Interactions: Open, but soon to be getting a dare from @Santario Martin

He started out the day still in his bottom bunk of the Thestral Cabin with his notebook opened. There were a lot of thoughts swarming through his mind, mostly on the visitor that had stopped by his house earlier that Summer when he was back home in London. If his suspicions were correct and this perhaps was his father...did he try and find out more?

"I always choose truth! After I was dared to kiss a frog when I was eight... No. Never again. I even got a wart on my mouth!" he overheard one of his cabin-mates say and glanced up. Today was the day for the Truth or Dare activity that he signed up for.

Simon quickly closed his notebook and stuffed it into his bag, quickly put on the shirt that he was to wear for the event, and placed his bag over his shoulder before hurrying out the door. His hope was that he wouldn't be late because where was the fun in that? Everyone would be paired up already and he wouldn't get a chance to participate.

Once there, there were only a few who had found their partner and for that he was grateful. He looked around, seeing one of Haley's best friends in the mix but at lot of faces he had seen around the corridors but didn't really know their names.

As he looked around, a song popped into his head from the 1960s in America, Bruce Channel's "Hey! Baby."

"Hey, hey baby, I wanna know-oh-oh, if you'll be my girl," he sang softly.

Trying to collect a sense of what he was supposed to do first, Simon looked around the area as he pulled out his water bottle from his bag, only to find it empty. Of course. He was in such a rush back at the cabin that he didn't think to fill it. Luckily there was water over in an area across the way. "Pardon," he said as he reached to grab one of the plastic water bottles from the collection.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

Milo tapped his foot against the grass, his loose shirt grasping onto the wind before he decided to button it up one more so it wouldn't escape. He realized wearing white jeans while sitting on grass was a mistake so he promptly got up, found a blanket and sat back down. After zoning out for a bit, more people trickled in, he observed them silently but none came to confront him nor did he know any familiar faces. That is until one girl @Vivian Fletcher made her way over to him. He raised a brow at her but before he could say anything he got interrogated.

"Milosh, Durmstrang, 5th year." He replied coolly, not in a cold manner just a casual tone. Before he could ask for her name she bounced off to get drinks, seeing as he already snagged a picnic basket it meant he was a good source of food. Probably why she gravitated over towards him. In a few seconds she was back carrying water and drinks. "Thanks, remember to breathe." He let out a small chuckle and grasped a water for himself.

Glancing around he heard another excited chatter and turned to see a brunette in view across the ways from him. Had he overheard her name was Cosmo? It was a weird name in itself but she thought it might've been a guy. Milo shrugged and then looked back at the drink pile before getting an idea. The blonde grabbed a few cans of assorted liquids, lemonade, fizzy water, soda, orange juice, etc and wobbled his way over to her and another girl she was conversing with, being careful not to drop the cans. "It seems I have a dare to give you? I hope you like potions class because your mixing ingredients together." A lopsided smirk slid on his face as he gestured to the laid out drinks. It wasn't that bad since he just asked for her to mix a few together and drink it. He could've done waaaay worse to be fair. He shrugged and returned to the blanket where the girl he still didn't know the name of was daring a somewhat older girl from Hogwarts to do.. 40 squats? Well he had yet to receive his.. truth? That's what he put in the goblet right. It seemed the dares weren't too bad maybe he'd do a dare next time. Time to sit back and relax and watch the chaos go down.

Dan, at last, made his way to the truth or dare site.
He had... admittedly, arrived a bit late. It was mainly because he had gotten lost in a Rick Riordan book, and then got turned around three times in his cabin before he found the entrance.
But, no one was around, so no one saw. And certainly no one needed to know.

He arrived, sat down, and began to eat and drink. It was a picnic like area. So naturally he was going to picnic.
Dan did not normally like picnics; eating outside is simply inviting (almost demanding) that insects and ants swarm you to get at what you're eating. Or to get at you, depending on what bug it is.

Upon looking around, he found who he was supposed to force the truth out of. Milosh Rehnquist.
..... That name was STRAIGHT out of Dark Souls, and no one could convince Dan otherwise. You trying to tell me that you couldn't see that name on the bottom of your screen above a screen-wide health bar, while bangin', likely ominous music was playing?

Still though.... This one was CUTE.

Dan didn't have the most ground-breaking truth to force out of Micolash- Ah, Milosh on the way here.... But, then one came to him in a flash of brilliance. Wonderful, cold, cruel brilliance.

He moved over to Milo, a grin on his face that would not be out of place on the face of a mastermind anime antagonist.

"Hello Milo. I'll be gettin' the truth out of ye, today.
So tell me. Who do ye think is the most attractive person in the summer camp?"

Santario took a long drink from her water before looking around for Simon or, well, at least shirt that said Simon when she saw Kaz walking over. She would quickly cap her bottle and wipe the excess water from her lips before offering him a polite smile. This was probably one of the only people who could approach her with her surname and not get angry with them. She did not know much about Kaz, but it was a part of his culture.

“So it seems you have and what an interesting question…” Out of all of the things that this boy could have asked her, especially with her conversing with Vladimir and Fleeing with him at the ball, she had not expected something so… Innocent.

Another approached them, and Santario would offer her a small smile as well. “Greetings Cosmo, My name is Santario, third year, and I believe Scarlett is a Quidditch player, but that is about all I know of her. Is she your person?” She looked back at Kazuo, her sapphire eyes scanning his face for just a moment.

“First, I would wish for all the cursed students to be uncursed.” After all, her deepest desire was to save her best friend and break his curse. It only made sense to free the others as well. “For my second wish, I would wish that Wizards and Humans could live together peacefully without secrecy.” Surely, it wasn’t so ironic that someone who always found themselves wrapped up in the chaos wanted harmony. “Lastly, I would probably wish the genie free if that was the kind of situation they were in. If that is not how it works, then… Hm.” She bit her bottom lip as she thought. “I would wish for myself to be skillful enough to properly attain my goals.” It was phrased very carefully enough to keep it vague.

She looked up for a distraction, having breached a thought she did not want to think about right now when she caught the name Simon on the back of a shirt. “One second… HEY SIMON!” She called, waiting until she got his attention. “I dare you to keep your eyes closed until you are given your next truth or dare!”

Sarah smiled when she read the sign beside the goblet – consent is cool, people. she agreed, definitely cool, super cool in fact. She was happy that everyone would be given an out if they were told to do something or answer a question which they didn’t feel comfortable with. Perhaps it was the years of being told what to do by her father who cared little for how she felt or what she wanted. She was pulled from her thoughts by the sound of giggling nearby and grabbed a piece of paper to write her name with the letter ‘DARE’ next to them.

The girl felt slight trepidation as she let the note go in the goblet, unsure how severe these dares were going to be – it wasn’t as though she would agree to cutting off her hair or stripping to her underclothes to go for a dip in the lake. Even then, the possibility of such dares was still favourable to the Slytherin who was far more anxious about receiving a truth she didn’t want to answer. She had far too many secrets to give someone the opportunity to expose one of them and sha was likely far too stubborn to deny answering a truth if she was asked. Dare was ironically the safer bet.

In return for her signing away her own life – or so it might seem to the dramatic Slytherin – Sarah received a name back. Piper Clark. She read and breathed a silent sigh of relief that she actually knew who the girl was. At least she wouldn’t have to go around asking who she was supposed to be daring. She looked around for the younger Slytherin, unable to find her at first. When she eventually did, she would walk over to her with a small smile. The girls didn’t know each other well but sharing a living space for the past year had allowed them to meet in passing once or twice. Enough for her to approach her and hopefully not have to introduce herself.

“Piper, I guess I got you,” She would say to the girl with a teasing grin on her face. She supposed she probably should have considered what she might dare her before bouncing on over to her, but she hadn’t had that degree of foresight. “Right, I dare you…” She trailed off, biting her lip in consideration. After a moment her eyes widened with excitement as she thought up a dare. “I dare you to sing everything instead of speaking until your next dare,” Sarah grinned, hoping the dare was appropriate. She had never really played this game when she was younger, nor had she ever played it since being at Hogwarts. Though judging by some of the other dares which she’d heard being shared around, she thought it seemed doable at least.
When she finds her, daring Piper to sing all of her words until she receives her next dare. And awaiting her dare from Xeno Darkaz.

The blonde had just returned from giving an essentially easy dare to complete to a girl of which he hadn't seen before and would likely forget. The boy didn't want to wait around to see the results, plus he'd really just feel awkward anyways. He laid back on the blanket he had claimed earlier, soaking in some of the cool air as he closed his eyes momentarily. A shadow had closed over him and he opened his eyes. Just as he presumed a person was standing over him. Was this the person asking him a question?

He received his answer fairly quickly as the boy with rather unusual phrasing of words asked him his question. Who do I think is the most attractive person at summer camp? The boy re-iterated the question to himself as he glimpsed around the clearing. He had not talked to many of the people there. His memory then drifted back to the cabin and again no one special stood out. He drew his gaze back to the boy and answered bluntly. "You are probably looking for a more exciting answer but I do not find anyone I have met so far attractive. Beauty isn't the thing that attracts me, and I haven't had enough banter with anyone either to know. Summer camp isn't all about flirting and flings you know." The words tumbled out of him, the cold, honest truth. Maybe it was a bit harsh but what did he care? He had no type. Guys, girls, Ilvermorny, Hogwarts, blondes, brunettes, red heads, you name it. Milo stretched his arms above his head and let out a yawn, before he refocused his gaze on Dan.

"Why do you ask? Was their no better question or do you like to pry into people's life and get gossip? He challenged, not angrily but more or less curiously, wanting to see him squirm. Didn't even introduce himself, got straight to the point and had a smirk on his face all the while. It was too early to tell if he was just teasing and bored like the rest of the students or if just wanted dirt and was a (1) Narushitel' spokoystviya, but either way Milo was not having it.

Piper quickly reached the grounds in order to be on time for the activity she had signed up for. The whole summer camp idea was quite interesting, although Piper slightly regretted leaving her summer behind so early. Besides, Eleanor had pushed her so she could get a few "positive experiences." Piper had decided to sign up for this game only (Spin the Bottle would never see her in a million years), although she had only played once with her older cousin Ash. That had been quite enough; she had been dared to eat a snail and had only been stopped a moment before.

Now, however, the incoming second-year had grown much older than six, and she trusted her ability to make decisions with more common sense (kind of a mistake). Piper approached the Decision Bowl with much contemplation. Should she select truth, or dare? Either one could turn out badly, but truth was probably safer. But was safer always more fun? And what type of dares would be instated by these people? Piper knew a few faces, but not too many. Were these students the type to give silly truths and dares or would they give intense commands?

Although, simply not doing one was technically an option. It just meant the player was socially a wimp - but probably too smart to go along with things.

After playing several mind games with herself, Piper eventually settled on taking a dare. She may or may not regret it, but it wouldn't be any fun to just answer a question, especially if it was boring. She was capable of anything. Unless she wasn't. But at least she could try; nobody could predict the future.

When the results released, Piper glanced at who she was assigned. Kazuo Shimada...what type of truth should she ask? She remembered seeing the name around, mainly in class. Now, would he appreciate a deep question or a silly one? Probably one that made him think. The Slytherin furrowed her brow and thought of a question that could go either way. It was perfect, and could be answered with a deep secret or a fun fact, depending on preference. I'm so kind... How generous and admirable was she, thinking of someone else's preferences!

Feeling rather smug, Piper surveyed the room. It didn't take long to spot the person she needed to find, but before she could walk up to him, a girl approached her. Her bright green hair made the girl easily identifiable as Sarah Lightwood, a 3rd year who Piper had worked with in the Dormbattles. After a quick greeting came the dare:

"I dare you to sing everything instead of speaking until your next dare.”

The blonde girl raised her eyebrows. She never thought of herself having the best voice, but she supposed she could figure it out. It wasn't ideal but could be worse. I hope I don't humiliate myself tooo badly. She just wouldn't talk besides giving Kazuo his truth. "Thanks," came her one-note response, along with much throat-clearing.

Now, it was time to deliver the truth. Piper walked up to the target and sang "Hello, I'm Piper..." in a light tune (think the line "My fair lady" from the London Bridge song). "The singing's a dare. My question for you is, what's something you've never told anyone? Take it as literally or as darkly as you want." The first sentences were sung in a mediocre middle tune, and the last all one G4.

That should do the job nicely.

It seems that Cosmo had lucked out, not only did Santario know Scarlett was a Quidditch player, but a boy had come over practically juggling drinks and given her a dare. As she tried search through her memory for what the Quidditch players looked like, Cosmo started mixing drinks. She emptied a plain water bottle onto the grass, and started pouring in small amounts of each fizzy drink. It had been a little strange for the boy to give her a dare and then leave, but she supposed he had other places to be, dares to receive. Someone had come over to give Santario her truth, and Cosmo listened while she watched her strange concoction change colour and bubble as she added first one sweet syrup then another. By the time she was done she had a murky green-brown and frothing drink before her, and she grinned at it. This is the kind of thing Cosmo would do unprompted simply from curiosity, and so she drank from it without hesitation. It tasted like melted sugar and her throat was slick with it, but the most damage it could do was give her the best sugar high of her life. She looked at Santario, making sure she had finished answering her truth before grinning and bidding her farewell.

"Thank you for the tip about Scarlett being a Quidditch player, it was lovely to meet you!" Cosmo then turned and began her search, carrying the worlds most sugary drink in hand. The name Simon was called out just after she left, and Cosmo almost turned to look for him, but she was set on finding Scarlett, saying hi to Simon could come after.

It took her a little while, but eventually Cosmo's eyes alighted on a girl with a very vivid shirt, and hair to match. She broke into a grin and trotted over, calling out to get the other Gryffindor's attention.

"Hey Scarlett! I've finally found you!" Cosmo came to an abrupt stop in front of her, and smiled, taking a second to look Scarlett up and down. "My name's Cosmo and I think I have just the dare for you..." she grinned, practically dripping mischief, "for the rest of the game, every time you ask someone a truth or give them a dare you have to add onto the end of your question 'pwetty pwease', and do puppy dog eyes!" Cosmo laughed, certain that this was something Scarlett would find absolutely disgraceful. "Oh! And you're not allowed to say it's a dare," this was an afterthought, but it was a necessity in Cosmo's opinion. She did a little curtsy, with a cheeky smile. "That is all! Thank you!"

Truth or dare is a game she had never played before and has no experience in it, not just that, she hasn’t played any game before or if she had, she would’ve forgotten it by now. Simply, she signed up in everything hoping that everyone would go easy on her or anyone else. Nodding her head, she smiled listening to Milosh but before she could say about her, her head was filled with the thought of water and drinks. After settling down, she chuckled at his comment, “Okay” she replied gulping for breath.

“Ah! I guess you-” she started as she showed her shirt’s backside again, “-saw this...”, turning to face him, “Vivian, Hogwarts, 1st” she tried to use his same ‘cool’ tone but failed, shaking her head so fast from one side to other “Ah, no! 2nd year” she smiled shrugging. After introducing herself as a 1st year for one whole year, it was hard for her to adapt suddenly. Not knowing what else to say, she started “So, you like being here?” with her eyes fixed on him. After few minutes, the place was filled by many students and the blonde waved at the one she knew and smiled at others hoping to know them afterwards.

When it was her turn to receive the dare, she smiled at the red haired girl, smiling nervously “Hi”, as soon as she heard the dare her face turned glum but she knows a little bit how a french would talk English, I will try, I ahm useeng french ahccent. eet's so hahrd.” she shook her in difficulty and flinched, but the thought suddenly took place inside her head, she has seen her somewhere before, squeezing her eyes slightly, “wait, een ze bahll... to sahmantha.... shahkespeare poem... eet's you, right?” she blurted, cutting out some words for her ease.

Opening her mouth half open in shock seeing Milosh daring Cosmo to mix and drink, “You- hair- dreenk eet, my gawd!” she shook her head in disbelief and saw Cosmo drinking it with a worried look.

While he was waiting for Santario to give her response to his question, she was approached by a girl Kazuo didn’t recognize. The girl didn’t seem to realize that he and Santario were in the middle of a conversation, simply started talking as if he wasn’t even there. He arched a brow at the girl but said nothing, merely gave a shake of his head in disapproval. When she asked who Scarlett was, he cleared his throat. Once Santario had addressed Cosmo, he spoke up. “That one, over there.” He pointed directly at Scarlett as she was talking to Vivian. “Is Scarlett.”

With Cosmo greeted and directed toward her target, Santario gave her answers. Kazuo listened attentively, considering each answer in turn with a hint of a smile drawing at the edges of his lips. He thought about them as Santario attempted to catch Simon’s attention, hollering her dare at him. It was an amusing and relatively harmless dare and completely lacked any romantic elements such as kissing. He gave Santario a grin, thankful that at least one person wasn't love-crazy.

“So… someone you care about has the curse… you're a progressive thinker… and you have ambitions that you feel you don't yet have the skills to achieve." He observed, extrapolating on her answers. They were logical guesses, likely predictions, but he could also be wrong, of course. He was curious to see if Santario would confirm or deny the assumptions.

Before Santario could respond, he was approached by his own Truth giver. Piper had apparently been caught by her own dare-giver because she was singing at him. He grinned a bit at her question, a fairly easy one for him to answer. There were many things he'd never told anyone after all. "Something I've never told anyone…" He hummed thoughtfully then grinned. A simple answer was the easy option, something like admitting he didn't like a certain food. Safe. Boring. Instead, he chose something entertaining. "There is a place I liked to go in Tokyo where I'm not technically allowed to go. It's a tattoo shop in Shinjuku where a certain type of clientele go. The tattoo artist knows my family so he let me watch sometimes when he worked. When I was still there, anyway. I've never told my parents or anyone else that I went there."

He was about to turn back to Santario, hoping to continue the conversation with her when Vivian's dare caught his attention and drew a frown to his face. He fixed his gaze on both Vivian and Scarlet, an entirely chilly gaze, displeasure intentionally displayed. "You do realize, I'm sure, that we have guests from other schools here? And that what you are doing is making fun of them? I can only imagine how they might feel to hear you mocking their accent, something they have no control over, for a few laughs." With that admonishment given, he turned away from the girls, giving his attention back to Santario.

"Apologies." He spoke, giving her a wry smile. "Your answers to my question make me want to ask more questions. I think truths are so much more interesting than dares."
