Rosalind felt so peaceful. As she walked towards the courtyard, she hugged herself and longed for the upcoming activity. The veela had already participated once in an activity set up by the Heads of Houses there and she had loved every second of it. As she daydreamed away, she suddenly faltered as her foot had caught on a stone. As she regained her balance, she saw some Hufflepuffs giggle at her stupidity. The silver haired teen blushed brightly, a stark contrast with her light skin. Then she up righted herself and checked her bearings. She couldn’t see anything of hers on the ground but still, she had the constant need to reassure herself of her most prized possession. An old tarot card deck her grandmother had once given her. Recently she had found it stuffed in a corner of her chest and since then she had it wrapped carefully in her bookbag. She hoped she had some time in the future where she could peacefully hone her skill.

As she finally neared the courtyard, she smirked again. If there was one thing that could make her feel delighted it was tea and making tea bag in animal shapes, that would be lovely.

Rosalind took a step towards one of the more empty tables, as she hoped one of her friends would turn up. Not that she outright invited them. No, Rosalind had taken quite some sideroads and detours explaining what she was going to do today. Because if they didn’t like it they wouldn’t feel obliged to join her. Rose was still relatively new to trusting and verbalising her exact intentions to others, even if it was about simple tea making. Rose shrugged, that was what her upbringing did to a person. Suspicious until the day she died. Still, she would be quite pleased if her two fellow misfits would show up.

Once she was settled at her table, she started gathering her equipment. The silver haired girl could already start the tea making and participate in the activity while she waited for them to come. If they would come…

As the outer linings of her tea bag and filter, Rosalind decided for a normal paper filter, so that her animals would be see-through. Then she politely asked one of the house-elves if they could bring her some fruity tea leaves, as she was quite the sweet tooth. Before the house-elf could apparate away, she asked for some British biscuits and warm Raspberry tea. The house-elf eagerly nodded and with a snap of her fingers everything was delivered on the veela’s table. After a quick thanks, the house-elf went on to help other students.

After a quick debate with herself Rosalind decided to make an otter, a squid and maybe, if she was still up to it, a shark.. ‘A quite uncommon trio indeed.’ She thought and shrugged. They were really different shapes, so she could go in every direction she wanted with them. Then she looked around once more, quietly hoping that one of her friends would arrive soon. As she saw no one the veela decided to get started on the otter.

Rosalind tried to envision how she would do it. The lioness started twirling her pencil around, that she used to outline her work. She really struggled with drawing out the shapes she wanted to and wondered how others could get such neat drawings. Still, she loved every second of this activity. The thinking and figuring out how to make plans successfully were always her favourite part and as she was quite the mischievous girl, this tended to happen occasionally.

As she was doodling the body of her otter she got the hang of it. She drew the arms and legs of her otter separately, so that she could attach these later unto the body and her otter could swim. Rose smiled at that. It would be a lovely sight, a swimming otter just inside her teacup. The veela felt so delighted by this. She felt she couldn’t sit still anymore and began shimmying around in her seat, almost as if she was dancing to a silent beat.

After she felt quite satisfied with her shapes she decided to cut them out. Then she started on a simple shell shape her otter could hold unto. For this she chose one of the more shinier papers. So that her shell would stand out from her otter teabag.

It already looked so put together and it wasn’t even finished yet. Rose grappled for the sewing supplies and started sewing the top parts of the otter together whilst leaving the bottom open so she could stuff it with the fruity tea leaves.

Rosalind observed the courtyard and could see the different house-elves hop all over the place and serving all the students. Rosalind loved how they were always willing to help. Rosalind angled her face towards the sun and let them gently kiss her face. She found the atmosphere so enchanting. Everybody was busy with their own animal tea bags but still managed to help others on their table. It seemed most of the students took this activity serious and genuinely enjoyed it. Rosalind took her now lukewarm raspberry tea and started enjoying her British biscuits. It was surely a lovely combination.

The Bulgarian decided to focus on her own work again and rolled her shoulders to get back into the game. “Focus!” She mumbled to herself. “I can do this.” Then at last, she sewed the bottom part of her otter and sewed the limbs on as well. For a finishing touch she decided to draw a face and whiskers onto her little friend. As the veela gently held her otter, she noticed it wasn’t fully done yet. It still missed a string to connect to the shell. After fidgeting to get it on, she clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth, making a little frustrated noise. When it was finally done the silver haired girl fist bumped the air, happy that she succeeded.

Her otter laid by her side, as she poured herself a new cup of tea and gently cupped her cup in her hands. She leaned slightly back unto her chair and looked the courtyard over once more.

Erik was running late. It was nothing new nor unheard of, but still he was desperately frantically making his way to the courtyard. As much as he tried he didn't seem able to get there in time. It was like all of Hogwarts had it out for him today. He elbowed his way through not caring if he threw his peers to the ground at this point. He was running late and they were in his way. Being polite wasn't really on top of his priority list at the moment.

A couple of elbows later, Erik had finally arrived at the courtyard. He slowed down his pace and casually walked over to where the tables were standing. It seemed like everyone had already started on the task at hand. The blond boy observed all of the tables as he was in search of the one person that had invited him to... Well, whatever this really was. As Erik let his eyes slide over the numerous tables and all of the people attending he recognised a few faces and could even put a name to a couple of them. Finally, his eyes rested on a silver haired girl. He smiled as he made his way towards her table, pulled back a chair and dropped himself on it as he sighed heavily.

Hey, Silver! How have you been? Erik looked over at her as she was cutting out the shapes of her tea bags. Oh, wow, that's stunning! I didn't know you were that talented? Have you been holding out on me? The Slytherin laughed at his own joke. He couldn't help himself.

Erik looked at Rosalind's work. She kept on going. The little lioness seemed to have the idea perfect in her head as she deliberately kept on working on her tea bags. The werewolf looked at her in wonder. The Norwegian boy looked over at his part of the table. Blank. You could guess what the inside of his head looked like if you could take a peek inside. Exactly. Blank. If, Erik was completely honest with himself, he had no clue what he was doing. Let alone why he had come here. This was nothing for him. This whole thing was dull and tedious, but he had promised Rosalind he would be here and he wasn't going to be the one who disappointed her. He just couldn't say no to her. When she looked at him with those big, dark grey Bambi eyes of her he couldn't resist. He caved for her. His unwavering and relentless stubbornness had caved in like someone would have knocked over a house of cards. Effortless. She had put him in a situation where he felt clueless and awkward. Erik was tense and nervous. He always was when he was around her, but especially now he had no clue what to do or what his next step should be.

The werewolf looked over at the different tables and it seemed like he was the only one that hadn't done a thing as of yet. Erik was considering his options. On one hand, he could try his best to try and make something out of this and on the other he could just be his usual self and be smart about it. He chose for the latter option. Discretely Erik waved one of the house elves over. He whispered in its ears. Here's two galleons now go get me an animal shaped tea bag. I don't care which. If you make it appear right now I'll double the galleons. The house elf looked at the galleons in its hands and back at Erik and nodded as he snapped his fingers and vanished from sight. What the?! The werewolf sat there for a couple of minutes with his hands in his hair. Just sitting there. There was no other option anymore. He had to embarrass himself and start making his own animal shaped tea bag. For the love of Merlin., was all Erik said as he ordered a house elf to gather, filter paper, rosehip tea leaves and soluble thread.

After he had gotten some filter paper he started out drawing the shape of a wolf. He drew out nine different parts. The head, ears, limbs, tail and body. It went quite well, even though it had taken him forever (in reality a mere couple of minutes) to cut these figures out in the shape he had wanted. Concentrating on the task at hand, he stuck out his tongue as he dedicated himself to cutting them out. Slowly he started crushing all the leaves into powder before filling the filter paper with the now crushed rosehip leaves.

Once done, he started to sow these parts on one tea bag, that Erik used as the body of the wolf, with soluble thread. He tried his hardest to get the stitches just right as when they wouldn't let loose as soon as he would pick them up. He made a few extra stitches to be on the safe side. You never knew. Especially if you never had done this in your life before. To be completely honest Erik was just copying Rosalind as she stitched. She seemed like she knew what she was doing. The side of the table that the blond boy was occupying was a complete and utter mess. People would probably wonder what he was doing and it there was a good chance Erik himself didn't know it either.

Finished!, he yelled out in victory as he jumped up and his chair clattered to the ground. That's when he heard Rose mumble under her breath. You sure can! I believe in you! A couple of minutes later she had finished her otter. Well done. That's quite a piece of art., he commended Rosalind for her work. Look at this. Erik snapped his fingers and immediately a house elf stumbled towards their table and filled a cup with hot water. The werewolf dropped his wolf-shaped tea bag with a smile, but it quickly turned into a frown as he noticed the pieces separate from one another as the soluble thread dissolved when it came in contact with the water. The Slytherin was mortified and silently sank back on his chair and hit his head against the table in defeat.

Fyriel was relaxing in the Hufflepuff common room. With (yet again) a book in her hand and a cup of fresh made blackberry tea in the other, she was having a nice day so far. "No assignments due, no projects to finish... Just me and my cup of tea.. ", the girl hummed. As Fyriel took another sip of her hot tea the hufflepuff's mind felt a familiar sense. An itchy feeling on the bump on her head made her think: "Hmm.. Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something?" Her mind pondered for a few seconds but she couldn't remember what it was. Her gaze fell upon the specks at the bottom of her teacup and all of a sudden she knew, her eyes grew wide as she uttered: "TEA! That's it! Oh no, I'm meant to see Rosalind in... fifteen minutes ago?!" Fyriel’s eyes grew wide as she flung her book on the common room's sofa and quickly set her cup of hot tea down on a side table. Evidently, she was in too much of a hurry and wasn't very careful with the teacup. Hot blackberry tea splashed on her sleeve and she cursed. The Hufflepuff was wearing a comfortable outfit that fitted for an afternoon inside her dorm. Fyriel recalled Rosalind had invited her to something on the Courtyard so she quickly ran to her dorm room, grabbed a navy blue sweater from her cupboard, which happened to match her dark blue/black hair, and stormed out to the Courtyard.

Today’s outfit was clearly not well prepared but nevertheless looked decent on the Hufflepuff. Her dark, straight hair quickly put up in a messy bun with strands poking out. Her face a pale colour as always but blood had rushed to her cheeks and filled her them with a bright pinkish red. Fyriel had taken off her symbolic necklace to clean it and left it on her bed side table. Her hand briefly touched her neck as she remembered where she had left it. It was a strange and naked feeling, she rarely took it off. Only for cleaning it and when she went swimming which was barely once a year, she despised swimming. How people could spend a whole day in water was something she would never get her head around. It’s filthy and on top of that dangerous.. With a light tug the rushed huffle straightened her cable-knitted sweater. After she was happy with it her hands went up to her hair to make the messy bun a bit less messy. Underneath it she wore a basic black tank top paired with black jeans. She hoped they weren’t supposed to wear school attire for this event because she didn’t have time to go change. Her casual outfit would have to suffice.

Arriving at the Courtyard Fyriel saw the place was filled up with square, wooden tables, students from all houses and house elves sprinting around to help where they were needed. A little surprised and stupefied as to what was going on she nervously rubbed her hands together. Her hand brushed over the wet tea stain on her sleeve to try and make it less obvious. “I hope Rosaling won’t notice, she will think I’m a slob.” The spilled beverage hadn't left a coloured stain but she would have to wash the stickiness from the sugar out one way or another. The Hufflepuff scanned the tables until she saw one stand out. One table in particular had a silver-haired girl sitting next to another student. She couldn't see who it was but from the back of the person’s head she assumed it was a boy. He was facing the other way but she was sure the girl had to be Rosalind. Thus, with an enthusiastic prance in her step Fyriel walked over to the table and as she neared the cosy set-up she spoke: "Rosalind, hi! Oh my, I completely forgot about today, I’m so sorry I'm late. I ran as quickly as I could once I realised-." Fyriel turned to face the boy and wanted to say hello to him. It would have been rude to ignore Rosalind's other guest. When the huffle looked at him she noticed he was banging his head on the table. Fyriel analysed the table when her eyes focussed on a cup of tea with drowning body parts of what she could barely make out to be a wolf. "Ah, I see..." Fyriel snapped her fingers and a house-elf came running towards their table. "I think we need a new cup here, please." The house-elf vanished and came back only a few seconds later with a fresh cup of hot water. He set it down on the table and apparated to another pair of students who caught his attention.

The young Huffle sat down in between Rosalind and the blonde-haired boy which she still hadn't introduced herself to. It seemed a bit strange to start talking to him while his head was on the table but she ignored it and spoke: "I got you a new cup so you can start over now. I'm Fyriel by the way." The mysterious boy lifted his head off the table at the sound of her voice and in one instant Fyriel recognized him. Blonde, nearly white head of hair, venomous green eyes, the badger knew this boy. It was Slytherin's pureblood pride (but less joy) Erik Tharaldson. She had encountered him once by the side of the Great Lake where they shared a peaceful sunset, a jug of hot chocolate milk and diverse opinions on her housemates. Erik looked up at the Hufflepuff with a dumbstruck impression on his face as he realised who she was; "Huhn, what are you doing here badger?” Fyriel could clearly see he wasn’t expecting anyone else on his… whatever he was doing with Rosalind. Could this be a date of some sorts? Or was he using Rose to get something he needed? Fyriel had yet to make up her mind about the Slytherin and his intentions. She decided to keep an eye on him in the future, for hers and Rosalind’s sake.
