15th November
Opeila enjoyed spending time in the owlery lately. The company of birds was calming, much different from many people the Slytherin knew.
Loras grew more wary around the animals after he was pecked by one of them. He had learned not to invade their private space. As he didn't get seriously injured, Opeila didn't mind. The lesson he learned was one he probably needed to learn.

This sunday Opeila went up to the owlery again, taking a blanket, her cat and a box with food for Loras, for birds and herself. She liked having time for herself, doing anything she felt like doing. The Slytherin had realized a few weeks ago how much times like that pulled her back to a road of normality, kept her from going insane.

Opeila placed the blanket in the middle of the owlery and the box on top, before she sat down. It only took a few minutes until a few more curious owls landed on the ground nearby, eyeing the box and Loras. "Hello there...", Opeila said smiling, and took some of the birdfood out of the box. She had once again asked a houseelf to supply her with that. Leaning forward, she threw some of it towards the birds. It was only dry food, probably nowhere comparable to a freshly killed animal, but it seemed that the owls were fine with that still.
Loras layed down on the blanket next to her, his head leaning against her leg. Watching the birds, she stroke his fur with one hand.

Interacting with @Opeila Winters
It had been a very harsh month for Griseldis after a certain event happened to her not so long ago, and for that reason, she worked herself even harder than before by doing her Prefect duties and studying non-stop to the point it almost exhausted her. Both mentally and physically. It has always been her own way of trying to forget the bad things but the method might be healthy though. Maybe she should write a letter to ask her wise grandfather for advice or be honest with her parents about how she had been feeling lately in Hogwarts.

During Sundays, she would visit the Owlery to check on her owl, Crystal, and perhaps today her feathery companion could help to give her some comfort. Her Crystal had always been a good listener which sometimes made her think that animals were better than humans. They would never criticize and had the ability to understand a person's feelings, unlike the people she knew from the past. She even brought some Chocoballs and a few books with her to read. She decided to spend time with not only her owl but other school owls as well. The smell there might not be too good but after visiting the Owlery so often, she starting to get used to it and the place wasn't really that dirty, just a lot of feathers around. The House-elves would come to clean the Owlery a few times a week and taking care of the owls.

Walking up the stairs to the Owlery and once the Prefect reached the top, she saw someone she hadn't seen for a while who was sitting on a blanket feeding the owls and there was a cute cat leaning beside the girl. "Opeila!", Griseldis beamed, she remembered the one time she shared Cauldron cakes with the young Slytherin girl, it was one of the most pleasant experiences she had with someone. Before getting closer to Opeila she heard a gentle hoot sound from behind, she turned to the side and noticed it was Crystal flying towards her. Griseldis quickly lift up her arm up for her to land on, "Oh hi, Crystal. You're looking fine as usual." Crystal simply just nodded her head and made a few hoots.

Looking back at Opeila, she greeted her with a smile, "Long time no see, Opeila. It's such a nice coincidence to see you again. How are you doing lately?", then she looked at the cat, "And who is this cute little fellow? I didn't know you have a cat as your companion." she asked out of curiosity.

A voice called Opeila's name, making the little Slytherin turn around. Her face lightened up when she saw who entered the owlery, it was Gris, one of her Gryffindor friends. "Gris!", she answered, smiling. "I am fine, how are you? Is that your owl?" The second year watched the older girl talking to a white owl that had landed on her arm.

Gris then noticed Loras next to her. "Oh, that is Loras. I got him from my grandmother last easter, but he didn't spend a lot of time with me until summer. But he got used to me now." Smiling, Opeila rubbed him between the ears until Loras started to purr. " He also used to not be good in the owlery, but after getting pecked once, he knows better than to bother birds that are his or over his size."

"Are you going to join us?", Opeila asked and made some space on the blanket, lifting Loras onto her lap and placing the box somewhere else. "I took sandwiches and some candy from the Great Hall." Opeila paused at another thought. "Is that allowed? Taking food from the Great Hall? Or do you have to give me detention now?" She asked the last question with a rather amused smile. Even if that was the case, Opeila was sure that detention with Gris couldn't be too bad.
