Searching for Family Heritage
Shauna had only been in this grand school for about four days before the fact that her family heritage was a complete mystery to her. The whole time she's been here; she has heard about nothing but blood status & family heritage, thankfully today was a free day for her or at very least she had some free time before her next class. Instead of going to the Study Room or to her dorm like most students would she came straight the the library in attempt to begin the long & most likely grueling search for her family heritage.
Now she knew this was most likely to be a lost cause but figured that she had nothing else to do with her free time so why not? Soon enough she came upon the large double doors of the library where she slipped her way inside without making a lot of noise; her eyes scanned the tables only to see they were full which was fine by her. She made her way to the back of the library where she had found a couple of arm chairs by accident her first day to do some homework. She knew she couldn't but she had dubbed this spot as her own as anytime she came no one else was ever here; she hid her book bag behind the arm chair to go searching for some books.
Now came the tricky part; she didn't know any useful spells or really any spells....she was a bit behind in the world of Charms but no matter she was used to doing things the hard way. Just as she was tying her robes in such a way that would make them shorts a strange looking creature she has never seen before appeared at her side making her jump with a soft squeal.
The creature backed up a bit it's bat like ear's turning down ward slightly "Keesy is sorry miss. Keesy didn't mean to startle you." Shauna looked at this creature & took notice that this not only did this creature have bat like ears but also big round blue eyes almost the size of cookies. With long blonde hair "Oh it's alright Keesy; I'm easily startled but please don't think of me rude or anything....what are you?" Keesy's eye's brightened as she declared "Keesy is a Library Elf for Hogwarts Witchcvraft & Wizardry. Keesy has devoted her life to assisting students finding the books they need for their studies." Even though Keesy stated this so proudly the only thing Shauna seemed to hear is that there was a creature who was doing things for the witches & wizards that they could be doing themselves "Like a slave." even though it was a question it came out in the form of a statement.
Keesy shook her head which made her ears flop against her head softly "Keesy is not a slave miss. Neither are any of the other Elves here at this school. Although there might be still House Elves that are enslaved. Anyways what can I assist miss with today?" Shauna frowned deeply at the idea of anyone being a slave; she knows what that is like first hand. She forced herself to take a deep breathe "Um I am looking for anything to tell me who I am....my last name is Starr; with two R's so lets start there." Keesy nodded with a bright smile; Shauna watched the excitable House Elf take off within the shelves however so she didn't feel like she was taking advantage of the elf she started looking through some of the lower level shelves.

It seemed like herself and Keesy; the library elf had been looking for information with no luck for hours when Shauna decided to call it quits for the time being "Keesy...." she called out quietly. She was happy to see the adorable little elf had appeared at her side rather quickly "Yes miss?" Shauna smiled a bit "I think we've searched enough; I wish to thank you for your efforts....I may come back some other time to look some more but for now I'm going to head down to the Great Hall to get something to eat."
Keesy looked up at the witch with a rather sad look on her face "Oh miss, Keesy is sorry. Keesy wishes she could have found something. The only thing Keesy can come up with is that misses last name does not yet exist within the Wizarding community." Shauna smiled a bit not really giving much thought to what Keesy said as she really wasn't connecting the dots right now "Thanks again for all your help." she knelt down and give the house elf a hug before grabbing her bag.
She checked her bag to make sure she had all her belongings before leaving the library; she figured she could come back at a later date to do some more research.

Libby was lucky that the Library was on the ground floor. It was easier to get there from the Hufflepuff Common room rather than having to fly down a bunch of stairs. She had way too many books in her arms for all of that, especially since she wanted to keep her ankles.
She carried four books in total, though one was kept safely in her satchel. She either needed to get a bigger bag or not study for so many subjects. Libby figured that that large amount of studying she was about to do was well worth the toil.
Libby noticed a girl heading from the library but didn't say anything, since she was too busy struggling with her books.
She pushed her back against the the doors of the library, using her foot for extra force. She had to dart into the room because the doors closed quickly, almost catching on her crisp yellow sweater.
This time Libby's jaw didn't drop, like it did when she first came stepped into the library. In fact it actually made her weary seeing all of the books. She wondered if anyone actually tried to read all of them, because she knew she definitely didn't have time for that.
She dropped her books atop a table and sat down. She eyed the titles: Magical Drafts and Potions, Magic Theory, A History of Magic, and Book of Spells. Out of all of them Libby liked the grimoire the most, which she picked up first.
Libby leaned back in her chair, dangerously far, in fact. But she knew how to balance in a way that she wouldn't fall.
BADOOM. She fell anyways. Looking around sheepishly, Libby got back up and hurries into her chair, sitting upright this time. She laid the book on the table and studied as well as she could without taking notes.

Maya was sitting down in the library at one of the tables she didn’t go there to read or study like the other students Maya didn’t care much for school nothing helped her remember what she had to learn so she just doesn’t bother anymore, she wasn’t a big fan of rules or being told what to do either so it’s rare to see Maya in her robes and uniform or to be studying and doing homework
No Maya doesn’t come to study she sits in the library to draw she draws anywhere she can but the library is always quiet and she mostly sits in here when it’s raining outside the library also had an amazing view from the windows which Maya would sit and draw for hours
Today was a little different to others it wasn’t as quiet in the library, one girl a Ravenclaw came rushing into the library and started talking to ‘Keesy’ the elf in library the elf was a little like a librarian but not quite, Maya curiously looked at the girl and elf wander down each isle of books she kept wondering what the girl was looking so intensely for but after a while Maya heard the door open and when she looked back around the girl had left but she noticed another girl who she assumed was a Hufflepuff from the bright yellow jumper had sat down on a table nearby Maya but she was just studying so Maya went back to drawing
After a little while there was a bang to the side so Maya quickly looked around and noticed the Hufflepuff girl was now on the floor Maya presses her lips together being careful not to laugh at the poor girl that must of been embarrassing for her, she sighed and stood up carrying her sketch pad and pencil in her hand and she made her way over to the girls table and sat down opposite her since she was sitting alone
“You okay?” Maya asked as she placed her things on the table

Interacting with @Libby Holmgren and @Maya Hunter
The library would always be the one and only place where Griseldis can really focus on doing her homework. The last time she tried to do her homework at the Great Lake was a bit hard for her to concentrate. Nice place to relax, to practice Tai Chi and read books but not an ideal place to learn and study in her opinion. And ever since she became a Prefect, she barely had the time to study and been doing her Prefect duties almost non stop. Patrolling, guiding new students, helping the Professors, giving detention (well, only one so far...). It was indeed a stressful job but that didn't discourage her at all and Griseldis was very proud to be a Prefect. Helping people was a part of her nature after all. Today, Griseldis finally had some free time for herself. Instead of going outside doing some fun activities, she decided to study in the Library and do some research on a new spell called "Finite" for her Charm homework.
When Griseldis arrived at the library, she almost bumped into a Ravenclaw girl who was carrying a big bag that seemed to be heavy with some books inside. Griseldis watched as the brown-haired girl left the library on a hurry and disappeared into the hallway. She simply shrugged and entered the library. It wasn't a surprise to her that there were already many studious students in the Library, nothing really changed. Griseldis used the library quite often for a year now so she knew where the Charm sections were and found a book she needed about Charms for 2nd years. Suddenly, she heard a loud "BADOOM" noise from behind. Griseldis turned around to see what it was and saw a Hufflepuff girl with ginger hair fell from her seat. Luckily, the ginger girl quickly sat up to sit back on her chair looking slightly embarrassed. That somehow reminded herself how clumsy she was last year, she couldn't help but smile at the memories. Then another Hufflepuff girl with lovely wavy blond hair went to asked the other girl if she was ok.
Griseldis also wanted to make sure if the Hufflepuff ginger was fine, so she walked towards the Hufflepuffs and waved at them with a polite smile, "Hi there, I also wanted to make sure you're not hurt from the fall.". She placed her books and writing supplies on the table as well, looking up at them, she decided to introduce herself, "Hope you don't mind me sitting with you two, I'm Griseldis Edelhardt, you can just call me Gris. 2nd year, Prefect of Gryffindor."

Libby had forgotten all about falling but apparently other people didn't. Not a moment later a girl came over to sit with her, asking if she was okay.
She had been humming to a catchy song she didn't know the name and jumped when she heard a voice. Libby almost fell out of her chair again but she caught herself in time.
“UM, yes I'm okay! Thanks for asking!” She took a deep breath and let it out, trying to calm her nerves. She gave her a toothy smile.
“Okay, so,” she began, smoothing out the current page in her book. “I'm actually Libby—”
Just then another girl joined them. This time she was startled but a little embarrassed. She really needed to stop attracting so much darn attention to herself. But she was glad that she wasn't sitting alone anymore, at least.
Libby gazed at her with raised brows and parted lips. She mumbled a thank you, for the concern, and listened as the girl explained how she was a Gryffindor Prefect in her second year named Griseldis Edelhardt, but said they could just call her Gris. Libby just stared with her mouth open for a moment before catching herself.
She stood up and offered her hand. “HI, I'M LIB—I mean, I'm actually Libby Holmgren but you can just call me Libby. And I'm a first year and I'm not a Prefect.”
She gave her a half-smile and then plopped back down in her seat. Her back hurt a little so she stretched her arms and cracked her knuckles out habit. Her blue eyes darted back and forth between the two girls.

It didn't take long for Shauna to make it back to the library from the Great Hall; when she got there she stopped for a moment wondering why this was such a big deal to her right now. I have seven years in this school after all She thought to herself trying to really hard to convince herself that this was a non-issue. However no matter how much she tried convincing herself of this she knew it would drive her nuts until she found out something about her parents.
She knew she had to start some place new but really didn't know where to start; for now she put all of this out of her mind and looked around the library where she seen a Gryffindor and two Hufflepuff's sitting at a table together. Her mind went back to when she was leaving the library the first time; she could have swore she bumped into someone and believes she seen a flash of crimson. Was it her I bumped into? She wondered then walked over to the table of mixed houses she first looked at the Gryffindor "I wanted to say that I'm sorry for running into you earlier. I've been very distracted lately." She thought she ran into this girl; she was unaware that they actually did not bump into each other. She then looked at the two Hufflepuff's giving them a friendly nod in acknowledgement.
After standing there like a lump for a while once more Shauna decided to just leave the library this was going to be a useless feat anyways.
