The boy was a wreck, he looked disoriented and flush, like his fight or flight reaction had been triggered. Short breath, looking disoriented, too sweaty for winter. He took a deep breath after a while, and finally got out his name and handed over his... hand. Still shaking slightly, he said an incident gave him anxiety about the hospital wing. Just how traumatic was that one nurse guy? Or, perhaps it had been a traumatic injury. Either way, Kels had a job to do, now that he was being allowed to do it.
Looking at the wrist, it wasn't obvious how bad it was. The best he could figure, the pain had to be pretty bad for him to go against everything in his brain that was asking him to flee. Retrieving his wand, Kels walked his chair backwards to get into the cabinets that housed all of his pre-made potions and balms. After a bit of hidden clinking of glass, he pulled out a large vial that had clearly already seen a good amount of use. Wheeling back over, Kels popped open the lid as the distinct smell of sunshine and milkweed filled the air between them.
"Thissis Butterfly Weed Balm, 'sgonna soothe the pain." He explained as he dabbed some on two fingers and applied it to the wrist gingerly. He waved his hand in a fanning motion over it afterwards. It was more for impatience than for actually helping. Thanks to magic, the effect should have been nearly immediately noticeably. "Now I'm gonna tap ya with my wand."
With a gentle bap, the wand barely nudged Henry's skin as he enunciated the word, "Ferula." With that, a splint formed around the arm, keeping it moving much.
"So I coulda given ya some nastier potion, but thissis what I prefer. Don't take that off fer two days an' you should be home free." Kels nodded, as if agreeing with himself. "Iffit still hurts tomorrow then come an' see me again. I'll take care of ya."
With that, the kid meandered off, still clearly nervous, but at least his pain would be gone. He'd probably be shocked the first time he met a kid who wasn't a nervous wreck.

Willow grew up within a family of healers, her grandmother Rowena specifically. It was her middle namesake to keep the strong family name. Ironically, also the name of the Ravenclaw founder which Willow found out later. Sometimes she wondered what it would be like to be in Ravenclaw with that name. But not today.
No, today she had a certain school nurse to talk to. As a person, like herself, that was drawn to healing, she thought that a hospital might feel less ominous than it did. Less scary and lonely. But after the common room explosion where she ended up spending the early morning bent over a bed waiting for her now boyfriend to wake up from being set on fire by her, then the Blossom Ball where Professor Lian hurried to stop her from bleeding out of the gaping wounds from vicious mosps, then at St. Mungo's where a certain boy had his leg broken over the summer, it didn't feel comforting or like a place where she felt like she could heal. Perhaps, armed with a backpack of goodies for a certain healer and a skip in her step, she would attempt to heal herself.
It still boggled her mind that those who grew up in the wizarding world really didn't know about plasters, the magic and joy they could bring. The young badger once held a little lecture in the courtyard about them, and watched as one of the boys tried to eat one. Something needed to change about them being deprived about this, and about the coldness of the hospital wing. If anyone were to try and take that battle on, it would be Willow.
Wrapped up in a red cloth would be a box of black tea leaves, caffeinated of course for the long days and nights. This wasn't just any tea though, they were tea stuffed tangerines called 'Tangerine Tuxedos'. It created an incredibly bright tea to really wake someone up. There was also a small tin of the Anderson Family Famous butter cookies. If she was going to criticize his workplace, she might as well do it with treats.
She entered the Hospital Wing with deeply furrowed brows and a determined plan. The badger confidently marched up to the desk where the new nurse dutifully was, gently placed down the tea and cookie package on the desk, and took a deep breath. "Mister Doctor Nurse Brumby sir, I need to talk to you about the state of this hospital... respectfully." A quick pause and gesture to the mysteriously wrapped package. "I also brought you tea and cookies." Her confidence faltered slightly at the end, voice falling to about half of the bold volume when remembering she still was in the Hospital Wing. Nevertheless, the famed firecracker recovered quickly, and had a fire raging in her eyes that her house was known for.

Most days early on in his new job, he spent his time getting into new habits. He had worked in the field long enough to know what to emulate, but this was the first time he was really the top dog. Not that he was worried about it, but he needed to be open to change. One structure didn't work for everyone, it was better to customize the work flow and adapt to fit. Kels was, after all, very adaptable. The important thing was knowing when to stand his ground.
When a student approached his desk and dropped things on it, he was snapped to attention by the attractive aromas of the apparent gifts. On of the things looked like a small orange, and the other was a mystery. That was, until he immediately opened it to look inside and saw cookies. She said something to him, but mostly what he heard was that the gifts were definitely for him, which made him gasp. He loved getting presents, especially when he wasn't expecting them.
"Thank you! Thankyouthankyouthankyou!" In .5 seconds, he had one of the cookies in his mouth and was chewing it. He didn't wait for his mouth to be clear to say, "Awesome!"
Once he finished chewing his cookie, he looked in the fruit to see the tea leaves inside. "What the heck? That's so cool?" He looked around swiftly for his Bunsen burner, turning it on to heat up some water that was inside. He had made tea on it earlier but that one had long gone cold. It would take a few minutes to get back up to temp, but he loved trying new things, he had to see what this tea tasted like. Once he did that, his attention was finally drawn back to the start of the conversation.
"So uh, wait, what did you say?"

Never had her gifts been so eagerly accepted by a staff member at Hogwarts. They might've been mildly interested, but never so outwardly excited about things. Her strong stance had faltered and her eyes widened at the enthusiasm. Not all staff members were stiff and intimidating? Wild. "U-Um, yeah of course. You're welcome." A small blush spread across her cheeks to match her hair as she realized how quick she had initially come in blazing without thinking about this being her first introduction to the nurse.
There was still time to salvage it. "It's a family recipe for the cookies, and my mom is a collector of cool teas. I thought this one was particularly neat." She gently lowered herself into the seat in front of his desk before continuing. For a moment he seemed really set on discovery the tea and took a second to glance around the room as he started to heat up. Her attention snapped back to him quickly when he addressed her again. "Oh! Yes, I'm Willow Anderson. I'm a second year Hufflepuff. I had some thoughts about the appearance of the hospital, and also about muggle plasters."
At the mention of the plasters she slung around a backpack to her lap and pulled out many colorful varieties of plasters. "I've been here a few times for various reasons, and it's always felt dreadfully cold and scary. There is nothing warm about this place. And even if everything is healed, wouldn't it be cool to still get a plaster? Like- Hooray you're healed! So I brought you some, since this hospital is clearly lacking in them." Her eyebrows were furrowed together, this was a very serious matter to her. "I had a few design ideas, if I may bring them to your attention." Her hands were resting within her bag, waiting for the encouragement to enlighten his life with how amazing this hospital could be.

After a few cookies got consumed one after the other, Kels wished he had a temperate cup of tea already. He would look almost sad, his mouth too full of half-masticated cookies to reply out loud as he nodded along to the fact that they were a family recipe and the neatness of the tea. There was nothing like freshly baked sweets. Continuing to chew, fighting through the dryness of his mouth, she continued to go on about the appearance of the hospital wing. Bring her gear front and center, she insinuated the place was cold and scary, then suggesting that everyone get a colorful plaster regardless of their malady. Kels' expression would only furrow more, disapprovingly chewing slower.
Still, he couldn't knock her for the attempt. He was a kid once, he knew how small the world seemed at that age. See a problem and fix it, see sadness and brighten it, it was a very Hufflepuff approach. The real world wasn't that simple though, and he didn't really like being put in the position to whip off the warm blanket of comfort and autonomy. Was he supposed to tell her about biochemical standards? How often they had to disinfect every inch of every surface? How there was a chain of command and standards to follow, that he was lucky he got enough personal freedom just to have a messy desk?
Finally clearing his mouth after a very uncomfortable silence, he fixed up a small black cast iron teapot with the tea and started pouring his beaker into it through the fragrant leaves sitting in the metal filter.
"Oh, yeah! Totes! I wanna see!" The smile returned.

For a moment she was worried that perhaps she had done something wrong so far. It seemed like Kelsey was finally taking time to swallow her words and not just the cookies he had so eagerly dove into. There was silence. Too much silence. Her smile grew awkward, more hopeful than anything. But it returned just as strong when he gave her permission.
"Amazing! Ok!" She pulled out a journal of hers that had a marked page that she quickly flipped to. It was full of scribbles, pictures cut out of magazines and taped onto the pages. It was obviously a point of pride as she pushed it towards Kelsey. "So, here's what I was thinking. We have color changing charms right? Unfortunately I found out after I used muggle dye to dye my hair, but you know. Stuff happens. So why not change the bed sheets to a patient's favorite color to make them feel happier? White can be so awful." Her voice grew a bit quieter. "Especially when it's covered in blood, but..." Her nose scrunched up in thought but shrugged it off. "And you know what I was thinking? We have so many artists so why not put murals on the wall? So many people stay up at night scared, but then they'd have something to look at! Oh! Oh! The curtains could also be color changed too!" She pointed at the picture of pink curtains taped to the page, just in case Kelsey needed to know about colored curtains. "Like the Great Hall, the hospital wing could be decorated with the seasons too! There are just... there's so many things!" She took a deep breath after finishing her long rant.
The pink haired joy-bringer looked up at him with bright eyes sparkling, thinking she was an absolute genius for coming up with all of these ideas. "So, what do ya think? Good ideas, huh?" Perhaps the young badger was a bit too cocky.

As a journal was plopped on his already messy desk, he saw it was far more elaborate than he even imagined. Wasn't she, like, just a little kid? Why was she creating design portfolios? It must have been a passion of hers, as he leaned forward on his elbows he flipped through a few pages with newfound interest. There was a lot, and she even pointed out a few of them verbally as he looked through, his eyes full of wonder and stomach full of cookies. This girl was dangerous, she could probably convince him to start an evil empire if she presented as nice as this. She talked a mile-a-minute like it was some kind of elevator pitch, pointing and emphasizing as she went. It was a bit overwhelming, even for him.
As she finished up, Kels looked up sheepishly, perhaps even with fear in his eyes. This was a lot, but he didn't exactly want to destroy her spirit. It was actually pretty smart, if not misguided. Once again, he realized he couldn't run away from the responsibility of telling her that absolutely none of this was going to happen. He didn't want to see it... that moment when her dreams were crushed. Maybe he could just lie to her? That wouldn't last for long, kids weren't that stupid...
"This is incredible..." He started, unsure, "But uh... totally impractical. Ya ever hear the phrase 'beard the lion in his den'?"
Kels scratched his his own unshaven scruff that he definitely needed to shave soon. He hemmed and hawed uncomfortably in his chair.
"Err, forget that. Y'know... follow yer passion an' such... but uh..." Clearing his throat, his sheepishly pushed the journal back. "Anyways I haven't got permission to do stuff like that. Paint walls 'an such. Hogwarts gots historic protection, an' I only got so many staff members... you should focus yer talent on some smaller stuff first!"
Finishing, he looked like he was pretty satisfied with his embarrassing excuse for an answer.

Her hopes rose as a swell in the ocean, he was interested! She was going to change Hogwarts for the better! All by herself- oh. Impractical. Her body visibly deflated in a response of her dreams of an aesthetically pleasing hospital wing quickly dashed. All she could muster was a shaking of her head. What does a beard have to do with a lion in his den? The nurse didn't provide a single bit of clarification about it either as he moved on. She noted it in her head as something to look up later, perhaps Sylvain would know. He was a super smart person that might know what that meant.
Her hands shyly pulled her journal closed and towards her chest, as if protecting it from the rejecting eyes of Kelsey. Even he didn't seem to confident about what he was saying, maybe that meant he could be convinced otherwise? Arguments started building up in her head until he mentioned not having permission to do any of this. Of course! It wasn't for lack of brilliant ideas, it was the fact that he couldn't do it! How silly of her!
A bright smile quickly returned to her face, a new plan in her head. "I should've known! You know what, I'll take this right up with Headmaster Lear! If I get permission, then there's no reason we can't spruce this place up, right? Thank you Doctor Nurse Brumby sir. I won't let you down!" Clearly missing the point, but confident nonetheless she headed out with a confident bounce in her step.Willow has exited the thread.
Perhaps too confidently.

She didn't exactly seem to grasp what he had been talking about, but honestly that was fine by him. He actually sighed in relief-- he was sure he was about to get yelled at by a child, and that wasn't cool. His big smile returned as she seemed invigorated to take the concern of hers up the chain. That worked perfectly well with him, it almost seemed like she hadn't listened to a word he said! All for the better, she could go beard the Lear lion. For all he knew it would actually work. It wasn't like he was against making the hospital a bit more friendly-looking. Headmaster Lear probably had other things to deal with, but he was a Puff too, wasn't he? Maybe deep down he would agree with the bright ball of badger.
"Yeah, you go, girl!" He'd stick another biscuit in his mouth as he waved goodbye. All this tea and sweets and he didn't even have to do anything for it. More days needed to be like this one. "Woo!"
With her gone though, the hospital returned to its dreary silence. She had a point, as unrealistic as it might have been. Sick people weren't always the most vibrant of people, the wing could feel a bit depressing at times. He was rooting for her.

OOCReducioHello, I hope you are doing well. How are you?
GreetingsTristan Theramin strode forward, his face a mask, portraying a cold prince, unfeeling, uncaring. He was a Slytherin pureblood after all. His destination was, however, the hospital wing. Though he had no physical ailments, the hospital wing was the aim of his walking.
Though his outward appearance was of serenity and control, there was a turmoil inside of him. His hands, though controlled to the point of invisibility, were shaking and his stomach was tight and uncomfortable. It was some sort of emotional pain, bubbling over after two long years of control, his limit had been reached. He walked forward into the hospital wing, step after step, silent and taut. He blinked and there were tears in his eyes. No.. stop Tristan. Caring is not an advantage The tears stopped. He kept walking closer and closer to the desk of Barnaby. Closer and closer.
Tristan calmed himself and thought “Caring is not an advantage”, accidentally saying it out loud. That was enough to show the strange state he was in, after all he was always in control of every movement and word and facial expression he portrayed.
Tristan Theramin coldly said, “A word, Mr.Brumby”
His voice trembled slightly, the cold prince was no more.
Tristan berated himself in his head and then pulled himself together, his entire demeanor changing. He stood tall and proud, and perked his lips. For no one could see him weak or else his advantage was lost. After all, no one actually likes him after all.
