Melodic Hearing

@Violet Carrington
The final note of the song rang out ringing within the room as the brunette put her violin and bow down for a minute to stretch out her hands, a relieved groan escaping her lips. It was tiring after a while but it was an activity that she enjoyed to the fullest and not one that Elena would give up any time soon. She had wandered on over here after lunch having a free period in her schedule to brush up on some few tunes that had looked particulary appealing at the time. Half an hour in, her hand had begun to ache after holding the bow and instrument in place for so long so she had decided to take a break leaning back in her chair stretching as she took in everything that was around. A gentle, quiet place for her to appreciate a skill that only a few people knew of and that she could practice to her heart's content.
The Gryffindor wasn't terribly worried about anyone bursting in and while she knew she wasn't the only one to frequent this place, she planned her outings to this place at times where she was sure no one would be around but you could never tell. There was always the odd anomaly after all as a hand drifte down to the bag by her side fishing out a black folder filled with music sheets. "Which one next?" The girl mumured to herself eyes scanning the sheets shuffling them around humming quietly to herself. She finally settled on one nodding to herself, it was a piece she had played at last year's talent show and one that had gotten a postive feedback from the audience. If it had been good enough for them, Elena reckoned it should be good enough for her plucking the sheet out and placing it on the stand in front of her for her to have a view of while she played.
Taking a moment to herself, she finally leant down picking her instrument up and bow shuffling it so that it was in a comfortable positon in the crook of her neck and her shoulder tilting her head slightly before bringing her bow up to rest on the strings. "On the count of three then." The fourth year told herself counting off in her head before the sounds of music began to swarm the room like locusts. It was a relatively high-pitched song that was bound to attract the interest of anyone walking by curious to see who was so invested in their instrument. Her finger twitched just for one mere second and the note that came out sound like a dying horse as she cursed inwardly ceasing the song for a moment before resuming with a look of sheer focus and determination to end on a good note, a task she managed to complete without flaw. Song complete, she rested the violin in her lap as she thumbed the page for reference to find the note which she had completely dismantled. It was a portion she had trouble struggling with, a few more tries and she was positive she would have it. Hopefully, no one had heard that, had they? A precuationary glance towards the closed door, she had always been the jumpy type, this sort of thing was not something she liked to put on display often.
