Katrina sat at the Small Hall with two pieces of paper. She was tired and had been working on some stuff for the last few hours.

Her brother, Liam, was an inventive author of many stories. Katrina had been working on replicating his work for the last month or so. So far she had most of a story that he used to tell. She had an excerpt of the story beside her. It was an action/nonfiction story with a lot of parts to it. The excerpt beside her read:

The forest was dark and bleak. The small city which she had been moved to, now lay in ruins. The path she was racing on was worn and tired out. Kat panted as she jumped over large logs and deep rivers. The sound of the angry Venom close at her heels. Tired breaths tore through her lungs and a stitch in her side was beginning to make her limp. It was getting closer.

A frantic glance back frightened her sore legs to move faster. The hideous beast behind her snarled and swiped at Mary Ann who was struggling behind her.

"Mary Ann!" Kat dove back grabbing Mary Ann's arm and dragging her along. Her frail body hardly supported her, one arm in the crook of her legs. Kat felt her energy focus and a strand of her white magic support her legs. Mary Ann raised on fist and pointed it forward. With a gasp, a black tear appeared before them.

Kat dove through and set Mary Ann down. The white magic striking the Venom through the tear and rendered them unconscious. Her head smacked against the hard concrete. The last vision set into her retina. The tear closing as Mary Ann crumpled to the ground. It was cold and dark, but in her subconscious she felt an everlasting peace.

The second piece of paper, Katrina was much more proud of. She had been working on it for longer than she had in the writing. It was a drawing of a girl and a dragon. It was her best colored picture. She had used colored pencils, oil pastels, and some paints to create her masterpiece. She had it sitting beside her as she edited some purple highlights in the hair.

Boomerang, her new cat laid curled up on the table beside her. Quickly, he woke up and ran off, in search of a mouse most likely. Katrina dropped her pencil and ran after her quick kitten. He raced up the stairs to the library with Katrina close behind.

Her work was lost in her mind as she chased Boomerang. Finally, with her kitten in her arms, she settled down at the tables. Her lack of sleep the last three days overtook her. Katrina fell fast asleep with Boomerang draped over her shoulders. Her work long forgotten, nagging at her subconscious.

Airlia walked around in the small hall when something caught her eye. She squinted and indeed in the corner of the room there was a paper with a blue hue to it. The paper floated slightly in the air when someone would pass and the airwave of their robes would send the paper moving again.

Happily smiling Airlia skipped over to it and smiled. She picked the paper up and turned it around in her hands, her eyes widening.

It was beautiful. Someone in the school was a true artist.

There on the table was an artwork of a woman with a dragon. She had her hands on its snout and the dragon and the woman looked at each other like they were connected. Like their souls were one.

The woman was gorgeous with straight brown hair, with a plait at the back. Her skin was milky and the shape of her face proportionate and aesthetically beautiful. There was a certain grace to her and even the fingers that pressed to the dragon's scales had so much detail in them the art must have taken hours to make.

Airlia leaned against the wall as she kept staring. The woman had jewelry; a silvery tiara on her head and leather cuffs from her wrists to her elbows. She stood before a wooden scenery and Airlia couldn't help but start imagining a story behind the photo.

Maybe the woman was some sort of a princess? The tiara seemed like she might be. Or perhaps a dragon queen or its trainer. But dragon trainers don't wear tiaras. Perhaps she grew up with the dragon. How amazing would that be? She looked strong.

In mere minutes as she stared a story of a princess and a dragon guarding her castle developed in her head. She imagined the kingdom the woman lived in and how she befriended the dragon, climbing on its back to leave the castle behind to find adventures in a magical forest. How she didn't need a prince to save her.

After a few minutes of narrating the story in her hear Airlia started seeking out the owner of the artwork. Maybe they could tell her what the story behind the photo was. She needed answers.

Maybe she could watch the artist make their second piece?

Airlia spoke to some students passing by, but no one seemed to know anything about it. No one had seen anything and the origin of the art was unknown to apparently all of Hogwarts.

It wasn't until Airlia came across a fellow Hufflepuff that thought the maker could be a Ravenclaw since they're so artistic that Airlia had an inkling.

Indeed if the artist was a Ravenclaw Airlia knew just where to look: the library. Ravenclaws basically live there. So with determination, she left for the library.

When Airlia entered the library she was excited. Which was strange since she rarely found anything exciting in the library. She preferred not to read; but if she did she just reread one of the muggle books her brother had gotten her.

And she always found the Hogwarts library confusing. There were too many bookshelves, aisles, people and books around to focus. So she preferred to stay out.

But today Airlia was seeking an adventure, and she'd never tried to look for one at the library so why not try it out now?

She walked around looking at the people she'd never met before. She didn't have many Ravenclaw friends because they found her stupidity exasperating and couldn't hold a conversation with her without getting frustrated. And the library was always full of Ravenclaws so she didn't know almost any of them.

Airlia started asking around but no one once again knew anything. She passed a table where a girl seemed to be sleeping and chose not to wake her up. She didn't want to bother this girl.

So she kept going and walked even deeper into the library.

The soft sound of footsteps awoke Katrina. Boomerang gave an exasperated 'murp!'as if yelling at her for waking him up. She rested him on the table and petted him to sleep. Her adorable orange fluff of a kitten quickly dozed off. Katrina rubbed her eyes and gave a huge yawn. She wondered what had woken her up and looked around.

A few students, mostly Ravenclaws, stood looking for books. Another girl, whom Katrina had never met, seemed to be looking for something. She stifled another yawn and stretched her back. Sleeping on a desk was not as comfortable as it seemed. Katrina shook herself slightly and cleared her throat.

"I can't believe I just fell asleep," she murmured, the noise would hardly be heard in any room but the stillness of the library. Here however, the noise seemed to be spoken loudly. A Ravenclaw with her head in a book gave Katrina a look before diving back into the novel.

Katrina tried to remember why she was there. She was sitting at a chair. Drawing? Yes, that what it was! Katrina looked through her satchel with growing fear. She couldn't have left it there! Someone certainly would have found it by now!

There were only a few items in her leather bag. A small sketchbook sat taking much of the room. A sequel to a medieval action book she had been reading sat beside it. A few discarded quills and pens sat at the bottom. There was a small plastic Tupperware container with some crackers in it as a snack for her. Another Tupperware had a few kitten snacks in it. The more she looked the more her desperation filled the pit in her stomach.

"Oh, nonononono" her murmur was quieter this time. She felt desperate tears prickle behind her eyes. She squeezed them shut and took a breath. She scooped up Boomerang and held him in her arms. She began towards the door when she realized she left her satchel.

Katrina went to grab it and saw the girl there again.

Airlia walked through all the rows of bookshelves just in case there was an antisocial Ravenclaw hiding out somewhere between them. You'd be surprised if you knew how many of those students she actually encountered, but none of them knew who'd made the piece.

So Airlia walked around with an art piece, worried about smudging it and no one knew anything about it.

She couldn't understand how that was possible. The art style was not a very common one, almost personal and unseen before, so finding a match for it from other pieces should have been simple.

For a moment Airlia thought that leaving the place she'd found it from had been a bad idea. Maybe she'd never find the creator now.

a few minutes had passed and soon Airlia had asked about the drawing from everyone in the library, even gathering her courage to ask the annoyed Ravenclaw that just started a tirade about everyone disturbing the peace in the library that day. After getting a five-minute lecture from her she left again to go ask a Slytherin boy that had just entered the library.

Turns out no one was really helpful that day. Mere minutes later Airlia noticed the Ravenclaw send an angry look to a girl that had just waken up. Airlia started approaching, thinking that since she now awoke, it really wouldn't be that disruptive to ask her too, right?

But as Airlia approached the girl searched for something and then bolted for the door with a cat in her arm.

Airlia walked over to the table and her eyes widened when she saw a sketchbook had slid on the table from a bag the girl had left behind. Maybe this girl would know the artist if she was one herself.

"Hey, you forgot your things." Airlia called after the girl, before feeling guilty as she watched the angry Ravenclaw form before give up on studying, get up from her table and march off with anger in her steps.
