Piérre was a lucky lad. Lucky in the sense, that his confessions to the crime had gone unheard by the Gryffindor prefect. A conveniently timed belch, from beyond a curtain near her, would cover the apologies of the Elf boy. If even the tiniest slip-up had been heard, it would have send the currently temperamental metamorph, reeling. No one hurt her cat- it was just something you didn't do. And it didn't matter if he was accidentally, or purposely hurt; someone was going to become victim of the child wrath. Schrödinger and his mistress, were an inseparable duo. The Gryffindor had the feline ever since he was a wee kitten. She was willing to die for the damn thing.

Heads were going to roll. Piérres head to be specific- if he were to admit to being the creator of the bomb, once again. But for now, she needed to focus on her cat, and make sure the miserable lump of flesh was comfortable. Unfortunately that was a nearly impossible task, due to the shouting from another student. It sounded like someone was trying to fight off one of the two adults, that were in the room. The prefect pulled her curtain back slightly, peeping out from behind the rough fabric. What she saw, was truly a sight to behold. It was almost funny, in a twisted sort of way. This had to have been a bad joke, or something.

The more she stared, the more she realized how familiar the people in the scene were. She knew both of the boys from somewhere- more so the one that resembled a gremlin. But where? She almost knew it, but her thoughts were interrupted by someone calling out to her, and her companion. She flinched at the sound of the voice. She could identify the mild mannered tone- she was quite good with identifying voices, and sounds. The voice could only belong to Pericles Dralt, the little Ravenclaw that she had met in the library only a few months ago. She hadn't know him for very long, and really had no intention of meeting him again after the brief interaction.

She didn't want to see him. She didn't want him to see her. A hospital was a place of weakness, and quite frankly she was too proud to even admit to being here. "Yes it- I mean. No. No, its not." She corrected herself firmly. She bit her lip, as an expression of awkwardness began to creep across her face. Well this was mildy embarrassing. She hoped that Pericles was either suddenly stupid, or just didn't care enough to ask any further questions. She sat there for a moment, in silence, before resuming to comfort her cat. She gave him a firm pat on his back, which only caused him to cough, and blow snot bubbles from his nose. Ah. Gross.

No matter how hard she tried to advert her attention from the fuss in the wing, she couldn't help but continue to watch everything unfold. Something just wasn't right about the whole thing- and it wasn't the fact that one child was trying to eat anything and everything, or the doppelganger of the school nurse. It was the nurse that just wasn't right. She was wary of him, and found him rather off-putting. Meenauh, had told the metamorph about her conversation with the twin. Maybe that was the reason why something about him just didn't sit right with her. Heck, maybe she was being paranoid- but she did wonder about what he did with the people that he couldn't help get better- the people he couldn't fix. She just...wondered.

Considering the fact that Galton has forgotten how to move (post) in his maddened state, the drooling lunatic once free of his icy confines would face plant onto the floor. Apparently... Probably... unconscious. The Auror would look down at the back of the child's head and mutter out-loud "well, that was anti-climatic..." He made no move to help the child that laid there motionless. He cleared his throat, "well, right then!" There was a tone of awkwardness, but the well-dressed Auror gave the nurse a smile before stating the obvious. "You look a lot like me on a bad day," a truth considering the casual attire Fin was wearing as well as his unshaven face and hair finger combed away from his forehead.

He thrust his hand into his pocket and retrieved the sweet Galton had given him before he had shoved a handful of them into his own mouth. "He had eaten several sweets at once after gifting me this," August explained. He did not have time for a private conversation. "His obsession with candy, something that was believed to be ID based, merely impulse control and delusions of grandeur, might have a common thread with reality," he frowned. "Which is something I fear," her admitted. "I need someone to look into this, what it might be. What it might mean. I need a potionieer."

A clear statement of desire - he was looking for answers to a mystery that had dragged him back to Hogwarts.

There was an expression of annoyance, of exasperation on Fin's face as August minimized this moment between them. Yes, he looked a lot like him because they were "...brothers" he interjected, ignoring the insult at the end of his sibling's statement.

August, apparently unfussed by what should have been a dramatic or at least a surprising reunion went on to discuss Galton's behavior, his presumptions and his hypothesis. "Seriously?" The male nurse snapped at the auror. "That is all?" His incredulous tone attempted to cover over the fact that he felt seriously wounded by August's indifference.

August pulled out a piece of candy, having the audacity to ask the man for a favor. Finny slapped the confectionery away, the cellophane wrapped nugget of pure sugar bounced as it tapped across the floor away from them and towards the hospital beds. It would roll beneath @Pericles Dralt's cot. "I waited my entire adult life," longer than that really "to be noticed." He clenched his jaw and gave his brother a long look. He did not want to say it out loud, he never intended to but the accusation just came out. "You could not even find five minutes to find me when you were here a year and a half ago," there was no way the Auror overlooked a name like VanCleaf and saw it as a coincidence. He tried to stand out. He tried to be noticed. For his name to be known. To no avail of course. "Yet you still had the audacity to ask me for a favor even then!" He was shouting, he did not even seem to notice the possibly gawking students in the shared room.

"Merlin what is wrong with you! Take," he was fishing something out of his own pocket. A holly wand that he threw across the room. It would bounce off Xailah's mattress and land on the floor nearby. "It and leave!"

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

Galton was ...dead? Merlin Galton froze to death on his way over here! He went from making mad declarations to complete and total silence. The Gryffindor had expected his friend to break free and try to eat something weird again. Not that he wanted that to happen but anything was better... better than this. Jurgen would rush to his ailing friends side and shake him vigorously while the adults argued. They were like weird, identical lovers in some sort of martial spat. One was pretty passionate, the other was completely disengaged -- he could tell which one the wife was in the relationship.

"Dude. Galton! Dude!" Jurgen tried to wake his friend who forgot to post move once he was set free. his site was getting blurry, it was absolutely allergies, he was too manly to cry. "Wake up man!" His hands clamped onto his shirt and he vigorously shook Galton back and forth with his mighty power.

The candy Galton had gifted this man before the weirdness turned into something even worse had been thrown away. Jurgen cringed a bit, it was getting heated between them. This might be his only chance. If Galton was not going to save himself, Jurgen was going to save the sweet-toothed idiot. With the power of anime, perpetual protagonism and his dashing good looks he would attempt to drag, he knew full well he could not lift the sugar addict reliably but he could drag him probably. "I will save you buddy..." a promise made.

Attempting to drag Galton out of the thread to safety!

The second that he was told to hide anything edible, Piérre had hidden under his blankets, ignoring the fear that had begun to rise alongside nausea. He didn't know if he had anything edible on him, per say, but he supposed it would have been better to be safe than sorry, and so he took the necessary precautions to avoid any possible bodily harm. This was soon reaffirmed as @Galton Lansdale began to cry out about some sort of candy feast. Normally Piérre would have been excited to partake, but since he could practically see the madness which was in the eyes of the young Gryffindor.

Thus, when more talking, after a bout of silence went through, Piérre tentatively peeked out of the sheets, turning to Peri, whom Piérre had accidentally ignored up to that point. His pale face flushed red in a touch of shame.

"Yeah..." He admitted softly to the Ravenclaw. "I was just so pumped about actually contributing to my house, I thought I should celebrate somehow..." Piérre winced as he looked at the victims of his splurge. "But I only ended up making everyone else upset. I'm sorry Peri." The young boy could feel tears pricking in the corners of his eyes, shameful tears that seemed to speak of so much regret. Piérre wished that he could dissolve in the sights of others, and forget that everything up to this point had been his fault. He had, fortunately, been able to manage a small grin when Peri complimented him on his slightly improvised design, and he had nodded with the Ravenclaw boy as far as keeping his achievements to himself; after all, Piérre had no clue as to whom he had afflicted with the toxic gas.

When Piérre finally pulled himself together enough to actually look around again, having heard a sneeze from Schrodinger. Good thing he had kept his trap shut, for Piérre spotted Xailah and her cat on a nearby bed. The boy's eyebrows creased even more. Not only had he harmed students and people in his little prank, but he had also hurt one of those students' cats! If that didn't sing of guilt, then Piérre didn't know what did.

Part of him wanted to pipe up and apologize, but having heard the quiet threats that Xailah had vowed against the person who was responsible, namely Piérre himself, the Britalian's lips were sealed. Perhaps at a better time would be good to apologize.

No sooner had Piérre realized that that he remembered his own kitten, whom he had left behind in his common room, having brought the poor thing just minutes before he had went off to celebrate. This brought a new bout of bright red to his cheeks. 'Poor Figgy...' he thought, curling up in a ball, 'I'm the worst brother... EVER, leaving him alone and scared in my room...'

In the midst of his self-pitying, Piérre glanced over the tops of his sheets, at the two brothers who were bickering almost like Piérre and Romeo would. One had asked the other for help, having explained Galton's misfortune, and the other had blown his top, more than a little angry that he felt underappreciated. Piérre, while he had never truly felt the feeling of being ground under his own twin's heel, could somewhat sympathize. He had never been as intelligent as his brother or anywhere near as good a role model as he should have been.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to console the nurse, the nurse, with and angry exclamation, withdrew from his pocket a length of wood, a wand, and threw it away from him. Piérre's wide green eyes watched the polished wood bounce off the covers of Xailah's bed and clatter to the floor nearby. Piérre could have cared less about the toxic candy that had come to Peri's bedside, the young Britalian's gaze was purely focused on the shining wood.

'Potter's wand was not found!'

A thrill of adventure pulsed through Piérre's veins as he ignored the fact that the other frozen boy that had come in with Galton was crouched on the floor, trying to help the candy-coma-afflicted child, and instead quietly threw off his covers, trying his best to subdue the desire to jump off the bed towards it and instead quietly placed his feet on the ground and crept like a mouse towards the wand. This was important! He needed it to help the Liberation group! And he needed to get there before anyone noticed his movement or absence.

The second anyone noticed him going for the wand, Piérre would make a break for it, attempting to scoop up the wand in his right hand and hold it close to his chest, left hand on his wand in case of confrontation. He knew that he was likely no match for adult wizards and practiced dualists, but it was better to make a distraction than to roll over. Who knew, maybe he could silver-tongue his way out of the situation.

If he wasn't noticed in the events happening, Piérre would quietly slip the wand into his pocket, beside his yew wand, and then quietly return to his bed and sit on its edge, attempting to appear inconspicuous as if he was just attempting to stand.

Piérre attempts to stealthily creep towards the fallen wand:
If noticed, Piérre will snatch the wand and then put a hand on his own wand
If unnoticed, Piérre will hide the wand and then sneak back to his cot as if he had never left it

"Perhaps try celebrating with a cake next time. The house elves are accommodating if you're polite." But then the culprit apologized again, and when he saw those tears welling up, the Ravenclaw was struck with a pang of sympathy. "It'll be alright, Piérre," Pericles pressed gently, "really it will." His voice remained a hushed whisper, rising only enough to express an empathetic tune, trying to keep the conversation between himself and the next bunk over. "This will pass. It was one silly thing, which I know you won't do again, and I believe you when you say you didn't mean any harm." As much as he wished to maintain some semblance of peace in the recovery room, Peri- who was especially attached to that cat- would have understood Xailah's desire for vengeance. It was hard to turn one's eye when a loved one was harmed. He called out to that distinctive voice (and recognizable Woaw), perked and peered at the curtain come the confirmation, but blinked back an expression of surprise for what followed. Peri's perception was better suited for puzzles and mysteries. The inner-workings of his peers often eluded him, though that wasn't to say he was a little machine. A flicker of worry wove through his thoughts. Why would the lioness hide from him...? The same soft tune carried through the curtain as the fledgling eagle assured, "Well... if it were them, I would hope they're alright." He tried to discard his confusion, to stay focused on what was unfolding.

August explained the cause for the Gryffindor's candy-craze, something Pericles cataloged for later, now eyeing that candy with an amalgamation of wonder and wariness. But somehow, the nurse had been set off, and the outburst caused the lad to look away. He had an aversion to certain brands of conflict, one which encompassed adults arguing. It was such a foreign spectacle. His parents never fought, so seeing school staff argue with a government official wasn't much easier to tolerate. However, while Peri's stare averted awkwardly down to the ground, his ears remained open. The boy's eyes dulled in a way which may imply he was tuning out, but what was really going on behind that freckled face was anyone's guess. The sweet skittered into sight.

Pericles fished his spectacles from a coat pocket, but after a particularly turbulent bout of coughing, the things slipped from his hand and clattered to the floor. He wasn't about to interrupt the quarreling brothers for help, so he summoned his strength and swung his legs over the edge of the bed, shakily sinking to the floor. His thumb swept over a crack in the lens. Though the boy tutted in disappointment, he supposed it would be the perfect excuse to practice the mending spell. He crammed the spectacles and the misplaced candy back into his robes. That ought to have been the end of it. He could leave: say he wanted the sentimental comforts of his own dorm, that he was well enough to make the trip, that the arguing had frightened his "delicate sensibilities" and caused him to "anxiously skitter out". While Finnlay wouldn't oblige the renown auror, he had access to a truly skilled potioneer right here on school grounds.

It was a quick clean strategy. But the boy wasn't an auror himself, he was a boy, and he couldn't shake lingering wonders and worries. A last uneasy frown in Supposedly Not Xailah's direction convinced him to stay. The clashing brothers were suspects on his Liberation list, and he wasn't about to leave someone he considered a friend alone with them. Just before he could climb back into bed, Piérre was leaving his. He saw the wand, had nearly thought to take cover in case sparks flew, saw it sail through the air.... Peri's pale hand darted out, trying to catch the boy as he went by. He didn't utter a sound, but his stare was uncharacteristically, unflinchingly stern. Had he known the other student would have gone so far as to fight, he would have tried harder to stop him, but with any luck a grab and look would work.
Summary
Trying to comfort and quiet Piérre, worrying about Xailah and Schrödinger, surveying the VanCleafs, dropping his glasses and getting out of bed to retrieve them and the candy, trying to stop Piérre from crossing the infirmary during the argument, and returning to bed.

Pericles concern for the little metamorph- be it genuine or not, was enough to draw a confused expression to her face. The whole situation- the sick cat, the two crazy students, the bickering, it was all very overwhelming for the child. And at this point all she wanted to do was let some of those bottled emotions out. The lioness let out a tired little groan, which was followed by an distracted, inaudible thanks- it was no louder than a whisper. She watched with a glossy-eyed glare, as one of the scrawny Gryffindor boys that had been brought in, tried to pull his delusional friend out of the room while the arguing commenced.

This was a first. Never in her thirteen years of existing, had Xailah actually witnessed two grown adults engage in such a heated verbal dispute. It was an odd thing for a child to never see, but somehow she seemed to avoid the verbal fights between "grown ups". Her parents never fought- not in front of her anyways- and even if they did, the disputes were usually very non-aggressive; so this was a rather scary thing to witness, to say the least. She couldn't help but flinch when she saw the little laced candy go flying over, to Pericles side of the room. This was very different from how children fought, here the rising tension could be felt, here one knew that deep down somebody was going to get hurt. You just didn't know who though.

The prefect would finally realize why she did not like the nurse. Why she did not feel safe around him. He was crazy- disturbingly so. And crazy, was something that she was all too familiar with. This man payed no heed to the fact that he was in a room full of children- children the he was supposed to be caring for. He did not care. That made him dangerous. There was one thing he evidently did care about though, and that was attention. The need to be noticed. He was getting noticed alright, because as soon as that wand left his open hand, the Gryffindors eyes were locked onto him.

Xailah was on the ground before that polished splinter of wood, even hit the stone. She was a creature of impulse, and she liked to take things. If she saw something that she wanted, she was going to take it. The relevance of the wand hardly mattered to her, but she understood that she needed to get it before the Auror did. She understood that she did not want him to have it. Schrödinger would be left on the cot by himself, as his mistress proceeded to scuttle across the dirtied tile on all fours, her primitive mind taking the reigns in that moment. It was right there. It was too perfect.

She would come to a halt, but only for a mere second, as she caught some movement out of the corner of her eye. Piérre. God, it seemed like this kid was literally everywhere. She couldn't get a break. Why, was he coming across the room in the middle of an argument, that looked as if it was about to get violent? It would appear that whoever was in the cot next to him- Pericles, presumably, was thinking the same thing. She would watch a small, pale hand dart out to grab her fellow Gryffindor. Her own dainty, gloved hand rested on the wand, ready to pluck it from the ground. Whoever was to confront her first- if anyone was to confront her, would be met with a low, hostile growl. A warning. She wasn't going to make it easy for anyone to take that wand. There were a lot of ways this could go badly. Someone was going to get hurt.

He had screamed, he had shouted, he had called out for his true love, and then it went black. Much like the last time he was assaulted in his candy kingdom, the world went dark. His sweets-filled existence was over. There was nothing to look at, or smell, just the dark, sugarless void. The perfect day, one you wait your life for, all ruined by them. Those and them, they took his true love and replaced it with murderous gingerbread people, just like last time. A shame. Being king was fun.

The dark slowly began tho shake, and slither. Like a slug leaving a corn syrup trail, Galton the Glorious's head slowly drifted forward. Until his eyes opened to realty. It was bright, and loud. But, it ambrosial. He could just smell the sugar pouring out of every crevice and corner in the room.He was back to room filled with delicious smelling gingerbread. This wouldn't end like the last time, he had someone waiting for him.

He watched the figures in their blurry state, a large one yelling at another large one. It even went so far as to throw things. They looked good. And Galton was growing oh so hungry. Hunger would soon fill his mind if he wasn't careful, and push the thoughts of his sweet prince out. He shook awake, trying to free himself from whoever bound him. The voice sounded familiar, like one of his courtiers, or advisers, but he wasn't sure. "Please! Rid your hands!" He shouted as he stood.

Standing, the world was a new kind of chaos. The sweet, sweet, little ginger children scurried and fumbled, where to? Were they playing a game, or were they hunting for the delicious treats thrown by their larger look-alike? It made no matter. They had a pungent, biting sweetness that Galton's nose would be hard-pressed to ignore. He would find them, and he would has fill.

A step forward towards the epicenter and his nose bit on something even sweater, with a wiggle and a waggle. There were buckets of corn syrup, or maple syrup, or maybe it was sugar water, might have even been all of them mixed together, everywhere. Prime basting for his soon to be snacks.

His mouth watered, his tongue crept out of his mouth, a eye twitch as he licked his lips in anticipation. He would pick one of the full buckets up and arc its content up, letting the sweet (totally not acidic) liquid rain down on those headed for the wand (Xailah's bed area roughly). Let the second feast begin.

Thank you for trying to save me.

Yeah buddy, let's get out of here.

That is what Jürgen expected but that was not what he got. Like a distraction. Like a peasant in the presence of a lord, Galton ordered Jürgen to remove his hands. Had Jürgen been the aggressive type, he would have re-rendered Galton unconscious so that he could be taken away quietly. Alas, Jürgen was a foolish boy and he was unprepared for Galton's reaction.

He was not chewing on nonsense this time as he rushed a pair of Gryffindors. He did not expect Galton to do what he did next...

"Gross Galton!" Jürgen cried, capable of alliteration apparently as he saw the mad 'king' lift the emesis basin and attempt to rain down the vile contents onto Xailah and Pierre. Jürgen held his hands over his face, partially covering his eyes in horror. It was one of those scenes, like a NASCAR crash where you tried to cover your eyes, avert your gaze but you could not pull your eyes from the carnage. There was no stopping him, Jürgen was near the door standing there slack-jawed and useless.

The attack was on mark, the barf bucket was filled to almost the brim with the most foul mixture of partially digested food and stomach acid. The pungent scent should have been enough to send Galton away but he was maddened with his delusions of grandeur. The bucket would cover the two of them as they hurried to grasp the wand, not only covering the duo with vomit but it got into their mouth and eyes. The floor slick under them, they would find as their palms met the floor that they would try to slide out from under them.

Partially blinded, Xailah suffered more than Pierre [-3 to grab attempt from crit] she would attempt to possess what was presumed to be Potter's rod of power. This chaos, the mad dash, the vile fluid that sloshed over them. It was enough to draw the attention of the bickering brothers. They would both view the pitiful scene - Galton the glutinous Gryffindor and the disgusting duo.

His eyes widened as his brother brandished his wand. No, it was not an impromptu duel fueled by passion, he flung the wand away. "Are you insane!" He hissed. He would not notice Pericles Dralt leaving his cot and retrieving the small candy that bounded beneath his bed and tried to roll away. The wand bounced off the floor once and then recklessly skid across the floor.

There was a mad dash for the wand, his eyes never left the wand so he would not miss it. How Xailah and Piérre dove for it. He did not care, but it did not escape his notice when Galton rose from his premature slumber. That is until he too was drawn to the wand that had garnered so much attention. When the bucket of vomit was poured over their heads, it left the duo messy, partially blinded and soggy. They both vied for the same wand, the girl won. August would draw his wand from his pocket and point it at...

Finlay VanCleaf

He would level his wand at the nurse. With a glower he would mutter, "you should not have done that Finny-boy." There was no sorrow, just a stern gaze. The children in this hospital room would be witnesses to more than a brotherly spat it would seem. A wand  that might be significant on the floor. "Come with me quietly and..." the rest of the threat would remain unspoken but it was likely along the lines of nobody/you will get hurt
