Truth or Dare Group 6
12th August 2021
For some bizarre reason, it was decided that there would be an official day of several games of 'Truth or Dare' taking place throughout the day for students to partake in. Well, not just students but most of the adults did not seem to sign up. Either way, there was an official school-wide event for the day. Those who were keen to take part were told to meet at the grounds when they were ready to play.
Each player was also given a t-shirt in their favourite colour with their name on the back in embroidery. The front had a small symbol on the top left side of their cabin animal, a simple outline of the animal in one colour. It was easy enough to do when professors had their favourite colours in advance from the original registration list when they were signing up for cabins. If they didn't pick a colour at that time, they would be given a grey one. They were welcome to also write on the t-shirt and add more if they wished to but the embroidery had a handmade feel to it already, so some might not want to 'ruin' it. At this point, it was personal preference. The size was 'magicked' to the correct size for them. They were encouraged to wear the t-shirt on the Truth or Dare day, in order to take part.
It was a nice bright sunny day. There were plenty of blankets, bean bags, logs or cushions around that students could arrange as they wanted and sit on if they so desired. There were a few large cooler boxes dotted around that had a selection of different drinks. Non-alcoholic, of course. Bottles of water, juice or other soft drinks like fizzy drinks stocked the boxes. There were also some picnic baskets that contained snacks that they could pick up and take with them. Things like packets of crisps, biscuits, chocolates and candy. Anything wrapped or easy to take with them. Food was not what people were here for, though - but let's be honest, it was a priority, at least in Jensen's eyes.

But for most people, it was the game that mattered most. Students arrived at the grounds, ready to play. They would find themselves with a group of others. There was a large gold goblet propped up on a tablet. It had a purple flame over it, though if touched, it would feel cool and nothing would set on fire. Next to it, there were stacks of paper and quills with ink to write down their name.
Those who wished to take part had to sign their name - and whether they chose a truth or a dare - onto the paper and put it into the goblet. In return, they would be given a name for someone else who had signed up - as well as that person's choice. Whatever name they received, their task was to give that person a 'truth' or 'dare', as they wanted. This was made easier by the fact that everyone - well, those who actually listened - was wearing a handmade t-shirt with their names on it. They were also, of course, expected to fulfil any truths or dares given to them by others in the group.
(And no, this is not the same goblet as in the Triwizard Tournament. I just liked those gifs).
Students were not forced to do any of the truths or dares. They could ignore it if they wanted and not do it if they didn't want to. There were no consequences. Except for the lack of bragging rights. Of course, all usual school rules applied and students were asked not to propose any 'truths' or 'dares' that encouraged breaking that. There was also a sign that said "consent is cool, people" as a reminder.
How This Game Works:
1. Just to make it easier to moderate, I have randomly assigned sign-ups to smaller groups. This is your group. IC, you can see what's happening in the other threads (as it's all happening at the same time around the same place) but OOC, you'll get allocated people within your groups only for ease.
Note: You can mention reacting to seeing others in their groups. However, if you mention specific individuals then please acquire OOC consent to mention them first. If you do not have OOC consent, please don't metagame/godmod seeing them. (Assume you cannot see them if they haven't given you consent).
2. Your group is at the bottom of this post. You will receive your first allocation in a couple of days.
3. Week 1 - Please roleplay posing a truth or dare to this assigned person, based on their choice. You will have one week to do this.
4. If you do not receive truth or dare by the deadline, message me and I'll give you a random one (most likely from Google =p)
5. Week 2 - everyone (including you) will RP out the choices out.
6. In your Week 2 post, please remember to pick a 'Truth' or 'Dare' if you wish to get a new one. If you don't specify clearly (in an 'action') then I will probably just assume you want the same as whatever you signed up with.
This will then just repeat so that you get new assignments and a second victim. If you don't post within either the posing dares/truths or RP stage, we will remove you from the next assignments.
And no, I don't care about IC rules (despite what the text says). You can propose dares that break IC rules if you wish to and if that's what your character would do (IC, Jensen will ask that you don't but you can ignore that and do it - though, you may get in trouble for posing it too).IMPORTANT:
Remember, we have site ratings and rules. All dares/truths need to follow those. Remember your character's age, the site rating and rules. Make sure you have OOC consent for things. Every truth or dare you propose must follow site ratings and OOC rules. Don't be a OOC jerk, essentially.

Rett couldn't help but be excited by the idea of Truth or Dare, especially if he got someone that wanted a dare. Someone worthy of the things the young writer could come up with. Truths were always a cop out, a weaklings way out of the real fun of Truth or Dare. Though, he would never say that out loud. To shame people to their faces was deplorable, which is something his mom taught him. Gossip happened behind closed doors and whispered under sips of tea. It was something he was taught to perfect, maybe not a great skill for a young wizard to have. But one nonetheless.
Upon arrival to the grounds he scoped out the area, seeing places to sit but also containers of food which was just as exciting. He grabbed himself a fizzy orange drink as well as a packet of plain crisps and a bag of candy. He was a growing boy, he needed to keep himself sustained. Once he took a place on a bean bag he took the time to examine the shirt he was given upon arrival. He grinned proudly at his name written on the back, but when he turned it around frowned slightly at the unicorn. He didn't have anything against unicorns, but how cool would a crimson shirt with a dragon on it be? He shrugged off the ungrateful feelings and slid it over his current shirt, making sure the collar of it was sticking out properly. He popped open his fizzy drink and waited for more people to arrive for the festivities to begin.

Serena was super excited to play truth or dare. It was not a game that she had played a lot of before but it was kind of funny, from what she knew about it. A silly little game for fun things to happen, right? At least, that was her opinion of it. She was donning a yellow t-shirt with a kelpie embroidered on the front pocket and her name on the back. For the purpose of making it easier for people to read her t-shirt, she scooped her hair to the side so it flowed over her shoulder instead and left her back mostly exposed. A brown rat sat on her other shoulder. She would have tied it up but Arjan was around and exposing her slightly pointed ears was never something she was comfortable doing.
After all, she had to hide that as best as she could, right? Putting her name into the goblet, with a 'truth' - as she very much was hesitant to do a dare. She received a piece of paper that claimed one 'Klara Vasilieva' was to be given a truth. She did not know this Klara but hopefully, she was wearing a t-shirt or something. Serena pondered what truth she could ask this random person she did not know.
"Hey, are you playing too?" She asked as she spotted a boy she did not recognise, "Who did you get?" She would continue, if he say 'yes' to the first question. "Oh! I'm Serena, by the way. Serena Towers, I go to Hogwarts," She would suddenly add, as though remember to introduce herself several seconds later before pausing. Wait, maybe she did not need to introduce herself now... Maybe her t-shirt did it for her? Oh wells, too late.
Either way, all she knew was that he was not the Klara she was looking for but she figured she would make some conversation whilst she tried to spot them.

Admittedly, Aurora had never done anything like this with her best friend, let alone strangers. Just like every club she was in, the Ravenclaw just sign her name up to every activity just because she could. Say goodbye to the shy, grumpy, and anti social girl that she was before coming to Hogwarts. To be fair, the first two might be a little hard to remove from her trait list. It was not rare for her to sometimes overdressed on any occasion. Not that she wanted to impress anyone, it was just the way she liked at that moment. With a beige coloured long sleeve, a transparent tank top on the outside, black and pink cargo pants plus a hot pink shoe, Aurora walked to the area with her also dressed up a furball on her arm.
Two people arrived beforehand. Both seemed older, and one of them was someone from the unicorn cabin as well. Though, she was not completely sure if this Lydia person was present there. Slowly approached her group, “H-hi, is it okay if I sit here?” She would then sit beside the girl if allowed. “I’m Hogwarts.” No, that did not sound right, “I meant I am from Hogwarts, and Aurora Ranvier is my name.” Putting her cat on the ground and let him rolling and running around, or just do what cats do, “And this is Lucifur, a family.” The feeling of nervousness started to kick in. Her regrets on taking a dare instead of truth were astronomical, hopefully, she wouldn’t have to do anything that possibly will put her pride in a trash can.

Lucifur will just running around the place, will happily accept belly rubs. He's wearing mini hogwarts uniform with a ravenclaw tie, but i'm lazy to draw it.

Interacting with: @Serena Towers & Everett Brooks @Willow Anderson & @Aurora RanvierIt was a bit weird but amazing that they had a day dedicated to something a silly as truth or dare. While the game itself wasn't really silly, no, it was serious business; it still seemed silly that they were to have school-sanctioned games of it. True, it was very much a camp thing, but still.
Glen was absolutely going for a dare. Truths were the boring option – unless you knew someone well enough to ask an uncomfortable or hilarious question. But asking some random stranger a truth was... eh. Sure, one could gain some fascinating insights in people, but really. It wasn't much use if one random truth was the only thing you knew about a person. - It also meant you couldn't tell if they lied and it wasn't like they were playing with Veritaserum, so in his mind that defeated the purpose of the game just a bit.
Yeah, dares were definitely the potentially more interesting option. That is, unless you got a dare like running three laps around the camp or something. (Most dares had been extremely unimaginative back when they played the game at birthday parties during primary school. And some people had been weirdly intent about asking truths about 'crushes' even back then. Weirdos. He didn't even get the point of that now let alone five to seven years ago.)
Looking around, Glen spotted a familiar face. After grabbing his slip of paper – which told him to dare a Kage Suzuki – he walked over to Serena to say hi. Hearing a younger girl [Aurora] introduce herself to Serena and the boy she was talking to, Glen had a moment of Yes, it's not just me! as she initially introduced herself as Hogwarts.
“Hey Serena! Hi everyone.” He greeted the small group. “Mind if I join you? I'm Glen Pope.” If they would be okay with it, he would then ask the others “Are you all joining the game, too? What did you pick?”
He hoped he would be able to spot the kid whose name he got, or that they would spot him but despite taking another look around the area, he did not see them yet.

Bloom was nervous, but excited to be playing a popular game such as "Truth or Dare". It was a game that she remembered her sister telling her to always do truth. You never knew what kind of people you were playing with and if their dare's were appropriate. At least with truth, you can be honest and share information that you want.
Walking into the group, she saw that there were some familiar faces. The first one that caught her attention was the ever so small Serena Towers. She walked up to the goblin and smiled at her. "Sorry to interrupt. Just wanted to say hi! I haven't seen you in ages!" she said, feeling good to really know someone.
Bloom looked around and saw some other faces and waved at everyone. "Hi all, I'm Bloom Silverton. I'm a fifth year at Hogwarts," she said, introducing herself with a smile. It seemed that after her mini-event with another student right before leaving Hogwarts really got her back to where she needed to be: she was Bloom Silverton again. A happy go-lucky, outgoing and friendly person.
She looked over to an older student who introduced themselves as Glen. Bloom had never met them before and yet they were the same age as her. "I picked truth. I learned it's the way to go if you want to win," Bloom paused and looked up in question. "Wait, is this a win or lose kind of game?" she asked, laughing at not really knowing the endgame to the game. "What did you pick, Glen?" she asked.

T O P Orange T-Shirt provided for the game
Ruka was not normally one for group activities, but if he was already partaking in Summer Camp what was the harm in actually joining the events that were planned for them? Even if said events were something as ridiculously silly as Truth or Dare. Not that Ruka had ever played, but he had seen movies, read books, and the game almost always seemed to be the start of some kind of teen drama, one way or another. Still, stories liked to exaggerate so maybe this experience could actually be one of the nicer sort. Help him meet more new people as well instead of sticking to his comfort zone at all times.
In that spirit, Ruka should have been ecstatic to realise that he knew absolutely nobody of the people that had arrived at the game location so far, but instead he could feel himself tensing up, eyes wide as he approached the small gathering. He was grateful to have his owl perched on his shoulder; At least she was familiar company, and her soft feathers pressed against his cheek gave him some comfort.
The T-Shirt he had been given to wear made him feel a little more at ease as well; The orange colour was beautifully vibrant, and the greenish-blackish Augurey on the front shimmered in a nice contrast to it. His embroidered name on the back was neatly done, too and Ruka very much hoped they'd be allowed to keep their T-Shirts after the game.
"Heya," he decided to say to the group as he approached, reached up to awkwardly ruffle his own hair. As nice as the T-Shirt was, he wished he had one of his hoodies to hide in. Fuwafuwa gave off a delighted hoot before she started nibbling on his ear. Ruka decided to let her as he gazed across the gathered people, a small smile curling the corners of his lips upwards. "Everyone here for the game?" If not he must have followed some very wrong directions. At least it was a conversation starter, even if it seemed like he had arrived in the middle of an ongoing one already.

"Oh! Hey, I'm Serena!" She introduced herself to Aurora, smiling at her and ignoring the mistake that was made. It was easy enough to do, to be honest. Like when you accidentally called your professor 'mum' or 'dad' instead of 'professor' or introduced your pet as yourself and you as your pet's name! Wait - people did those things, right? Oh wells, anyway, the point was that meeting new people was always a little awkward or hard, "Oh and this is Pizza Rat," She introduced, motioning towards the slightly chubby rat on her shoulder to introduce him too.
She was particularly relieved when Glen showed up as he was someone she considered a friend, despite some of their meetups being rather awkward in the past. Bloom was another one. Serena had not seen her around in a while but she was one of the first people she had met at Hogwarts. "Hey guys," She greeted them both with a grin, "Uhh I don't think you can win? I guess if you don't back out of doing the dares or lie when answering the questions then you win? Maybe?" She offered as an answer, not entirely sure if that was a thing. You probably won bragging rights, did that count as a win? "I went with a truth too. I got uh... Klara Vaaa-sil-i-eva? Vas-ili-eva? This person-" Serena held up her piece of paper that read 'Klara Vasilieva', which was a surname she was not confident to pronounce. A part of her was hoping someone recognised the name because she did not. "I should find her..." She mumbled as she looked around a little, trying to see if she could spot her. She had to be around somewhere, after all.
"Hey there! I don't think everyone is here. I haven't seen my person yet, I don't think, unless you're Klara, but hopefully one of yours is?" Serena continued as she responded to the newest arrival. She would go and find her own person soon but she was kind of just hoping someone else had people in this group so she did not have to venture too far.

Entering the scene while Alec hadn't made his presence exactly known. But people could and likely would notice as he entered.
-
Moving onto the given task at hand Alec took a slip of paper from the goblet once things had settled down. Alec smiled to himself as he was given someone to give a truth too. He'd found it was always rather hard to come up with good questions for a truth. But nonetheless he had some time to come up with something. In the meantime he could wonder why truth or dare was encouraged by the professors. He'd learned recently that the students of Hogwarts had a tendency to be the ones making a lot of their own problems. it wasn't the best idea to trust children with this in that way. Alec was thirteen, he didn't trust what he was going to ask. Maybe it would have been best if he decided to blurt something out right away.
Giving himself a moment to reflect on all the questions Alec could ask he did a quick peak around for the name Bloom Silverton. After he had it was smooth sailing. Giving out a question should have been easy enough. At the very least his question would be mid-tier not top-tier but close. His question, or truth for the girl ended up being, “What do you think is a book title that would describe your life?” Simple to ask, simple to answer. He wasn't bothering with teenage girl crush nonsense. He also had decided he did not want to delve deep on a person's worst fears or darkest secrets.
