An Owl Away

Dear Alan,
You must still be worried about your fathers condition, but as we have told you during our last conversation, he is doing so much better now. He can do much by his own again and is even free to leave the hospital since yesterday. He cannot leave now, he is still too weak for such a long flight back home, but worry not; we will be home soon. But remember, we are only a owl away from you.
This is not the only happy news I have for you, we will be marrying, my son. Your father and I did not want to wait anymore, knowing how difficult these past weeks had been. On paper we are already married now, little lion. However we did not want to celebrate such a special day without you, which is why we will be waiting until we are back in London and have you to help us make the day perfect. As tradition in our family goes, your father is happy to accept my surname and I hope you will be as well.
I hope that school is going along nicely for you and that you are still making as many friends, you have told me about some nice encounters you had made and how some of the teachers treat you. I hope that the Flying professor will not continue to bother you and I am sure that you can achieve anything you want to. Don't let her talk you down like that and fight her with your courage. Be not scared to ask for help, I am sure one of the kids in your school would be willing to help you with your goal.
