A Christmas note to...
Opeila had been busy the last days. She indeed managed to sneak off to buy some presents during the Hogsmeade errand and now it was time to deliver them. The young Slytherin couldn't afford valuable things, she didn't buy bug and expensive presents, just little somethings she hoped her friends would like.25th December, Morning
Well... friends and people she felt deserved at least a thank you. So she wrote some letters, some longer, some shorter, that she wrapped around the presents. It didn't look very pretty, but... It probably wouldn't have either when she wrapped them in proper wrapping paper. Opeila had never been too talented with presents. Letters either. Still, she wanted to do a small thing for a few people, some of them her friends, some of them appreciated in a different way.
That other day she had met this Hufflepuff girl in the study room, Adlai Rod, and they had been preparing gifts together. It seemed like a while ago and for the first time ever, Opeila had difficulties to look back to the always stressful days before christmas. This year, she was alone for this day. This year, everything just seemed wrong and different.
And yet, she wanted to show appreciation to some of her new friends and acquaintances in Hogwarts.
She had gotten up early this morning to set up a number of envelopes and packages with names on them in the common room and also asked some houseelves to help her to deliver her gifts. It was all done.

A Christmas note to...
Dear @Griseldis Edelhardt,
Another year is about to end and I just want to use this opportunity to tell you, that it has been much nicer with you in it. Thank you for our wonderful first meeting and sharing your cauldron cakes with me, I hope we can repeat that some time- Only that I bring the food!
I hope you have an amazing Christmas. Also, I just realized that I have no idea, if you're staying in Hogwarts over the holidays, I will ask a house-elf to deliver it. If you went home, well, I am sure the gifts will still be fine when you return. This is nothing big, only a few somethings from Hogsmeade (Yes, I snuck off to buy some things. It was a unique chance, can you blame me?
I hope that we will have an amazing and even better next year. I will be a third year, so we can go to Hogsmeade together sometime! Hopefully you and your family are fine with the virus and everything- Honestly I can't remember if you told me, if your parents are muggles or not, if you did, I am afraid I have forgotten.
I hope you like your gifts!
Merry Christmas,

A Christmas note to...

Dear @Flash Holmwood,
This may or may not be my fifth attempt to write this letter, because I feel like I can't put into words properly what this last year has been to me. Madness, craziness... I feel like that is not even remotely enough words.
Our friendship started and still is far from what is normal for people our age, I am quite certain- though, what is normal in Hogwarts, right?- but I'd never trade it for any normal friendship in the world. When I felt like I was falling with all the stuff happening around me, you caught me and made me feel understood like no one else did. Because of you I don't feel so alone anymore and I am so grateful for that, that I don't even dare to simply say 'thank you'.
I know we haven't talked so much this year, but doing the trick or treating errand as well as the ice hockey game have been fun! I should totally try to get better though, I feel like I have been sitting on the ice half of the time.
But what I want to say is that, even if we have not talked a lot, I am still there for you, should you ever need a friend to talk to.
Merry Christmas,
