A Spoiled Brat and Ice cream Solo finished

It was a sunny day inside the streets of Diagon Alley. The clear blue sky painting the horizon, there wasn't any clouds that could be seen. A perfect day some may say, but for Selene of course she was never fond of the sunlight. No, she's not blood-related to any dhampir of the sorts, she just dislike sunny days. The dry street and the sweat coming off many people's face. The unpleasant smell that could go off certain people bodies , the frowsty smell coming from certain parts of the bustling street or the fusty smell from certain shops like Ollivander's. This is why she rather stay at home, although if her Aunt heard her o suddenly have the ability to read minds, she would only state that Selene was being dramatic, well lucky Selene that her fiery mind could hold and keep many things lock shut. She didn't like when people know much about her, perhaps it was because of past experiences but she needs to grow somehow from it. There will always be consequences if a person trust someone too much, so naive, so-so naive. People like that make her want scream, throw tantrums even enlighten the person with the true reality of the harsh world. Not because it reminds her of her past-self.

Anyways, as of the moment she was waiting for her Aunt Celeste to come back with their ice-cream, her father on the other hand couldn't make it since apparently he had some sort of important meeting that clearly seems to be more important than shopping with the family!- or so what her Aunt said, not hers but her Aunt. She honestly didn't care much that her father couldn't come with them, she was used to him being busy , at first she was disappointed. Duh, he is her father after all someone who until now she respects a lot due to his work ethic. She knows that he realize that's the main reason she still cares for him, since he is the head of the family and the one who supports the family. She just need to do her facade as the daughter of a known family and play nice about it.Her father isn't an idiot, of course he would realize the main intentions of his own flesh and blood.Where else would Selene get her trustworthy profiling skills? She knows better than to anger her father, even if she finds it amusing to do so, well you win some you lose a few hundreds. It's 10 minutes in since her Aunt went inside the shop, Selene was starting to get bored. Yes she may have a phone at her home, and yes she could just use it but rather than hearing her Aunt's ranting voice she decided it's better to just not.Again, bored to the point she'll do something so amusing, well to her explore on her own the very streets of the place. So that's what she did. Even if she knows she'll walk this road too many times than her finger could count, she still wants to do it for the thrill of the fun.

Selene looked around the buzzing street of people. Checking the store once more to see if anyone's looking for her. Not to her surprise at all, her Aunt was still waiting in line while tapping her foot impatiently waiting for for it to get faster. Well it is her Aunt's own fault for choosing to go get ice cream at a sunny day like this. Selene just rolled her eyes, indeed she cares for her Aunt so she decides that she'll do just fine. She puts on her hood and goes on the move, huh it rhymes.

Walking down the streets, she caught a whiff of a somewhat familiar scent, evocative perhaps. Like a child seeing a glance of something it likes, or following candy trails like Hansel or Gretel. The smell made her want to see what's going on. It smelt like, a woody yet delicious, a comforting warmth of a mother's love. She moved aside the people in the streets, her little feet slightly going faster while her hair flew following the sudden breeze of wind from her movements. The scent, it reminded her of her mother. Finally, she made it to find the source of it. It was, as she expected, a small bread shop near the end of the road. Seeing that her hood fell off she fixed it again. This time, making sure that her face was hidden, especially her eyes.

The bread looked like an ancient one, or vintage one might say. The place wasn't to crowded, yet it still had costumers coming in & out. It reminded her of the bakery from one of her favorite movie as a child 'Kiki's Delivery Service'. The owners of the shop are two old ladies, seemingly a couple. One was helping out with the tray. The second one that still looks like quite youthful for her age was helping out customers. Knowing that she was for a fact hungry after taking taking such walks. Then from the corner of her she saw, a tray full of fresh made macaroons. The enticing smell, that reminded her of her Mother. It was placed on an open window, you know like one those disney movies. They were smart on using the macaroons to attract more customers. But also dumb and idiotic enough to let it open just like that. She stealthily made her way around the eyes of the crowd and successfully grab one, two maybe three macaroons. Well, that's what she wants to believe at first. She was too focused on grabbing and eating those macaroons out of her empty stomach, not noticing the woman that was arranging the trays. The woman looked like someone in her 40s, the bigger and much stronger one, otherwise how did she arrange and pick up those heavy trays? The oldie glared at the young girl, tho Selene couldn't focus much on eyes rather than her furrowing eyebrows, they were very bushy. Like a certain anime character, god I should stop with the references. The woman, surprisingly realize the kid was looking at her eyebrows making the emotions of anger reflected in her eyes more visible like the fiery pits of hell ready to devour her. Finally, after a moment of silence while staring each other with the crumbles left from the macaroon still visible on the sides of her lips. Selene coughed, smoothly hiding two macaroons in her pockets, carefully the macaroons were already wrapped in a small package anyways. She then smiled at the lady, in hopes of 'charming' her with her lovely smile. Even if the chances are, below the percentage of zero.

"You have very thick eyebrows Madame." The girl let out, she was only telling the truth and besides, it is a compliment. Well she hopes the lady think that it is as well. The old lady let out a grunt and clicked her tongue. And as Selene thought it was going to get worst, she was right. The moment the old yet buff lady yanked the back of her hood before she could react. Selene immediately reacted, kicking her legs back and forth while her hands were trying to untangle the lady's grasp on her. As the lady walks toward the front of the bakery the shop. Oh no, they were about to publicly humiliate her. 'Well crap.' Selene thought, rolling her eyes while ranting on like a spoiled brat.

"Hey! At least try to be more gentle with how you're pulling it! this hood is priceless regardless if it's expensive or not!Besides, even if you were trying to lure in customers! It was already careless and idiotic enough for you to open up the window while at the same time not expecting for someone to grab it!" Selene stated, as a matter of fact.

"So you do admit it, that you steal?" The lady finally spoke, surprisingly her voice was gentle but has a harsh tone to it and a grunt near the end. Bloody hell, how idiotic can someone be? Selene let out a groan of frustration for having to deal with this nonsense, and now she had to explain common knowledge to this huge gorilla women. At last, the huge gorilla put her down. Luckily enough, she's not publicly humiliating her, yet. The gorilla lady returned back to her body language before, showing off her 'dominance' even tho it's blatantly obvious she didn't know how to react. What? Have they never got any experience with this? How odd. Perhaps the one that's in charge of this would be the other one, well looks can deceive, very.

"Well?" The gorilla lady repeated. Raising one of those busy eyebrows of hers. Selene looked at her for a while, the expression on her face seemed focused while her eyes darted towards the floor, indicating that she's trying to crack the lady with her profiling skills. She then realize the aura that was steaming off the lady, she was nervous, un-experienced on dealing with this kind of thing meaning her thought about the other lady being the one usually in charge with this kind of this. Since it's hard to imagine that this kind of thing will not happen to a shop like this, old, dusty yet aesthetically pleasing. She smirks, a kind of smirk someone would have when they caught someone doing something, how ironic She crossed her arms, this time confident on what she thinks, positioning her stance with one leg pointing towards the exit. The aura the gorilla lady let off and the sweat coming off her face while her eyes were wandering through the shop, seemingly nervous. She let out a sigh.

"The word stealing is only when it belongs to someone, correct? When it's property of others or the owner if a person takes it without the permission of the owner, that's when it's used. If it has an owner if it belongs to someone. That is an act of stealing, if it also has a price. Now, the bread that you are selling, each of them has their own price set to them. While the macaroons that you put outside the window they didn't have a price nor an owner. The main purpose of a shop is basically giving an ownership of an object to their buyers, that even if they did make it it still belongs to them since in the end well, it's going to be sold either way, duh." Waiting for a response, the gorilla lady stayed silent. So Selene continues her smart-talk, rolling her eyes once again.

"That is why I said I grabbed it, not steal it. It'll be sod either way and it hasn't got a price yet so it's a freebie." Selene continued shortly, not going any further because she was too tired to explain it. All of this made her exhausted. As she waited for the gorilla lady to reply, she could feel a light tap on her shoulder. Which could mean two things, the shop owner or her aunt. But no, she would know if her aunt was close from miles away, based from her aura, scent or sound of footsteps since everyone has different footsteps. Selene turned her head slightly , looking at the old lady who is currently smiling at her. The aura was not of rage, but it was different. It was not negative or anything, but it was calm. To the fact that it was almost scary. She was once again right, the woman looked youthful for her age. But the fact that surprises Selene more was the fact that the woman had mesmerizing eyes. They were hazel eyes, underneath the sunlight they looked like sparkling bronze. Selene looked at her while turning around to face the other lady. The other lady smiled softly at her, bending down to her level.

"You must the little lady Ackermann, is that right?" The woman ask. At least this one has some manners and not just straight up yanked her. Either way, she slightly appreciate the the woman's tone of voice. She cleared her throat before slightly bowing to the lady in front of her. "Yes Ma'am. Pleasure to meet you."

Now-now, she's not an idiot to not question how the lady knows her name. She does realize it and she came to one conclusion and one conclusion only, that her Aunt was looking for her. Her Aunt was looking for her to the point that she's giving her name to randos on the street. Although Selene does admit that she almost forgotten the reason she came here for due to what she just experienced. Her guards tensed up, while she puts a hand to her hair. Mentally, she clicked her tongue for not realizing it sooner. In actuality, she sighed. Either way, the baker lady was kind enough to guide her to her Aunt. Well, who wouldn't be once someone knows her last name, it's obvious the baker lady is nicer to her than the gorilla one, because she'll get something out of this. Who, from the looks of it seemed pissed. Welp, Selene knows for sure that the both of them are going to have a long talk, and to think that this all started because of how long she waited for her Aunt to come back.

The walk home was silent, something that Selene likes but at the same time dislikes with equal measures. Her Aunt's expressions was a blank one, but of course Selene being a know it all she is read her. Her Aunt was mad at her, with her hands turning into a fist and her closed tight lips. She was mad at her, but at the same time she isn't. Her Aunt knows that Selene hated being in the silent treatment but her Aunt just couldn't help it, not with the fact that she had to search an hour for her spoiled niece to come back. In the end to also found out that she caused trouble for innocent citizens. Apart of her didn't want to be mad at her, because she knew the reason she acted this way was because she's bummed out about her father. That bastard of an older brother, if only he was more caring towards his family but not even parallel universes would there be a more caring version of him. Dammit that Lancelot! Celeste gritted her teeth as visible frustration becomes more and more known from her appearance.

"Technically I did not steal anything. If I have to even repeat my words again, please in the name of Harry Potter's scar, I'd roll my eyes so many times that I could even see my own brain." Selene mentioned, trying to be sarcastic. Well , she's trying at least. Her being sarcastic is perhaps a way to lessen down the situation. Then, Selene stopped at her tracks. tugging a piece of her hair behind her ear as she ask her wonderful aunt,

"I know you're mad at me and that's alright Auntie. Don't overthink too much about it. If you're mad at me then just be mad at me, if you're holding back merely because I'm a child, makes me feel a little offended."
Well, she's right about it either way so getting straight to the point would be a much better way to waste the time rather than chitter-chatting or trying to get on her Aunt's good side. Selene waited for her Aunt's response, low and behold she turned around and bend down to her niece's height. Her Aunt hugged her closely, truth to be told she was always the only one who knows what Selene needs. The only person Selene is able to withstand or to bear with, someone she doesn't mind being affectionate it. Sighing, Selene returned her hug with a pat to the back, not because she didn't know how to show emotions the right way she was just tired and wants to go home before settling to her new school tomorrow. Finally, her Aunt spoke with her messed up hair and dry lips.

"Selene, I know that you're disappointed that your Father couldn't come." She muttered softly, enough to make Selene push her Aunt away. She cares about her Aunt, personally the only person she actually cares about and knows her more than anyone. However, she didn't actually like it when people know her behind her facade, it makes her feel insecure that they'll know a way to stab her and to hurt her again. She hates people who trust other people too much, luckily enough she's patient enough to deal with them after all she's been through. Selene shifted her face away from her Aunt, knowing that her heart is fragile when it comes to her dad. Her biggest weakness, that one day she'll need to get rid off.

Her Aunt sighed grabbing her hand because she knows debating with her would only make her head hurt much more. "Very well then, we'll talk more about this at home. Now, Ice cream?" Celeste asked her niece, it's true that sometime she doesn't know how to deal with her. Her mind is like trying to solve a puzzle but all of them has the same sides, if that even make sense. Selene tugged her wrist, with a sideway smirk on her face she took out the two macaroons she grabbed. "Bloody hell, why must you take that personality trait from me. You could just take more of your mother.."She mumbled under her breath at the sight of her beautiful niece with an aura of a vixen. Selene continued to grin, giving her Aunt a macaroon.

"Let's just go home Auntie, it's obvious that the both of us are tired, your clothes are ragged and we have more sweets at home rather than this bustling street. The sun is going to sleep." Selene replied to her Aunt. Continuing to walk ahead of her, while she looked at her Aunt sideways with her icy eyes. In the end, the both of them went home with her Aunt having to keep an eye on her troublesome niece.

Then what the hell was the point of this? They didn't even have ice cream! But a story has to start somewhere now does it?"
