Seeking a Path
Follow-up from THIS Thread
It was dark and wet, the lack of natural light and the way sound seemed to travel unnaturally through these passageways lent an eeriness to the setting. They were in the basement, not far from the Slytherin sleeping area, one of the coldest places in all of Hogwarts. Not that she minded, she liked to sleep in the cold. It was the relative isolation as well as the proximal nature of the dungeons that attracted Erin to these catacomb-like halls. The moist stone, covered with years of grime, these halls were not frequented by most. Her footsteps echoed, she liked the sound. It was like a heart beat reverberating, telling her that something down here was alive. That something being her.
She had spent hours exploring the seemingly endless series of corridors, marking them down on a handmade map. It was a rough approximation of the setting, not quite right but it was enough to manage. Each time she traveled she would refine what she wrote, removing the graphite markings on her piece of parchment and replacing them with something new.
She was looking for something very specific in her travels. A place far enough in the bowels of this school that she could take someone. Some place so far and so deep that nobody could hear them scream.
