Well, it seemed there was a reason the older girl (Lavinia) has been dry up to that point, Scarlet sighed as she watched her swiftly dodge the line of water firing in her direction, 'not too bad,' she thought, admiring the girl's agility.

Scarlet wasn't the only one to open fire on that girl, several others had once again tried, and all failed, to soak her with water - not even a light spray, she was still as dry as everyone was at the beginning of the game.

With the aim of not missing her next shot, Scarlet focussed her attention to the others in the group, instinctively finding the whole who she had successfully hit on her first shot, the girl was dripping as if she had just been hit again. "Yes!" Scarlet turned to hear the celebrations of another dark blonde girl (Shanelle), she lowered her water gun from it's position pointing at Paige. She saw the girl approach another student (Vivian), and introducing herself as Shanelle, she proposed an alliance.

Jogging over to where the two girls where standing, Scarlet interjected, "Hey, I'm Scarlet, couldn't help but overhear that you're looking to team up," she said, looking towards Shanelle, "mind if I join you guys, three's a more powerful team than two right? she asked, glancing between both girls.

"Nice shot before as well," Scarlet said to Shanelle, complimenting her on her successful shot on Paige, "we shouldn't give her time to dry off," Scarlet said jokingly, aiming her water gun at Paige once again.

Gabriella flinched and cursed under her breath as her jet of water shot right past her opponent - she was desperate to get one up on the third-year, and there was no better way of doing that than attacking her with a jet of water. Unless...

"I can see the determination on your face," said the referee, the snarky Beauxbatons boy Gabriella didn't know. "It's creating wrinkles." Gabriella scowled; she was determined for a reason, and she had every right to be, in her opinion. She hated Tory Williamson, but in a way she felt even angrier at Scarlett - the scarlet devil - simply for her pure audacity. Anyway, now she could get Scarlett back, and she wouldn't stop until she had got the girl thoroughly wet.

"Get over it!" Scarlett shouted, sending a jet of water straight at her. Gabriella tried to leap out of the way, but would it work?
"You think I'm letting it go that easily?" Gabby bellowed back, pointing her gun at Scarlett and shooting again. She would not, could not, let this one slip... She supposed, if she and Tory had been friends, they might have banded up together to get back at Scarlett - but unfortunately this wasn't an option, so Gabriella just had to do as much harm to Scarlett as she could herself.

Just then, she spotted Everly, her friend, in the crowd, setting her gun on a boy she didn't recognise (charles). Gabriella had met Everly on a couple of occasions, and she liked to think of herself as Everly's 'muggle mentor' - so far she had taught her new friend how to use a biro and how to get her ears pierced, and she liked to think they had a good relationship. "Oi, Everly!" she shouted, hoping the Gryffindor would hear her. "D'you want to form an alliance?" She could definitely do with some help getting Scarlett down...

Well, today certainly seemed to be going much better than yesterday already. Perhaps since she was already wet, no one had decided to fire at her, so she avoided getting even more drenched. But, this time, her attack had been successful and she managed to drench the boy that had gotten her wet. And not just wet, it was a direct hit to his face. She would stick her tongue out at the boy, giggling while saying "Ha, take that!" Of course, it could have been that the boy was totally preoccupied with his spell casting at Cash, but still, she would claim this as a win.

It seemed Paige had agreed to team up with them, so it was one less threat, so long as she stayed loyal. She didn't totally know the girl, so she hoped Cash was making the right call here, but, seeming as Cash didn't even know Paige's name, it could be a problem. At least Cash wouldn't turn on her. Too bad they had been disarmed though. It did seem Cash was about to propose to an alliance to most of the people there too, as they asked two others that Starlee didn't know if they would be interested in joining their steadily growing team. She was going to have to trust Cash's judgement on those two.

One of Starlee's good friends, Everly, joined in on the game a little late, and she watched as she attempted an attack at the same durmstrang boy from earlier. Well, this certainly caused for another potential ally. She would run over to the girl and say, "Oy, wanna join Cash, Paige and I on a team?" She would point to the other two as she said their names. "Better to stick together that be left alone on this field... savage." she would say, somewhat serious but also somewhat laughing, flashbacks of the previous day haunting her. Of course, someone else seemed to want to form an alliance, so it would be up to Everly to make the decision, and she could totally turn on Starlee, but it could be worth the risk. At least today it was just water and not those dreaded tomatoes.

Starlee took a moment to survey the field. Of course, there was the obvious choice to attack some of the dryer looking people, but... really... who would pass up on the option to continue to blast water at someone who was totally blindfolded? She would once again attempt an attack at Alec, hoping to totally drench the boy even further. She would have to thank Cash for taking one for the team.

Lavinia was having some crazy insane luck in this game. Cassie had aimed at her for the second time and somehow Lavinia dodged it. The water just didn’t want to hit her and she wasn’t complaining. Just because she planned to get wet and it was hot outside didn’t mean she wanted to get wet. The main goal was to stay dry and for some reason she was doing it, it was either that or Cassie just couldn’t aim.

If Cassie couldn’t aim then Lavinia definitely could. She had hit Cassie again and drenched the birthday girl once more. The boy Berry was commentating which caused Lavinia to just yell right back at him. “Thank you I believe, I’m just doing my job to get the birthday people wet.” Whether Berry knew it or not he would probably also be drenched by Lavinia later on.

Suddenly she noticed another water spray coming her way. After dodging it she looked around and spotted Charles with an empty gun aimed at her. He had missed it but there was definitely an alliance forming. Lavinia would prefer to just go solo and hit whoever she felt like. There was no need to have teammates to avenge her when none of the water even hit her.

Focusing on Cassie and Charles, she saw another girl (Scarlet) aiming at her. Hadn’t the people learned at this point that she was not getting wet? Dodging yet another water blast, she debated who to hit next. The easy answer would be Cassie again but it would probably be rude at this point to hit her again. Charles was a little bit wet and she almost choose him before deciding on the girl. The brunette (Scarlet) was completely dry and that needed a little bit of changing. Pointing her water gun at Scarlet, she just hoped for another hit.

“What is wrong with you?” the blonde jiggled the water gun in her hand when she finally opened her eyes to see her aim not getting hit by even a single drop of water from her gun. Taking a look at the french boy Sebastian, with a worried expression “Excuse me! I think mine is not working, it’s not hitting where I aimed it at” as she lifted and waved the gun in the air. Maybe she could give it one more chance to see whether it’s working or not. If it is not going to work one more time she would want a replacement.

To her surprise, a girl walked to Viv and asked if she wants to team up with her. Widening her eyes, “With me?! Are you sure? Then okay”, she smiled at her with her eyebrows pulled down in confusion, “I am Vivian”. Didn’t this girl notice that she hasn’t wetted even one person out there? Or maybe she noticed it and still wanted to team up with her. When the blonde still stared dreamily at Shanelle in disbelief, another girl’s voice draws her attention. It was Scarlet, with who she talked with in spin the bottle, “Hi, Scarlet”. Wait what! Another person who wants to team up with her, “O...Kay” as she smiled nervously at her teammates.

Already the blonde was glad that she was no one’s target for a while and now it was so nice to know that two girls wouldn’t surely aim at her. Who should she next aim at? It was confusing so she just closed her eyes and planned to aim at the first person her eyes lays on. It was the person who shot her first Gabriella. With her eyes fixed and the gun pointed at that girl, she hoped at least now she would hit her target. This time she didn’t close her eyes, rather she turned around before knowing whether it hit her or not.

Yeah, Charles was ignoring Berry. On purpose. Just like he did with Scarlett. "Thank you," Cassie replied, before adding a little pointedly, "Can you be nice to Berry? He's really nice most of the time."

Charles proposed an alliance between him, some guy called Alec, Cassie and Berry, whom he seemed to be trying to include. "I think-" Cassie started before she was cut off by Berry, who announced the start of the game. Cassie immediately jumped into the fray, forgetting to reply to Charles.

The brunette, who had gained the nickname of 'Snow White' from Berry, was still dry. Cassie was just getting frustrated now. Usually, she was good at water fights! Mind you though, it couldn't just be her, since Snow White had evaded attacks from plenty of other people too.

And then Mademoiselle White shot at Cassie - again - and hit Cassie - again - and Cassie was drenched - again. Cassie scowled. "HOW IN THE LORD'S NAME ARE YOU STILL DRY RIGHT NOW?!" she shouted across to the older girl. "IT'S VERY ANNOYING!"

Berry sounded a little bemused. "Because... I'm like that?" Cassie suggested with a chuckle of her own.

And then, with a shout of her own, Scarlett Aden leapt into the arena, a little late but as enthusiastic as ever. She shot at Cassie, who jumped out of the way and yelled back, "THANK YOU! BUT I THINK 'THOU' MEANS 'YOU'!" In no way was Cassie an expert on Shakespearian, but that sounded right to her.

Scarlett then proposed an alliance, which reminded Cassie of the one Charles had suggested. Teams were popping up everywhere from what the Beauxbatons girl could tell, and it would probably make sense for her to join one. But still...

Before Cassie could answer, Berry announced that Scarlett was late, which... yeah. Scarlett was like that. However, Berry wasn't quite as lenient as Cassie when it came to lateness and said something in a language Cassie was pretty sure was Veela - she recognised the lilting tones of the language, and she recognised the use of it. "Are you insulting people in Veela again?" Cassie asked her friend with an eyebrow raised, before turning to her other friend. "Veela, probably. And you can't shoot Berry! Yet." she told Scar, flashing Berry a wicked grin.

Charles shouted over, saying that he and Cassie already had an alliance. Cassie groaned. "Will you all at least try to get along, pretty please with a cherry on top and way too many sprinkles?" she pleaded. "It's my birthday? Kind of." she offered. Then she paused for a moment and squeezed some water out of her hair. "Also, apologies but I'm not joining any alliances, my friends," she grinned. "Can't promise not to shoot you!"

Apparently, Berry was a 'nightmare'. "Argh!" Cassie felt like tearing her hair out. Was she really this bad at choosing friends who'd get on with each other? "I give up. I give up, I tell you."

And then- a blindfold flew out of one person's wand and attached itself firmly around a boy's head. "Hey-" Cassie started, moving towards the two, but Berry got there first, of course. He showered the person in water from his water gun and gave them a telling-off.

In a moment of pity, Cassie Heather stepped over to the boy - Alec. "Cassie Heather McGregor-Martin; call me Cassie," she said, placing a hand on his shoulders to show him where she was. "You're Charlie's friend, right? Here." Cassie gave the blindfold a tug, trying not to get it wet. She was certainly the most drenched of everyone here. It was just ironic that she couldn't win any prizes, because she was definitely hungry for 2 chocolate frogs right now.

It seemed as though SCARLETT A was one to jump to conclusions so quickly. Shipping two people who were so clearly enemies? She also was just another stereotypical red head. A flaming temper and an attitude to anyone who wrongs them. GABRIELLA or 'FLORA' had become one of those people. SCARLETT A knew what she wanted and she defiantly got it when the jet of water splashed GABRIELLA on the chest.

"No you can't hit me." Berry said turning his nose up at her, "but.. That was an alright shot." He turned away and frowned. Maybe he was being a bit harsh to her. After all, she was one of Cassie's best friends.

CHARLES had gotten the same thought as SCARLETT A. To destroy their enemies at the same time. However, his luck was not a good. His aim was off and it missed the girl, GABRIELLA, by quite a bit.

Sébastien's frown become more visible after hearing the words coming from Charles' mouth. Of course he was a nightmare after what had just happened to him over the last six moths. Obviously, the Durmstrang boy wouldn't know about that unless Cassie had already told him. "My opinion maters to myself." He stated nodding his head before remembering this insufferable guy was also one of Cassie's friends, "and uhh.. Better luck next time."

On the bright side, MILOSH had decided to take out his enemy using magic. The disarming charm would work perfectly to get CHARLES out of the picture. MILOSH defiantly could not fail the spell. He was just too powerful and it showed as the water gun flew out of CHARLES' hand and somewhere onto the grass where the boy could not see it.

"Well done." Berry put on a small smile and weakly nodded his head, "You seem to be very good with spells." He then turned to Charles and silently mocked him in his head. That was karma for you.

GABRIELLA had become a target for many attacks. CASSANDRA had decided after the little stunt they played they would become more civil. For now. Redeeming themselves was not something on top priority. Just to make enough people get into their alliance to keep dry. CASSANDRA's aim was on point when their water gunshot the water all over GABRIELLA'S back making her more visibly wet than before.

Sébastien scoffed at Cassandra's successful hit and then looked at Gabriella. "No hard feelings but you need to work on your evasion skills." He said crossing his arms and leaning onto his right foot.

SHANELLE's thought process had become a very complicated area. Listening out for if someone wants to form an alliance and then also having to watch when the best time is to attack other people. Thankfully, her senses were on point. She noticed SCARLETT A talking towards another boy. A perfect opportunity. However, her senses were not a quick as SCARLETT A's. The redhead jumped out of the way just in time.

"I'm sure you'll get her next time." Sébastien groaned to himself and rolled his eyes. It would have been such a pleasure to watch carrots get shot twice in one round. "You might be able to hit another person soon." The boy then furrowed his eyebrows and frowned again. Being nice to random people just felt utterly weird to him.

Refreshments were not going to be given. PAIGE's self motivation of hitting everyone and dodging all attacks didn't work out. She missed hitting SHANELLE by a mile. Winning isn't an easy task and PAIGE wouldn't stand for being hit again. Even if it would be the last thing she did.

"Getting a little ahead of ourselves now. " Berry smirked and raised an eyebrow. "Celebration should come after you have hit someone. Humiliation is what happens when you start to early."

SCARLET S had also decided that being positive about an outcome would allow her to have more confidence when the time comes to shoot someone. It might work sometimes but it defiantly didn't work for SCARLET S. PAIGE had moved out of the way of the water. Maybe PIAGE's plan of not being hit was coming into play sooner than she thought.

Sébastien pursed his lips slightly, "You just did the exact same thing as this girl over here." He could not believe his eyes. They seriously just butchered their own attack. "Do none of you Hogwarts students ever learn?"

GABRIELLA wanted revenge. She hadn't got it the last round so she would not stop until her mind was satisfied. Revenge was what she got. Being hit by SCARLETT A probably fuelled her ambition even more. That is why GABRIELLA was the first person to hit SCARLETT A with a water gun attack. Well done GABBY.

"Good going." Sébastien grinned to himself. At least Carrots got a bit of taste from her own medicine bottle. "Try hit her again for me. I can see the tension between you two." He nodded his head towards Scarlett hoping the girl, Gabriella, would notice.

STARLEE would always take up and opportunity to hit someone who was vulnerable. So that is exactly what she did. ALEC had become blindfolded so he would have no sense of awareness around him. STARLEE took a shot and hit him directly in the chest. The water spewed everywhere hitting his blindfold a little bit as well. ALEC had become drenched.

"Well done for hitting him." Berry said and then continued, "But don't you think it's a bit cowardly to hit someone who can't defend themselves." The boy questioned her and tilted his head to the side slightly.

LAVINIA had become to person to fear. Dodging every attack and hitting a person every time and it wasn't going to change now. SCARLET S had tried to and failed to attack LAVAINIA so the only way to show her true power was to get the girl back. LAVINIA's accuracy was excellent and hit the SCARLET S in the right leg drenching her knee and whatever she would be wearing on her feet.

"Wait. Birthday people. That's me as well!" Sébastien grumbled and crossed his arms again. Why did so many people want to hit him? Was he really that annoying? "Good shot though."

GABRIELLA had not escaped the attacks just yet as VIVIAN also aimed her gun. VIVAN this time turned around instead of closing her eyes. The turning had caused the jet of water to veer of course and miss GABRIELLA completely. Watching to watch whether it would hit or not is probably the better answer.

"Your water gun works fine. It's just your aim." Sébastien said rolling her eyes, "It sucks. Don't close your eyes. Don't turn around and don't do anything that would skew your vision of your target. That is what is going wrong."

CASSIE HEATHER had decided being a good host was better than being the best in the game. She had walked herself over to where ALEC was stood after just getting hit by STARLEE. CASSIE HEATHER tugged onto the blindfold and it came loose falling into her hand. ALEC's vision was fully restored to him along with many a new friendship between the two people.

"Don't give up Cassie." Berry said taking a step foreword. Cassie was literally his only friend and he could not loose her. "I am sure we will all become friends with time." He gritted his teeth and looked towards Charlie and Carrots. "We will just need to find something in common."

Alec was caught up in anger among other things, the plentiful amount of emotions swirling around in his head were too much for the Gryffindor. He'd moved to cast a spell, anything quickly, as long as he wasn't going to end up in too much trouble for it. Disarming someone seemed to be there. If Cash had even said anything as Alec had pulled out his wand it was beyond the boy as that point. When he'd been able to utter his spell, which had done it job as intended despite Alec's rather severe emotional distress, Cash pulled their wand out on him. Something Alec hadn't anticipated, and instead of a simple disarming charm, she used a spell too blindfold him. Alec was so dumbstruck he hadn't realized it was coming until it did.

The blindfold had been the cure to any of the problems Alec was having only seconds earlier. The duellist was too busy criticising himself too remember that he was upset with Cash. He didn't understand how he'd let himself get hit. Alec had felt his reflexes were far more quicker with work on them over the summer, the fact that it hadn't shown up in a moment like this bothered him. He didn't take into account the mental state, because in his duelling he usually wasn't distressed. If he put it into practice maybe there was a chance that-but-the point was overall there was no focus on it. He'd failed. He didn't want to fail, even if it was just dodging.

Alec was at least calmed down from the incident itself, yet too flustered with everything to remember to take the blindfold off. By now he'd recognized one of the foreign student's comments as a thing. He was uncomfortable with it. First of all, poor old? Alec's brows furrowed, that and the slight compliment were the most uncomfortable things. The second thing which was more confusing was the name Bob Ross, alec's pin did not have a last name if that was what he was referring too. Wait what?! Alec's head shot up to look in the direction the student making his comments had been in. How did he know bob had a name in the first place?

Alec's mind was scrambled as Charles began to speak to him, “I'll-I'll be fine-” Alec managed, he wasn't sure about that. Did Charles know why Alec was being called Bob Ross? Instead of going for the blindfold Alec had his hand through his hair. He was annoyed with how curly it had become only minutes in because of both the heat and the water. Nonetheless he moved on, letting the sounds of voices drown out the rather dark scenery. He still hadn't taken his blindfold off. He was just starting to think he preferred the dark and all the voices drowning together into one, when a girl walked over to him. At first he'd thought it was someone around him, mainly because he was too in his own head until he felt a hand on his shoulder. Alec was rather surprised by this, he had to think back and remember what she had been saying.

Oh wait-she was one of the foreign kids. Cassie. “Alec, my name's Alec.” He said quickly, he understood more of what was going on when she reached to remove his blindfold. Alec didn't take it as pity though he should've. It was a relief to just have it off, he'd been a little lost in his head and trying to remember it was even as mess and-“I don't really-” Okay he was just going to accept her thinking that. “Would you mind telling me why your friend is calling me bob ross?” Alec's eyebrows creased as she'd taken the blindfold off. “Thanks,” Alec said simply he took a moment to look around, that was only a few minutes but it's really bright out. He hadn't realized. The darkness was easier when you weren't out in the sunlight.

His eyes scanned the scene for a moment trying to figure out who'd shot him with water just seconds before when he'd had his blindfold on. It wasn't fair that his hearing hadn't helped him. He let his eyes wander more before they settled on a girl. He looked back at Cassie, “you won't be suddenly unexpectedly shooting me with a water gun right?” he asked, he looked Cassie over for a moment. “Do you wanna double attack?” He asked, pointing to Paige Grant. Whatever Cassie's answer was Alec would go for the girl either way.

[font=times new roman]S[/font]carlett grinned at Cassie. "I can't shoot Berry yet," she repeated, drawing out the 'yet'. "When will that 'yet' be over?" She then turned to Charlie - the nickname Cassie had dubbed Charles which Scarlett had stolen for sarcastic purposes - who was informing Scarlett of Cassie's alliance with him. Scarlett gaped. "I don't believe a word of that-" she shot. After all, there was no way Cassie would choose a boy over her childhood friend of seven years. Cassie confirmed this, saying that the two of them should get along, and that she wasn't joining any alliances.

"Shame about the alliance thing," said Scarlett with a shrug. Her face drew into a smirk. "But at least I can still shoot you! And me and Charlie here are never going to get along, although-" She glanced at Charles. "-I'll try." Cassie then had to run off and help the Alec guy in her year and house out, so Scarlett turned her attention back to the game at hand. She had successfully hit Flora much to her contentment. Berry turned his nose up at her, but then offered her a compliment in the form of telling Scarlett her shot was 'alright'. "I'd say it was a great shot, because it hit, and there aren't many other shots," trumped Scarlett, pleased to have elicited a positive word or two from Cassie's rather judgemental friend. "And-"

But she was cut off there, probably to the relief of Berry. She neatly jumped out of the way of an incoming water squirt and swivelled her gun around to search for her mystery attacker [Shanelle]. However, she was quickly distracted by Charles aiming for Flora as well. Her mouth stretched into a smile. Maybe they could 'get along' after all, if Charles was going for the same victim. He missed, annoyingly. Scarlett didn't expect any better of him though. "Nice try!" she said, only half-mocking the boy. "Keep aiming for her and we might have an alliance!"

She was then squirted squarely by Flora, followed by an insufferable remark from Berry. Scarlett resisted the urge to turn her gun on the guy and instead aimed it at Flora. "Sorry not sorry Flora," she said as she pulled the trigger. "You've kinda made yourself a target."
