I honestly don’t know how this letter just casually nesting on my hand and I thought it was a love letter or something, but turns out it’s not. Since I already opened it, it might be rude if I decide to ignore you which is not my intention.

I can see that you are one of those smart kids who can learn second year spells so flawlessly, and I am not that kind of person. Though, if you think you are not normal, why do you want to be normal? Is it just because you want to fit in and have many friends? Scratch that. Do not ever change for other people, you won’t be happy that way.

No one can be perfect in all aspects. I don’t know if this will make you feel better, but I don’t really have many friends either. I do have one super close friend, she’s a muggle. But I think that’s enough for me for now. She accepts me the way I am, I don’t have to change myself to be more ‘fitting socially’, don’t know what that means. I am not the wise kind of person, most people think I am very childish and I am aware of that. But, I think, you should ask yourself, what is your goal? What do you want in life? And go chase that, the others will come eventually. Hopefully.

Thanks for your letter, it made me feel better. Well, it's mostly the chocolate bar (I like that too).
You know, it seems that luck is good. If you got my letter, you must get it. A love letter? It made me laugh. I have to thank you for that first.
So you're saying it could be normal. I'd be fine with it because that's what I want. To be one step ahead. Actually, it's not really the lack of friends that I have a problem with. It's the loneliness. It was a shock for me. I had to leave my Muggle friends and I haven't really socialised since.
Loneliness wasn't really a problem before my birthday. But the one envelope with three letters in it put me off a bit. You know what I mean?
So you're saying I don't need to change? I don't need to change? You mean I can still be the class nerd who hardly ever laughs and has hardly any friends? Actually, I don't mind that at all. I just realised that.
We're almost at the end of the year, and I wanted to know if you had any goals for next year. I'd like to be a Duelist.

First of all, cool name. Are you a Gryffinclaw? You know, Gryffindor slash Ravenclaw. I’m glad that you like chocolate. I would have sent you a howler if you don’t like it.

Yes, loneliness can be harsh. Do your muggle friends know that you are a witch? Do they know about magic? If they do, it will be much easier for you to send them letters. I sent my muggle friend a bunch of letters since my first day here, and she was so excited to receive letters from owl because who still do that ancient stuff these days? Honestly, the wizarding world needs to step up its game in term of technology. Do you know what technology is? If you don’t I can explain it to you in the next letter, don’t feel bad for not knowing, it’s a muggle term after all.

That is what I meant, but not entirely. If you feel like you need to change because you want to for the better version of yourself, then do. But if you want to change because someone else told you to do that but you are not so sure about that, then don’t. It’s not worth your time and effort to try to be the person people expect you to be, at least that’s what my muggle friend told me. I had a hard time making friends, I still am. I think I do better in communicating via letters than face to face. But I do have some tips for you, I joined a lot of clubs here, and that helps me to know more interesting people. So far, I’m in six clubs already and I had so much fun. Maybe it is something that you can consider doing.

Duellist? That’s cool. Since you can learn spells above your year, I’m sure you can be a great one. I actually don’t really have a short term goal, to be honest. I usually just go with the flow, really. But I do really want to win quidditch for the ra my house next year. I’m so excited to train during the holiday!

Thank you. (Chuckles) No, I'm actually a full Ravenclaw. It's just that I'm a redhead, so...(Oh boy! You'll find me now! Lol) But chocolate is the basis of good food!

I accept loneliness as it comes. My muggle friends don't know. I didn't know how to tell them, how they would react... They think I'm at boarding school in Scotland. Which is not wrong. And I have to admit that the wizarding world is way behind in technology.

The thing is, I'm afraid of the image people have of me. I'm afraid they'll think I'm just a shy, lonely girl. Lonely, I am. Shy, no. I just don't really like talking. It's the same problem as you from what I understand. But really, 6 clubs! I've got my books and my Charms. What are these clubs? I'll find out.

I'm planning on taking Defense Against the Dark Arts spells next year. It will be very useful. Don't you think I'm overdoing it a bit?
So you play Quidditch? Don't be afraid to say your house, anyway, I think we're gonna have to meet. Maybe not right away, but I'd love to know who you really are. Of course, we can continue to exchange letters. I mean, if you don't want to, that's fine.

That’s really good to hear! I mean, read. In fact, I am an eagle too! Or raven, but since the Ravenclaw crest is indeed an eagle, not a raven, I’d like to call all of the fellow Ravenclaws as eagles. So this also answers your question of which quidditch team I am in.

Now I really feel bad for you. I mean, I always complaining about the fact that my friend is not a witch. She knew about me in Hogwarts and all that, actually, she was with me when I did my first magic, and she was really excited about that and asked me to do some more. I am not saying that it will be easy to tell people that you are a witch, especially when the wizarding world itself is in hiding from the muggle world. But I think if they are a good friend, you will not lose them.

To be really honest, I don’t really feel lonely. Bored yes, but not lonely since I prefer to work in my own space without anyone interrupting me. I don’t think I am that shy anymore if I compare myself now with how I used to. About the clubs, I joined the headliner, which is a Hogwarts publication, the frog choir, Hogwarts ISR which would be fun if you want to learn about other cultures, WORD which is a writing club, the Archery club, and I am planning to join the aspirant animagi club. There are lots of other clubs too if you don’t find mine are interesting enough.

Defense against the dark arts, huh? That should be fun. Actually I prefer potion than that, but it is also one of my favourite subjects. I don’t really think you’re overdoing it. You are just more ambitious than others, nothing’s wrong with that. I’d love to meet up someday, if you want to, of course. But please bear in mind that I am not very good with words, but I will bring chocolates!

It's great that you're in Ravenclaw too! I always wondered why it was an eagle if it's Ravenclaw. It doesn't make much sense...
In fact I am afraid of their reaction, I am afraid that they are afraid of me. You say that your friend accepts you as you are? After this letter I will write them one. You have convinced me of that. I will explain it to them.
It's the same for me. Well, most of the time. I only get lonely when I'm not busy or thinking about my friends...
All these clubs! I think I'll join the aspiring animagi club too. But no others... I can't do it. I am too shy in public. Again, the animagi club is cool because it's to teach me how to turn into an animal, and animals don't talk.
Are you up for a meeting? That's great. Don't worry about the talking, chocolate is enough (haha). And I'm glad you think I'm not overdoing it. Since I want to be a Duelist, it's more practical to use Defense Against the Dark Arts. But I'm a big fan of potions too. Maybe in my third year... I'm doing too much now.
And for our meeting, where and when do you want us to do it? I think we go to school together. Then one of us would just have to... No, we wouldn't dare.

Well, it's decided. Thursday, for breakfast, I'll take out a chocolate bar so you'll recognize me. But only if it suits you.

I totally get it. The worst case scenario is that they will see you differently, and I hope you don’t have to experience anything like that. But yeah, you could definitely try to tell them, but I think the first thing that will pop out of their mind is that you are just bluffing.

I recommend you to put yourself out there more. I can tell that you are a nice person, there will be no doubt that you will get one or two friends in no time. Yeah, being an animagi is cool, but I don’t think I know much about it, and from muggle perspective, I think it is quite scary to be really honest. But of course, I haven’t really read anything about it from the magic perspective. If it’s legal then, I suppose it should not be harmful, am I right?

I’d love to meet up, and Thursday sounds good to me. Actually I have an activity in mind, though you don’t have to agree with me if you don’t feel like doing it. I was thinking, instead of breakfast, what about we meet up on the ground or somewhere outdoor during the lunch break? I will bring my stuff, like water bottles and all that, then we can do muggle bowling thing. If you don’t know what bowling is, I will demonstrate it to you tomorrow. If you like the idea, please bring anything that looks like a bottle if you have any!

I agree with you. It is indeed possible that they think I am bluffing. We used to create a lot of stories with magic. Without putting me in danger, of course. We were elves, fairies, we recreated the books we read... It was great. So, they'll think I'm starting a new game.

To expose myself? I don't know. Not right away anyway. What you say is very kind. I'll give it a try.
I've done some research and, from a legal (wizard) point of view, if you're a registered animagus, it's legal. But it's true that muggles must find it creepy! To answer your question, it seems that depending on the animal, it can have positive effects on health.

Bowling... Why not. Don't worry, I know the rules and the concept. I've played it a few times before. And I must say I'm pretty good at it. I'm very clever...
As for the skittles, I think I can get some bottles from the kitchen. I'm really looking forward to it! See you tomorrow.
