The Aftermath of a Train Crash
The students came back in groups. Some returned with Thaddeus Athanatos, the stranger that had conveniently brought a huge car with enough space for a group of students to the place of the attack, some would come later, safely with the house elves or the headmaster. Opeila was among the first group and among those that were directly carried off to the hospital wing. The young second year's head was still bleeding, if talked to, she barely reacted at all and her hands and lips were blue and cold. She had taken off her warm coat to keep Vladimir alive...
Opeila didn't know where she was. Reality seemed to have merged with the cold horrors of the day, playing through her head over and over and over again. Her head pounded and her neck was sore as if she had caught a flu, which was not that unlikely. She had spent a while in the snow with nothing but a t-shirt. The memory was blurry in her head. Not like the spider attack where most details had been erased by pain, more like... like she had been under water the whole time. The noises difficult to determine, nothing clearly visible. Except... Gris. Where was she?
Groaning she turned her head in her hospital bed, pressing her eyes shut again when the light made her head hurt. After a few attempts Opeila could get her eyes used to the light and look around. There were other students in the beds, other injured children with bandages. Opeila could feel one around her head.
