloody business.

Regardless, Eden turned his attention to someone much more important and enjoyable to talk to.
“Ignore this half-wit of a goat. The fool is more concerned about what everyone else is doing than the mess he had the audacity to walk in here with.” So were most people who dared open their mouth, Eden was unfortunately used to listening to sheep by now, this one simply walked on two legs and had two tongues - one where it should have been and the other replaced his mind.

“I’m sure I won’t forget that anytime soon, Amelia, I like it.” Was Eden really that impressed? Not in particular, but it was the first thing that came to mind and Eden said it. It almost became the theme of their conversation to just throw compliments at one another. Though he preferred receiving them, he was equally good at handing them out as well. With her arm still around his, Eden conversed with the remaining peers within the group. It seemed like Jack was still running off his mouth regardless of how much Ed tried to ignore him and not give him the satisfaction of any manner of reaction. At one point, even Winnie had to interfere, and for that Eden was grateful, she validated his reasoning to see how Jack was in the wrong.

The girl was even humble enough to not accompany them for formal reasons, though Eden was about to insist, as he didn’t mind having both of his arms being weighed down by their grip, he understood her reasoning and was more than willing to accept it. He gave her a kind and gentle nod as intending to serve as a goodbye, for now. Though he was certain the lot of them would stay within the vicinity, he intended to spend most of his time with his newfound partner for the ball. Guess there was room for spontaneity more than anything that night.

As they made their way forward, Eden hoped to have a luxurious night at the brighter, and much more appealing spot, but maybe a drink or two before, his throat had started to dry and his thirst needed to be quenched.

''Hey Henry, thanks, I thought I might have went a little overkill, you know, dressing up as the father of all abominations. You look great too, Percy Jackson, correct?

Aldor greeted both of his friends, taking off his helmet. He was clearly happy to see them, and even happier that his friends liked his costume, he moved some hair away from his face, struggling a little because of the claws his costume had, he decided to answer to Tory's question.

''Quite a lot of time, as soon as I knew the theme I started working on it. I didn't want to come with a suit because I was not going to dance, even though- I do have a regular suit under the costume, just in case I change my mind. You look wonderful though.''

The boy realized that Henry was acting a little strange, and gently brushed his shoulder with his hand, trying to get his attention. He gave his friend a reasuring smile, trying to get him to feel at least a little more calm.

''I suppose you are looking for Logan, would you like to go with us to the next place? While you find your friends at least. Would that be alright, Tory?

He looked at both of them, smilling nervously, he hoped that she wouldn't mind that Henry would be with them at least for a bit, Tory was kind, at least as far as Aldor knew. The Hufflepuff might have a little too much trust in the ones that he called friends, up to this point, he was not really sure if this was a disadvantage or simply a good thing, his main focus right now was to keep his friends close, and he would do his best to stick by that conviction.

At this point, it was probably obvious to Henry, the girl was definetely not Aldor's date, in fact, it was easy to guess he would not ask anyone out at any point, he was way too shy, and both of Aldor's friends knew this perfectly, but he didn't seem to be bothered by the fact he didn't ask anyone out in a romantic way, he was too busy making the best costume he could make, and reading every single piece of literature he could find about greek mythology, he already knew a lot about the topic, but he wanted to make sure to be able to recognize any costume that he was able to see through the ball.

The balls of Hogwarts were unlike any affairs Pericles had attended. He had been to his fair share of galas, garden parties, fêtes and functions, all manner of pureblood parties. But those were often staid affairs with predictable procedures. One left coat and hat with an attendant, tracked down the host, expressed utmost gratitude, and then tried to survive the stifling socializations which followed. Maybe there was a bit of dancing, or drinking, often a speech. They were tedious at worse and tolerable at best. The balls of Hogwarts, however, were entirely unpredictable. Pericles had worn his family formals to his first dance per habit, not knowing that the school custom was to dress absurdly elaborate. It was the previous Blossom Ball, albeit one held in secrecy, one which he himself contributed to. And oh, what a glorious nightmare it had been. The plethora of petals attracted a wild swarm of mosps, pushed from their territory in the Forbidden Forest to its edges, where they would catch the sweet smells on the wind. Pericles now knew what was disturbing the woods, and he witnessed firsthand how perilous it was to gather the student body in one place. The slightest sign of trouble, and they were setting everything on fire around them. So why attend? a reasonable individual may inquire. Why not?, the second-year would answer. He was not yet a grisled fourth-year burnt out by such disasters. Why miss out on the inevitable madness?

And, how was he- a boy named Pericles Pontius Dralt, born in Greece- meant to resist this particular theme? He was raised in England, with ancestors hailing from India and Finland, yet this only encouraged his affinity. Greece was not the place of his father, or his father's father. It was where he was born, an origin he could call all his own. Greece was where his story began, and with any fortune, it was where he would one day return. With an immense sense of ceremony, Pericles donned the modern rendition of toga and palla, favoring the blue and bronze of Ravenclaw. The only indulgences were a pair of bracers and a rather princely laurel. The design, while not traditional, was practical. He dressed with the expectation that at some point or another, he would likely need to run, though anticipated the cause to be calamity. Instead, it sounded as though the organizers had gone above and beyond, preparing a series of thematic trials. Pericles did not need money, nor a fantasy title. But the chance to test his skills? To immerse himself in the theme he so adored? To have fun like an actual kid?

He expected to find his friends here, though they would surely understand how irresistible the concept was, and excuse him being a little late. Knowing them, they might even have thrown themselves into the trials already....

Mentioning:
It didn't take long till the blonde saw his french friend and would wave her over with a half smile.

"Hey Cass," Charles spoke keeping his arm around Drew's neck as he gave a half smile when the topic changed to their jumpsuits. Perhaps the blonde was started to regret wearing the camouflage jumpsuit instead of another but now he was more than happy that he choose it with his american friend.

"Apollo? Nice Cass, sliver is definitely your color," the blonde wild flash her a grin still glad to be at that ball or dance with Cassie and Drew as he added, " I wouldn't say yours is better, I think Drew and I won that competition already, " he added a bit of playfulness to the words since it was intended to be a joke.

The blonde figured they should go to the rest of the ball or perhaps do the trials, the red head wasn't there yet but Charles didn't mind as he spoke" the trial things look cool, do you guys want to do them" glancing those both of his friend as he gave a half smile and playfully nudged Cassie's shoulder with his hand while squeezing Drew's shoulders a bit as he spoke" when lion girl? Wait no red? Talker? Ah Scarlett, when Scarlett arrives we could do our know teams for the trials? Boys against girls? And winners get to know their jumpsuits are better?" The blonde would eye toward both his friends, the first part of his words were a joke while the second was a question.

That was when the red head arrived, in gold and as Artemis. Charles only nodded toward her as they continued their talk on jumpsuits until the girl spoke about the trials which peaked Charles's interest as he spoke" well then we think alike, don't we lettuce?" the blonde would eye Cassie remembering the nickname that Cassie called her on the first day.

Now it was finally time to do the trials, Charles nodded toward Scarlett as he spoke" let the best team win then, come on Drew let's beat these two shall we."

Due to being so high up, she didn't really pay much attention to people as individuals, but more like a crowd. A sea of people. It felt less intimidating than seeing them as serperate entities. Quinn however, he was feeling social. He found it more easy to do so. They ran into a familiar face. Someone Nico had a very bad first impression with, but seeing how Quinn dealt with him, the dhampir tried to be friendly.

Quinn kissed her cheek and she couldn't help but blush brightly. An attempt was made to hide her face behind her basket of flower petals. She wouldn't give him a kiss back before he was back focused on Jack. She'd plant a small, soft kiss on the back of his head before turning her head to the other side, cheeks burning.

Jack referred to them as Royalty and it made Nico even more uncomfortable. She'd soon have to just.. go with it. Being embarassed by pulling this much attention was to be expected in such an outfit that came in pairs, like theirs. She smiled softly and chuckled, charmed. With every compliment that was added she blushed and smiled warmly. 'Thank you.'

As a thanking gesture, she carefully leaned abit forward, supported by Quinn's hand, and let some petals rain down onto Jack. Even though his outfit was rather out there, maybe some petals could make it look more mystical.

INTERACTIONS:@Katrina Walker
If there was one thing the German boy could give Hogwarts credit for, it was their exquiste and fantasic ability to hold such large gatherings in such an elaborate fashion. The decorations and general theme of this widely talked about Blossom Ball rivaled even some of the social functions Durmstrang had from time to time. The school wasn't as keen on these sort of things, mind you but they were no less impressive than what had been displayed to him here at Hogwarts. This time, he would actually be inside the castle with someone he had developed quite the connection with over the couple of months they had managed to get close. He had breathed a sigh of relief when she had accepted his request, that was the sort of thing that even though Jan had no doubt in his ability, there was always those set of nerves that ate away at you like termites. His attire would be perhaps well-tailored to a more darker theme with a set of deep black robes with a silver trim that came attached with a royal cape draped across one shoulder.

His hair was unusually tidy today swept to one side complete with the black pendant that hung from his chest and the silver wolf ring that was present on his thumb evident of one of the many sacred beasts that were revered in Greek culture. Fitting, he thought that such a strange and powerful animal would be honored in such a manner. Pushing all thoughts of Greek history and his own attire out of his way, the time had come to see if this celebration would peak his interest in any way. First, however, there was the matter of finding Katrina in this castle packed to the brim with students and staff alike as the boy gently pressed his way through doing his best not to turn too many heads his way, the dark theme of his outfit helped with that wondering what to expect. It wasn't his first ball and he sure hoped it would not be his last but it was a new experience going with a date.

There was just something about the fiery red hair and the..nevermind. Nevertheless, he had been graced with enough social skills to know how to conduct himself. He could not mess up, not here. Arriving at the predisclosed location where they had made arrangments to link up, he would stand off to one skid skimming the crowd for that face he knew so well by now. It would not be too terribly diffculy to pick Katrina out of a crowd unable to suppress a smile as her image sprang to his mind for a moment. It seemed like seconds ticked by but he could have sworn that was her that stuck out just a few feet away. Throwing caution to the wind, he immersed himself within the crowd before he materalized before her clearing his throat as he looked at her.

"Katrina."

His eyes would skim her garb as he paused to consider for a moment before an small, genuine grin slipped onto his expression. "You look stunning. Schön." All the compliments he could muster up and think of in that present moment in time as he offered his arm to the girl before nodding towards where the stream of students were flocking towards. "Shall we then?" Together, they would explore this curious little place that had been dubbed the Underworld and from where he stood, he supposed it fit the moniker well with it's dark and brooding tunes and general relaxed nature. It reminded him a bit of the halls at Durmstrang, not that he was homesick or anything.

A gentle pause of silence.

"You guys really know how to go all out." Jan was not one who was impressed easily but this night, that had already been twice. First, the decorations and second, the redhead who lingered by him. Perhaps it was a good omen, they could chalk it up to that.

With each passing minute, the company of nobody but herself was starting to become quite depressing. For someone who enjoyed nothing more than being alone now felt the weight of vulnerability sitting heavily on her shoulders. She had to get herself together. The stand beside her holding a large bowl of sweet punch and small goodies caught her attention. A glass in one hand and a hand full of sugar-coated sweets in the other had the Slytherin in a somewhat peaceful state. Or so she thought. The constant sipping of what she was telling herself was alcohol and odd sweet tossing into the crowd was immature and sure to turn a few heads her way but it amused her, so so what?

A familiar voice brought Falentras attention back to the crowd before her. Her eyes set themselves on a figure that made its way towards her. An automatic smile grew across her face. ''Fuck me! Is that really you?'' Falentra blurted out before chugging back the remainder from her cup then throwing it off to the side along with the sweets. In every way possible Falentra was the absolute opposite of Flash. Their social and physical approach to others would have anyone believe that the pair wouldn't get along in the slightest. And yet she loved him like a brother.

The tough, unapproachable front she had up soon lowered. Her arms extended and her hands rested on his shoulder, gripping them tightly. In every other encounter she had made with Flash she had pulled him into a tight embrace and made sure to check over him like a worried mother would with her baby. However, he had grown up so much since she last saw him. Either that or this suit aged him well. ''Not to bad yourself.'' She threw the compliment back at him before removing her hands. They would return to their usual posture; folded with her weight falling back against the wall. It wasn't very lady-like, at least not while wearing such an elegant piece of clothing but then again, when did she ever care what others think? Always.

Her attention was still fully focused on Flash. She observed his reactions and studied the posture he was giving off himself. She wasn't sure if he was a tad uncomfortable or if this was just how he was now that he had grown up some more. A thought that still hadn't sit properly with her. ''You doin' alright?'' It was a question of concern so rather than keep her gaze on him, she let it wander off into the crowd whilst she waited for his response. Part of her wanted him to avoid asking where Howard was. It was probably a breaking point for her if he was to. To cry in front of Flash wasn't an issue, but in front of a room full of people was out of the question so she only prayed for what he had in store.

Mikael walked into the Underworld, his shoes clicking against the stone that made up the courtyard floor. Hogwarts never ceased to bring anything more than sour disappointment. There were no competitors here. No one could ever match the strong capability that Durmstrang students wore with pride. He didn't need faith to know that Durmstrang would take home the win. There would be no other option.

His eyes were a light underneath the mask he wore. Bright with a sense of the glory of an old will he hadn't felt in a while. Competitions always brought out the best in him. The cold calculative drive to crush those around him to bits and pieces. Friend or foe. It had brought him no joy when he had learned Yefim would be competing alongside him in the race to win. In a battle where everyone was your enemy, left little room for one's own allies. Mikael had inwardly decided if, given the choice, he would choose to leave Yefim alone. Even if it would only be for a little while.

The metal of the mask was cool against his skin. Any colder and it would have been uncomfortable. Though, he appreciated what the mask brought him. A shield against the outside world. His mask made sure no one would be able to see his facial expression as readily. It provided a sense of protection no matter how little it truly protected. Though, whether he felt protected from other people or his own feelings he wasn't too sure. The thought that someone could recognize made his skin crawl as if a thousand spiders were clawing their way to his brain. Despite everything that pushed against him, he continued to march forward with no fault in his step.

Evelyn nervously entered the ball. Usually, Evelyn loved people. She liked being in the center of everything, and, at least back home, usually was. Now, however, with all the noise and chatter of the ball, she felt a bit out of it.

She smoothed her hands over her pale periwinkle dress. The top had lacy designs, a large white bow was tied around her waist, and the dress extended all the way to the floor. Her hair had been carefully styled and tied with white silk ribbons.

Evelyn could only hope that it was formal enough--but not too formal--for the ball. Never had she been more concerned about her appearance. But the young first year was determined to make an impression. And maybe meet some people who she could become friends with.

It was her first bell ever at Hogwarts, and she was incredibly excited. This was her opportunity, even though the year was closing, to maybe meet some people. Evelyn headed over to the blue flame. It was really quite creepy, yet, at the same time, it drew her in. Peering closely at it she continued to inspect it further.

Just then she noticed another girl--one that was vaguely familiar--near the flame. She had a cup of something in her hand and, as Evelyn watched, she drank it. The drinks smelled odd in Evelyn's opinion and, for that reason, she had opted out of taking one.

Slowly, Evelyn walked up to the other girl, preparing to introduce herself. Maybe it would be a bit odd, but all she could do was hope the other girl wouldn't mind.

"Hello," she said, "My name is Evelyn. Evelyn Folse. I'm a Hufflepuff. First Year."

Now she could only hope she hadn't freaked the girl out.

Evelyn Folse
