It had been quite a week for Lavinia, she had been swamped with homework from all of her classes and was ready for a break. First it started with charms, potions, transfiguration and finally defense against the dark arts. It was if all of the professors had decided together to give the students loads of work for that particular week. So Lavinia decided to do the only thing that gave her a stress release, she decided that it was time to go flying.

Not the normal flying that she did with her team multiple times a week, but just plain old flying by herself outside of school. It was something that she had done many times at home over the summer and all she need was a broom and a bit of wind. Then the rest came naturally.

So here she was walking through the halls of the school towards the field. She normally kept her broom inside her dorm just to be sure it wouldn’t get stolen by anyone. Her broom was like her baby, one of her favorite moments at Hogwarts was when her teammates had pooled together loads of their money just so that she could buy a decent broom. She did see herself at some point selling the broom back to quality quidditch supplies and buying an even better one by herself, but for now this was her prized possession.

Gripping her broom firmly in her hand, she walked out onto the training pitch. The wind was blowing slightly, already whipping a bit of her hair around and the sky was almost clear of clouds. These were the perfect conditions for unwinding from stress. Lavinia decided to just spend a moment to take how beautiful being outside could be this time of day. It was around 10am and since today was a weekend she got to sleep in this morning so she had come here after eating breakfast. The birds were out and chipping slightly and it was a cool yet refreshing temperature outside.

After taking a moment to enjoy the morning, Lavinia placed her broom between her legs and kicked off the ground. The wind was evident in the sky and it felt amazing. It was as if all of her worries about schoolwork had gone away and the only thing that mattered was the speed at which she was flying. Picking up speed a bit, Lavinia sped around the field taking a few fast laps. This was the type of thing that made her feel alive and nothing was going to take this escape away from her.

---Violet wasn't a child that cared about sports, she thought it was a waste of time and a noisy distraction that she needn't even think about. However, the usual quiet air of the grounds was a perfect place to spend time with her books and quill, and the quiddich training pitch would usually be pretty empty unless a team was training for the next game. If that was the case, Violet would turn around and go back to the castle or the courtyard. Today thought, she was searching for a mentor. Somebody to help her out with flying classes, since she hadn't cared about flying on a broom and had never been teached to do so, the thought of failing in a flying class was a thought she had pondered for a pretty long time.

When she arrived at the training pitch, she wasn't very surprised to see a girl with curly, long brown hair flying on their broom. She was the only student that Violet saw in the Quiddich Pitch at the moment, and she was glad it was so; Vi did not want to have a crowd look at her terrible flying skills if the girl acepted her proposition of teaching her.

Violet sat on a bench and looked at the student while they flied in a much nicer way that Vi would havee done if she would have been there in her stead.

Waiting patiently for her to stop flying was the hard part tho. Violet wanted to shout at the girl for her to come down to the nice and safe ground and ask them if she could mentor her, but her politeness told her not to do so. Instead she watched her while her thoughts wondered how she would ask someone who seemed much more of a senior to teach her something tht she, Violet Carrington didn't know.

As she flew laps around the field she felt alive again and couldn’t wait for the next match where she could show off her new skills. Even this little flying outside of a practice or a game made her feel very content with her choices to play quidditch.

Lavinia was about to go down to the ground to grab a sip of water and noticed that there was another person on the field. She grabbed her water and took a sip then walked over to the girl who was just sitting there. The girl has long dark brown hair and looked as if she was waiting for something. Curious as to why she was here, Lavinia said "Hi, what brings you out here on this fine morning?"

Lavinia hoped that she hadn't said anything wrong to this girl because first impressions were always the thing that mattered the most to someone. Realizing that she should probably introduce herself as well, she stated "It seems like we are the only one's out here and I'm Lavinia a chaser for the Eagles" Maybe this girl was just outside to get some fresh air or wanted to watch Lavinia fly, either way Lavinia was happy that someone else was outside with her.

I'm so sorry for this short and late response, I hate having writers block.

Violet started to shake slightly, however she became more exited than nervous as the Ravenclaw quiddich player flew down from the pitch. She didn't know whether she should go and talk to the girl she was watching directly, so she used the technique to wait for her to wonder why Violet was here. When the girl she wanted to talk to approached, Violet smiled nervously at her as the Ravenclaw asked her why she was here.

"Hi~ so I watched you fly, and I wanted to ask you if you could teach me to play quiddich because it seems like a interesting sport and you play really well and~" she rambled. Okay, Violet had to calm down. It really wasn't her style to say things so unclearly, but she felt intimidated by the third year for some reason, maybe because she was so much her senior, or maybe because Violet had to ask someone for help for once.

She took a deep breath and said what she said before....thought this time it was more clear. "Okay~ I'm just rambling things, um, what I wanted to ask you was if you could teach me a bit how to play Quiddich? It's just that I'm quite interested in the sport and you play really well. I watched you fly right now, and it really seems like your passion, isn't it?"

The girl seemed to be a bit nervous with Lavinia’s presence there and it reminded her that she wasn’t the young first year any more. She was considered older by quite a bit of the students at Hogwarts and that was something she had to be sure to keep in mind for the future.

When the girl said that she admired Lavinia's flying and wanted her to teach her, Lavinia was to say the least shocked. Of course she had played quidditch since she was a first year and some people knew her from that but to have a first year ask her for lessons that was something she had never experienced before. It was a compliment Lavinia didn't know she needed but made her feel much better about the morning.

Thank you so much, Quidditch is definitely my passion and it would be an honor to teach you. First things first we need to get you a broom, I’ll be right back. Lavinia ran quickly to the broom shed and came back to the girl with the best looking school broom in her hand. Handing it to the girl she said, “Okay so that’s going to be your broom for this little lesson. I’m going to assume you know the basics of how to ride it from flying class, right?”

Not really waiting for an answer, Lavinia mounted her broom and hovered slightly above the ground. “So have you seen a quidditch game before or do you have a simple understanding on how it works?” She was interested to learn the extent of teaching skills and wasn’t sure where to start but was ready to try her best to teach this girl.
